Hey guys! This story is sort of a AU of the ending of Yugioh VRAINS. I decided to write this story because A, I needed a break from writing Altered Destiny, and B, it's Christmas and this is my present to all of y'all! If you are here from my series, then thanks for getting my story over 100 favs and follows! It truly means the world to me! I've always wanted to do a protag duel and here it is! It had been around 3 months since the defeat of Ai. Yusaku Fujiki had just returned from another meaningless trip to LINK VRAINS in an attempt to find his partner.

He hadn't contacted any of his friends since his duel with Ai. He didn't want their help. He was the one that "killed" Ai. So he felt that he needed to do this alone. He had faith that his friends would be able to take care of things while he was away.

But he was beginning to lose hope.

There was no way this was the end. Him and Ai had been through too much. After defeating the Knights of Hanoi and even Bohman, this couldn't be the end.

He couldn't accept that this was the end.

He didn't want to face the future without his partner.

"Damn it, Ai...where are you...?!" Yusaku grunted in anger. He clenched his fist and threw his duel disk at his wall.

The duel disk bounced and landed on his bed. The duel disk's screen began to glow purple.

Yusaku panicked, thinking he may have broken the duel disk.

He picked up the glowing duel disk and inspected it. Nothing seemed to be damaged. He looked in confusion as the purple glow became brighter.

"What the-?!" Yusaku said as he was consumed by the purple light...

It has been 6 months since Yuya defeated Reiji and became a Professional Entertainment Duelist. His schedule had been insanely busy with school, teaching at the duel school, and his career, but he was doing a great job.

He had his Dad back in his life, he accomplished his dream of becoming a pro. The dimensions were at peace. He had 3 new best friends that live in his head. He even confessed his feelings to a special someone. Life was good.

Yuya Sakaki had just woken up from his slumber. He rolled out of bed and began to change out of his pajamas and into his normal clothes.

As he got ready, three spirits with identical faces appeared behind the boy.

"Good morning." Yuto greeted.

"Mornin', Yuya!" Yugo also said.

"Someone slept well..." Yuri scoffed as he looked at the boy's bed head.

"Hey guys." Yuya said to the spirits.

"You excited for your date with Yuzu?" Yugo asked.

"O-Of course. We've been together for quite a while now." Yuya said with a faint blush.

"You two really are love birds. I'm so proud." Yuto smiled.

"Yeah! Technically, since Rin is with Yuzu and I'm with Yuya, that means Rin and I are together!" Yugo excitedly said.

"Only you would come up with such an idiotic statement, Fusion." Yurismirked.

"Don't call me Fusion!" Yugo growled.

"Chill out, guys." Yuya said as he put on his coat. He walked over to his Duel disk and began typing on it. He then clicked some buttons and messaged his girlfriend where to meet him. He smiled seeing she responded with a heart emoji.

Before Yuya put his duel disk down, a purple glow began elongating from the screen.

"What the heck is going on?!" Yuya said in confusion.

"Yuri! What did you do?!" Yuto questioned.

"Surprisingly, this has nothing to do with me!" Yuri yelled.

"This isn't going to end well!" Yugo yelled.

"I have a bad feeling-!" Yuya yelled as his body was consumed by the purple light...

"Where the hell am I...?" Yusaku grunted as he got up. But he wasn't Yusaku Fujiki at this moment.

He looked at his body and noticed he was wearing a black and green body suit that had a golden strip running through it. He looked through the reflection of his duel disk and saw that he had orange and yellow hair with emerald eyes.

Right now, he was Playmaker.

"Was I forced to log into LINK VRAINS...or is this place something else entirely..." Playmaker wondered.

"Uh, hello...!" A voice coming from behind the Cyberse user spoke out.

Playmaker turned his head to see a body with red and green hair wearing a red shirt, green pants, a white jacket as a cape, goggles on his head, and a blue pendant.

"Did you bring me here?" Playmaker questioned with a glare.

"N-No..." Yuya shook his head. "My duel disk began to shine and I showed up here."

"I see. This place...it could possibly be some sort of pocket dimension connecting to LINK VRAINS..." Playmaker brainstormed.

"LINK VRAINS? What's that?" Yuya asked. This caught Playmaker's attention.

"...Where are you from?" Playmaker asked.

"I'm from Miami City." Yuya answered.

"That's strange. I've never hear of that place. Have you ever heard of Den City?" Playmaker said to the confused teen.

"No, I don't think so." Yuya shook his head.

'This guy...there's no way we are from the same place...' Playmaker thought to himself.

"It's possible that this guy could be from a different dimension besides yours. Though I've never heard of Den City or LINK VRAINS in my home dimension." Yuto told the Pendulum user.

"Same here." Yugo said.

"Me too." Yuri also said.

"What dimension are you from?" Yuya asked causing Playmaker's eye to twitch.

"What are you talking about?" Playmaker questioned.

"How does this guy not know? I thought it would be common knowledge by now" Yuri said with a irritated tone.

"Eh, never mind. I don't think we exchanged names. My name is Yuya Sakaki! I'm a Professional Entertainment Duel and a member of the Lancers." Yuya said with a smile as he bowed.

"I'm Playmaker." The Cyberse user said.

"A nickname?" Yugo said in confusion.

"So what is LINK VRAINS anyways?" Yuya asked.

"It's a digital world that people where I'm from duel freely." Playmaker summarized.

"If this place is connected to LINK VRAINS, which is a place used for dueling, do you think we were brought here to duel..." Yuya told Playmaker.

"A duel..." Playmaker uttered while looking at his duel disk. It had been 3 months since he dueled Ai and he hadn't dueled since then.

"C'mon, it will be fun!" Yuya smiled.

"Fun?" Something snapped inside Playmaker's mind. His eyes twitched as a he saw a flash of his partner dissolving in his arms before snapping back to reality.

"Are you ok?" Yuya asked.

"Yeah...I'll duel you...!" Playmaker said as he glared at Yuya.

"Something is definitely up with this guy." Yugo noticed.

"How perceptive, Fusion." Yuri joked causing Yugo to grunt.

"In LINK VRAINS, we have Master Duels. There are 2 Extra Monsters zones that connect our fields. Extra Deck monsters can only be summoned to the Extra Monster zones and Main Monster zones that Link Monsters' arrows point to." Playmaker explained.

