A/N: There are three major changes in the first part of this story from canon, first is Goku is female, next is Goku's personality is more of a mixture of her parents meaning she has a love for fighting like her male counter part but she is also a lot calmer as a child meaning she doesn't fall into the ravine as canon Goku did, and third Grandpa Gohan manages to survive the Ozaru attack removing Goku's tail. Though other than that Goku's personality will not be that different from canon she will just be a little smarter and wont be so socially awkward well at least after she meets Bulma.
Ill be mostly summarizing most of dragon ball other than what I feel will be important changes.
P.s: Don't ask about couplings I have them planned out already, and will be revealed in time.
Dragon's Chronicle
Age 737
Son Gohan was out gathering herb's to season his supper when what he thought was a meteorite landed in the field about fifty feet away from where he was standing, the shock wave knocking him off his feet, Gohan groaned as he stood looking towards the "meteor" which he discovered was actually what seemed to be a space pod which opened to reveal a baby with crazy spiky black hair that came down to their mid back and a brown tail that trashed around behind them. "Oh my who would shoot a baby off in a spaceship" he said while picking the fussing baby, one sniff revealed the baby had soiled themselves. "I guess we should get you changed huh" he said as he looked down on the child with a smile, the fussy child seemed to calm with his smile.
"So you're a girl huh, lil cutey" he said as he finished changing her, the girl laughed and grabbed Gohan's mustache. "Ow ow" Gohan cried causing the girl to laugh a little harder but let go of his mustache, "I think I should give you a name huh..." he put his hand to his chin "How do you like Goku?" the girl laughed harder, "guess you like it huh."
Life for the small family of Gohan and Goku went by quickly but quietly with the first few years consisting of Goku laughing happily as she watched Gohan go though his daily life, she especially liked watching him train. When Goku was old enough she began training with Gohan and helping out around the hut, but their happy life would soon be cut short by a dark visitor.
Age 749
Gohan was observing Goku go though her drills watching for any mistakes when an unfamiliar voice spoke up, "So it is true The martial arts master Son Gohan does live on this mountain." Gohan spun around to see a man with black hair wearing a pink cheng pao (what his vest thingy is called according to the dragon ball wiki) with the kanji for kill centred over the left of his chest over his training gi. "I was told you lived alone who is the child?" the trespasser questioned while looking over to Goku "No matter I was hired to kill you and leave no witnesses, dont worry it shall be fast I have a reputation of being quite efficient."
"Grandpa what is he talking about" Goku squeaked, something about this man told her to run she could feel waves of what later she would learn to know as killing intent coming off the assassin, making her nauseous.
"Goku run if I can beat him ill join you after" Gohan said calmly as he slipped into his fighting stance.
"But Grandpa! I can help, I can fight too" She responded shakily as she fell into a sloppy stance , the assassin's killing intent still throwing Goku off making her body shake like a leaf in a wind storm.
"Absolutely not!" Gohan yelled scaring Goku further, Gohan had never yelled at her like that before. "This man is a killer you must run if you want to live!" with that Goku turned to run with tears falling from her eyes.
"Noble of you sacrificing yourself for your granddaughter, and because I have respect for you I give you my word as a warrior that if you can last till she is out of sight ill allow her to live to possibly avenge you one day" The assassin said as he fell into his stance.
"Thank you" Gohan responded happily before charging in, the battle lasted far longer than the assassin had expected taking four hours to kill the old man.
"Well you lasted more than long enough to ensure that girl lives, well done Son Gohan" the assassin said as he inspected his torn cloths, "I best leave and inform my employer that I've completed the hit." he said while turning to leave.
Hours later Goku returned to the hut she had shared with her grandpa seeing his body lying on the ground, "Grandpa!" she screamed as she ran to his body hugging his lifeless arm crying into his sleeve, she couldn't help but stay like that for another hour or so meaning the sun had fallen. Goku decided she needed to bury her grandfather so she grabbed the shovel they had for planting veggies, It took her hours and the sun was beginning to raise in the sky by the time Goku had finished burying her grandpa.
