A/N: This was inspired by and is based on PersonalChange's fic "Turn About Is Fair Play," a Slappy/Amy fic that was last updated in 2018-which I'm pretty sure was deleted off the face of the internet, so I can't link to it. But if you read something in here or something familiar is talked about, it's probably from Turn About, since that is/was the main inspo for this fic.

Amy Kramer was known for many things: she was the girl that had ruined a little girl's birthday party by attacking her with a doll, she was the girl that had to be pulled out of school because everyone mocked her for her obsession with the occult and supernatural, and she was the girl that had almost put the best party hall in town out of business because of that one girl's ruined birthday party. However, she hadn't ever been known to be an idiot, even when she was small, and she had always been known as an honest—if bizarre—young lady.

Perhaps that was why she'd agreed to that damn doll's deal, why she'd pushed herself and her family so far trying to keep her promises, why she'd let herself be pulled five directions and torn apart from the inside out. At any rate, it might explain why she'd been his go-to for help—she was reliable and kept her word, despite reservations, and she had a sharp wit. Above all, she was young and dumb, her intelligence aside, and her trust was hard-won but kept easily afterward, as was her loyalty.

She was the perfect choice, already aware of the dangers of the world that weren't ever covered on the 10 o'clock news and used to the sight of a sliding jaw and rolling glass eyes. It really was no wonder he chose her to return to for help…

She just wished he hadn't.