"Link Monsters?" Yuya said in confusion.

"So where you come from doesn't have Link Monsters? Link Monsters can be summoned by sending a number of monsters on the field to the graveyard equal to the monster's link markers that also meet the summoning requirements. They have arrows that can point to both player's Main Monster zones and Extra deck monsters can be summoned to these zones." Playmaker explained.

"So Pendulum Summoning from my extra deck will be limited..." Yuya realized.

"Pendulum?" Playmaker said in a confused tone.

"So you don't have Pendulum cards...Pendulum Cards are not sent to the graveyard, but the face up Extra Deck when leaving the field. Pendulum Monsters can be placed in certain zones and treated as Spell cards. Pendulum Monsters have Scales and when two Pendulum Monsters are in the Pendulum Zones, I can special summon monsters from my hand or Pendulum monsters from my face up Extra Deck whose levels are in between the Pendulum Scales."

"I see..." Playmaker said. This duel sure was going to be interesting.

"Alright! The fun has just begun!" Yuya shouted as he waved his arm through the air while activating his orange blade on his red duel disk.

"Tch...I will win this duel! Let's go!" Playmaker shouted with a serious tone as he activated his duel disk.

"Let's begin!" Yuya yelled with a determined smile.

"MASTER-" Playmaker shouted.

"DUEL!"

YUYA: 4000 LP vs PLAYMAKER: 4000 LP

"I'll start this duel off! It's time to get this show on the road, My Turn!" Yuya shouted with a smile.

"Show?" Playmaker repeated.

"I'll set one monster facedown and one card facedown Turn End! Take it away, Playmaker!" Yuya told his opponent.

"Hmph, My turn!" Playmaker shouted as he drew his card. "I'll show you the power of the Cyberse!"

"Cyberse?" Yuya repeated with a confused tone.

"I summon Draconnect!" Playmaker shouted as a small white dragon appeared with blue lines running through it.

Draconnet (1400/1200) LVL: 3

"Draconnet's effect activates! When this card is normal summoned, I can special summon a Level 2 or lower Normal Monster from my hand or deck in defense position! I special summon Bitron from my deck!" Playmaker exclaimed as a small white monster appeared.

Bitron (200/2000) LVL: 2

"Appear, the circuit that leads to the future!" Playmaker shouted as he extended his hand out. A spark of energy shot out of his hand and bursted into the sky causing a blue rectangle to appear with 8 arrows on it that pointing in different directions.

"What is this...?" Yuya asked with a nervous tone.

"Arrowheads confirmed! The summoning condition is 1 normal monster! I set Bitron into the Link Marker! Circuit Combine!" Yusaku shouted as his small white monster turned into a Hurricane of energy that flew into the bottom arrow. "Link Summon! Come forth! Link 1! Link Spider!"

Out of the portal, a dark blue spider appeared on Playmaker's field.

Link Spider (1000) LR: 1 Arrows: Up

"So this is a Link monster...amazing...!" Yuya said in awe.

"Link Spider's effect activates! Once per turn, I can special summon a Level 4 or lower Normal Monster from my hand to the zone this card points to! Come, Protron!" Playmaker shouted as a small blue monster appeared.

Protron (100/100) LVL: 1

"Appear again, the circuit that leads to the future!" Playmaker shouted as the link circuit appeared once more. "The summoning conditions are 1 Level 1 Monster! I set Protron into the Link Marker! Link Summon! Come forth! Link 1! Linkuriboh!"

Out of the link circuit, a small robotic kuriboh variation appeared. It was dark blue and it had light blow eyes. It appeared in the monster zone that Link Spider was pointing to.

Linkuriboh (300) LR: 1 Arrows: Bottom

"Appear for the third time, the circuit that leads to the future!" Playmaker shouted.

"A third time?!" Yuya shouted.

"Arrow Heads Confirmed! The summoning conditions are 2 or more effect monsters! I set the Link 1 Link Spider, Link 1 Linkuriboh, and Draconnet in the Link Markers!" Playmaker yelled as his three monsters turned into hurricanes of energy that flew into three of the arrows. "Come forth! Link 3! Decode Talker!"

A monster appeared that had blue armor which had purple energy flowing throughout it. The monster had a sword that had a blade made out of purple energy. The monster swung it's sword through the air as it landed in the extra monster zone.

Decode Talker (2300) LR: 3 Arrows: Up, Bottom Left, Bottom Right

"Woah..." Yuya said in awe.

Playmaker looked at his ace monster for a moment as it reminded him of Ai. The card that he obtained from Ai's power. The card that made the final attack that ended Ai during their duel, causing him to die. Ai brought Decode Talker into this world and Decode Talker took him out of it. How fitting...

"Playmaker, are you ok?" Yuya asked the savior of Link VRAINS.

"Yeah..." Playmaker responded as he snapped back to reality.

"This guy sure looks sad..." Yugo noticed.

"Yeah...but with my dueling, I'll cheer him up!" Yuya said with a determined tone.

"Battle! Decode Talker, attack that facedown! Decode End!" Playmaker shouted as his dragon charged forward with it's glowing blade. The card flipped open revealing a brown donkey with a top hat.

Entermate Secondonkey (1000/2000) LVL: 4

The blue and purple Code Talker raised it's sword high in the air and slashed through the Entermate, destroying.

"Tch..." Yuya clicked his tongue. "So you anticipated that my set monster had a strong DEF, eh?"

"Something like that. I set one card facedown, turn end." Playmaker concluded with a facedown.

"Alright! I'll show you my Entertainment Dueling! My turn, draw!" Yuya shouted as he happily drew.

"Entertainment dueling..." Yusaku uttered, being reminded of Go and Aoi.

"I activate the Spell Card, Pendulum Magic Box! I draw 2 cards, and if they are Pendulum Cards, I can add them to my hand! Let's go! Draw!" Yuya shouted as he the two cards and smiled. "Yes! I drew the Pendulum Monsters Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magcian!"

"Pendulum Monsters?"