Noting she was very dirty and hungry so she mechanically made her way down to the river to clean herself and possibly catch a fish for breakfast, after jumping into the water the shock of the cold water brought Goku out of her trance reminding her of what had happened the day before making her cry again. After breakfast Goku sat before the ball her grandfather called his treasure the four star dragon ball, this made her think of her grandpa again but this time she remembered all the fun she and he had together this brought upon a mixture of emotions for Goku mostly anger at the man who had killed Gohan, "Ill avenge you one day grandpa" she whispered as tied her power pole to her back.
A knock at the door surprised Goku, "Hello anyone home?" a feminine voice called out. Goku simply stepped out of the hut with her power pole in hand, as she did she saw a blue haired girl who was looking at her with curiosity.
"W- who are you" Goku stuttered as an image of the assassin that killed her grandfather flashed through her mind.
The older girl didnt answer initially simply looking Goku over, noticing the girl seemed a little scared she decided to answer "I'm Bulma Briefs" Bulma's voice was very chipper "and you are?"
"I'm Goku..." she said as she slowly put down her power pole, this girl seemed really nice and also was not putting off the weird aura like the assassin who killed her Grandpa.
"Hello Goku do you live here?" Goku nodded hesitantly, "Okay cool!" Bulma exclaimed "I'm looking for a ball like this one in this area have you seen one like it?" she said while pulling out the five star ball, Goku's eyes widened.
"You have a treasure like grandpa's!" Goku exclaimed happily while pulling her own four star ball.
"That's it!" Bulma almost shouted making Goku cover her ears dropping the four star ball in the process, "sorry I got a little excited" Bulma apologized while handing Goku back her ball.
"Thanks" the younger girl said with a smile, Bulma was about to say something but was cut off by her stomach growling embarrassing the girl. "Are you hungry?" Goku questioned curiously, gaining an embarrassed nod from the blue haired girl. With a quick look to the sky before turning to look at Bulma again Goku smiled brightly, "Well it is almost lunchtime, I have some fish left from breakfast would you like to join me for lunch?"
Bulma seemed surprised "You sure we just met after all" Goku simply nodded with the same goofy smile plastered on her face.
After a quick lunch where Bulma was blown away by the amount of food the younger girl could put away, "So why are you looking for these dragon balls as you call them" Goku asked while looking at the four star ball in her hand.
This question seemed to excite Bulma, "A few months ago I found the two star ball in my basement, apparently my dad had found it when he was young and had always meant to look for the others but never had the chance, so with his help I made this!" Bulma said triumphantly while pulling out her Dragon radar and brandishing it before Goku who was a bit confused but Bulma's excitement had begun to rub off on the younger girl, "its a radar for finding Dragon Balls."
This only confused Goku further, "Whats a radar?" she asked while tilting her head to the side.
Bulma nearly fell over at the question, 'is she really that sheltered' she thought while looking at the raven haired girl before her who just stared back with a blissful ignorance. "How do I explain this... This radar is a device that follows a specific energy to help you find something and that something is a Dragon Ball."
"Okay I think I understand" Goku chirped.
"Well back to you're question, after a bunch of research I found the use of the Dragon Balls. And that was when they are brought together they grant the user's wish no matter what it is."
Goku's eye's lit up at the prospect, "C, can they bring back the dead?" Goku asked being uncharacteristically nervous.
Bulma looked at Goku with surprise, but the girl's seriousness after asking the question had Bulma answering without thinking. "I only found rumours about returning the dead to life, and from what I read the major theory was only those who have died within a certain amount of time of the Dragon Balls being used the majority consensus is one year after death is the max the Dragon Balls can bring back."
