Modo was riding out to his sister's for the First Annual Post Great Goddess Day celebration. His family decided to celebrate the day after, because Althea and Modo wanted to see the results of their hard work, of making sure, every mouse had enough food to eat. Modo, Throttle, and Vinnie, described what they witnessed in the Ballroom, in grave detail to Gerald and Rosemary, right after Donovan came home from the Medical Center. Once the king and queen learned, their people were barely surviving, they acted. They called every single food warehouse, supplier, and market, in the kingdom, asking for a very large Food Drive, for those who needed it. They also gave jobs to anyone who wanted one.
Now, when Althea greeted the children, they were decently fed and clothed. Each one hugged the princess, asking her to thank the king and the queen for their generosity.
Modo had Charley build an Infant Seat for his bike. He looked into the left mirror, to see his son, smiling happily through his helmet. He made a funny face in the mirror, knowing Donovan was looking back at him. Which of course, made the little mouse laugh at his father. 'I love being a father. Crystal and Donovan are great kids. I can't wait until my sister meets her niece and nephew,' he thought.
Althea pulled up next to him on his left. As promised, right after Eva and Charles were able to be left, safely alone with their father. She built a bike for Althea. Hers was similar to Throttle's, but with a smaller engine and painted the same color blush as her wedding gown. She was dressed in the same outfit she wore when they first found Crystal.
Modo turned his head to the left, when he heard the motor of Althea's bike. His breath hitched as his eyes fell on his gorgeous wife, with her hair, billowing behind her from under her helmet.
Just behind Althea, was their daughter. He fell in love with her from the moment he saw her. The day Crystal started calling him, Daddy, made his heart beat faster than, when Althea said yes to marrying him.
Crystal caught her father, staring at her and her mother. She also knew her father loved her mother, more than almost anything. She said, "Dad! I know mom's got a smoking hot body! But keep your eye on the road!"
Althea and Modo skidded to a stop, put their feet down on the ground, then looked at their daughter. Then Althea asked, "Where did you learn to speak like that, Crystal?"
"Uncle Vinnie says that about aunt Charley all the time," she answered.
"Remind me to have a talk with uncle Vinnie, about what he says in front of you, Crystal," Modo stated.
"Dear, you know Vinnie always says what's on his mind, even though he shouldn't," Althea said.
"I know, Charley would not appreciate her kids, speaking like their father does, Althea. I know I don't want my kids to either," Modo stated.
"Crystal does have a point though," Althea said.
Modo raised his eyebrow at her, waiting for her to continue.
"I worked my tail off, to get my body back to the condition it was in, before I had Donovan. All that hard work paid off, don't you think?" Althea asked.
Modo couldn't deny, Althea looked even better, with all the toning she did with Charley and Carbine. Her body was even curvier and shapely than when they first met. Plus, her clothing choices were more daring and revealing. Instead of the long gowns she used to wear, she now wore, very tight jeans or leggings as well as form fitting shirts. To him, his wife had a better body, than even the goddess. "Althea, my love. No other can compare with you," He cautiously answered, hoping to avoid, directly answering her question.
She patted his left thigh, then said, "We still have another thirty minutes of riding to get to your sister's. I'd like to get there, before Donovan, starts to get hungry again." She tapped her left foot on the Gear Selector, let out the clutch, and rode off with Crystal.
Modo watched his wife and daughter, ride off ahead of him. He turned his body around to the left to face his son, then said, "Your mother is taking on Carbine's personality. I don't know if Mars is ready for two of her."
He quickly caught up to his wife, as they rode the rest of the distance to his sisters.
They arrived, twenty five minutes later, shutting off the engines on their bikes, and removing their helmets.
Crystal bound off the back of her mother's bike. She was very excited to meet her aunt, and see Lola and Rimfire again.
Modo and Althea were un-fastening the straps, holding Donovan in his bike seat. Althea was just picking up her son, as she heard Crystal's Boots, smacking against the front walk. She turned around, holding Donovan to her chest, saying, "Wait for the rest of your family, Crystal!"