"Alright! You showed me the power of your world's summoning method, so I'll show you mine! It's time for the show to begin! With the Scale 1 Stargazer Magician, and the Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

In the blue columns that appeared on each side of Yuya, his two iconic magicians rose upwards as the numbers 1 and 8 appeared below them respectively.

Stargazer 1 - 8 Timegazer

"What?" Playmaker said in a somewhat surprised tone.

"So it seems that in Master Duels, the Pendulum Zones become the outside Spell/Trap card zones..." Yuya said to himself.

"What was that?" Playmaker asked.

"Oh, it's nothing! With my current scale, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 2 through 7!" Yuya explained as he pointed to the sky.

"Simultaneously summoning monsters..." Playmaker uttered.

"Let's do this! I'll show you the power of Pendulum Summoning right now! Swing Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon!" Yuya shouted as a larger version of his Pendulum swung back and forth in the air while a portal appeared in between the two magicians. "Come forth! Wondrous and beautiful dragon with dichromatic eyes! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

A large bright red light shot out of the portal revealing a dragon with red scales and dichromatic red and green eyes. The dragon had a large blue orb in the center of it's body. The dragon had a pair white horns protruding from it's head and a pair of shit horns protruding from it's back which had red and green orbs on it. The dragon also had a large red tail.

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000) LVL: 7

"A high level monster so easily, so this is the power of Pendulum Summoning..." Playmaker realized.

"Alright, partner! Let's put on a mesmerizing show!" Yuya shouted as he got on his ace's back. "Battle! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Decode Talker! With your dual colored eyes, lay waste to all you see! Spiral Strike Burst!"

The dragon jumped up into the air and shot a beautiful red and orange blast of fiery energy directly at the Code Talker. The Link Monster tried to endure the blast with it's sword, but the attack was too powerful, causing an explosion.

PLAYMAKER: 4000-3800 LP

"How's that, Playmaker?" Yuya asked with a smirk as the smoke cleared on Playmaker's field.

"Not bad. But I can still make a move! Trap Activate! Cyberse Beacon! During the turn I took damage, I can add a level 4 or lower Cyberse monster from my deck to my hand!" Playmaker shouted as a card popped out of his duel disk.

"So you predicted I would damage you...not bad. I set one card facedown, Turn End!" Yuya concluded.

"My turn! I summon Flame Bufferlo!" Playmaker shouted as a dark colored Buffalo with blue flames appeared.

Flame Bufferlo (1400/200) LVL: 3

"Next, with Micro Coder's effect, I can use this card this card as Link Material while it's still in my hand! Appear, the circuit that leads to the future! Arrows Heads Confirmed! The summoning conditions are 2 effect monsters! I set Flame Bufferlo and Micro Coder into the Link Markers! Link Summon! Come forth! Link 2! Code Talker!" Playmaker shouted as a smaller grey armored warrior with a sword that had a grey energy blade appeared.

Code Talker (1300) LR: 2 Arrows: Top, Bottom

"When Flame Bufferlo is sent to the graveyard, by discarding a Cyberse Monster, it's effect lets me draw 2 cards!" Playmaker shouted as he sent a card to the graveyard to draw 2. "Then, Micro Coder's effect activates! When this card in my hand is used as Link Material for a Code Talker, I can add a Cynet Spell/Trap from my deck to my hand! Next, I special summon Link Infra-Flier!"

A monster that looked similar to a blue and red glider appeared in the zone that Code Talker's bottom arrow was pointing to.

Link Infra-Flier (0/1800) LVL: 2

"This card can be special summoned to a zone that a Link Monster is pointing to. And Code Talker gains 500 ATK for each monster that it points to." Playmaker explained as his monster powered up.

Code (1300)-(1800)

"That's still too weak to match up to Odd Eyes!" Yuya told the link duelist.

"I'm not done yet! Appear once more, the circuit that leads to the future! Arrow heads confirmed! I set the Link 2 Code Talker and Link Infra-Flier into link markers! Link Summon! Come forth! Link 3! Transcode Talker!" Playmaker exclaimed as Link Infra-Flier turned into a single hurricane of energy while Code Talker turned into two hurricanes that flew into 3 of the arrows. An orange armored Code Talker appeared in Playmaker's extra monster zone.

Transcode Talker (2300) LR: 3 Arrows: Top, Right, Bottom

"Transcode Talker's effect activates! I can special summon a Link 3 or lower Cyberse Link monster from my graveyard in a zone this card points to! Come back, Code Talker!" Playmaker yelled as link 2 monster returned in the zone that Transcode's bottom arrow pointed to.

Code Talker (1300) LR: 2 Arrows: Top, Bottom

"Code Talker gains 500 ATK for every monster it points to. And when co-linked with another monster, both monsters gain 500 ATK!" Playmaker explained as both monsters powered up.

Code (1300)-(2300)

Transcode (2300)-(2800)

"It's stronger than Odd Eyes...!" Yuya realized.

"I'm still not finished! While I control 2 or more Link Monsters, I can special summon Cross Debug from my hand!" Playmaker exclaimed as a small blue and yellow monster that looked similar to a lady bug appeared.

Cross Debug (900/600) LVL: 2

"Appear again, circuit that leads to the future! I set the Link 2 Code Talker and Cross Debug into the Link Markers! Link Summon! Come forth! Link 3! Excode Talker!" Playmaker shouted as a green armored Code Talker with green shields on it's arms appeared in the zone that Transcode's bottom arrow was pointing to.

Excode Talker (2300) LR: 3 Arrows: Top, Left, Right

"When Excode Talker is Link Summoned, I can choose unused Main Monster zones equal to the amount of monster in the Extra Monster zones. I choose the monster zone that Transcode Talker's top arrow points to! Grasp Zone!" Playmaker yelled as his green Code Talker gathered a green sphere of energy in it's hands and threw it at the monster zone next to Odd Eyes.

"Now I can't summon any monsters to that zone..." Yuya said with a worried tone.

"Due to Transcode Talker's effect, both of my monsters gain 500 ATK! And due to Excode Talker's effect, all monster this card point to gain 500 ATK and they can't be destroyed by card effects!" Playmaker explained as both monsters powered up.

Transcode Talker (2300)-(3300)

Excode Talker (2300)-(2800)

"3300 ATK and 2800 ATK...!" Yuya uttered in amazement.

