AN: This one holds a connection to another story I did.

Natsu is still having trouble over the fact that Lucy left the band. All he did was just sit in the studio and play the strings of his guitar. The others saw him like that and were still worried. It's not usually like Natsu to be depressed.

"Hey, Natsu." Erza said.

"How are you feeling today?" Levy asked.

"Okay, I guess." Natsu said, but it sure didn't sound like it. The usual joy in his voice isn't there. "Levy? Any word from Lucy yet?"

"No. I'm afraid not." Levy said. Lucy's already been gone for over a week and it hasn't been easy on Natsu. It seems like he's getting better little by little, but they need Natsu back.

"I can't believe you're really letting some girl get to you like this." Gray said. "Look, we're upset she's gone. Maybe it's time we face the facts that she's gone and not coming back."

"Gray, be a little more sensitive and considerate to how Natsu is feeling." Erza said. "Look, we're here for you, Natsu. We'll help you anyway you can."

"Yeah. The guys might be inconsiderate, but Erza and I will help you." Levy said.

"Thanks. I just miss her." Natsu said. "Lucy was always considerate and nice."

"Oh boy. He's talking about her good qualities in a sad-tone." Gray said.

"You know, I think I know what to really do to help you." Gajeel said as he grabbed Natsu and pulled him over with him wrapping his arms around him and Gray. "You need to spend some time away from the girls and get your mind off them and spend some time with the boys!"

"Yeah!" Gray and Gajeel said. They think having a day of the boys might snap Natsu out of the state he's in. Both of them grabbed Natsu and got out of there.

"Well, this is probably going to go badly." Erza said with Levy agreeing to that.

...

The Boys

"The only way you're going to get over this whole thing with Lucy is if you stop thinking about her." Gray said as the two of them pulled Natsu out of the building and took him to the open road.

"Gray is right." Gajeel said. "You need to do things that won't have you think about Lucy. You need to do things we men would do."

"Like what?" Natsu asked. That had the two of them stumped for a moment.

"I got it!" Gray said. "Let's just head to the park. A good run helps clear my head and the fresh air and the peace and quiet help as well. We can grab a few dogs there too."

"Great idea. It's a good place to start at least." Gajeel said.

"I don't know." Natsu said.

"You need to snap back into the real world. To the park!" Gajeel said as they grabbed Natsu and took him with them to the park.

...

The Park

"You'll see, Natsu." Gray said as he and Gajeel were able to bring Natsu to the park. "You won't be thinking about Lucy or any girl around."

"Whoa! Wait a minute!" Gajeel said as he pointed to the field and saw a bunch of girls with telescopes. They got their attention as they recognized them from the band.

"What's with the girls that's going to make Natsu think of Lucy?" Gray said.

"We're our school's astrology club."

"Even though we're on summer break, we still get together."

"We're setting up for tonight since the park is a great place to view the stars."

"Lucy was into astrology...and the park." Natsu said.

"He's thinking about Lucy. Get him out of here!" Gajeel said as he and Gray grabbed him and ran out of there. They need to be away from the girls in order to help Natsu. So once they got out of the park, they were trying to find out what they should do next.

"Okay. That didn't help as well as I thought." Gray said. "Gajeel, you try. Can you think of anything that guys would do to get your mind off your problems?" Gajeel tried thinking and what he thought off put a grin on his face.

"Smash stuff." Gajeel said. That sounds like it could be promising.

...

The Hammer

Gajeel took them to a place called The Hammer. It was a garage-like place where they saw people smashing just about anything on tables with sledgehammers.

"What is this place?" Gray asked.

"Isn't it great? You come here and smash whatever the heck you want. It's a great way to get all your anger and frustration out when you don't know what else to do with it." Gajeel said.

"How often do you come here?" Gray asked.

"Not very." Gajeel said.

"Hey, Gajeel."

"Hey, Bill." Gajeel said and that guy looked like he worked there.

"How does it work?" Gray asked. Gajeel showed them the way to a bunch of stuff.

"First, you need protective gear." Gajeel said as he handed them stuff. "Gloves, masks to shield our faces, and anything you think you need to keep yourself from getting hurt by flying objects or anything that might be harmful. Then, you take whatever you can get your hands on, take it to an open cage with a table, and start smashing everything."

"Seriously?" Gray said.

"Just try it." Gajeel said. The boys grabbed whatever the heck they could and found an open space.

"Gajeel, are you sure about this?" Gray asked.

"Watch." Gajeel said as he took an old fan and placed it on the table. "I hate that I have no idea what to do to tell the girl I like her!" He took his hammer and started smashing it against the fan with it breaking to pieces. Gray looked at him with a smirk. "You don't need to say what you're frustrated about out loud, but you get the point. Never ask me about the girl or I'm going to use this hammer on you." Gray just let it go and decided to try it out as he took and old clock and readied himself.

"I hate how my mom constantly embarrasses me by treating me like I'm still a kid!" Gray said and started smashing the clock to pieces. He was starting to see the point as he pictured all of that on the clock and it felt good as it got smashed. "Wow! That does feel good!"

"See? Check on Dragneel." Gajeel said. Gray looked over to Natsu, but he was barely trying as he just tapped against a car door.

"Natsu! You're not even trying. Just think about all this stuff with Lucy and just picture it on the door." Gray said.

"I know how it works, I can't do it when I'm picturing Lucy's face. I can't smash Lucy's face." Natsu said.

"Okay. Don't think about Lucy." Gray said. "Picture that snobby Miguel instead, the one that caused all this. If Lucy hadn't met him, none of this would even happen." Natsu took his advice and pictured Miguel instead of Lucy. As soon as that happened, Natsu went crazy on the car door and everything else he had.

