Clary Acelia
I checked my watch for the third time in the span of two minutes as I waited in the plush school office for the new student to arrive. I had been chosen to be a guide for them since it was their first day. I watched the glass door swing open, and saw a girl with long, tanned legs and stunning, honey blond locks walk in confidently.
She was wearing a simple grey wooden shirt with a white owl on it and casual blue denim shorts but somehow, it looked amazing on her. I immediately felt the initial surge of envy that I was sure most people got when they sighted her. My eyes travelling up her face, I somehow expected to see blue eyes greeting me, completing the typical Californian girl look.
Instead, I got grey orbs, flicking around the room, until they rested on mine. They were definitely unusual, but still beautiful. Deep, intensifying and calculating, they made me shrink away from her. I took a deep breath as I jumped up from my seat.
"Hi, are you Annabeth Chase?" I asked.
She blinked before offering a polite smile and replied, "Yes, that's me. Who are you?"
I gave a small smile and answered, "Clary. Clary Acelia. I'm your guide today, so just follow me to classes and I'll also take you on a tour of the school." I winked as I added, "I'll give you some gossip on anyone who we pass, and who to look out for"
Annabeth's light chuckle filled the room as she nodded and followed me out the door.

His gorgeous sea green eyes pulled me in. Hues of different blues and greens were splattered across his eyes. He gazed into my crystal blue ones and gently stroked my wavy, chestnut brown hair.
My eyes raked his silky, jet black hair. He reached out with his hand and pulled me closer, grabbing my light blue cardigan. This was the moment I had waited for forever. It was finally happening.
I was getting closer and closer. I could feel his warm breath tickling my rosy cheeks. I closed my eyes. He moved his lips closer to mine and I waited for his soft lips to touch mine. My heart sped faster as he leaned in and - "EEEE-!" I giggled as I woke from my daydream.
"Clary! Earth to Clary! Class is over!" Annabeth yelled, while she stopped tickling me, releasing me from the giggles holding me captive.
"That was a good dream!" I pouted. "How'd you wake me up so quickly?" I wondered.
"My best friend is really hard to wake up." Annabeth explained, "I've tried waking him up a lot of different ways, but only one works." She pulled me from the chair that I was sitting in.
We walked to the cafeteria and sat down to lunch, claiming a table. I waved to a couple of my friends who were eating lunch at the opposite end of the table. I usually sat with them, but the bench looked like it was full.
I saw my crush sitting amongst them. Percy Jackson. His stunning sea green eyes accompanied with his midnight black locks made him a popular choice for a partner. Then I saw the 'queen' of the school, Catherine 'Cathy' Parkinson, strutting towards our table, stopping at Percy. She was definitely going to ask him out, like every other day. It had become some sort of a rountine, ending with her being rejected by him, who turned every single person down the same way, saying he had a girlfriend.
Everyone else didn't believe him. He never showed us any pictures of her. I personally thought that he was just waiting for the right person to ask him. Me.
"Who's she?" Annabeth hissed.
I noticed that she had her fists clenched. "Oh, her? She's Catherine Parkinson, the 'queen' of the school," I answered, watching her get rejected, her shoulders slumped as she slinked away.
"What was she doing?" Annabeth inquired.
"Asking Percy Jackson out. Also, don't bother asking him out as well. He's turned down every single girl that's asked him. He says he has a girlfriend that lives in San Francisco. I don't believe him," I said casually.
"Alright," Annabeth smirked.
She abandoned her Greek salad and stood up, striding towards where Percy was sitting. I sighed. The thing was, I did care about Annabeth. I didn't want her heart broken. But I knew that I couldn't change her mind.
I abandoned my pasta on the table and hurried towards her. I saw her sneaking up behind Percy. He noticed me first.
"Hey, Chestnut!" Percy called out to me. That was his nickname for me since I had chestnut coloured hair.
I saw Annabeth's hand clamp on his shoulder.
"No, sorry. I have a girlfriend," Percy sighed.
"Aw, you don't recognise your own girlfriend?" Annabeth teased, glaring mockingly at him.
"Wise Girl?" Percy exclaimed.
"Yeah, Seaweed Brain!" Annabeth said happily.
I froze. Percy did have a girlfriend. And it was Annabeth. They turned to each other and kissed. On. The. Lips. The entire room fell quiet. I turned and ran out of the cafeteria, the tears stinging my eyes and cascading down my face. I ran and ran, not knowing where to go.
still pretty bad, but i think it's an improvement lmAo- anyway, please feel free to give suggestions or requests!
