"If your done, take your seats and quiet down." I turned to look at a black haired man in a yellow sleeping bag. We took our seats, I sat next to the boy that had saved me in the arena, Koda. He kindly waved to me, I just nodded as I turned to the front of the class. "Welcome to UA." He took a sip from a juice bag. "You may call me Mr. Aizawa, I am your home room teacher."
'He looks like he hasn't slept in weeks.' I thought. 'Why would they put someone like him in charge of us?'
"I'll be keeping this short and simple, my job is to train you to be pro heroes, so if you think that this will be easy, you are wrong. Now put these on and meet me out side in the training field" He tossed out a pile of blue gym uniforms before stepping out of the sleeping bag.
"Sir what about orientation?" A girl with a round face and brown hair asked.
"If you are more worried about pointless ceremonies and pleasantries then get out of my class, I don't intend on wasting time." He glared at us before exiting the class.
Chapter 4: Quirk Assessment
I walked into the changing room with the rest of the girls and stripped down, revealing I had my skin tight body suit on underneath, I just pulled on the blue gym pants and shoes and went to walk out. "Fuma, you aren't going to put on the top?" A black haired girl asked, her hair done up in a pony tail that flared much like a Siayans.
I shrugged and tied the arms round my waist. "This work?" I asked.
"I guess. I'm Momo Yaoyoraozu." She offered her hand to me. I shook it tentatively.
"I'm Toru Hagakure." The invisible girl changed into the gym clothes.
"Kero Kero, call me Tsu." The frog like girl said.
"I'm Kyoka Jiro." A purple haired girl said, her earphone jack earlobes moved around as she looked at us, "Guess we are doing a get to know you."
The round faced brunette went next. "I'm Ochakko Uraraka. My quirk is Zero Gravity, I can make anything I touch float away."
A bizzarely looking girl with pink hair and skin, black and gold eyes, horns went next. "I'm Mina Ashido. Oh I love your tail! It's so cute!"
"My tail is not cute! It's a symbol of my peoples pride." I huffed as I turned to walk out.
"Hey, why are you so mean!?" Uraraka asked as she grabbed at me, missing my shoulder and onto my tail.
"AHHH!" I fell to my knees in pain, "LET GO!" The grip lessened on my tail and I pulled it away from her massaging the part she had grabbed. 'Damn it, now they know my weakness.'
"Oh my god, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that!" He reached out again but I swatted away her hand.
"Don't touch me." I stood up and walked out, humiliated.
When we stood outside I put some distance away from the rest of the class. "Okay, we are doing Quirk apprehension tests. This is to find your physical limits when using your quirks." Aizawa said. "Fuma, you got the top score in the entrance exam, what was your best soft ball throw?" Aizawa asked me.
"I don't know." I said to the teacher who only sighed.
"Very well take this ball had put everything you have behind it." He handed me a orange ball. I stepped up to the plate.
I pulled my arm back, my ki burst from my body as my hand glowed with a orange ki. "HARBINGER! LANCE SHOT!" My aura exploded doubling in strength, flaring a flaming orange ki as threw the ball, shock waves kicking up dust. The aura flashed away as I massaged my muscles. 'Damn it, only three seconds. I can only manage three seconds.'
I looked at the teacher. "Well..." He help up his phone "One kilometre, and forty eight meters."
"Holy shit, that was awesome, her quirk is crazy powerful!" A boy with red hair smiled.
"Yeah, that looks like fun!" Mina said.
"What was that, Harbinger? Is it like some sort of super state?" Izuku had his notebook out.
"I can, for short bursts, double my strength at the expense of my body, any longer then five seconds and I will tear apart my own body." I explained as I walked over to the green haired human, but I felt a chill on my back.
"You think this is fun?" Aizawa asked the other students. "That you just get to goof off with your quirks? Well I left out that the person who comes in last place in the test scores will be expelled."
"That isn't fair we only just got here, you have no idea what we can do!" Uraraka protested.
"Why is it not fair? They are looking for the strong and can't afford to waist time for those without potential." I said. "It's either get strong or die as I see it."
"Fuma, that was unnecessary." Iida and many others were shocked.
"What's the matter? Scared?" I just raised my arms in a shrug. "What do you think the point of this is? This is where you show what you got, if you want to prove yourself then do it here and now and not complain about it."
"She has a point. She is giving it her all from the start, you may not like it. So GO Beyond, Plus Ultra." Aizawa explained.
The first test was a fifty meter dash, I was paired with Iida. I saw strange metal ports poking out of his legs. "Go." Aizawa called. Iida burst off, flames ejecting from his legs, taking a early lead... for five steps, I flew past him in a dust cloud that filled the yard. "Fuma, zero point seven seconds, Iida three point four seven seconds."
I watched as the rest of the students went, until Uraraka walked up to me. "Um, about... in the changing room, I'm really sorry. You don't have to take it out on the rest of the class."
I stayed quiet. Giving her a sidelong glare as she backed up. "Next time it happens I won't be nearly as merciful, no one touches my tail. Am I clear?"
"Message got." She was called for the sprints.
"Fuma, you can't be so angry all the time." I looked over to Izuku who had spoken to me. "Your going have to loosen up."
