Sam, Dean and Bobby are all sitting around reminiscing about their lives when there's a knock at the door.

Dean gets up, "I got it."

Dean opens the door, and finds himself face to face with Castiel.

"Cas?" Dean asks half surprised, half upset.

"Hello Dean."

The two stare at one another for a moment, not sure how to proceed. Finally Castiel breaks the awkward silence, "I came to see how you're settling in. I, um, I meant to stop by sooner, but I thought you might be angry with me."

Dean scoffs, "You're damn right I'm angry!" he growls. Sam and Bobby trade worried glances. Dean continues, "My best friend for more than a decade, who I've literally gone to Hell and back with, drops an emotional truth nuke on me, and then just disappears. So yeah, I'm a little angry."

Cas, a bit hurt, replies, "I did it to save you, Dean."

"Oh, no, I get that. And don't think I take your sacrifice lightly. But what I don't get is why you waited until then to say something."

Cas and Dean step out onto the porch, shutting the door behind them, "Dean, you were my best friend. I loved spending every minute with you. And I was afraid that if I told you how I really felt, that I'd loose you. There was no point in revealing my feelings, when they wouldn't be returned. So I was content with just being your best friend."

Dean shakes his head, "You really are a dumbass." Cas's expression saddens. "Cas, you really think that even if I didn't feel the same, I would have just stopped being your friend because of feelings you have no control over?" The angel isn't sure how to respond. Dean sighs, and his scowl softens, "Well, you can quit worrying about it ok? 'Cause I do feel the same. There, ya happy? I said it."

Cas stares at Dean in disbelief, "You do? But, I thought you were attracted to women."

Dean glances away, "Yeah, well, so did I. I mean, I still am, but...dammit Cas, I...I like being with you. Alright? I like who I am when I'm with you. And I hate it when you're gone. Like, really hate it. So yeah. I'm pretty sure we're on the same page." Cas gives Dean a loving smile. "Ahem, alright, well that's enough of this sentimental crap. Did you want to come in, or what?"

"Uh, yes. Sure. But, I actually have something else I need to talk to you and Sam about." The two head back inside.

Sam and Bobby look up, "Uh, everything ok guys?" asks Sam.

"Yeah. We're good," Dean flashes Cas a smirk and a wink.

Sam catching on, clears his throat, "Alright, well come in Cas. Have a seat." Dean and Cas sit down.

"So what did you need to talk to us about Cas?" Dean asks.

"Well, I know you two haven't been here very long, but Jack and I were thinking you guys could still do a lot more good down on Earth."

Sam's eyes widen as Dean's narrow skeptically, "What are you sayin' Cas?"

Castiel looks to Sam, then Dean, "Reincarnation."

Dean raises his brows, "Come again?"

"We would like to reincarnate you two, and put you back on the front lines."

Dean looks to Sammy, then Cas, "You mean like being born again, and growing up and all that crap?"

"No, not exactly. You guys would be adults. Sort of like resurrection, except we would have to create new bodies for you. Dean, I know you always liked being out there, doing good, and saving people. And Sam, while I know it wasn't your dream, you also took pride in helping others. And together, you two could take on whatever the world threw at you."

Sam and Dean consider Cas's proposal in silence for a moment, "Can we think about it?"asks Sam.

"Of course," says Cas, "I have a few other things to attend to, but I can stop by later, if that's alright."

"Sure, yeah," Sam answers.

Cas stands to leave and heads for the door. "Hey Cas, wait." Dean hops up and rushes after him, "I'll, uh, see you tonight then."

Cas smiles at Dean, "Right."