This made Goku think deeply hey eye's falling to a spot on the ground, 'I could bring back Grandpa Gohan, but Bulma has both the radar and two of the balls I couldn't take them from her...' Goku looked up at Bulma who was staring intently at the younger girl. Before Goku could say anything Bulma asked her own question, "Who do you want to bring back?" Bulma asked seemingly reading Goku's mind.
Goku was momentarily stunned by Bulma's question, but after a few long seconds Goku spoke "My Grandpa, he was..." Goku paused fighting back tears, "he was killed... By an assassin" by this point Goku had started freely crying.
Without thinking Bulma closed the gap between them and pulled the younger girl into a hug, "I know we just met and I know you dont know me very well, but I promise ill help you gather the rest of the Dragon Balls to revive your Grandpa." Goku was once again stunned by the blue haired beauty and did not know what to say to her new friend, so she just hugged her back and cried a little harder.
The girls spent the rest of the day gathering everything Goku would need to join Bulma on her quest, and spent the night telling stories till they fell asleep under the stars forging their friendship for evermore.
The next day Goku and Bulma set out to look for the next dragon ball which was not far away, after about half the day the girls found themselves at a stream where they decided to take a break and get water.
Bulma was sitting on what she assumed was a rock watching Goku expertly swim through the water chasing after fish in an attempt at a fresh lunch, Bulma was so amazed by the younger girl in front of her she did not initially notice the "rock" beneath her start to move until it was to late to catch herself from falling on her face in mud.
"What the..." Bulma exclaimed as she stood turning to see a large turtle, "Wha..."
"Hello there" the turtle greeted happily.
"IT TALKS!" Bulma screamed before fainting in a heap, the turtle seemed to be flustered as he had meant only to greet the girl.
Goku who was coming up for air after catching a average sized fish (still nearly as big as her lol), when she heard Bulma scream. A quick glance in her friends direction had her noting Bulma was in no trouble as it seemed the turtle who had made her faint was freaking out about not being able to wake the girl. After a quick swim back to the shore Goku decided to greet the turtle "hello turtle may i ask what happened to my friend."
The turtle quickly turned around to see a black haired girl wearing a blue bathing suit, "Uh she was sitting on me while I was sleeping I think she mistook me for a rock, and when I woke I accidentally knocked her off" the turtle said with guilt in his voice, "then I scared her when I talked I dont think she has met a talking animal before."
"I haven't either its really cool" Goku chirped making the turtle feel better, while they waited turtle explained how he got lost while looking for mushrooms for him and his friend a year prior leaving the turtle to search for a way to get back to the ocean and his old friend.
"We can help him get back to the ocean were heading that way anyway" Goku exclaimed to Bulma who had just woken.
"Id love to say we could but how he's a full grown turtle he has to weigh a ton or more" Bulma said with a bit of remorse tinting her voice.
"I can carry him" Goku said triumphantly.
This made Bulma laugh inside a bit "Goku I'm not sure you realize how heavy a ton is..." Bulma paused as she watched in abject horror as the petite girl Goku easily picked up the turtle and lifted him over her head "What the hell" Bulma lamented not believing her eye's.
Goku adjusted her hold with a disgruntled look on her face, "little awkward but should be no problem. How far away is the ocean Bulma." Bulma nearly fell over, 'what is this girl made of?' Bulma sighed before checking the map. "The ocean is about one hundred miles away, if we take it slow it will take about two hours" Bulma said while putting the map away.
As Bulma got on her bike Goku took off at full speed, "don't worry about me Bulma we can go fast" she laughed as she disappeared into a cloud of dust.
Bulma looked at the cloud in disbelief "its gotta be the mountain air..." Bulma halfheartedly joked before following after Goku.
It took just under an hour for the girls to help the turtle to the ocean, Goku placed the turtle down before reaching for her water. "There you go" Goku said with a smile, "The ocean!" the raven haired girl exclaimed while spinning. Bulma could not believe the energy Goku had, Bulma could feel the strain of riding her bike for so long but Goku seemed like she had done a heaver than normal warm up but was still raring to go, the blue haired heiress was speechless.
