A little note: this is based on a trailer for Monsters, Inc. That is all.
Saturday night had come upon the world once more. For the Dreemurr brothers, this could only mean one thing: a stimulating game of Charades!
Samuel set a bowl of folded papers on the coffee table and pulled out a slip. After taking a moment to think, he turned to Asriel, who was eagerly waiting to get started.
The human began by clapping his hands together and flipping them open and shut. Asriel figured out what this meant almost immediately: "It's a book!" he shouted. Samuel gave a thumbs-up, and he continued by placing a cupped hand next to his eye and turning his other hand like a crank.
"Er, pencil sharpener!" Asriel hastily replied, and Sam shook his head. He performed these motions again, with the addition of slowly turning his head to the side.
This made Asriel perk up in realization. "It's a movie!" he exclaimed. Samuel nodded in affirmation and held out two fingers.
"Two words."
And then he took one of the fingers away.
"First word…"
Samuel quickly pointed to the top of his head. Asriel scrunched his face as he thought.
"Uh… head," Asriel guessed. Wow, he was really on a roll tonight, eh?
Sam rolled his eyes and started picking at strands of his hair.
"...Hairy?" was Asriel's next guess. Samuel jumped up and pointed at his brother, indicating that he had gotten it right.
Asriel continued, "Hairy! Hairy… When Harry Met Sally!"
Samuel shook his head and picked up an empty flower pot. Then, he mimed the motions of digging dirt and pouring it into the pot.
"Uh, you're digging, dirt? Dirt… hairy, dirt… Dirty Harry!"
Samuel shook his head.
"No, that's not… uh…"
Thinking quickly, Samuel swiped a plastic flower from the vase on the coffee table and placed it in the pot.
This did not make things clear at all to Asriel. If anything, it just got worse. "Hairy flowerpot!" he blurted out, pulling at thin air in an attempt to guess the correct answer. "You're, uh, Harry Farmer! Er, Harry Gardner!"
At this point, Samuel was terribly close to giving up. The only way Asriel could get this right was if he made his next clue as obvious as possible, which is exactly what he did. First, he put on a pair of glasses with a piece of cardboard shaped like a lightning bolt attached to it. Then, he grabbed a broomstick and tucked it between his legs. Finally, as a small addition that would make his look complete, he grabbed a plush owl and held it out.
Asriel's face lit up with sheer delight as she screamed, "I got it! The Sound of Music!"
Yep, that did it. He was done. Samuel stormed out of the living room, throwing his props aside.
"I— hey, where are you going?" Asriel cried out as Samuel walked past. "Come on! I almost had it!" He looked down at the broom and glasses one more time. And suddenly, it all came to him:
"Wait, I got it! Harry Pott—"
Hello, everyone! spucubed here! I threw this little short together as a little taste of what I have in store for all of you. I have an Undertale story in the works, and the first set of chapters should be ready by the end of January. Stay tuned!
It was Samuel's turn to guess now. As Asriel looked over his slip of paper, the human slouched on the sofa, still out of it from last turn.
Asriel started with a cupped hand and a crank:
"Movie…" Samuel said, sounding incredibly disinterested.
Then, Asriel held out two fingers:
"Two words…"
Thirdly, Asriel took a deep breath and made the most bizarre pose imaginable. Somehow, Samuel was able to guess:
"Star Wars."
Asriel looked at his brother in disbelief, "How do you do that?"