Crystal ran up to the front door of Modo's sister's home and knocked on the door, not hearing her mother.
The door opened, revealing what appeared to be a twenty-two year old female mouse, with light tan fur, long blonde hair, which fell to her mid-back, and a smile on her face. "You must be Crystal! I'm Rimfire's sister, Primer! Come on in!" She stepped aside, opening the door wide.
Modo and Althea caught up to Crystal, and as soon as he set his eye on is niece, he said, "Primer!" He picked up Primer in his arms, pulled her into a Bear hug, then said, "You are as beautiful as your mother."
"I certainly hope so, brother," Primrose said.
Modo lifted his head to see his sister, leaning against the door frame. Her left leg was crossed over her right at the knee. He put Primer down and went over to his sister. He grabbed her and the waist, lifting her up in the air, saying, "Primrose! Its been too long."
Primrose hugged him, and said, "It has." She rested her head against his left shoulder, then said, "I've missed you, Modo." She looked her brother over, then said, "Married Life certainly agrees with you. You're even more of a hunk, than you were when you were with the Freedom Fighters."
"Um, thanks, sis," he said, blushing a hair. "Let me introduce you to my family." He set her on her feet, went over to Althea, then said, "Primrose, Primer, this is my wife, Althea and our son, Donovan. My little girl, who is by Primer, is Crystal. Althea, this is my sister, Primrose and her daughter, Primer."
Althea looked over the pair of female mice. They were dressed identically, in tight, short red dresses and ankle height, high heeled boots. But that's where the similarities ended. Primrose had light gray fur and waist length straight jet black hair. She went over to Primrose, shifting Donovan to her left arm, and extended her right hand in welcome, saying, "Nice to meet you, Primrose."
Primrose looked at the extended hand, then to Althea, and finally to her daughter. "Primer, can you take Donovan from your aunt?"
"Of course, mom," Primer said, before she went over and took Donovan from Althea. She looked down at the infant in her arms, and said, "You're going to be as handsome as your father, when you get older, cutie." Then looked over her right shoulder to Crystal, and said, "Come with me, Crystal. I'm sure we can find something fun, while the Old Mice play catch up."
That earned her a stern glance from Primrose. She rested her weight on her right hip, before she said, "Careful, daughter. I'm not old, just older than you!"
"Anything you say, mom," Primer said, leading Crystal towards the back of the house.
Once Primer and Crystal were gone, Primrose pulled Althea into a hug, saying, "Family don't shake hands. We hug, Althea. Sorry we missed the wedding. Heard it was one heck of a party."
Althea hugged her back, then said. "It was. Modo told me about the fight between Rimfire and my ex. You should be very proud of your son."
"I am. He takes after his father and uncle, too much. However, those traits he learned from his father and uncle, made him a wonderful husband to Lola, and an even better father," Primrose said.
"Lola had the baby?" Althea asked.
"Oh yes she did. That kid has a set of lungs on her. When she was born, and started crying, we heard her wailing all the way down the hall. But as soon as she was placed in her father's arms, she calmed down. She has Rimfire tightly wrapped around her little fingers. They should be here, shortly. Come and sit down. Then, Althea, you can tell me how you managed to bag my brother."
The three of them sat in the living room. With Althea sitting to the left of Modo on the couch. Her right hand was in his mechanical left hand. Primrose sat across from them in a chair. As Althea told her how they met, how they found Crystal, and their wedding.
"See Modo. Mom and I told you, if you treat a lady right, she would fall for you. Although, I never would have expected to have your future wife to literally fall into your arms," Primrose said.
"I wasn't expecting it either. However, if I didn't catch her, I never would have met this wonderful mouse, who I love more and more each day," he said, before he kissed Althea.
Crystal and Primer, who was still carrying Donovan in her arms returned to see Modo and Althea kissing.
"Told you, if we left my parents long enough, they would kiss," Crystal stated.
"Guess I have to take you for a ride on my bike," Primer said.