"HA!" Echoed though the area causing the group to look in the direction of the sound, and way down the shore Goku could see a buff man standing facing two perpendicular walls of water.
"That's him that's my friend Roshi!" the turtle exclaimed while trying to rush to his friend before being picked up once more by Goku.
"Ill get you to you're friend" Goku chirped before taking off once more, the girl reached the man quickly to hear another voice this one sounding younger.
"Wow that was amazing Master Roshi!" a bald boy in a orange gi yelled, as Goku looked back to the large man she instead saw a shrivelled old man.
"Roshi!" The turtle yelled as Goku put him down.
"Turtle my old friend you've returned, and you have brought girls" Roshi said watching Bulma approach with a lecherous grin. "One of them is a little young" he said poking at Goku's growing chest, earning a hard punch from the girl.
"No need to be nasty" Goku growled while wrapping her arms around her chest, her cheeks red in embarrassment.
This is when Bulma caught up, "Whats going on Goku why did you punch him?" the blue haired girl questioned as she jogged up to the other girl.
"He's a pervert" Goku said simply before turning to leave, before being stopped by the old man.
Goku got ready to hit the old man once again but she noticed the Dragon Ball around his neck causing the girl to pause.
"You strike well" Roshi complimented, his demeanour changing slightly. "May I ask who trained you?" he asked his tone more serious.
Goku was taken aback by the question, the old man was giving off an aura like the assassin who killed her Grandfather but softer and with no malice it made Goku uneasy an slow to respond. "Uh, My Grandpa Gohan" Goku answered nervously.
"That explains it you are the girl Gohan wrote to me about, I apologize for my earlier actions" Roshi said with a bow. Allow me to introduce myself and my student, My name Muten Roshi and this is my student Krillen."
"You knew my Grandpa!?"Goku asked not allowing anyone else to speak.
"Why yes I trained him after all" Roshi responded before noting the girls wording, "Has something happened to Gohan?"
Goku felt a wave of nausea when a flash of the assassin flashed though her mind, "He was killed" she responded simply.
"I am sorry to hear that" the old master lamented. Roshi could see the girl was fighting with her own emotions so he decided to try and lighten the mood he would get answers on his own later no need to hurt the girl further, "May I ask what you are doing so far from Mt. Paozu."
This seemed to take Goku's mind off the previous question, "We are looking for the Dragon Balls" she responded indicating towards Bulma.
Bulma leaned over to whisper in her friends ear, "I dont know if we should say how many we have ill explain later." Goku nodded though she did not understand what Bulma was getting at.
"Hmm very well I have a deal for you if you can beat my student here in a sparring match ill give you my Dragon Ball."
Goku's eye's widened in glee not only did she get to fight someone new but she could get another step of the way to reviving her Grandpa, "Goku you dont have to if you do not want to I dont want you to push yourself into this."
"Its okay I want to i like to fight its fun" Goku chirped before turning to her opponent, "I'm Son Goku nice to meet you, do you're best because I will!" Goku almost shouted with a bow towards the bald boy.
"I'm Krillen nice to meet you too Goku" Krillen said with a bow, "I look forward to our spar" with that the bald boy slipped into his fighting stance with Goku falling into her stance as well.
There stances were very similar but to the trained eye you could see the differences between the stances, Goku's stance was more defensive with her right hand poised to grab her power pole if needed. Where as Krillen's stance looked like it favoured offence, both fighters stared for a while until Krillen lost his patients and rushed the slightly smaller girl kicking up sand. Goku saw the right hook coming and intended to counter with a high kick to the head, though as she did Krillen turned his head to minimize the damage, a flurry of punch's and kick's flew from both combatants at high speed to the point where Bulma could barely see what was going on.
The stand off was broken when Goku knocked Krillen over with low spin kick countering his high kick, "Winner is Goku" Roshi announced.
"But I can keep going I can win" Krillen complained as he stood up.
