A/N- ayyyyyy hows it going. I'm back and I brought some senseless fluff with me.

Mei floated up towards consciousness as if from a deep ocean. Glimpses of sunlight danced along her eyelids as she lingered in the warmth and heaviness. Mei didn't think she was a dreamer, and if she was she rarely remembered them. But surely what happened last night was a dream. And Mei was happy to linger in this particular dream that sent little pulses of satisfaction all the way down to her toes.

As she broke the surface and her eyes fluttered open she registered several things. First, that it was much warmer in the bed than usual. Second, naked skin pressing against her own naked skin. Third, that what happened last night was most likely not a dream.

On the contrary, Mei felt her heart swell in time with the memories filling her head and almost desperately wishing it hadn't been a dream. She blinked hair that wasn't her own out of her eyes and carefully turned her head, not wanting to disturb the delicate atmosphere she found herself in. Her gaze followed disheveled blonde strands, observed the leg thrown over body and the head on her chest. Yuzu snored like a baby panda, and clung to her like one as well. With the sunlight streaming through their window, the woman against her looked golden with afterglow in a way Mei couldn't look away from. She hesitated only a moment to wrap an arm around Yuzu's bare shoulders and pull her closer. A sound of contentment slipped groggily from Yuzu's lips and she nuzzled closer to Mei like she was the fluffiest of cuddle companions.

Mei's heart melted all over again at the sight and she couldn't help pressing her lips against the top of Yuzu's head for a long moment. Her edges had never felt softer than now, holding Yuzu's warmth against her. However, after some time Yuzu's body heat was definitely getting to her. Her mind also grew more restless the longer she was awake. She felt filled with the need to do something for her new lover. Careful not to disturb her slumbering bedmate, Mei managed to slip out from under Yuzu, substituting her own body with a pillow. Yuzu seemed content enough to cuddle the pillow. Biting down the urge to pet the adorable girl, Mei quietly pulled herself away.

She noticed evidence of the night before all over her skin in the bathroom mirror. Scratch marks along her arms and back. Mild bruises on her hips and love bites trailing from her neck all the way down her chest. She fingered the marks, reminded of the eager mouth that left them. Her ears quickly grew red and she tried her best to put a halt to the heat giving rise in her body. Flustered, she got dressed and set off for the kitchen to occupy herself with useful tasks.

By the time Yuzu awoke from her slumbering, Mei had already burned three pancakes. She didn't notice the blonde watching her from the doorway with an adoring smile on her face. When their eyes did meet Mei felt like her breath abandoned her. The air between them was forever different after they shared their first time… The two shyly looked away at the same time.

"Hey," Yuzu greeted with her usual sunshine and some unusual timidness. She even added a little wave as shuffled closer.

"It's not done," Mei blurted out to explain the charred remains on the stove and to distract herself. Yuzu giggled and Mei pursed her lips in dissatisfaction. She had hoped to have something resembling food before Yuzu caught her. Mei felt Yuzu's body heat acutely approaching her side. It was impossible to not be aware of Yuzu's body now.

"How about I help you out?" Yuzu asked, a touch of playfulness in her voice. Mei didn't know how to respond so she remained silent. While she cleaned up the remains of her attempts at breakfast Yuzu prepared a new batch. They navigated around each other like orbiting planets, always close by but not quite touching. Fleeting glances and little smiles and blushes. Their every miniscule interaction had Mei wondering when she was so aware of her own oxygen intake. She was usually so physically deliberate even when her emotions were all over the place. But last night they had literally bared everything to each other. Her walls, feelings, and love were all on the table along with Yuzu's. She had nothing to hide now, and she didn't quite know how to deal with that.

Yuzu's fingers grasped her hand. "Are you okay?" she asked quietly.

Mei met her gaze with a fond one of her own and nodded. "Of course I'm okay." More than okay, she felt completely unburdened for the first time in a long time. A pretty smile tugged Yuzu's lips before she looked down, playing with Mei's hand between them.

"Last night was…"

"Yes?"

"It was um…" Yuzu stepped even closer so that their toes were touching. Mei couldn't resist being in physical contact with her girlfriend, free hand going to rub at Yuzu's waist. "It was really amazing," Yuzu finally whispered breathlessly. Mei's mouth was going dry as her mind replayed how Yuzu sounded when saying her name in that voice. She also felt relieved that Yuzu enjoyed herself.

"Did I hurt you in anyway when we..?" Mei couldn't help asking. Yuzu's head shot up.

"What? Nonono, definitely not!"

"You cried a lot last night," Mei pointed out and Yuzu promptly went tomato red.

Yuzu covered her face her her free hand and groaned. "I cry when I'm overwhelmed! And you were just so wonderful and I love you so much… Urrrrg, it's so lame!" she whined.

Mei bit at the inside of her cheek to keep from smirking affectionately. She intertwined their fingers more fully.

"I didn't hurt you either, did I?" Yuzu asked back. Mei shook her head no. Yuzu looked genuinely relieved at that. "Good! Good. Because I would really like it if… you know… if we…" Yuzu gestured in the small space between them and Mei waited patiently for her to get her thoughts out of her head. "If we could maybe do it. Again. Sometime. Maybe. If you want to, I mean."

Mei hummed quietly at the request. "I don't know. I'll have to check my schedule."

The older woman groaned dramatically, leaning her forehead again Mei's shoulder and grabbing her shirt. "Mei, why do you tease me so much?"

"I have a very busy schedule and sleep is important to me."

"Oh god, you're serious," Yuzu snorted, giving Mei's shoulder a playful little shove that barely moved her away. Their eyes met filled with fondness and Mei couldn't hold back the need to kiss her so she did it before the feeling could burst out of her chest. Yuzu sighed happily against her lips as she kissed her softly with all the tenderness she could convey.

"Its funny," Yuzu whispered conspiratorially once they separated. "I feel like… like I'm jumping on a trampoline? That moment when you're at the top suspended in air. Except I'm not coming down, I'm just in the air all the time."

Mei's heart ached in familiarity with what Yuzu was trying to say. What an odd, apt way to describe her current state of being. "I feel the same way," Mei admitted quietly. Yuzu grinned widely at her and her heart jumped even higher on the metaphorical trampoline.

Then Yuzu was pressing their bodies together and looking at her lips. "Could there maybe be an opening on your schedule right now?"

Mei tried to swallow subtly. She wasn't sure she was very successful. Images of Yuzu writhing under her last night hindered her ability to respond promptly. "What about breakfast?" she nearly stumbled over her words when Yuzu started trailing her nose down her cheek to her neck.

"You can be my breakfast?" the blonde suggested as she brushed Mei's hair over her shoulder to press a kiss to her shoulder. What a compelling argument. Was she always this persuasive?

"You know, I washed my hands earlier, but… I can still smell you on them," Yuzu rasped against her collarbone. "It's driving me crazy." Her words jumpstarted the flow of blood in Mei's veins. She pulled her new lover's face up to kiss her with everything, everything she had. She started to lead them towards the dining room table before Yuzu squealed "oh crap the stove is on!".

Thankfully, only their hearts were burning.
