"Yeah, Peter. Come over after school today. Mkay, bye." Tony hung up the phone. He was very jittery that day. Tony had just invited Peter over to his lab after school. Well... not really his lab. He invited the kid over for a movie. He didn't think it was such a big deal, or at least the part he told Peter. Peter seemed ecstatic at the invitation. Tony felt slightly guilty for not telling the kid the full truth. He was slightly worried about Peter's reaction, but it was the AVENGERS right? He'd adore them. Especially Brucie.

Besides, Tony had checked with May beforehand. They had agreed that Peter wouldn't have his identity exposed, but had also agreed he would probably do it anyways. Tony checked his watch. 2:15. The Avengers said they would be coming over at around 2:30. He had invited the Rogues over as well... which he was slightly more nervous about. What if they were angry at the kid for Germany once they found out his identity? Pep and Morgan said they'd be down to meet the famous Peter Parker at 2:45. Apparently he had had a business meeting that lasted until then.

Tony head down to his lab to wait for them to come. This was the first time he would be seeing Capsicle in a while. It could either go very well, or... not so well. And frankly, he didn't really want the kid to see it if everything went to chaos. As Tony entered his lab, the first thing he saw was Peter's project. The kid was making his own AI. Tony hadn't done that until he was... what 18? And this incredible genius child was doing it at 16. Tony would always stand by what he said. He wants the kid to be better than him. Tony left the AI and walked over to DUM-E. "The kid's three thousand times smarter than you, you dummy." The robot whirred in response. Tony remembered what Peter had said.

"Mr. Starkkkkk don't be mean to him! You're the one who made him, after all. NOT that youre bad thats not what I meant Mr. Stark, sir. I just meant..." The kid sat back in his chair in defeat. Tony walked over to him, chuckling, and ruffled his hair.

"Fine, I'll try to be nicer to the dummy over there if that's what you want."

Well... that wasn't going very well.

Tony checked his watch again. 2:30. OH RIGHT that's when they were supposed to come. Tony ran upstairs, and took the elevator up to the 32nd floor, where he had told them to meet. Tony rushed out of the elevator doors into the lounge room, where all of the Avengers were waiting.

"As professional as always, Tony," Cap said jokingly. Tony gave an awkward half smile.

"Nice to see you to Capsicle." It was awkward for about a second, until Rhodey noticed the tension.

"Tones, didn't you have something you wanted to talk to us about?" Rhodey prompted. Tony remembered why he had had the brilliant idea of having all the Avengers over.

"Oh, yeah. Right."