Though Goku looked like she wanted to continue Roshi was sure of his decision, "You may have but after you would have no energy for your chores plus Goku landed twice as many hits as you did" he smiled. "As Promised the Three Star Dragon Ball" Roshi announced as he handed Goku the ball, "Oh I almost forgot I have a gift for you for helping my friend get back to me" the old man made a hand sigh indicating for everyone to wait and with a deep breath he shouted "Nimbus!" within seconds a golden cloud came flying into view, "This is nimbus its a cloud that only the pure of heart can ride but if you can ride it it will be faster than any car with a top speed of mach one point five but I warn you it is hard to stay on at that speed."
Goku smiled brightly and hopped onto the golden cloud and landed softly on it, "Wow thanks Mr. Roshi" she said while testing out the flying cloud by flying figure eights.
"It should be a great help for you quest" Roshi added.
We should be off we need to start heading towards the next Ball before dark we can set up camp in the woods" Bulma said to Goku who was now floating by Bulma.
"Yeah, see ya around Krillen, Mr. Roshi" Goku said with a wave, "I hope we can fight again someday Krillen."
This seemed to fluster Krillen, "U, Uh yeah for sure Goku that would be great."
Bulma and Goku travelled for a short while before finding a nice place to set up camp deep in a forest that blocked their way to their next destination, Goku was surprised when Bulma pulled out a Hoipoi capsule that with a simple press made a house out of seemingly thin air. "I didnt know you knew magic Bulma!" Goku excitedly exclaimed making her friend laugh in response.
"Not magic Goku, Science." Bulma explained after getting control of herself, "My dad made these," she said while pulling out her capsule case "there called Hoi Poi Capsules and they can store pretty much anything." Bulma continued while handing Goku one of the capsules.
Goku looked at the small device in amazement, "How does it work?"
"I'm not really positive on the inner workings, but to use it you just press the button on the top and throw it a few feet in front of you."
And so Goku and Bulma continued there journey meeting many people and having amazing
adventures, from stopping and befriending the transforming pig Oolong and getting the Six Star Ball, then that night the party ran into the bandit Yamcha. After some shenanigans he also joined with his friend the transforming cat Puar. Their next adventure had them meeting a Princess named Chichi who begged them to help stop her home from burning, after meeting her very large father the Ox-King who also happened to be a student of Master Roshi and was a classmate of Goku's Grandfather. After being asked Goku left on Nimbus to fetch Master Roshi to put out the fire with his Bansho Fan, however Roshi had broken the fan a few years prior and instead agrees to come put out the fire him self. After doing so with his Kamehameha while also destroying the castle and mountain, but on the bright side the Seven Star Dragon Ball was found by Goku in the ruins of the castle. Goku and the gang soon found themselves in the castle of a crazy ruler called Emperor Pilaf where they found the One Star Dragon Ball, the group barely managed to get out with the balls with Puar and Oolong causing distraction and managing to blow up some explosives the found in the armoury. The group with Master Roshi and Krillen joining them decided to go back to Goku's house on Mt. Paozu to use said Dragon Balls.
Goku stood before the gathered Dragon Balls, "So what now Bulma?"
Bulma put her hand on her friends shoulder, "Just say rise Shenron and grant my wish."
Goku raised her hands high, "Rise Shenron and grant my wish" Goku yelled to the sky, within moments the balls began to shake and produce light, then the sky turned black before a pillar of light erupted from the Dragon Balls twisting and winding until it morphed into a massive dragon.
"Name you're wish and I shall grant it" Shenron spoke in his booming voice scaring all but Master Roshi who had seen this before.
Goku was visibly shook but she managed to say her wish before the Dragon got to annoyed, "I wish for Grandpa Gohan to be wished back to life."
"Very well" Shenron responded while his eyes flashed returning the old man to life, "Farewell young one till we meet again" with that the Dragon Balls shot into the air spreading across the world once again.