"I'm not angry. You'll know when I'm angry. And I don't 'loosen up' as you put it." I heard a boy chuckle behind me, his blonde hair had a black lightning bolt in it. "Is something funny?"
"No! No, not at all." He backed up.
"Good."
The rest of the tests went by quickly, I broke the grip strength, got the highest in push ups, a few of the more skill based tests I was third and fourth. Soon we came to the ball throw for the rest of the students. Bakugo stepped up to the plate.
"DIE!" He howled as he over exerted his arm and quirk.
"Is this kid really trying to be a hero? Fuma is cold, where he is just mean." Mina said.
Aizawa showed him the phone. "Seven hundred and six point four meters."
"Damn it." He growled.
Next was Uraraka, making things float was her quirk. 'She'll pass me on this.' I growled as she threw the ball with minimal effort and it just kept on going, further and further. Soon Aizawa showed us the phone.
"Infinity!" A few of the other students were shocked.
'Tsk, the strengths of these quirks weren't apparent to me, she almost certainly has a power level on the lower end, but she can lift things with her quirk that I can't.' I ground my teeth for the fact that these powers could outdo me.
"Izuku Midoriya, your next." Aizawa said handing him the ball.
The green haired boy stepped up to the plate and grimaced, he hadn't used his quirk at all, since it destroys his body when he uses it and he was in last place. He raised his arm and readied a throw, and he activated his quirk, red veins ran through his arm winds bursting from him. And he threw it, but there wasn't anything. "What the? My power, what happened?"
"I erased your quirk." I looked to Aizawa, his eyes glowed red, his scarf and hair flowed up in the air around his head, orange goggles hung around his neck.
"You erased my quirk? Wait those goggles, your Erasure Head, the Erasure Hero. With just a look you can cancel anyones quirks!" He geeked out.
"Your strong but your a glass canon, one shot and your out of the fight. You would only be a hindrance on the battlefield." Aizawa released his quirk on him, Izuku visibly flinched at his words, and... I felt sympathy for him, all my life I had wanted to join the warriors on missions, but I was considered too weak to be of any use for so long. "Your recklessness would only get someone killed." He handed the boy another ball. "Now be done with it, you don't have what it takes to be a hero."
Izuku looked at the orange ball in his hand then at me and his eyes lit up like he had an idea, he muttered quietly to himself something that the others couldn't hear, but I could. "Focus all my power into a single point, like Fuma's lance shot. Only using my quirk at the last possible second." He stepped up to the plate and went to throw the ball, and I saw only the tip of his finger glow red, at the very last second like he had said. With a sound akin to a canon the ball rocketed into the sky arcing high above us. "Mr. Aizawa... I can still use my arm." His finger was broken, and ugly purple, but if that was what he could mange with a single finger...
"Seven Hundred and fifty four meters." I spotted a spark in Aizawa's eyes.
'I wonder what else he can do once he is trained?' I tapped at my chin, this human boy... he had peeked my interest. 'Perhaps I had been to quick to dismiss him when we first met.'
"DAMN IT DEKU! HOW LONG WERE YOU HIDING THIS BEHIND MY BACK!" Bakugo charged Izuku, I looked at the enraged teen as explosions burst in his hands before he was caught in grey fabric and the explosions stopped.
"Bakugo, you don't want to make me use my quirk a lot, I get irritated by it." Aizawa looked at the boy before releasing him.
As the tests continued I paid more attention to the green haired boy, he was at a peak physical performance, just that he couldn't compete without using his quirk. 'I wonder what it would be like to fight him once he as full control of it? A fair fight... I like the sound of that.' I thought to myself.
Soon the day of testing was done and people were exhausted. "Okay I have the results of the tests here." Aizawa turned the screen to us. I was in the number one spot with Bakugo and... Todoroki after him, 'Todoroki? Oh the boy with half white and half red hair and the nasty burn scar.' I didn't know his power level but he was strong.
And at the bottom of the list was... "I failed..." I frowned and felt... cheated out of what could be a good fight in the future.
"All of you get cleaned up, Midoriya go to the nurses office and get that finger fixed up, you should go to the nurses office as well Fuma, make sure you didn't do any lasting damage, I'll be seeing all of you tomorrow. You did good, all of you." Aizawa said to the lot of us.
"Wait... I'm not expelled?" Izuku asked.
"No, that was a logical deception to get you all to do your best." Aizawa walked away.
"Wait, you didn't realize?" Momo asked. "Maybe I should have said something?"
I walked with Izuku in silence. "I can help you train your body you know." I said breaking the tension. "It would help you control your quirk and the full extent of your."
"Why would you want to help me?" He asked.
"Your strong, and as a Saiyan, I want to face strong enemies, to grow stronger my self, and prove that I am worthy of being a Saiyan. I wasn't born strong... I was considered powerless and nothing more then a meat girl for the returning warriors, keeping the real fighters full and satisfied before their next mission." I explained, swallowing my pride.
"Oh... I was quirkless for so long... I thought that I could never be a hero." He said. "Huh... maybe we aren't so different."
"You are a muttering nerd, and I am a space warrior, we are not alike." I glared at him, I hadn't fully swallowed my pride.
"Okay, okay. We have things in common and that is it."
