Fairy Tale has been pretty successful lately. Their songs are great, they're music videos are well, and their performances are really great. The band has been working on their music with Zeref listening.

"It's sounding great, guys." Zeref said as he enjoyed the music. That was right when Levy came in and she seemed excited about something.

"Guys, I have great news!" Levy said. "We've been doing so well and since it's the weekend, it seems like the perfect chance to go down to the lake for some relaxing."

"That does sound great, but how are we even going to get to the beach?" Lucy said.

"That's what I'm excited about. You know how we were planning to do a tour around the country?" Levy questioned. They were starting to pick up what she was saying.

"You didn't?!" Natsu said.

"Step outside and see it for yourself." Levy said. All of them got pretty excited. All of them hurried out of the building and on to the street. When they got outside, they couldn't believe their eyes. Parked right in front of them was a tour bus with their band name right on the side.

"You got our own tour bus?!" Natsu said.

"Am I good or am I good?" Levy said.

"Heck yeah you, are!" Gajeel said as he got his arm around her. "Levy, I could kiss you for this!"

"Don't get any ideas." Levy said as she pushed him off. "We got our own tour bus and the first place we're taking this bad boy is to the lake for some rest and relaxation today." All of them seemed real thrilled about this.

The Dragneels

Natsu and Zeref headed back to their apartment and were getting some of their stuff for a day down at the beach.

"I can't believe we're going to the beach...in our own tour bus!" Natsu said.

"Yeah. It is pretty cool." Zeref said. "Although, I'm not sure how much rest and relaxation you're going to get. With that latest music video, some of your fans are going to be asking for your autograph and such."

"That won't be a problem." Natsu said. When Zeref mentioned the video, Natsu thought a lot about something that happened. "Hey, bro, can I talk to you about something?" Zeref was all ears. "You know how I was nervous about kissing Lucy in the video? Well, now I'm starting to think she actually likes me."

"Natsu, it was just a kiss for the video." Zeref said.

"No, not that." Natsu said. "Lucy kissed me before we started filming."

"Really?" Zeref said as he thought this was getting interesting. "She kissed you?"

"She claims she did that to make the kiss on the video easier, but what if that wasn't the case." Natsu said. "What if she actually likes me? I mean think about it. Out of all the ways to help me, she chose to kiss me."

"Maybe, but don't get ahead of yourself, Natsu." Zeref said. "Lucy is really the only who can answer that."

"That's what I'm going to find out and the beach might be the best place to do that." Natsu said. He really thinks that today's the day he gets his big chance with Lucy.

The Beach

Fairy Tale took their new tour bus for a ride. They headed straight for a beach by a lake. Once it pulled up, there were a few other people there and they saw it pull up. When they saw the band name on the bus, fans were loving it. As soon as the bus pulled in, Gajeel jumped right off.

"Oh yeah! This is what I'm talking about." Gajeel said as he walked ahead of the others. He spotted a few girls getting giddy with the band. "Hi, ladies."

"Oh my gosh! It's Natsu!" They were overjoyed when they saw Natsu climbed out and Gajeel got annoyed. The band got their stuff together and were ready for some fun on the beach. Natsu grabbed a chair and placed it down on the sand with him taking a seat.

"This was a great idea." Lucy said as she sat next to him.

"Tell me about it." Natsu said. He looked at Lucy and smiled and she noticed it.

"What?" Lucy asked.

"Nothing." Natsu said.

"There's clearly something. You're smiling. What are you thinking about?" Lucy asked.

"I was just thinking about what happened before." Natsu said. "Before we finished our video for I'll Be Your Hero. You know, we kissed."

"So?" Lucy said. "It didn't mean much of anything. It was just to make what we had to do on camera easier."

"But isn't it funny how out of all the ways you could have helped me, you decided to do that?" Natsu said.

"What are you getting at?" Lucy said. "It was nothing. Actors fake the love on movies and such all the time."

"I don't think they actually kiss before they go on camera." Natsu said.

"What's your point?" Lucy said. None of this is what Natsu thought would happen. He thought he could get Lucy to say something that confirms that she likes him, but this isn't going the way Natsu thought. Meanwhile, Gray and Gajeel got a small boat and paddled around the water.

"Gray, can I ask you something?" Gajeel said.

"Is it why you're not paddling and I'm doing all the work?" Gray said.

"Don't you get annoyed with Dragneel getting all the attention?" Gajeel said. "We're suppose to be a band, but everyone is all about Natsu. It's all about him just because he's the lead singer." He pulled out his phone and showed an article. "Look at this article. There's not even a mention of us in here. It's all about Natsu." Gray grabbed it and took a quick look.

"Yeah. I guess that's a little annoying." Gray said.

"Hey!" Both of them looked across the water and saw two cute girls. "You're both in Fairy Tale, right?"

"See? You're just overthinking it." Gray said.

"Does that mean you know Natsu?" One of the girls said. Now Gray was starting to see Gajeel's point. Natsu seems to get all the attention and that's not cool when they're suppose to be equals in a band. Back on shore, Natsu was still trying to see if Lucy felt anything when they did kiss.

"All I'm saying is that you kissed me. That means something." Natsu said.

"No it doesn't because we agreed it didn't mean anything." Lucy said.

"Pardon me." Erza said as she placed a towel. "You guys don't mind if I work on a tan, do you?"

"No. Actually, Erza, I'm glad you're here because we could use your opinion on something." Natsu said. "Let's say there are two friends that actually kiss. They kiss before the would have to for like maybe a play or a movie? Does it mean anything?"

"I say it doesn't because it was just a little kiss, something to make the kiss in the performance easier." Lucy said.

"Honestly, I can't tell you. That's just something between those two friends." Erza said. That wasn't any help. Back with Gray and Gajeel, neither of them really liked that Natsu appeared to be the main star and they're just background characters.