Goku did not register what the Dragon had said, she was staring at the now revived Son Gohan, "Goku... But how?" Gohan questioned ignoring the others around him.
Goku did not respond initially she just rushed forward to pull her Grandfather into a hug, and after a few long moments of realizing this was real she responded "With the help of our friends Bulma and I were able to find all the Dragon Balls and ask the Dragon to bring you back." Goku said still not breaking the hug.
"Oh my it seems like you have had a wonderful adventure you will have to tell me about it later." Gohan then reluctantly broke the hug with his Granddaughter, "Ah Master Roshi its good to see you" he greeted. "And you must be Bulma" Gohan continued while turning to the blue haired girl.
Bulma could see nothing but a caring old man before her why would anyone kill him, "Y, yes I'm Bulma Briefs."
"Of Capsule Corp? Well anyway I thank you for taking care of my Goku, I can tell by the way she talks about you that you are close." Bulma was taken aback by the statement's accuracy.
"She is like the younger sister I never had" Bulma said with a smile.
With that Goku's first adventure came to an happy end, Goku and Gohan go with Bulma to Capsule Corp so she can return to school for the second semester with Goku going to school for the first time with Bulma teaching her in her off time. Goku trained with Gohan while Bulma was at school. Yamcha went to back to Frying pan mountain to train with Ox-king and attempt to woo his daughter whom he had fallen in love with, Master Roshi and Krillen returned to Roshi's Island.
Age 750
Goku's adventure continued when Gohan informed her he had entered her in the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament where she once again squared off against Krillen narrowly managing to win, her exhaustion led to her loss in the final round against Yamcha which led the young champion to open his own Martial Arts School called the desert school of combat. (Master Roshi didn't enter in this fic as he did not have the need to teach Goku humility.)
The next step of our hero's journey was a run in with the red ribbon army who came to steal her four star ball which she found after the year break for sentimental value which lead to a war between Goku and her friends and the Red Ribbon Army in which Goku, Krillen, and Yamcha had to dismantle the army including the man Tao who managed to escape to stop them from gathering the Dragon Balls and taking over the world with the three of them climbing Korin's tower to get stronger getting the Sacred Water from the cat that lived there.
With no pressing issues Gohan challenges Goku, and Krillen to run around the world for training, where the two of them get very much closer as friends and fight many strong opponents while meeting Tienshihan and Chiaotzu for the first time.
Age 753
Goku and Krillen finish their training and agree to meet again at the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, where Tien managed to squeak out a win against Goku securing the title of champion. However the true danger was just around the corner as a creation of the Demon King Piccolo killed Krillen sending Goku into a rage. With King Piccolo regaining his youth he was more powerful than ever and in her rage Goku confronted the King leading to her defeat at the hands of said monster. A large boy named Yajirobe who Goku and Krillen had met while training saved her and carried her up Korin's tower where she once again drank the Sacred Water gaining the strength to defeat Piccolo who managed to spit out an egg before being killed.
After reviving Krillen and Goku were sent to train with the guardian of earth Kami by Korin, where they train for the next three years where the two fall for each other. Tien, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu climb Korin Tower. After training under Korin, they split up and train on their own for the remaining time before the 23rd World Tournament.
Age 756, May 6th
Goku went on to win the tournament over the offspring of King Piccolo, after receiving a Sensu Bean Goku was stunned by Krillen's proposal of marriage.
Goku stood before a kneeling Krillen, in his hands was a black velvet box which held a simple gold band with three beautiful diamonds decorating it. They had been what Bulma called dating for a while now, Goku knew she needed to respond but she felt like she couldn't even if she wanted to so ever being a woman of action she answered with hers. Goku stepped forward to kneel down and kiss the bald man she had fallen for, "That work for an answer?" Goku asked in almost a whisper the couples faces only inches away from each other.
Krillen was always had his breath taken away when she did that so it took a few moments for him to answer, "Yeah I think that said everything" Krillen said with a goofy smile making Goku laugh as he slid the ring on her finger. As they stood the couple was quickly surrounded by their friends and family.
