Prom is suppose to be a night people won't forget. It certainly is for Natsu and Lucy, but it has the opposite effect. They're going to prom with people they don't really want to go with. They were suppose to perform with the band, but it looks like they might not get that.
"So it's the big night?" Mr. Dragneel said as he entered their apartment's kitchen. "Are you excited for prom?"
"Not even a little." Natsu said. "I'm going with the worst girl in our high school. She didn't even give me a choice in the matter."
"Is it because there's some other lady you would like to go with?" Mr. Dragneel asked as he had an idea as to who that might be.
"Dad, I need girl advice." Natsu said. "What the heck am I suppose to do?"
"Apologize to Lucy." Mr. Dragneel said. "She probably thinks you were inconsiderate of what she wanted. I know you probably meant well, but it clearly backfired and it's just making you and her upset. Just say what you mean to say and maybe you two can fix things." That was first useful thing Natsu has heard in a long time.
"I'm back!" Mrs. Dragneel called as she entered their home with what Natsu needed. "It was difficult, but I did it! I managed to get you a nice suit and a corsage!"
"How did you managed to get this stuff in such a short amount of time, Mom?" Natsu asked.
"I have my ways." Mrs. Dragneel said and Natsu got a little scared. He turned to his dad and he seemed a little uneasy himself. "You better get dressed and get going. You don't want to keep your date waiting." Most people were looking forward to prom. Natsu is not.

Lucy
Lucy wasn't looking forward to prom either. Jordan walked up to her home and knocked on the door. Lucy opened it with her in her salmon pink prom dress.
"Thanks. Do you mind coming in?" Lucy asked. "My parents want to take some photos."
"Photos... Got it covered." Jordan said as he took a photo of them with just his cellphone. "So let's get out of here and hit the prom." That's a nice way to get a girl to go. Lucy just put up with it and went with him.

Natsu
Natsu wasn't looking forward to this either. Natsu went up to Talia's home and knocked on the door. She opened the door with her wearing a fuchsia dress with a fur top and was expecting something.
"Where are the cameras?" Talia asked.
"What cameras?" Natsu asked.
"I thought the big rock star would have paparazzi around taking photos of him with his beautiful prom date." Talia said.
"Don't count on it." Natsu said.
"Fine. Buzz at high school is always a good place to start." Talia said.
"Whatever. Here's your stupid corsage" Natsu said as he handed it to her.
"I don't think so. I'm not pinning a fake flower on this fabulous dress. Now let's go. I was smart enough to get a limo." Talia said. This is going to be a long night for both Natsu and Lucy.