Modo pulled back from the kiss, looked at his niece and daughter. Then said, "I don't mind you taking her for a ride, Primer. But don't show off for your cousin. I know you have been taking riding lessons with Vinnie, from your mother."
"Uncle Vin is a great teacher!" Primer said as her tail shot out straight from her body.
"And him teaching you, how to ride on only your rear wheel, makes him a great teacher, Primer?" Primrose asked.
Primer stroked the fur between Donovan's antenna with the fingers on her left hand, as she answered, "You have me on that one, mom. But, if it wasn't for his teachings, I wouldn't have met my guest." She blushed ever so slightly, after speaking.
"Guest? When were you going to tell me, you have someone coming over?" Primrose asked.
"I wasn't. I wanted it to be a surprise, mom," Primer said.
There was a knock at the door. "I'll get it," Primrose said, as she rose to her feet. Then said as she faced her daughter, "This isn't over yet, Primer."
She went over to the door, opened it, and saw her son, with his baby daughter in his arms. "Rimfire! Come on in!"
Rimfire entered the home, and kissed his mother.
Primrose's eyes fell on her granddaughter. She picked up the tiny mouse from her son, saying, "How's grandma's little angel?"
The tiny light gray mouse, with little wisps of red hair, smiled with a toothless smile back at her grandmother, cooing happily.
Primrose picked her up from Rimfire's arms, bringing her to her chest. "You are as beautiful as your mother."
"That she is, mother. Can I have Scarlet back?" Rimfire asked, reaching for his daughter.
"You get to hold her all the time, Rimfire. Let your mother, enjoy her time with her granddaughter," Primrose said before she kissed Scarlet between her tiny antenna.
"That's Scarlet? Can I see her?" Crystal asked as she approached Primrose.
Modo and Althea joined Crystal by Primrose. The two adults peered down at the tiny mouse, happily in her grandmother's arms. Then Althea said, "The goddess blessed you and Lola, Rimfire. She's so beautiful."
Rimfire walked over to his mother, looked down at his daughter, then said, "She's perfect, aunt Althea."
Crystal reached up with her right hand to gently touch Scarlet's right cheek. As she caressed the soft fur, Scarlet brought her left hand up to her face and wrapped her little fingers around Crystal's index finger.
"I think she likes me," Crystal said.
"She does, little cousin," Rimfire said. He lifted his head to face Primer, then said, "Lola said she would be right behind me. Can we lay Scarlet down for a nap in your room, sis?"
"Of course, Rimmie," Primer replied. Then Donovan yawned, quite loudly for an infant. "Guess he could use a nap too. Aunt Althea, can I put him down with Scarlet?"
"Certainly, Primer. He must feel comfortable around you. Normally, he would be fussy around Nap Time, if he wasn't with either me or Modo." She walked over to Primer, bent over, and kissed Donovan. Then said, "Sleep well. Mommy loves you."
As Althea righted herself, Rimfire took his daughter back from Primrose, then said, "Lead on, Primer."
Primer turned on her right heel, and started walking down the hall towards her room, closely followed by Rimfire. She opened the door to her room, entered, and walked over to her bed. She gently laid Donovan down in the center of the bed, and piled up some pillows and blankets around him, so he couldn't accidentally roll off the bed as he slept.
Rimfire followed Primer into her room and noticed how well his sister took care of Donovan. He placed Scarlet to Donovan's left, then pulled up one of the blankets, to the tiny mice's necks. After kissing his daughter, he lifted his upper body, laid his right arm around Primer's waist, then said, "She is such a good little girl, Primer. She reminds me of you, when you were little."
Primer kissed her brother's left cheek, causing him to blush, and said, "Thank you brother. I always thought you never wanted kids?"
"That was before I got serious with Lola. Seeing her lovingly play with her students, made me realize, she wanted to have kids. If I married any other woman, I probably wouldn't have any kids. She changed me, Primer, and I'm happy she did. I can't imagine what my life would be like, if I didn't have Scarlet in it."