After a few weeks of craziness Goku found herself walking down the isle in a very uncomfortable dress that Bulma and Chichi who had started dating Yamcha had helped her pick out. But all the annoyance was worth it as she couldn't be happier. Both Goku and Krillen waited impatiently for the holy man to finish his prayers and happily kissed when they were directed to.
Goku and Krillen were gifted a good sized family home in west city near Capsule Corp by Bulma's parents despite Goku's arguments, along with all the furnishing they would need.
Age 756, August
Goku and Krillen were taking a walk after dinner to get some ice cream, "Hey Goku there's the ice cream cart told you I saw one" Krillen laughed knowing his wife wasn't fond of being wrong. When Goku didnt respond and let go of his hand Krillen had thought he had offended the raven haired woman, but when he turned he saw his wife laying face down on the cement "Goku!" Krillen yelled as he rushed to her side picking her up. "Goku, Goku wake up" he said while lightly shaking her, seeing that Goku didnt stir Krillen turned to one of the people who had stopped when Goku collapsed. "Is there a Hospital around here?"
The man seemed a little disturbed but answered anyway, "Uh no the Hospital is on the other side of the city, the one near hear is being renovated... Sorry."
"Dammit" Krillen growled, 'wait, Bulma!' "Nimbus!" 'I hope this works' luckily for Krillen the golden cloud appeared within seconds. Krillen gave a hesitant sigh before jumping onto the cloud and to his surprise he landed on the soft cloud "Can you take me to Capsule Corp there is something wrong with Goku" before Krillen could think the cloud quickly flew him and Goku to the door of Bulma's lab which Krillen kicked in as lightly as he could as to not do to much damage to the lab he knew Bulma would forgive the door. "Sorry Bulma no time to explain Goku collapsed and I dont know what happened we were just out for a walk" Krillen almost yelled panic setting in as Goku had still not woken.
Bulma had been sitting at her desk when Krillen kicked the door in, but with speed that would make Goku proud Bulma had rushed over to her adoptive sister. "Bring her to the table I need to do some tests" she ordered, Krillen obeyed without a word quickly but softly placing Goku on the table. "Krillen I"m going to need you to back off I need room" Krillen was about to argue but Bulma cut him off, "Not now Krillen I need to do these tests and I cant have you in my way be mad about it later for now let me help her" Krillen could not argue with that and decided to lean against the wall to be out of the way but allowed him to keep an eye on his wife.
After a couple of minutes of waiting Bulma had the results of Goku's blood work, a quick look had Bulma nearly falling off her chair in laughter. Krillen however did not find her response funny, "What? Is she okay?"
Bulma rubbed the tears that had formed in her eyes away before responding, "She is pregnant Krillen" Krillen's eye's widened in shock, "with twins." This news had Krillen reeling "according to the blood tests she just needs to eat more which i dont understand considering how the girl eats as it is."
"We just ate before coming here" Krillen responded recovering from the shock a bit.
Bulma simply shrugged, "I'm just telling you what the results are" Bulma moved over to add a large IV bag to the already started IV.
It took a few a hours and a couple more Iv bags before Goku awoke, Krillen nearly jumped out of his chair when Goku's eyes opened "Goku!"
Her husbands loud voice had the raven haired woman quickly covering her ears, "What... there's no need to yell" Goku complained while sitting up.
"Don't blame him sleepy head, you were unconscious for three hours after all" Bulma laughed looking up from her book.
"Bulma? Wait Krillen why are we here" she asked turning to her husband, before he could answer a memory of her feeling light headed then black.
"I brought you here when you collapsed and Bulma said it was because you are..." Krillen didnt know how to tell his wife considering the only time they talked about kids Goku seemed less than responsive saying 'Things were perfect as they were for now at least.' "Well how do I put this..." Goku was beginning to get confused as to why Krillen was hesitant to tell her what was wrong, this is when Bulma decided to butt in.
