Sorry I have been away everyone, I have been dealing with a lot with my mental health, getting things together and dealing with my dad, SO, I figured I would create a one shot for you as an apology. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!
Sorry it was uploaded late and if it isn't perfect but I really tried for you all.
I woke to the early morning sun, it was Christmas Eve, the guild was having a big party later so all the families could be together for Christmas tomorrow. I still hadn't wrapped my present for Laxus yet, after a year of being together he still finds ways to amaze and surprise me. I reached for Horologiums' key, eight o' clock, I had breakfast with Laxus in an hour, then to help Mira for the party. Standing up from my bed I stretched myself out and headed for my bathroom to take my shower. I thought about this past year and the difference in my magic is amazing. I started training with the Thunder Legion three months into Laxus and I dating because I wanted to go solo. I love my team but they are just too destructive, it wasn't easy at first, they didn't go lightly because I was dating Laxus and I appreciated it. About two months ago my skills in using two star dresses and switching between them had grown exponentially. Stepping from the shower I dried off, my bathroom smelling of sandalwood and lavender. I turned to look at my reflection, my body more toned than it was a year ago, I meditated and practiced yoga with Capricorn, Aerobatics with Bixy, melee fighting with Laxus and swordsmanship with Freed, Ever was my brake from the training we had grown so close having a love for a lot of the same things. I left the bathroom and grabbed the new outfit I picked out for today. I grabbed the lacy black bra and boy shorts putting them on then the white off the shoulder sweater and black jeans and white converse. Putting my keys on my belt I walked out of the apartment locking the door behind me.
Time skip: 20 mins
I made it to Laxus' house with Plue in my arms. I got close enough so Plue could ring the doorbell, he knows Laxus can smell us but he loves ringing it because he loves to be polite. Soon enough the door was open and there was Laxus in a black turtleneck sweater and black jeans leaning down to give me a kiss.
"How was your walk here?" I smiled at him as he took Plue from my arms to sit him on his shoulder.
"Good, nice and peaceful, no weirdness, I didn't even see anyone from the Guild." Stepping through the door I walked into the kitchen to see Master making what looked to be mimosas. He looked up and grinned.
"Lucy my girl! Good morning and merry Christmas eve! I'm glad you could join us." I smiled back at Master, he has been very supportive in my wish to become a solo mage.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world Master." Laxus walked up behind me putting his hand on my hip. We all made our plates and sat down at the island to eat, Laxus and Master Makarov on both ends of it with me in the center. We conversed about how my training was going, how my missions had been going with my team, I wasn't ready for solo mage life yet, how my spirits were doing. As soon as we finished, Master stood up and grabbed his coat.
"Laxus, Lucy, I will see you both tonight, I need to go finish some paperwork from Team Natsus' last mission." At that comment I blushed and looked down, I heard both men chuckle. Soon after I heard the door closed and I was soon swept up into large arms and warm lips soon were pressed to my lips, I could still taste the last mimosa Laxus had. He pulled back and looked at me, his steel blue eyes peering deeply into my own chocolatey brown. My breathing hitched a bit, my soul soothed and I felt at peace. I reached up and brought Laxus' lips down to my own into the softest kiss, and he pulled back and looked at me again, that same warm look in his eyes.
"I love you Lucy." I smiled at him, the first I love you. Laxus and I haven't said that yet, I knew it was there, but now finally hearing it I wish it had been said earlier.
"I love you too Laxus." I felt a pat against my hip and looked down to see Plue holding his arms up, he wanted to join Laxus and I in our hug.
"Pun pun." Laxus chuckled, he just like Natsu could understand what Plue was saying. They had a very short conversation that I had no idea what it was about, seems like Plue was updating Laxus on some stuff. I looked at the clock and saw that it was ten thirty.
"I gotta head out Lax, I gotta go help Mira. The party starts at five and if I want to be out by three to have time to get ready I should go now." He set me back down on my feet and walked me to the door.
"I'll pick you up at four thirty, I have a gift to give you that will come in handy for you. Be safe." He kissed me on the lips and walked me out the door.
Time Skip: 4 hours later (Guild)
"Lucy, can you please go hang these along the banister on the second floor, and deliver these drinks to the Thunder Legion?" I smiled and took the rope of garland from Mira on one arm and the tray of drinks in the opposite hand and went up the stairs. The Thunder Legion became a really good group for me to be around. Bix and I could talk about our magic because it was very similar, Freed was books and history and Ever was all fashion and outer guild gossip.
