Mackenzie turned off the radio

"My god..." said Mackenzie

"This is starting to worry me." Chloe said as a loud bang was heard

This startled max and made him whine

"What was that?!" Mackenzie exclaimed confused and startled

"I think it's best we get out of here." Said Chloe as dozens of police cars,ambulances and Humvees rushed past their car.

"Those are army vehicles!" Mackenzie said with concern

Max was still crying and scared

"It's ok baby. Mummy and daddy are here." Chloe said as she petted the crying max.

An army vehicle with sirens that said military police on it pulled up beside them

"Sir remain in your vehicle and get your family out of here." The mp said.

But then the mp was shot in the head from behind by a armor piercing bullet that shattered the mp's back window blowing his brains out.

This caused max,Mackenzie and Chloe to scream in horror. They drove off full speed. But a black truck caught up to them and pitted them. The heavily armed dogs began to pry open the car doors and pull Mackenzie and his family out.

What are you doing? Let us go!" Chloe begged

"your a witness. You all have to die" the man said remorselessly.

"NO PLEASE!" Chloe begged

Mackenzie was pinned down. They saw insurgents pull max out of the car and saw them begin to drag and hit them.

"HE'S JUST A PUPPY! YOU DEMENTED SONS OF B*TCHES!" Mackenzie screamed with fury and fear

Max screamed in pain and fear as he was dragged and hit by the laughing mutts

"PLEASE DON'T HURT MY SON!" Chloe screamed and begged as she was held back by the demented mutts.

"I SWEAR TO GOD I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU!" Mackenzie screamed in complete rage at the sight of his child and girlfriend being beaten and dragged.

Sirens began to approach.

"Ok enough fun boys we gotta get out of here!" The head insurgent screamed.

They all pressed the barrels of their guns against Mackenzie and his family's heads.

Then out of nowhere. Shots rang off. But it wasn't the men. It was from the roofs of the surrounding buildings. The insurgents dropped dead. All hit in the head by these precise bullets. Multiple police cars and humvees rolled up. Swat and army soldiers secured to area and made way for traffic. Chloe and Mackenzie sat on the curb. Chloe held and hugged the heavily injured max. Who was crying and shaking in pain. Medics rushed to them.

"ma'm? Are you ok?" The female medic asked

"Y..yes." Chloe said shakily.

"Ok. May I see the pup?" The medic asked softly.

Chloe handed max to the medic. Since the hospitals were already overwhelmed. They had to treat max in the ambulance.

Max screamed in pain and fear as the medics disinfected his wounds.

The medics shushed and comforted him

"It's ok honey. Your mum and dad are waiting for you." The medic assured max.

The medics noticed max wasn't able to walk on one of his back legs. It was fractured and bruised. They put a cast on it. A doctor on sight told Chloe it would take weeks to recover.

The medics gave the bandaged up max to Chloe and Mackenzie.

2 posse members walked up. It was rusty and captain

"Mackenzie?" Captain asked.

"Captain?" Mackenzie asked shakily

"Hey buddy. Are you all ok?" Captain asked with concern

"Yeah. Thank you guys for saving us." Mackenzie said thankful that his friends and the army saved him.

"That poor pup." Said rusty as he slinged his ar15 over his back.

The army gave Mackenzie and his family an escort home...

Once they made it back home*

Chloe and Mackenzie sat on the couch.

Mackenzies held max in his arm. Max was shaking and in pain.

"It's ok my boy. Your safe now. Mummy and daddy are here." Mackenzie said as he held his son close to him.

Max buried his head into Mackenzie's chest. It was his favorite way of showing affection.

Mackenzie gave the pup a small kiss on his forehead.

"Listen. I heard the us is bringing people to Los Angeles county With the economic advancements we should be able to move into a decent neighborhood and get good jobs. I heard everyone else is going there. I think we should. It's best for us. For max" said Chloe

"If it's the best for us all. Then we should. Australia is not gonna hold. Even with u.s assistance the insurgency is winning" said Mackenzie

Shortly after the incident the neighborhood began to evacuate. They were gonna go to Los Angeles. A new city in a new country. They had to leave Australia. It was all over. The entire country had been ravaged by war. Soon after they left the prime minister was found hanging from the roof of the capitol building in Canberra and the defense force was crushed by the insurgency. Something was different about this enemy. They had unmatched technology. Unmatched man power. Once the cities were evacuated. The u.s pulled all troops out of Australia.

Australia was no more
