This is the final chapter everyone. I hope you enjoyed this journey of ours.

As Ren returned to his hotel, his parents rushed towards him with concern after seeing his bleeding face. He began laughing irresistably before wiping away some tears that had formed from his manic episode. "Neither of you have to worry. I'm fine."

"But how did you hurt yourself?" His mother asked.

"I told you before you left, didn't? Phantom Thief business."

"Did it… Did it turn out like you were hoping for?" His father hesitantly asked.

Ren started up another fit of laughter before calming himself down. "Honestly, now that I think about it, I don't know what I was hoping for. But it definitely ended well." Ren retreated into his bedroom, collapsing on the bed, exhausted from his fight with Akechi.

Masato saw Morgana simply sitting on the floor, staring at him. "Think you can tell us what happened?" The cat simply walked away, jumping onto the couch and curling up into a ball. "God almight, I just asked a cat a question like he was going to answer me." He said to himself, walking off towards his bedroom.

The next day, Ren and his parents never even left the hotel. The two had demanded that they spend the whole day listening to everything that happened in his time in Tokyo. He couldn't help, but smile as he was reminded of Sae's interrogation. Nevertheless, he obliged them. He told them everything he could remember from his first day in Tokyo to his last. He even recounted the events of last night, despite knowing that the two of them would chastise him for not only fighting, but for meeting with Akechi despite their history. In the end, the two elder Amamiyas accepted everything their son had told them as truth. To say they were worried about him would be tantamount to saying fire was warm, but regardless of their fears, they trusted and respected their son for everything he had done.

After that night, they got some rest and made their way to the train station to head home the next morning. As they were about to enter the station, however, they were halted by a familiar voice. "Ah, hell no! You ain't doin' this again!"

Ren turned around to see Ryuji hopping out of the same van they had used to draw the government agents away from them when he first left Tokyo. "What is this?" He asked.

"Whaddya think it is? We're drivin' you back, dude!" Ryuji sidestepped Ren and addressed his parents instead. "Sorry, but we couldn't drive him home last time, cuz of those damn a-holes that were following us, but since they ain't here now, we're taking him back home. It ain't negotiable either!"

Both Kimiko and Masato couldn't help but laugh at his straightforwardness. They looked to Ren and gave him their blessing to which he nodded in thanks.

Both he and Morgana entered the back of the van and were stunned to see Akechi sitting beside them in his old ensemble. With his arms crossed and eyes closed, he spoke to them. "Make no mistake, Ren. We're rivals, not friends. The only reason why I'm not attacking you now is because it would smear my pride to beat you while you're not at your absolute best."

"What a coincidence." He responded with a smile. "I was just about to say the same to you."

Akechi let out an angry grunt, leading the van's inhabitants to laugh uncontrollably. "Man, Akechi is such a tsundere." Futaba joked.

"Care to repeat that, child?" He threatened.

"I said, you're a tsundere! Now shut up. You're not scaring anyone."

He sat back into his seat, grunting once more as he wondered how long this hellish journey would take him. He surmised that any length of time would be far too long for his own sanity.

Ren, however, couldn't stand the thought of this roadtrip ending. Knowing that it would though, he wasted no time enjoying every second of the trip, eager to see what sort of trouble the lot of them could get into on the drive back to his hometown. Regardless of how little time they had together, the Phantom Thieves were back. Every member to have ever been part of the group were together, and they were comforted by that fact. The only thing that could make the trip better for them all would be finding a new heart to steal.
