Well it's the first day of May... and I have already smacked my finger with a hammer. Turns out I broke my finger like a fucking dumbass, yay. Yes it hurts a lot.
"HARBINGER!" I shouted, my power expanding cracking and pushing the ice outwards. I shattered all of it with my expanding Ki pressure. I stood on the edge of the arena, glowing a angry orange. "It isn't over yet!" I blasted forwards into a explosion of fire, but my Ki blew it way as I closed in on the scared boy, "DETROIT!" I grinned as I threw the punch straight into Todoroki's stomach. "SMAAAAAASH!" He was thrown from the ring slamming into and through the cement wall that kept the crowd out of the arena area.
I stood center of the ring bent over, huffing as I grinned from ear to ear, blood thundered through my body. I stood straight and bellowed, "WHO'S NEXT!?"
"Fuma wins the quarter finals!" Midnight raised her hand. The crowd remained silent, no cheering, as I look around, all I saw was horrified looks.
"She's too much of a loose cannon." One hero in the crowd said, my Saiyan senses picking up on it.
"Any agency would be stupid to take her on, this love of fighting is ridiculous, look at that destruction." Another said.
"Yeah that girl from earlier, she was determined, but this is just..." The first one said.
Then a clapping from the higher levels came, I looked up at who it was. Mirko was the only one, a big smile on her face. Then after they came out of their shock my class mates got on their feet cheering for me, and some people of the crowd but most remained silent. I kept my eyes locked with the Pro Hero.
Chapter 29: A Step Foreward
I walked off the stage as Cementos had to repair it again, as well as part of the stadium, two robotic nurses carried Todoroki out. I stepped into the gate way and there stood All Might in his skinny form. "Congratulations Fuma." He said as I looked up at him. "I have to admit, that was an amazing match."
"Well, you said to go out there and make an impression, but..." I looked back the way I came. "I don't think that most of them like me."
He held his chin, "Well you did just show a demonstration of power that most pro's dream off, and your extremely reckless and the entire time you had a sadistic smile etched on your face. Many of them would think that you enjoy fighting too much."
"But... fighting is part of being a hero." I said, "And having a strong fighting hero is a good thing." I was confused why they wouldn't like that.
"It's huh... complicated." All Might didn't have a answer.
I rolled my eyes, "Of course it is." I sighed. "Well I have to go get fixed up. And a change of clothes." I looked down at the torn, ripped and burned gym clothes. "I'm a mess."
"That you are." He tapped me on my shoulder with the palm of his hand. I walked up to the nurses office, being intercepted by Uraraka and Deku.
"That was amazing!" Deku said. "I didn't think you could use Hunters Lock on your self."
Uraraka had a bandage patch on her face covering a scrape. "Yeah, you totally won that like a hero." She did a few punches as she bounced,
I used my hand to hide a small giggle, I had felt this good in years. "Thanks." I said as I walked into the office. "I'll be back up in the balcony soon."
"We can wait." Uraraka said.
I closed the door behind me, and I looked down at the old woman. "My dear that was stupid of you." I flinched at the harsh words. I sat down on a bed and un wound the fight tape around my forearms revealing ugly purple and brown bruises. She brought over a x-ray camera, she took photos of my forearms. "You have several partial fractures and hairline fractures in your forearms from blocking all that ice. "Had it not been for your..."
The door slammed open as Todoroki was wheeled on by the medical bots, and not long after standing in the door frame was a large man with flames coming of his shoulders and face. I looked up at Endeavour. "Looks like I was right." I said smugly.
"Tsk." He crossed his arms and left.
Recovery girl looked at me, "You don't want to anger the Number two hero." She shook her head.
"Can't be any worse then how my kind treated me." I said to old hero as her healing kiss healed me up. I stood up and walked to Todoroki's bed.
He looked at me, "Your kind?" He asked.
"As I said, I'll explain when I'm ready." I shrugged, "You almost had me there. I wouldn't mind sparring again sometime."
"... I'll think about it." With that I turned around and went to walk out. "You really aren't human, are you?" He asked.
I stood still looking at the ground. "I'm afraid... I may be the last of my people. My home was destroyed four years ago. If that is a good or a bad thing... I don't know." I opened the door and walked out.
I closed the nurse's door behind me and I looked at the freckled, green haired boy. "Where is Uraraka?" I asked as I looked around for the brown haired girl.
"Oh, she went back to the balcony." he scratched at his chin. "Said that you and I needed a moment alone..." His face turned red.
"Oh, why is that?" I asked, a little confused.
He refused to look at me for a second. "Well... I'm not sure."
I just shrugged, before punching him very lightly in the face, "So long as we're friends, right?"
"R-right!" I let my hand fall to my side.
"So then lets take our first step to our goal of being the number one hero. Together, as a team."
I really can't tell you how hard and annoying it is to type when one of your fingers is busted. I'll be back tomorrow.
