I looked down at my tablet... hands shaking as the tournament progressed. 'These people... their ridiculous. What kind of thing caused this species to evolve so radically?'
There was going to be a intermission before the final match. I rewound the footage to the starting rounds where the pink Haired girl had her match. Those inventions had my gears turning, "Under different circumstances I would like to meet this Hatsume." I said to myself before rewinding back to the Midoriya and Todoroki match. 'This Midoriya... something about that power seems off. It's too powerful for someone his age.'
I looked out the red window port of my pod, and couldn't help but let my mind wander. 'Celron once this mission is over will want to wipe the population of this planet out for just taking Fuma in. But why is a Saiyan all the way out here, so far from Freeza's Empire? Last we heard only three others were alive in Freeza's army, the Prince and his underlings. Much less why is it his little sister?'
Personally I had never met Fuma, but the rest of the Lunar Hunters when we worked under Freeza, and before Celron had killed those he saw as useless, had met the girl as a child. Before that mission had happened.
"What did the prophet say back then? 'Slain by one of Family Blood wielding the power of Legends of a bygone era. The power of tainted Gold will tear a blackened heart from corrupted skin. A Rage unstoppable tearing down the cruel. With the aid of One for All by their side you will fail.'" I thought back to the mission that changed everything. 'I should have stayed in bed that day.'
Chapter 32: Sports Festival Finals, Fuma Vs Bakugo, Prides Clash
I walked onto the stage one last time. I knew that Bakugo wouldn't just step down from the fight like I had convinced Iida too. I stood stoically as Bakugo glared at me, a focused anger glinting in his blood red eyes. His fists clenched as we waited. "Well it's the two top students from the entrance Exam. Fuma who came in first with a score of One hundred and forty nine points. More then double Bakugo's seventy points which was the closest to her." Present Mic announced.
"These are two of UA's most promising combative students since All Might enrolled in the school." Aizawa said. "Both of them have the potential to be amazing heroes in time."
"Indeed, and neither will step down from a fight." Present Mic said.
"Are you ready!?" Midnight called.
I took in a breath. "May the better warrior win." I said as I dropped into a ready stance.
"I'll tear you down from that pedestal." Bakugo's hands sparked as he snarled.
"May the Final Match of the First Years begin!" Cementos announced.
Bakugo thrust his hands backward, a pair of massive explosions launched him forward looking to tackle me to the ground. I side stepped him but as he passed me he used his quirk to halt his momentum and used his other hand to aim at me in point blank range. Veins bulged under his skin as he forced a massive explosion out of his quirk. I was blown back to edge feet tearing trenches in the cement as I slowed down. Out of the smoke the blonde exploded at me, a closed fist connecting with my face, the force of several explosions behind it. I stumbled back, foot missing the stone edge and nearly fell out but I used my ki to fly upwards. 'He's pushing himself to his limits!' I wiped the corner of my mouth. Blood stained my hand.
I didn't have a second to think about that before a giant explosion filled the arena below us. Bakugo was flying at me explosions increasing his speed as he closed in on me. I shot down towards him meeting him half way with a ki ball that he matched with a explosion knocking us both back. As I spun through the air I had a idea. I straightened mid air and as Bakugo used his quirk to hang in the air as he got his bearings. I shot down to the bottom of the arena and began to fly in rapidly tightening circles.
Soon the wind picked up as the dirt and debris was sent sky high in a controlled twister. Bakugo was struggling to remain in the eye of my storm. the I shot up the center of it, the low air pressure allowing my to go even faster as I spun like a bullet. I tackled Bakugo and we blasted out going miles in the sky. the arena below us was nothing but a dot as Bakugo punched me in the face. I returned this blow twice fold as we separated, in the thin air we struggled for breath. He blasted his way to me landing a kick in my gut winding me then a massive explosion to the side of my head.
Everything went fuzzy.
Then I heard a primal roar inside my self.
The roar of a Great Ape.
I lost control of my Ki as the wind roared in my ears. I plummeted towards the ground and as I drew in a breath a angry wordless scream escaped my lips and I tapped into a power I hadn't touched since I was a child.
My body bulked up a bit, the hair that was in my face spread out and a angry silver aura surrounded me.
I had connected to the power of a great ape in my base form.
And my mind couldn't fully control it.
In a instant I reversed my momentum and exploded towards Bakugo, my fist slammed into his stomach making him vomit up both his lunch and blood. I grabbed the back of his jacket and threw him down towards the arena. I flew in as close as I could but he was moving to fast for me to catch up, near the ground he used his quirk to break his fall, he rolled backwards on the shattered stage holding his stomach as he stood up. Then I landed.
The second I touched the arena the back wind I had brought tore it and the surrounding area apart, Bakugo was thrown into the air again using his quirk to dodge chunks of rubble. I lunged at him my fist mere inches before Midnight called out.
"ENOUGH! The match is over!" I had just enough control to stop my self. My whole body twitched with anticipation. "Bakugo has stepped out of bounds."
We both looked down, he was on the edge of what was left of the arena, just out side the designated fight arena. 'No, not like this. This isn't a proper win.' I took a few breaths as the power faded and I fell to my knees exhausted. My battle instincts were on fire and I finally stood up looking up at the crowd, once again in silent horror. This time none of the heroes in the crowd need say anything.
I was a power to be feared instead of loved.
I stood straight and turned to leave the arena and await the awards ceremony. I had won, yet I wasn't the beloved hero of the sports festival.
Inside the tunnel stood All Might in his skinny form and Deku. "That was good. And don't worry you will win them over in time."
"Yeah, Fuma you did great, and what was that at the end?" Deku asked and I looked at the ground. "It was almost like you transformed or something."
"That... was... just..." I pushed past them, "I need to clear my head." 'I had broken my promise, I had used the one power that I couldn't fully control and had put everything at risk. Had that been a real fight with a villain, I would of lost control.' I found a bath room and washed my face over and over in the sink. 'Had she not called the end of the match... I would have killed him.'
Well I am tired. Movie time.