"Yeah! Atta boy!" Gajeel said. Natsu smashed just about everything he had and when he couldn't smash anything anymore, he had to stop and take deep breaths.

"Okay. I do feel a little better." Natsu said.

"Yeah. We're making progress." Gray said.

"Hold on. You might have dealt with that creep, but there's still Lucy. You need to do something about how you feel to her." Gajeel said.

"Guys, I appreciate what you're trying to do, but I just don't see how I can feel any better." Natsu said as he put the stuff away and just got out of there. They tried to help, but it just didn't turn out the way they thought.

...

Natsu

Natsu just sat around on a bench and kept thinking about Lucy. He misses her a lot and just wish she could come back. He reached for his phone and tried playing some music, music that wasn't his because it would just make him think of Lucy more.

"Let's see... Aw! Davis Motomiya." Natsu said. Davis Motomiya was a pretty well known singer himself. He once went under the name Jason Burner because of his mentor, Miley Stewart, but his real identity was soon known. As Natsu was listening to it, unbelievable luck would have it that the real Davis was walking by right behind him and saw the song Natsu was listening too.

"That's a good song." Davis said. Natsu turned around and was shocked to see him.

"Oh man! You're Davis Motomiya, former alias Jason Burner." Natsu said.

"Yeah. Wait. Aren't you the lead singer in that upcoming band Fairy Tale?" Davis said. "I've heard some of your songs. Pretty good." Natsu couldn't believe he is praising his music. "So is something wrong? You look like there's something bothering you."

"Sort of." Natsu said as they both had a seat. "Girl problems."

"Aw! Those are the worst." Davis said. "So what's the problem?"

"Well, I started dating our keyboard player, Lucy, but she broke up with me and quit the band." Natsu said. "I want her to come back, but we haven't heard from her. My friends tried getting me to stop thinking about it, but it's not that easy."

"I get it." Davis said. "I've had a few girl problems myself where it was unbearable. I was into this one girl named Kari, but she dated another guy for a while. Then, I started dating this girl named Ashely. That did not go so well. However, I never gave up. A long time later, Kari and I are together even now."

"Your point?" Natsu said.

"How well do you know Lucy?" Davis asked.

"Very. We've known each other for years." Natsu said.

"Did she love being in the band?" Davis asked.

"It was her favorite thing in the world." Natsu said.

"So maybe she will come back. You just got to hope for the best." Davis said.

"But how do I stop feeling miserable about all of it?" Natsu said. "I can't even crack a smile or laugh."

"Not even with me? Everyone loves being near me." Davis said. "I swear I need a stick to keep them all away." Natsu couldn't hold back a chuckle because he could relate. "There you go! There. You just made a small breakthrough and didn't even think about your problems, even for just a few seconds."

"Yeah..." Natsu said as that gave him an idea. "You know, my latest song helped me a little. Can I ask for a favor?"

...

Fairy Tale

Fairy Tale was holding another performance. They weren't sure what came over Natsu, but they were just glad he was being happy again.

"What's this all about?" Gray said as he stood in front of some sort of doorway on the stage.

"You sure about this, Natsu?" Erza asked.

"Yeah." Natsu said. "With how I'm feeling, this song will be great and I've got a big surprise." None of them knew what this surprise was, but went with it as they took their positions. The lights went down and the show was about to begin. This new song is about making a real personal breakthrough in your goal and life.

(Natsu)

Up

Down

Spinning all around

Doesn't matter how you approach the stage

Left

Right

Step into the light

It's your time to shine

(Gray)

Sometimes you need to make a choice

Sometimes you need to raise your voice

Sometimes you need to prove the world it's wrong

(Erza)

Whenever you can't see the light

Whenever there's no man in sight

Keep on, keep on moving on

Keep on moving on

(All)

Here comes a breakthrough

Here comes your day

Here comes the moment you got going

So don't be late

Here comes a breakthrough

Here comes your day

Cause the whole world is your stage

This is our age

(Natsu)

Stop, wait a minute

Take a breath

There's no need to fake it to make it

Hit a road block

Move to the left

Hit another road block

Move to the right

Just don't ever give up the fight

(Gray)

Sometimes you need to make a choice

Sometimes you need to raise your voice

Sometimes you need to prove the world its wrong

(Erza)

Whenever you can't see the light

Whenever there's no man in sight

Keep on, keep on moving on

Keep on moving on

(All)

Here comes a breakthrough

Here comes your day

Here comes the moment you got going

So don't be late

Here comes a breakthrough

Here comes your day

Cause the whole world is your stage

This is our age

"Ladies and gentlemen, Davis Motomiya!" Natsu called. Smoke went off as Davis made his way through the doorway. Everyone, even the band, was surprised to see him here.

(Davis)

You gotta step in the light

This is your chance to shine

Even if it looks grim

You gotta say "this chance is mine"

Step out of the shadows

Don't be left in the dark

You've got a voice that should be heard

This chance is yours

And once you make it, it's a whole new world

Sometimes you need to make a choice

Sometimes you need to raise your voice

Sometimes you need to prove the world its wrong

Whenever you can't see the light

Whenever there's no man in sight

Keep on, keep on moving on

Keep on moving on

(All)

Here comes a breakthrough

Here comes your day

Here comes the moment you got going

So don't be late

Here comes a breakthrough

Here comes your day

Here comes your day

Cause the whole world is your stage

This is our age

Breakthrough

The crowd went wild from that performance. The rest of the band was starting to go crazy themselves as they couldn't believe they just performed with a famous singer.

"Davis, thanks a lot for helping out with this." Natsu said.

"No problem." Davis said. "I know things are going to work between you and Lucy. You just got to keep holding on for THAT breakthrough." This actually did help Natsu a lot. He's feeling better about himself, about Lucy, now he's hoping for when she comes back.