"Here, you are guys, enjoy your drinks. I need to go hang this up for Mira." I started from right behind them and moved my way down, the process took twenty minutes. I looked up at the guild, it was pretty empty aside from Cana, the Strauss siblings, Gajeel and Levy and Wendy, Romeo and Carla. The guild hall was ready for tonight. I reached down to Horologiums' key, quarter to three, done in time. I waved goodbye to everyone and walked out the guild doors and headed home. Once home I called Virgo and Loki out.
"Punishment Hime?"
"Yes my love?" I blushed and then rolled my eyes, two of my most loyal spirits, but man were they quirky.
"Guys, can you please give these to the other spirits, and tomorrow I'll call each of you out tomorrow." I handed them a large velvet bag and they both smiled back.
"Absolutely Princess, have a wonderful holiday and if you need help changing, just call for me." Loki bowed and left, Virgo right after bag in hand. I went into my room and searched through all of my holiday colored clothing. After about forty five minutes I settled on a dark green sweater, it hugged my figure and the sleeves were long with thumb holes. I paired it with a thin black belt under my bust, black leggings and ankle high black heeled boots. I called Cancer out to style my hair how he wanted, after twenty five minutes he had my hair styled in waterfall curls.
"I love it Cancer, thank you so much!" I smiled up at him and gave him a hug.
"No problem, Ebi." Cancer disappeared and I went into the bathroom to do a simple cat eye with a thin layer of white eyeshadow. A knock sounded from my door, I opened the door to see Laxus. I stood up to my tip toes and gave him a kiss on the cheek and in response he handed me a gold wrapped box with black ribbon. Moving to the couch, Laxus pulled me into his lap.
"Now, I know you have a good one but this one, this is special, I had it custom made for you." I unwrapped the box and lifted the lid, inside the box was a fur coat. Pulling the coat out it looked like his in style but it was black and throughout it had the constellations in specks of gold and silver thread
"Laxus, it's beautiful, thank you so much I'm so sorry your gifts are at the guild." He smiled and kissed my forehead.
"That's why I wanted this to be a surprise, I want everyone to be jealous of how beautiful you look in a one of a kind coat." I rolled my eyes and kissed him deeply, my arms around his neck, one of his hands on my lower back, the other caressing my leg.
"We should get going Laxus, we'll be late." He helped me get my new coat on, locked my apartment door and was on our way.
Time Skip: 3 hours
The guild was full swing, everyone was having fun and had exchanged gifts with each other, Gray and Natsu had another guild brawl going. I was sitting with the girls, all discussing the latest in everyone's lives. Erza and Jellal were expecting their first child, Levy and Gajeel were going to Sabertooth tomorrow to go visit Rogue and Yukino. Evergreen, Lisanna and Mira planned a family girls trip , Gray and Juvia were leaving tomorrow for a family vacation with their son, Jay. Cana was going on a mission with Laki and Wendy. Out of the corner of my eye I just see a flash and then a hand catching a mug that apparently had been sailing through the air towards me. I looked up to see Laxus had been the one to catch the mug, he looked pissed. Erza attempted to stand up and take care of it but Mira had her sit back down at 5 months pregnant and should not be putting stress on herself or the baby.
"Who threw the mug? I will only ask this nicely once for Christmas, if I don't get an answer in 10 seconds, I'll start beating you all." Natsu looked like he was trying to slink away, he didn't do a good job of it and Laxus saw him.
"NATSU!" Natsu immediately lifted his head and tried to run, Laxus turned himself into lightning and cut Natsu off to punch him into a wall.
"Well ladies, at that cue, I'm gonna go home. Merry Christmas guys." I got up from the table and grabbed my coat, Laxus said goodbye to his grandfather and his team, grabbed his hand and scooped me up into his arms. He lightning teleported us into this open field with a clear view of the stars above us and Mount Hakobe in the distance. Turning around to face the man I loved, I saw a new look on his face, he looked at peace but still somewhat nervous.
"Lucy Heartfelia, you are the most amazing woman I have ever met. I have never met a more intelligent, alluring, feisty woman. You are a saint. Over this past year, I have fallen more in love with you every day and I want it to continue." He got down to one knee, pulling out a soft silver box, pulling out a simple white gold band with a yellow diamond.
"Will you marry me, and become my mate?" My eyes started to water.
"I could ask for nothing more perfect Laxus." Sliding the ring onto my finger swept me up into a soft kiss, the stars and moon above us shining just a little bit brighter in approval.
