I walked with Izuku in silence. "I can help you train your body you know." I said breaking the tension. "It would help you control your quirk and the full extent of your power."

"Why would you want to help me?" He asked.

"Your strong, and as a Saiyan, I want to face strong enemies, to grow stronger my self, and prove that I am worthy of being a Saiyan. I wasn't born strong... I was considered powerless and nothing more then a meat girl for the returning warriors, keeping the real fighters full and satisfied before their next mission." I explained, swallowing my pride.

"Oh... I was quirkless for so long... I thought that I could never be a hero." He said. "Huh... maybe we aren't so different."

"You are a muttering nerd, and I am a space warrior, we are not alike." I glared at him, I hadn't fully swallowed my pride.

"Okay, okay. We have things in common and that is it."

Chapter 5: Saiyan past

I walked with Izuku back to the class, the sun was getting low outside, we had changed back into the normal uniform. We had been healed up by Recovery girl, I had gotten a weak Zenkai boast from the healing. As we opened the door more then a few of our classmates were still there. "Fuma! You still look like a slob!" Iida pointed with his full hand, movements stiff.

I rolled my eyes, "Wat are you going to do about it?" I asked.

"You represent UA when yo wear that uniform, do you have no pride for getting into this school?" He asked. "Were you raised in a barn?"

I sighed, "Yes, yes I was. And it was less annoying then listening to you." I rolled my shoulders as I leaned back in a chair.

"Kero, Fuma, why are you here? You don't really seem like a hero." Tsu asked.

"I just want to get stronger, and I enjoy fighting, so becoming a hero was the easiest way to do that." I looked over at them, "And to make my parents proud." I added quietly.

The conversation wandered until I left to go home, scratching at my stomach as I thought of what to make.

I laid back in my apartment wearing only a over sized shirt and my underwear, eating from a large pot roasted vegtables with ground beef, I was flicking through the channels on the tv. A somehow timid knock came at my door. I finished the pot and stood up walking to the door. "Who is it?" I asked.

"It's Izuku." The timid boy's voice came through the door.

I opened the door. "What are you doing here?" I asked, I had given him my address so that he could come over and train.

His face turned bright red and he looked away from me. "I... wanted to know more about the Saiyans… and you." I stepped aside and let him in. "You have a nice place." He said.

"It's being paid with a loan from Nezu, I'll have to pay him back. You want anything to eat?" I asked as I made my way to the kitchen and opened the cupboards.

"Just a glass of water." He said. I grabbed a pair of glasses and filled them. I also made a large plate of ham sandwiches. I sat across from him at the table. "I said I wasn't hungry."

"I never said these were for you. I have a higher metabolism because I am a Saiyan, I have to eat twice my own body weight to stay healthy." I took a bite as I looked at him. "So what did you want to know?"

"Your home... what was it like?" He asked as he took his glass of water, a notebook on the table and pencil in his other hand.

"Planet Vegeta… well when you have a race that whole society revolves around power and fighting, the people had a reputation of being some of the fiercest warriors in the galaxy. As such the race was brought into the Freeza Empire. We weren't the good guys... and we knew it." I looked up at his shocked expression.

"Freeza Empire?" He asked as he stopped taking notes.

"A stuck up... I'm still not sure what they are, but they had more power then any Saiyan could dream of, Freeza concurred, wiped out the population and sold planets to a mass wealth and political power. Every single Saiyan warrior did missions for him, my father and brother fought for him, I wasn't powerful enough to be sent out. This is actually the second world I've been on."

"Did missions? They don't anymore? Dose this have something to do with you being a refugee?" He asked.

"For all I know... I'm the female last of my kind, I was in that stasis pod for four years. Freeza had betrayed us, destroying the planet, only my parents and a low class warrior named Bardock realized what was happening before the planet was destroyed."

"The entire planet? But... that's impossible." He was stunned.

"A ki user can do some insane things, it only takes a power level of around a thousand to destroy objects the size of the moon. A power level between twenty and thirty thousand to destroy planets. Freeza had a power level of over half a million. Five times All Might and you when you use your Quirk." I sighed as I grabbed another sandwich in uncomfortable silence.

"So... what now?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well... what do we do if... Freeza shows up here?" He asked.

"Hope he finds this world amusing enough to keep around, or useful to his empire. Other then that... fight till the bitter end." I leaned back.

"What about you? What will you do?" He asked, his green eyes had a determined look to them, he may have been a strange but a strong Saiyan had he been born one.

"I'll do what I can... after all I can't leave now. But they don't stray much further then a two years journey from then center of the empire, they have to make sure that they can move their troops efficiently. So I doubt they'll ever come out this far. Not for a long time at least." I cleaned off the plate and went to refill my glass. "I have a question for you."

"Oh... uh what is it?"

"Can someone who's entire people's race is built upon evil and genocide after genocide be a Hero?" I gulped, knowing that the answer was no, my hands were already stained with blood, I may not have killed, but I had been part of the group responsible.

"Of course, those are the actions of the past not you. Like you said, you have never been part of those missions, so you can build a new meaning for what it is to be a Saiyan." I looked at the bright eyed boy, he... was being honest. "You're not a bad person because of the actions of your ancestors, learn from their mistakes and grow."

I turned away from the boy, a small smile on my face. "Thank you."

Short chapter first, I'll be trying to get another one out in a few hours.