"Fatherhood suits you, brother, just like uncle Modo," Primer said. Then a few tears formed in her eyes, as she remembered the fun times they had with their father, before he was killed in the war.
Rimfire felt a change in his sister. He looked at her face and noticed the tears. He turned her in his arms, embraced her tightly, then said, "Hey, dad wouldn't want you to be crying over him."
"I know, but its hard, knowing I'll never feel his arms around me, or being there, when I had a nightmare, or simply telling me he loves me," She started crying, even harder into Rimfire's shoulder, then asked, through her sobs, "Why did the goddess take him from us? Seeing you and uncle Modo, being awesome fathers, makes me miss him so much!"
Rimfire rocked his sister in his arms, holding back his own tears, as he remembered the day when their father, kissed them all goodbye, before riding off to join the Army. Then the day when a well dressed soldier, knocked on their door, telling their mother, her husband died with honor, and their mother, falling to her knees, crying her eyes out. "I don't know, Primer. I miss him too. I only hope, he's watching over us, and he can see his granddaughter."
Primer cried into her brother's shoulder for a few more minutes, soaking his shoulder with her tears. She finally calmed down, lifted her face from his shoulder, wiped the remnants of the tears from her eyes, then said, "Thank you, Rimfire. I felt like I was in dad's arms, as you were holding me. I hope you are going to hold your daughter, and Lola, as dad held me and mom?"
"Nothing wold make me happier, Primer. Scarlet is going to be loved, by her father for the rest of my days, and Lola won't be able to get rid of me," Rimfire answered, then kissed his sister.
Primer kissed him back, then asked, "I wonder if you kiss Lola, like you kissed me?" She pushed herself out of her brother's embrace, stepped away from him, then asked, "Or do you kiss her with such passion, she moans out of pleasure?" And took off into the hall, knowing Rimfire would chase her.
Rimfire smiled at his sister's teasing, then took off after her.
Lola arrived on her bike and parked next to her husband's bike. After she dismounted, she went over to Rimfire's bike, crouched down to the exhaust to see if it was still hot, so she could gauge how long he was here. The heat from the chrome pipe was still quite evident, meaning he only arrived a short while ago. She stood back up, fluffed out her hair, and walked towards the front door. She knocked and waited for either Primrose or Primer to answer.
The three adults sat in the Living Room. The two siblings were telling stories to Althea of how they played and got into to trouble when they were younger. One tale made Althea laugh so hard, she almost fell out of the chair she was sitting in. After she stabilized herself, Althea said, "I never would have thought you could get your mother, mad at you, dear."
"It wasn't often, Althea," Modo said. "But sometimes, Primrose and I weren't the Quiet Little Mice, my mother wanted."
"You mean, when mom caught you and your girlfriend on the couch, in a tight lip lock?" Primrose asked with a smirk on her face.
Althea shot her husband a look, then asked, "My dear husband wasn't a gentleman at all times? I'm shocked."
"I was young then, dear," Modo said, trying to find an excuse for his behavior.
"We both were, brother. But I was more, discrete when I decided to be more amorous with my boyfriends, so I wouldn't have gotten caught, in a very compromising position, like you did," Primrose said.
Primrose heard a knock on the front door. As she rose to her feet, she said, "Its probably Lola." She went to the door and opened it with her right hand. On the other side, was indeed Lola, wearing light blue leggings and a red short that matched her hair. Primrose embraced her daughter-in-law, as she said, "You look gorgeous, Lola. Rimfire was laying Scarlet down for a nap with Donovan. Come on in."
Lola hugged Primrose back, as she said, "Rimfire is an awesome father to Scarlet. He barely lets me lift a finger, when it comes to her."
The two females entered Primrose's home. After Primrose closed the door and Lola walked into the Living Room, they heard the sounds of two sets of boots, clacking rapidly against the floor. Followed by, Primer's voice, stating, "All the weight from those muscles you developed, brother are slowing you down!" She ran past them, with her blond hair flowing behind her.
"What on Mars is going on?" Lola asked.