"Battle! Transcode Talker, attack Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Playmaker commanded. The orange Code Talker combined pieces of it's armor on it's back, creating a cannon that was charging orange energy. "Go! Transcode Finish!"

The attack fired and a stream of orange energy was sent directly at the red dragon. Yuya looked at the attack before looking down and smirking. "If you think I'll give up so easily, think again! It's time for supporting cast to take the stage! Quick Play Spell, Hippo Carnival!"

Suddenly, three different colored hippos in bikinis and peacock tails appeared next to the red dragon.

Hippo Token x3 (0/0) LVL: 1

"What is this?" Playmaker said with a somewhat annoyed tone.

"Due to my spell's effect, you must attack all my Hippos before attacking any of my other monsters!" Yuya explained as the hippos danced.

"Hmph. In that case, the attack is redirected to one of your Hippo Tokens! Go, Transcode Finish!" Playmaker yelled as the blue Hippo was obliterated by the orange blast. "Excode Talker, another Hippo Token! Excode Close!"

The green Code Talker jumped forward and green claw-like energy blades appeared on the monster's arms. It then slashed through the Hippo with ease.

"...Turn End." Playmaker concluded feeling disappointed that he didn't manage to damage his opponent at all.

"That was an amazing move! But now it's my turn to show you my strength! My turn!" Yuya smiled as he drew. "Alright! For my next act, I'll be making both of your monsters disappear!"

"You're saying you'll break through my monsters?" Playmaker asked.

"That's right! With the set scale, Pendulum Summon! Come forth! Entermate Pendulum Magician!" Yuya shouted as a magician clad in red appeared from a bright light that shot out of the portal in the sky. The magician was holding a pendulum in it's hand that was similar to Yuya's.

Entermate Pendulum Magician (1500/800) LVL: 4

"Pendulum Magician's effect activates! When this card is special summoned, I can destroy up to 2 cards on my field and for each card destroyed, I can add a Pendulum monster from my deck to my hand! I choose to destroy my remaining Hippo Token to add 1 Pendulum monster from my deck to my hand!" Yuya explained as the last token dispersed while a card popped out of his duel disk.

"So that's why you didn't normal summon it instead..." Playmaker realized.

"Let's go! I activate the Spell Card, Fusion!" Yuya shouted as he activated the generic fusion spell.

"Fusion?" Playmaker repeated with a surprised tone.

"I fuse Entermate Pendulum Magician and Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Magician of swaying light! Become a bright light and dwell in the eyes of the dragon! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Arcane dragon wielder of ancient magic, Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as a new Fusion monster appeared in the Extra Monster zone. The monster was a red dragon similar to Odd Eyes. Instead of horns, the dragon had a small yellow ring on it's head and had an extremely large ring on it's back. The dragon also had a sharp black tail and a golden patch over it's red eye.

Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon (3000/2500) LVL:8

"Your dragon evolved into a Fusion monster..." Playmaker said, not expecting this development.

"That's right! Let's show them your true power, Rune Eyes! Battle! Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Excode Talker! Continuous Shiny Burst!" Yuya shouted. A shinning blue orb appeared at the top of large ring as the dragon jumped high in the air and shot a stream of blue energy at the green armored Code Talker, causing a explosion that made Playmaker brace himself.

PLAYMAKER: 3800-3600 LP

"Tch...due to Excode Talker leaving the field, Transcode Talker's ATK returns to normal." Playmaker said.

Transcode (3300)-(2300)

"I'm not done! The number of attacks Rune Eyes can make per Battle Phase depends on the Level of it's Magician-type Fusion Material! Since Pendulum Magician is level 4, Rune Eye's effect allows it to attack twice since my magician's level was 4 or lower!" Yuya explained with a smile.

"Another attack...at this rate...!" Playmaker said as he looked at Transcode Talker.

"Go, Rune Eyes! Attack Transcode Talker! Continuous Shiny Burst!" Yuya shouted as the dragon shot another blue stream of energy from it's ring that obliterated the remaining Link Monster. Due to the greater different in ATK then before, a larger explosion was created which forced Playmaker a few feet backwards.

PLAYMAKER: 3600-2900 LP

"When I take battle damage...I can special summon Interrupt Resistor from my hand and it's ATK becomes equal to the amount fo damage I just took!" Playmaker countered as a monster in white armor that had green energy running through it appeared.

Interrupt Resistor (700/2100) LVL: 6

"Even though I took out your monsters and dealt damage to you, you still managed to find a way to adapt to the situation! Amazing!" Yuya praised.

"After all I've been through, if I didn't learn to adapt and counter my opponent's moves, I wouldn't have survived..." Playmaker said as he thought of all of the times he's had to duel for the fates of countless others along with his own.

"Yeah, I know the feeling..." Yuya said as he lost his smile for a brief moment. He though of the countless duels that he had gone through against Academia that if he had lost, he would have been sealed into a card. Playmaker looked at the boy's expression, realizing there was much more to his opponent than him just being a fun loving entertainment duelist.

"Yuya, are you ok?" Yugo asked as he appeared next to Yuya.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Yuya reassured his counterpart.

"I know what you are thinking about. I know you see the same thing inside this boy as well." Yuto said as he also appeared.

"But the difference is that you only dueled like him when you had to while it seems like he has been dueling to survive for so long, he can't duel any otherway." Yuri said as he appeared with the other counterparts.

"That's right...that's why I'll show him how to truly enjoy dueling! I'll help him find his true smile!" Yuya said with a determined smile.

"Who are you talking to?" Playmaker asked as he overheard Yuya talking about something.

"Uh, it's nothing..." Yuya nervously laughed before regaining his composure. "Turn End! Don't hold back, Playmaker! Come at me with your full strength!"

'I can't underestimate him...despite his style, his dueling is quite effective...' Playmaker thought to himself before beginning his turn. "My turn! I summon Cyberse Gadget!"

Link 3! Powercode Talker!" Playmaker shouted as a red armored Code Talker appeared in the empty Extra Monster Zone. The monster had a cyan colored energy claw attached to it's armor above it's right hand.

"Another one..." Yuya said with a worried tone.