The Prom
It was prom night. Even though Natsu and Lucy weren't going to enjoy this so much, others were. In fact, Erza and Levy were setting up the stage for when they do go on.
"Are you sure it's a good idea to set the stage?" Levy asked. "Natsu and Lucy might not be able to perform. We can't perform without them. Not to mention they seem pretty mad at each other."
"I'm not giving up on those two." Erza said. "I have a feeling those two will find a way so they can be able to perform."
"I hope you're right." Levy said. She looked around and saw there were some other people missing. "Where are Gray and Gajeel?"
"Here we are!" Gray called as he and Gajeel ran on the stage.
"Where were the two of you?" Levy asked.
"We were just putting the finishing touches on something." Gajeel said as the two of them chuckled. Both girls didn't like the sound of that. While they were setting up, Natsu was just hanging back with Talia. He was not having a good time at all.
"Look, if I have to be here, do you at least want to dance or have something to eat?" Natsu said.
"Not yet and I'm not risking my dress getting ruined." Talia said. Natsu is hoping some good will come out of all this. "Lucy! Over here!" Natsu turned to where Lucy was and he was amazed with how beautiful she looked.
"Hey." Natsu said.
"Hi." Lucy said.
"Hi, Jordan." Talia said.
"Hey." Jordan said.
"Do you like my dress? Natsu said I look like a real movie star with it." Talia said.
"No I didn't." Natsu whispered. Natsu was able to see Talia was just using him to make herself look good and try to impress Jordan. Lucy might be upset with him, but she does feel bad for him. "For what it's worth, Lucy, you do look great."
"Thanks." Lucy said. It was at least a good start to making things right with her. Meanwhile, Gray and Gajeel were keeping their eyes open.
"Okay. Go." Gray said. Gajeel chuckled as he grabbed a bucket and snuck out of the prom with whatever those two have planned. As the prom went on, Lucy just stayed by a table and was by herself. Natsu was alone as well and this was a good time to talk to her.
"Hey." Natsu said. "Where's Jordan?"
"Talking to his football team." Lucy said. "Where's Talia?"
"Who knows. Probably somewhere trying to impress Jordan." Natsu said.
"But she came with you." Lucy said.
"Apparently rock star popularity doesn't come close to quarterback popularity." Natsu said. "That girl only seems to care about doing whatever she can to improve her social status."
"What's that?" Lucy asked as she gestured to the corsage he had.
"It's a corsage for Talia, but she didn't want it." Natsu said.
"Too bad. It looks really nice." Lucy said. "Jordan didn't appear to bother giving me one. That guy is so obnoxious."
"You know, you can have it if you want." Natsu said.
"Will you put it on me?" Lucy asked. Natsu was glad to as he took it out and placed the flower on her dress.
"It actually looks really great on you." Natsu said. Both of them were having a great time and this was the perfect chance for Natsu to make things right. "Lucy, I'm sorry about the whole thing. I thought I was helping, it was a chance for you to go to prom with the most popular guy in school like most girls would want."
"Do you really think I'm like most girls?" Lucy asked.
"No." Natsu said with a smile. "That's what makes you special." Lucy was glad to hear him say that.
"I'm glad to hear you say that, but I don't understand why you thought you had to do this in the first place." Lucy said. Natsu looked around and got a good idea.
"You know, since our dates seem to have bailed on us, I think we can actually perform." Natsu said. "What do you say? The song might give you an idea as to why I did all this." Lucy was hoping they could perform in the first place. So the two of them headed for the stage. "Erza! Levy! We're here!"
"I knew you two would make it." Erza said.
"Hold on. We still need Gray and Gajeel." Levy said.
"We're here!" Gajeel called as he and Gray stepped on stage.
"We're ready." Gray said.
"Do we even want to know what you two were up to?" Erza questioned.
"No." Both of them said.
"Who cares? LEt's get this song ready." Natsu said as they all reached for their instruments. Natsu was hoping this song would answer Lucy's questions as to why he's been acting so weird. He thought he was doing something right, something nice, but he just acted crazy because she was around. When you have only a girl on your mind, you do crazy stuff and you should try to make it right.

The song came to an end and everyone cheered for the music. Fairy Tale was glad they were able to perform. With that done, they were able to finally enjoy prom.
"So am I out of the doghouse or whatever?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah. I get it. You just acted without really thinking." Lucy said. Natsu was glad to hear Lucy forgave him.
"So, to make it up to you, wanna dance?" Natsu nervously asked.
"Sure." Lucy said as she grabbed Natsu by the arm and the two held each other as they danced with each other. The others of the band were glad to see that.
"Jordan? Jordan?" Talia said as she looked around. She soon spotted Jordan, but he was talking to a few other girls and was trying to impress them. Talia couldn't believe he had the nerve to even ignore her. She tried going back to Natsu, but he was already dancing with Lucy. "I can't believe this!"
"And now to crown prom king and queen!" Talia was excited to hear it was going to be her, but she didn't. She couldn't believe this. She just stormed right out of there and went to the limo. Her night just ended up getting ruined.
"Home! Now!" Talia demanded. The limo driver started to drive, but the skylight was open and a bucket fell on her and it made a complete mess with it ruining her dress. This turned out to be one heck of a prom. Fairy Tale had one crazy time and there's more to come.