"Wait until I get my hands on you, Primer!" Rimfire said. "I remember how ticklish you are!"
Just as he ran into the room, Lola yelled, "Rimfire! What is going on!?"
Rimfire skidded to a stop, right in front of his wife. He panted a few times, then answered, "Simple sibling teasing, Lola." He finally got a good look at what she was wearing, pulled her to him, then said, "You look so beautiful," and kissed her.
Lola couldn't help but to kiss him back, and wrap her arms around his neck.
Primrose watched her son, kiss his wife, and when his left hand started to travel south on her body, she said, "My bedroom hasn't seen any action is quite some time. If you two want to use it to make me a grandmother again?"
Rimfire withdrew his hands from his wife and the kiss. Then stared, wide eyed at his mother, saying, "Mom!"
"Don't mom me, Rimfire! When your father and I were first married, we couldn't get enough of each other. I got pregnant with you, right after the honeymoon and Primer a year later," Primrose said. She looked over to Lola, then said, "If Rimfire is anything like his father, he'll be quite attentive to you, in the bedroom."
Rimfire's mouth dropped open when he heard what his mother was insinuating. But before he could retaliate, there was another knock on the door.
Primer ran back into the room, saying, "I'll get it!" She opened the door, revealing a tall, well-built mouse. With all black fur, long black hair, and he was wearing black jeans and a black leather vest. She excitedly said, "Jet!" Before jumping into his arms.
Jet grabbed Primer by the waist, lifting her up, so he could kiss her.
She kissed him back, then asked, "I thought you weren't coming until later?"
"I wasn't. But I couldn't stay away from the woman who makes my heart beat, faster, Primer. Love you, babe," Jet said with his deep voice.
"I love you too," She replied, then kissed his nose and said, "Come in, and meet my uncle, aunt, and my sister-in-law."
Jet carried Primer into the house and into the living room. Where he received a censuring glare from Primrose and Modo. "Do you always carry my daughter around like that, Jet?" Primrose asked.
"I do. When she's around, I can't keep my hands off of her," Jet answered.
Modo rose to his feet, walked over to Jet, then said, "Women shouldn't be handled like that, Jet."
"Especially my sister!" Rimfire added as he stepped away from Lola and made himself appear bigger.
Jet set Primer on her feet, but he didn't let go of her, then said, "Sorry if I offended any of you. Primer is my reason for living. I love her, with all my heart and soul."
"And I love him, uncle Modo," Primer said, as she stroked the fur on his right cheek, which caused Jet to blush.
Jet let go of Primer, reached into his vest, fingering a small box. He then said, "Primer, If I don't do this now, I'm going to throw up, on your mother's floor." He dropped to a single knee, grasped her hands in his, then said, "Primer, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife? Will you marry me?"
Tears formed in Primer's eyes, as she looked down at her boyfriend, who was looking up at her with adoring eyes. "Yes, I'll marry you, Jet!" She pushed him to the floor, and kissed him, nice and hard.
Primrose went over to her brother's left side, wrapped her arms around his arm, leaned her head against his shoulder, then said, "My little girl, is getting married, Modo."
Modo kissed his sister between her antenna, then said, "My niece is growing up. I still remember her, being so small, she could fit in the palm of my hand." He looked down at Jet, who was now rubbing his nose against Primer's, then said, "You had better treat her right, Jet."
"I promise, Mr. Maverick, she will be my first priority, in everything," Jet said.
Althea came up to Modo's right side, then said, "You don't have to worry about Primer, Modo. But I do have another gift for you."
"What else could my ever loving wife, give me, that I don't have already?" Modo asked.
Althea smiled, then stood on her toes to whisper in Modo's right ear, "Remember, our Anniversary, and what we did, after we put Crystal to bed?"
His eye glowed red, as he remembered, taking Althea to the heights of pleasure, over and over again that night. His eye returned to normal, looked down at his wife, then asked, "Are you?"
She took his right hand, placed it on her stomach, then said, "Very. I'm hoping for a girl, this time."