"Cyberse Gadget's second effect activates! When this card leaves the field, I can summon a Gadget Token!" Playmaker explained as a small white and red machine appeared in the zone that Powercode's Bottom Left arrow was pointing to.

"Next, Micro Coder's effect activates! When used as Link Material while on the field, I can add a level 4 Cyberse monster from my deck to my hand!" Playmaker yelled as a card popped out of his duel disk. "Battle! Powercode Talker, attack Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Playmaker shouted.

"What?! But Rune Eyes has higher ATK!" Yuya yelled.

"At this moment, Powercode Talker's effect activates! By releasing the Gadget Token that this card points to, Powercode's ATK double during this battle!" Playmaker shouted as the small machine dispersed into light causing the Code Talker to power up.

"4-4600?!" Yuya shouted in shock.

The red armored Code Talker shot it's cyan colored energy claw at the Fusion dragon which hooked on to it's body. The line attached to the claw caused Powercode to rocket towards the dragon.

"Break through! Power Termination Smash!" Playmaker shouted as his Code Talker smashed into the dragon with it's fist, causing a huge explosion that sent Yuya backwards.

"Gah!" Yuya let out as he hit the ground.

"I set one card facedown, turn end." Playmaker concluded.

"Heh...that was a pretty good move...but I'm still going to win! The fun has just begun! My turn!" Yuya smiled as he drew. "With the set scale, Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! From my hand, Entermate U-Golem! And returning from the extra deck, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

Two bright lights shot out of the portal revealing Yuya's ace being in the Extra Monster zone along with a fiend being in his center Main Monster zone. It's body looked like two u's put together and it had a very creepy face.

"In my world, Pendulum isn't restricted by these rules, but that doesn't matter! Being challenged makes this duel even more fun!" Yuya exclaimed.

"He sure is interesting..." Playmaker said to himself.

"Let's do this! Entermate U-Golem's effect activates! During the turn this card was Pendulum Summoned, I can perform a Fusion Summon with monsters on my field including this card! I fuse Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Entermate U-Golem!" Yuya shouted as the two rose into the fusion vortex.

"Another Fusion Summon...!"

"Dragon with dichromatic eyes! Become one with the giant born from soil and revive as a new race! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Entermate Gatlinghoul!" Yuya shouted. A green skinned fiend in a suit with yellow eyes and a top hat appeared. The fiend was holding a large gatling gun.

There are 5 cards on the field! Therefore, you take 1000 damage!" Yuya exclaimed as his monster fired multiple bullets directly at the Cyberse user, causing him to get knocked back multiple feet.

"Grr..." Playmaker grunted.

"It's not over! Gatlinghoul's second effect activates! Since a level 5 or higher monster was used as a Fusion, material, Gatlinghoul's effect can destroy a monster on your field! Then, you take damage equal to it's ATK!" Yuya explained with a confident smirk.

"What?!" Playmaker shouted.

"Go, Gatlinghoul! Destroy Powercode Talker!" Yuya pointed at the red Code Talker as his monster shot a barrage of bullets at it.

"I won't lose like this! Trap Activate! Link Cancel! By returning Powercode Talker to my extra deck, I can special summon it's Link Materials that are in my graveyard! Come back! Interrupt Resistor, Cyberse Gadget, and Micro Coder in defense position!" Playmaker countered as his monster split into three hurricanes of energy which caused the bullets to miss. The hurricanes of energy landed in Playmaker's three center Main Monster Zones revealing his 3 monsters.

"That was a clever way to dodge defeat. But I can still attack! Battle! Gatlinghoul, attack Interrupt Resistor!" Yuya commanded as his monster fired a blast of energy bullets at the Cyberse monster, destroying it.

"Tch..." Playmaker clicked his tongue.

"Turn End! You're very strong, Playmaker. But I can tell you have much more hidden up your sleeve. Show me your true strength!" Yuya shouted at Playmaker who perked up as he heard this.

"Yuya, are you sure provoking him is a good idea?" Yugo asked his Pendulum counterpart.

"I've dueled guys like him before. The only way to truly understand him and to help him have fun is to draw out all of his power." Yuya explained to the blue and yellow haired spirit.

"But that only works if he doesn't defeat you in the process." Yuri reminded the entertainment duelist.

"Hehe yeah..." Yuya nervously chuckled.

"If you truly want to see my strength, I'll show it to you right now! My turn!" Playmaker shouted with a serious expression as he drew.

"He's getting even more serious..." Yuto noticed.

"Appear, the circuit that leads to the future! Arrow heads confirmed! The summoning conditions is 1 level 2 or lower monster! I set Micro Coder into the Link Marker! Link Summon! Come forth! Link 1! Talkback Lancer!" Playmaker yelled as a smaller version of Playmaker's code talkers appeared in his Extra Monster zone. The monster was blue, green, and yellow and carried a lance.

"Next, Micro Coder's effect activates! When used as Link Material while on the field, I can add a level 4 Cyberse monster from my deck to my hand! Talkback Lancer's effect activates! By releasing one Cyberse monster on my field, I can revive it next to the zone this card points to! I release Cyberse Gadget! Revive, Transcode Talker!" Playmaker yelled. As the machine disappeared, Playmaker's Link monster held up a banner from it's Lance. Then, a portal appeared in the zone that Talkback's bottom arrow was pointing to and Transcode Talker jumped out of it.

"He didn't revive Excode Talker..." Yuya said with a confused tone. He was sure that his opponent was trying to pull off the same co-linked strategy he performed a few turns ago. 'That Kuriboh must have some sort of effect that will be valuable to him later...'

"Next, I summon Clock Wyvern!" Playmaker shouted as a small dragon with light purple armor and wings appearednext to his Gadget Token.

"Clock Wyvern's effect activates! When this card is summoned, by halving it's ATK, I can summon a Clock Token to my field!" Playmaker explained as his monster weaker while a purple crystal appeared next to the dragon.

"He has 6 monsters on his field..." Yuya's eyes widened.

"Appear, the circuit that leads to the future! Arrowheads confirmed! The summoning conditions are 2 Cyberse monsters! I set Talkback Lancer, Clock Token, and Gadget Token into the Link Markers! Link Summon! Come forth! Link 3! Shootingcode Talker!" Playmaker yelled. A light blue colored Code Talker appeared in Playmaker's Extra Monster zone in place of Talkback Lancer which was just used for it's summon. The Code Talker had light blue wings and carried a yellow bow for it's weapon which had a light blue arrow.

