(A/N: This one-shot is my Secret Santa gift for erythteria on Tumblr and Twitter who wanted some fluff with a wide arrange of characters, ships, and scenarios to choose from. For this, I choose to do some Shulk/Reyn stargazing fluff from Shulk's POV. I do not own any of the characters or settings nor does anyone else in this Secret Santa. "Wow. The view sure is different compared to the colony."

I turned to face Reyn as he looked up at the night sky above. Our journey to Colony 6 has lead the two of us the the Bionis' Leg and it has gotten late as the trek through Tephra Cave seemed to have taken most of the afternoon given what happened in there.

"Man... just look at that night sky!" Reyn said in stunned awe. "Amazing, ain't it, Shulk?"

"Well..." I muttered. "It appears to be the same everywhere. The only difference here is that we can see more of it."

My childhood friend looked at me before he took my words as a cue to set up camp for the night at the Jabos Rock Rest Area. With the light of the campfire being the only source of light, I looked up at the night sky to gaze at the stars above.

I remember Dickson telling me that those who have died look down on us, watching us continue to live our lives from the stars. Every time I looked up at the night sky after the attack, I imagine that Fiora is up there, watching me and Reyn on our quest to make the Mechon pay for what they did to the colony and to her.

However, the clearer sight of the stars have let me something that I couldn't back in the colony. Seven stars were closer to each other and brighter than the rest, all different colors, red, orange, yellow, mulberry, turquoise, purple, and ginger. That's strange. I didn't see those before, were those stars always like that? Or do they mean something bigger than I could imagine?

"Hey, Reyn." I said. "Do you remember what Dickson told us about the stars?"

He looked at me before looking up at the sky as he spoke. "Of course. He said that the dead watch us from the stars. Told us when we were kids."

"Well..." I scratched the back of my head before pointing at the seven stars. "From here, I've noticed those seven stars were different than the others."

Reyn gazed at the seven stars I was referring to and became curious. "Oh... well that's a new one. What do ya think they mean, Shulk?"

The seven stars seem to become reflective into my eyes as I told him my theory, feeling a faint blush on my face. "Perhaps, they're meant to be a sign on how our journey is going to go? I mean, there's seven stars, so if you and me are represented by two of them, then that means there are five others who are going to get involved with us in the future."

"Man... I'd love to see if that's true." My childhood friend said before giving me a thumbs up. "If it is, then I'd say we'd make a pretty great team together."

I felt my face becoming red as my blush intensified as I looked at him. I smiled as I spoke. "Well, I suppose that's something to look forward to."

I softly grabbed his hand before continuing. "I love you, Reyn. I think we would make good lovers."

Now Reyn was blushing intensely as well and was clearly shocked by my words. "Weren't we..? Already lovers?"

"Yeah... but now, it's official." I responded. "Our journey may be tough, but no matter how hard it is, I'll always be by your side, fighting alongside you."

I brought him down to my eye level so my blue eyes gazed into his brown ones before pressing my lips to his. He then came over his shock and returned the kiss. The seven stars glowed brightly above us, the future is shining down on us, I can feel it. Me, Reyn, and the five which the stars represent will face the future together.

Even if it is something to fear, the future will be ours to decide. It is fated in the stars themselves.