Walking over Bulma put a hand on Goku's shoulder, "Goku sweetie, we have some big news for you." This concerned the younger woman 'is there something wrong with me? Am I dying?' Bulma cut her thoughts short by continuing, "You are pregnant."
Goku's face lost all colour, "You're not serious..."
"Goku its true in in fact you are pregnant with twins" Bulma said giving Goku a few moments to process the info while taking the chance to look at Krillen who seemed. "And as you're doctor I'm telling you you're training will have to all but come to a stop especially since these two" she said touching Goku's belly "seem to be taking a lot out of you, now I'm going to bed I'm sure the two of you have lots to discuss if you want to stay here tonight you know you are always welcome at Capsule Corp."
"Oh just go Aunty Bulma, you look tired" Goku said with a laugh.
"Says the one who just slept for three hours" Bulma jabbed back, "I would like to do a few more tests tomorrow so ill see you then 'Mommy'." And with that Bulma left with a large smile on her face.
Silence crept over the usually lively couple, a few moments of awkward silence passed before Krillen decided to break the silence. "I am sorry Goku" these words stunned Goku but Krillen continued before Goku could speak, "I know you thought things were perfect as they were and wanted to wait to hav..." Krillen was silenced by Goku placing a finger on his lips.
"Shh" the look of happiness on Goku's face calming Krillen's nerves slightly, "I may have said that then but that wont change the fact we are going to be parents or that I am happy about it..." Goku suddenly felt uneasy and had to ask, "You are happy too right?"
Krillen had never seen Goku like this throwing him off slightly, "Of-course I'm happy Goku I couldn't be happier I've always wanted to be a dad" he said while pulling his wife into a hug "As of today you made me the happiest man alive" Krillen finished his sentence by kissing Goku lightly on the lips.
The first few weeks of Goku's pregnancy were filled with visits from all of there friends, and Grandpa Gohan who had moved back to Mt. Paozu. When Yamcha and Chichi visited they also revealed that Chichi was also pregnant, surprising those present as last time they had seen Yamcha and Chichi she had been quite angry with him.
Age 757, May 18th
Goku was walking though the gardens with Bulma talking about Bulma's newest invention, with Goku only understanding half of what Bulma was talking about, "So anyway, it's like a suit of armour that would allow regular humans like me to fight at a level like you and Piccolo did."
Goku was about to respond when she felt a pain and a release of water from between her legs, Bulma was into her explanation and had not noticed her friend stop. "Uh Bulma I think my water just broke..." she said while looking down.
Bulma turned around to see her very pregnant friend slightly panicking her orange sundress wet down the front and a puddle of water between her legs, "Oh wow you're right" quickly turning to one of the gardeners "Go get Krillen and Gohan tell them to meet us in my lab" With that Bulma slowly led Goku to her lab.
Almost fourteen hours later an exhausted Goku gave birth to her and Krillen's first children a boy they named Son Gohan, and a daughter they named Son Appla. "They are beautiful Goku" a tired Bulma said while hugging her friend she was sitting on the bed beside Goku who was holding little Appla, "And now I finally have a niece and nephew to spoil" she laughed.
While Goku laughed Krillen paled slightly, "please dont spoil them to much" he laughed nervously thinking of bratty children with the strength Goku had as a child.
"I'm sure they will turn out fine Krillen, plus its a little early to be worrying about that enjoy this time while you have it, it will fly by believe me" Gohan said practically reading Krillen's mind.
"Yeah" the bald man thought out loud while looking down at the baby boy in his arms with a smile.

And that is the end of the first chapter of this new story, I know it skips a lot of time and potentially wanted content but I wanted to get to Z asap to get into the stuff I know well so I dont have to stare at a somewhat lacking DB timeline i found on Dragon ball Wiki. If there is any part that has enough interest ill do some one shots of the DB years. The real story and not just summaries will begin next chapter with the beginning of Z, See ya then.