"Another Code Talker..." Yuya uttered.

"That's true. But I won't be overpowering you with these monsters!" Playmaker told the Pendulum user causing him to become worried.

"What do you mean?!" Yuya nervously asked.

"Let's go! Appear once more, the circuit that leads to the future!" Playmaker shouted as the link circuit appeared again. "The summoning conditions are 2 or more effect monsters! I set Clock Wyvern and the Link 3 Shooting Code Talker into the Link Markers!"

Suddenly, the small dragon turned into a single hurricane of nervy that flew into the top arrow while Shootingcode turned into 3 hurricanes of energy that flew into the left, right, and bottom arrows.

"A L-Link 4 monster?!" Yuya shouted in a mix of awe andworry.

"Seize the wind that connects to the unseen world! LINK SUMMON! Come forth, Link 4! Accesscode Talker!" Playmaker exclaimedas he pumped his fist into the air. In his Extra Monster zone, a new Code Talker appeared in a storm of purple wind. The Link Monster had white and golden armor with purple energy running through it. The Code Talker carried a large golden lance that had a long silver handle.

"Amazing..." Yuya's eyes widened in awe at the sight of the Link Monster.

"Accesscode Talker's effect activates! It gains 1000ATK times the Link Rating of one of it's materials! I choose the Link 3 Shootingcode Talker! Therefore, Accesscode Talker gains 3000 ATK!" Playmaker exclaimed as his monster powered up.

"And due to Transcode Talker's effect, since these two monsters are co-linked, they gain 500 ATK!"

"5800 ATK..." Yuya's eyes widened in shock.

"I activate the Spell Card, Cyberse Cache! Since I control a Cyberse monster with a higher ATK than it's original, I draw 2! Let's go! Accesscode Talker's effect activates! By banishing a Link monster in my graveyard, I can destroy a card on your field! And I can keep using this effect as long as I don't banish monsters with the same Attributes as the ones already banished this turn!" Playmaker explained.

"W-What?!" Yuya shouted.

"I banish the EARTH attribute Link Spider to destroy Gatling Ghoul! Access Intergration!" Playmaker yelled as his Code Talker threw it's lance directly at the Fusion Monster, destroying it which caused a shockwave that made Yuya flinch.

"Damn it...!" Yuya grunted.

"Accesscode Talker's effect activates! I banish the DARK attribute Code Talker to destroy your Stargazer Magician! Access Integration!" Playmaker exclaimed as his Link 4 monster threw it's lance at the magician cloaked in white.

"Stargazer!" Yuya shouted as the white magician bursted after being hit by the lance.

"Accesscode Talker's effect activates again! I banish the WATER Attribute Shootingcode Talker to destroy Timegazer Magician! Access Integration!" Playmaker yelled as his monster threw it's lance at the magician cloaked in brown, destroying it.

"Timegazer!" Yuya shouted as his other magician was destroyed.

"Now you have nothing on your field! This is the end! Battle! Accesscode Talker, Direct Attack!" Playmaker commanded. His Code Talker flew forward and towers over Yuya. The Link monster's lance was glowing in a bright golden light which blinded Yuya. "Finish it! Access Conclusion!"

The monster thrusted it's shinning lance forward at the panicking Yuya.

But then, Yuya's panicking face calmed down and turned into a smile. "You're good, Playmaker. But I'm not done just fighting just yet! I activate the effect of Entermate Kuribohble in my hand!"

Suddenly, a Kuriboh appeared with red and green hat that had a star on it's tip.

"When my opponent's monster declares a direct attack, I can special summon this guy from my hand and change the attack target to him!" Yuya explained as he smiled.

"Even so, you'll still lose from the battle damage! Go, Accesscode Talker! Attack Entermate Kuribohble! Access Conclusion!" Playmaker exclaimed as the monster thrusted it made shinning lance forward, destroying the Kuriboh which caused a huge explosion that consumed Yuya.

But as the smoke cleared, Yuya was standing tall and was covered in a green aura.

"What?!" Playmaker shouted in disbelief.

"Kuribohble's effect let's me gain Life Points instead of taking damage when attacked after being summoned through it's effect!" Yuya explained as his smile widened.

"Tch...but the battle isn't over! Transcode Talker, Direct Attack!" Playmaker commanded his orange colored Code Talker. The Link 3 monster combined pieces of it's armor on it's back, creating a cannon that was charging orange energy. "Go! Transcode Finish!"

The cannon fired a blast of orange energy that consumed Yuya, causing an explosion that sent him flying backwards.

"GAAH!"

"Linkuriboh, Direct Attack!" Playmaker shouted as the Kuriboh rushed forward and hit Yuya in the stomach after getting up from the previous attack, moving him backwards a few centimeters.

"Damn it...even though I managed to bring out Accesscode Talker, he still managed to survive and even gain more life points..." Playmaker thought with a slightly nervous expression. He seriously didn't expect Yuya to be giving him this much trouble.

"That move was awesome, Playmaker! If I didn't use Kuribohble, I would've been a goner!" Yuya laughed.

"...You are enjoying this duel." Playmaker said which caused Yuya to blink in confusion.

"Of course I am! I've never fought someone using such a method! This duel is has been a blast so far!" Yuya smiled.

"Hmm...Turn end." Playmaker concluded.

"Let go! The fun has just begun! My turn!" Yuya shouted as he drew. He looked at his card for a moment before looking to his side where his Fusion Counterpart appeared.

"You need some help?" Yuri asked.

"Yeah." Yuya nodded.

"Then by all means, Starving Venom is always hungry for battle." Yuri smirked.

"Thanks." Yuya said to his Fusion counterpart before turning to his opponent. "Get ready, Playmaker. Because you haven't seen anything yet!"

"So he's finally getting serious..." Playmaker uttered.

"I activate the Spell Card, Amazing Pendulum! While I have no cards in my Pendulum Zone, I can add two Pendulum monsters form my extra deck to my hand! Next, with the Scale 1 Stargazer Magician, and the Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya exclaimed as his magicians returned to the blue columns.