"So let's say if you're right about this. What do we do?" Gray asked.

"We need to raise our credit a little." Gajeel said.

"Yeah. I can see why you think that because all you do is play drums." Gray said and Gajeel was offended by that.

"What's that suppose to mean?" Gajeel said.

"It's just that you're always in the back and your voice isn't..." Gray was starting to see he wasn't helping himself.

"Are you saying I'm not as talented as the rest of you. That's a big mistake!" Gajeel said as he tried fighting Gray on the boat. It caused them to fall off the boat and splash around with some people noticing.

"What was that?" Natsu said.

"I think that's Gray and Gajeel! They might need help!" Lucy said. She got up and ran towards the dock with Erza and Natsu following. Gray and Gajeel were able to pull themselves together and swam for the dock.

"Nice going, metalhead." Gray said.

"Shut up and get on the dock." Gajeel said. Both of them swam to the dock and were able to make it up there. "The others are coming. Get down."

"What?" Gray questioned.

"Get down!" Gajeel said as he shoved him down. That was about when the others showed up.

"Are you guys okay?" Lucy asked.

"What happened?" Natsu asked.

"Gray fell right off and I dived in to save him." Gajeel said.

"What?!" Gray said as he got right up. "That's not what happened?! You attacked me and we fell in! You were just trying to show off for the girls."

"Oh no. He hit his head." Gajeel said.

"I'm gonna kill you!" Gray said as he tried to strangle Gajeel.

"Morons. Could you guys let me take care of this?" Erza said.

"No problem." Natsu said as he and Lucy walked out of there.

"Can you believe those two?" Lucy asked.

"They can be pretty stupid." Natsu said. "They were just trying to show off for some girls. What they didn't know was that one kiss could change everything."

"Natsu, we agreed that it didn't mean anything." Lucy said. "Did you think it meant something?" Natsu wasn't quite sure how to answer that.

"Hey!" Levy called as she and Zeref ran over to them. "Is everything okay?"

"We saw you all ran over here." Zeref said.

"Just some guys being idiots." Lucy said. She looked at Natsu when she said that as she walked past them.

"Natsu, what did you do?" Levy asked.

"Nothing!" Natsu said. Natsu appears to be in hot water with Lucy. Just like Gray and Gajeel appear to be in hot water with Erza because she did not approve of what they were doing.

"I can't believe you two would actually try something like that just to impress some girls." Erza said. "What is wrong with you? I thought you two were better than that? I'm only upset about this because I find this distasteful. If you need help with girls, why didn't you just come to me?"

"You're a girl?" Gajeel said with him and Gray laughing. Erza glared right at them and that got the two of them to shut up.

"Watch." Erza said. She spotted two girls out on the boat and made her move. "Oh, girls! How would you like to join my friends here for a nice, cool, and refreshing beverage?"

"Sure!"

"Sounds great right now!" Gray and Gajeel were a little surprised by this.

"It's that simple?" Gray questioned.

"So simple that we didn't even think of it." Gajeel said. Both the girls made their way over to them, but Natsu's girl problems weren't fixed yet. Some fans came over to Natsu and Lucy and wanted their autograph. They were happy to sign, of course.

"Let me just say that we both respect you two are a couple."

"But we're so in love with you, Natsu."

"Thanks." Natsu said.

"We're not a couple." Lucy said.

"Really?"

"I guess we just assumed that you were. We saw your latest music video and saw you two kiss."

"Sorry." Lucy said as they handed their stuff back with their autographs. One was even brave enough to kiss Natsu's cheek and both of them got so giddy when they left. Natsu smirked in Lucy's direction. "What?"

"Nothing." Natsu said.

"Shut up." Lucy said.

"I didn't say anything. If I did, I would say that those girls thought the kiss on camera was something. So what about off camera?" Natsu said.

"You are such a child." Lucy said as she just got up and left. Natsu didn't know what was really going on himself. HE thought he would get something, but nothing. Zeref came by and could see the problem.

"Not going well with Lucy?" Zeref said.

"I don't get it." Natsu said. "I thought Lucy did feel something for me. I keep trying to get her to admit it, but all she's doing is getting annoyed with me. Maybe she really didn't feel anything. Maybe she really doesn't like me that way."

"Here's a thought. Maybe she isn't quite sure herself how she feels." Zeref said. "Maybe she's confused and it certainly doesn't help that you keep hammering her for an answer. You should just give her some space and act like everything is normal. Instead of forcing something, it will happen when it happens." Natsu hadn't thought about it like that and maybe Zeref is right. "Also, I think I might have an idea." Once Zeref shared some advice, Natsu went after Lucy and found her sitting on the end of the dock. He went over and sat next to her.

"What now?" Lucy said.

"Look, I'm sorry if I've been annoying you about that whole thing." Natsu said. "I just want to really know if things are okay between us."

"Yeah. You might be annoying, but you're a good guy." Lucy said.

"Good. It's just...have you ever really thought about it?" Natsu asked. "A lot of people think it. You and me like that?"

"I don't know." Lucy said. "What about you? Natsu didn't answer. He just smirked. "Did you?" Natsu just got up and walked away. "Natsu? Did you?!" She got up and chased after him. That was Zeref's idea: fight fire with fire. In other words, keep Lucy guessing like she does with Natsu. In the end, it was a great day at the beach.

"Come on, guys! Time to head home!" Levy called with all of them boarding the bus. Gajeel and Gray got some attention of their fans and Lucy and Natsu had fun together.

"What a day." Gajeel said.

"You said it." Gray said as they all headed home. They certainly had a great time. Natsu had an even better time as Lucy fell asleep and rested her head on his shoulder. Seems there was a little love on the beach after all.