"Now, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 2 through 8 once more! Swing Pendulum! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! Return to from the extra deck, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Entermate U-Golem! And from my hand, Entermate Silver Claw!" Yuya shouted as 3 light shot out of portal in the sky. The red dragon appeared in the zone that Accesscode's top arrow was pointing to, U-Golem appeared in the empty Extra Monster Zone, and the newly summoned girl in a purple outfit appeared in Yuya's center Main Monster zone next to Odd Eyes.

"Another Fusion...!" Playmaker said.

"Prideful silver wolf! Become one with the giant born from soil and point to a new path! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuya shouted as a new monster appeared in his Extra Monster zone. The monster was a purple dragon with a large green tail that extended outwards from it's lower body. It had multiple yellow and red orbs on it's body. The dragon also had yellow horns and eyes along with purple and green vines protruding from it's body that had mouths of their own. The dragon appeared with a loud snarl that turned into a ferocious roar.

Starve Venom Fusion Dragon (2800/2000) LVL:8

As Starve Venom hit the field, both itself and Odd Eyes roared in unison, being happy to be on the field with each other.

"Another dragon...!" Playmaker uttered as he gazed at the ferocious beast of a dragon.

"About time you bring my precious dragon out." Yuri said with a satisfied smile.

"Starve Venom Fusion Dragon's effect activates! When this card is Fusion Summoned using monsters on the field as Fusion Materials, this card gains ATK equal to the combined ATKs of all special summoned monsters on your field!" Yuya exclaimed.

"Such an effect!" Playmaker shouted in disbelief.

"Now show them your beautiful power, Starve Venom!" The dragon extended outthe vines on it's back as thedragon began to absorb the energy of Playmaker's monsters. Pink energy shot out of the monsters and enveloped the roots on the dragon's back, causing a beautiful yet terrifying spectacle.

Starve Venom (2800/2000)-(11700/2000)

"11700 ATK...!" Playmaker said in shock.

"I'm not done yet! I activate the Spell Card, Spiral Strike Burst! While I control an Odd Eyes monster, one card on your field is destroyed! I choose...Linkuriboh!" Yuya pointed at the smallest Link Monster as Odd Eyes shot a powerful red blast that destroyed it.

"So you figured out Linkuriboh has an effect that would protect me...not bad..." Playmaker said with a somewhat impressed tone.

"Hehe thanks! Now, let's do this! Starve Venom Fusion Dragon, attack Accesscode Talker and end this duel!" Yuya shouted as his monster extended it's dark roots outwards. The roots wrapped around the white Code Talker leaving it defenseless. The dragon then fired a green blast of energy directly at the paralyzed Link monster. The blast consumed the white Code Talker and shot directly towards Playmaker.

"I...refuse to lose! Rescue Interlacer's effect in my hand activates! By discarding this card when a Cyberse monster is attacked, the damage I would take is reduced to 0!" Playmaker counteredas a pink barrier formed around him from the blast.

"So you had a card like that...but at this moment, Transcode loses ATK since it is no longer co-linked!" Yuya shouted as Transcode's effect ended.

"Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Transcode Talker!Spiral Strike Burst!" Yuya yelled as his dragon incinerated the orange Code Talker with it's attack which caused a shockwave to make Playmaker flinch.

"Damn it..." Playmaker grunted in anger.

"Alright! Good job, my dragons! Turn End!" Yuya concluded with a smile.

"During the end phase of the turn Rescue Interlacer's effect was used, I can special summon it from the graveyard!" Playmaker shouted the the pink and white robot appeared.

"My dueling never loses...That's why I'll win this duel! My turn..." Playmaker said with a determined look in his eyes as he gripped the top card of his deck. "...Draw!"

"This guy is intense..." Yugo commented.

"Did it take you this long to realize that, Fusion?" Yuri said with a grin.

"I'm Yugo! Not Fusion! After all this time, you still call me that!" Yugo angrily shouted.

"Let's go! I activate the Equip Spell, Cynet Defrag! This card allows me to special summon a Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster in my graveyard and then I equip it with this card! Be reborn, Clock Wyvern!" Yusaku yelled as the small purple dragon returned.

"Clock Wyvern's effect activates! When this card is summoned, by halving it's ATK, I can summon a Clock Token to my field!" Playmaker explained as his monster weaker while a purple crystal appeared next to the dragon.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Cynet Fusion!" Playmaker shouted as he slammed the card onto his duel disk.

"Eh?! You know how to use other summoning methods besides Link Summoning?!" Yuya said in a surprised tone. He honestly assumed that his opponent only used Link Monsters.

"This card lets me perform a Fusion Summon using monsters in my hand or on my field! But if I don't control a monster in my Extra Monster zone, I can banish 1 Cyberse Link monster in my graveyard and use it as Fusion Material! I banish Accesscode Talker!" Playmaker yelled as the spirit of the Link 4 Code Talker and purple dragon turned into particles that began to swirl into a more cybernetic version of the Fusion vortex.

"He's banishing his Link monster for a Fusion Summon?!"

"The strong ones gather before its grand wings! Become a new legend! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Cyberse Clock Dragon!" Playmaker yelled. A large dragon with a purple crystal-like body and sharp black and grey armor appeared. The dragon had glimmering yellow wings and a large purple and black tail.

"Woah...!" Yuya uttered in amazement at the sight of the dragon.

"Cyberse Clock Dragon's effect activates! When this card is Fusion Summoned, I can send card from the top of my deck to the graveyard equal to the Link Ratings of it's Fusion Materials! Since Accesscode Talker was a Link 4 monster, I send 4 cards to the graveyard! Then, Clock Dragon gains 1000 ATK for each card sent to the graveyard!" Playmaker explained.

"What?!" Yuya shouted.

"4 cards were sent, so Cyberse Clock Dragon gains 4000 ATK! Cyberse Clock Up!" Playmaker exclaimed as his dragon roared loudly while powering up.

"That's not good!" Yugo gulped.

"Next, I activate another copy of the Spell Card, Cyberse Cache! Since Clock Dragon has a higher ATK than it's original, I draw 2! Battle! Cyberse Clock Dragon, attack Starve Venom Fusion Dragon! Pulse Pressure!"

The dragon charged blast in it's mouth before firing an explosive stream of purple energy towards the opposing Fusion Dragon.

"Not bad, Playmaker. But not good enough! Trap Activate! Last Minute Cancel! All monsters on my field are switched to Defense Mode!"

The powerful purple blast obliterated the Fusion Dragon, causing a powerful explosion that made Yuya brace himself. But suddenly, a puddle of venom appeared where Starve Venom originally was.

"What is this?!" Playmaker questioned.

"Starve Venom's final effect activates! When this card is destroyed, all special summoned monsters on my opponents field are destroyed! Then, you take damage equal to the destroyed monster's ATK!" Yuya explained as a wave of venom launch directly at the dragon.

"Tch...Quick Play Spell, Cynet Backdoor! I can banish one Cyberse monster on my field and then I can add one Cyberse monster with less ATK from my deck to my hand! I banish Cyberse Clock Dragon to add Cyberse Synchron to my hand!" Playmaker explained as his dragkn dissapeared, barely dodging the venom while a card popped out of his deck.

"Did he say Synchron?!" Yugo shouted.

"I set one card facedown, Turn End." Playmaker concluded.

"My turn! With the Set Scale, Pendulum Summon! Come out, my monsters! From my extra deck, Entermate Pendulum Magician! And from my hand, Entermate Drago Remora!" Yuya shouted as two lights shot out do the portal revealing the red magician in the Extra Monster zone and the small yellow dragon with a coin on it's head in the center main monster zone.

"Yugo?" Yuya asked his Synchro counterpart.

"Of course! Go for it!" Yugo shouted as he raised his fist up in excitement.

"Entermate Odd Eyes Synchron effect lets me perform a Synchro Summon using itself and a card from Pendulum Zone!" Yuya shouted as he pointed at Stargazer Magician.

"What?!"

"I tune my level 5 Stargazer Magician with my level 2 Odd Eyes Synchron!" Yuya shouted as the magician flew out of the Pendulum and Odd Eyes Synchron became the green rings that flew around the white magician. "Spread those wondrous and beautiful wings and strike down our enemies at light speed! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!"

The Synchro monster was a white dragon with blue armor and green crystal like wings with a large white tail instead of legs. The dragon flew through the air before landing in the Extra Monster zone.

Similar to when Yuya's Fusion Dragon was on the field, Clear Wing and Odd Eyes began to roar in sync.

The red dragon jumped up in the air and shot a red blast that destroyed the link and white robot.

"Alright, let's finish this! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, Direct Attack-!"

"Trap Activate! Recoded Alive! While I have no monsters in my Extra Deck zone, I can banish one Code Talker in my graveyard to special summon a Code Talker from my extra deck! I banish Decode Talker! Come forth! Link 3! Powercode Talker!" Playmaker yelled as the red armored Code Talker returned.

"Summoning a monster from the Extra Deck with a Trap...amazing! But my dragon can still destroy it! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Powercode Talker! Whirlwind Helldive Slasher!" Yuya commanded as his dragon flew high in the air as it's beautiful green wings began to glow. The dragon surrounded itself with green energy and flew downwards at great speeds, smashing into the Code Talker and destroying it.

"Grrraaah...!" Playmaker grunted trying to stay upwards, but the force of the shockwave knocked him backwards and onto the ground.

"Alright! That concludes my turn!" Yuya said as he bowed.

"Damn it..." Playmaker grunted as he got up and glared at Yuya. "I won't give up! This duel isn't decided just yet!"

"Heh. Let's go, Playmaker!" Yuya shouted at his opponent with a smile.

"My turn, draw! At this moment, Cynet Backdoor's effect activates! Cyberse Clock Dragon returns to my field!" Playmaker shouted as the purple dragon returned with a loud roar. This time, the dragon appeared in Playmaker's center Main Monster zone.

"Next, I summon Widget Kid!" Playmaker shouted as he summoned as a boy in white and blue clothing with a ray gun appeared.

"Due to Widget Kid's effect, when summoned, I can special summon a Cyberse monster from my hand! Come, the tuner monster, Cyberse Synchron!" Playmaker yelled as a small circular white and blue monster appeared.

"Cyberspace Synchron's effect activates! I can target a level 4 or lower Cybers monster on my field and increase it's level by it's original level! I target Widget Kid!" Playmaker exclaimed as his monster's level doubled.

"Here it comes!" Yugo said.

"I tune my level 6 Widget Kid with my level 1 Cyberse Synchron!" Yusaku shouted pointing to the sky. Both do his monster dematerialized into data that flowed into multiple rings. The numbers 1 and 6 appeared on digital platforms and then combined into 7.

"Link...then Fusion...now Synchro...!" Yuya uttered in amazement.

"Flash of lightning! The unknown power transforms into a soaring dragon! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Cyberse Quantum Dragon!" Playmaker roared as a new dragon appeared in his extra monster zone. A dragon with a clear blue body and silverish white armor appeared with a loud roar. That dragon had blue spikes on it's shoulders and knees. The dragon has a large silver tail and blue hands with yellow claws. The dragon had silver armored wings with blue tips. The dragon flew in the air before landing in the Extra Monster zone.

"What a dragon...!" Yuya said in awe.

"Battle! Cyberse Quantum Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Playmaker commanded.

"What?! But Clear Wing has a higher ATK!" Yuya said in a confused tone.

"At this moment, Quantum Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, when this card battles another monster, the opposing monster is returned to the hand! Driveback Shot!" Playmaker shouted as the dragon surrounded itself with blue energy.

"Clever move...but it won't work! At this moment, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's effect activates! When a level 5 or higher monster activates an effect, that effect is negated and that card is destroyed! Then, Clear Wing gains ATK equal to the destroyed monster's ATK!" Yuya explained.

"What?!" Playmaker shouted in shock.

"Go, Dichroic Mirror!" Yuya called out as the dragon shot as green energy shot out of it's wings that stopped the dragon from advancing and consumed it.

"I...am not done yet! Cyberse Synchron's effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing this card from my graveyard, I can prevent a monster in my Extra Monster Zone from being destroyed!" Playmaker countered as the dragon broke out of the binding green light.

"But the attack must continue! And Clear Wing's ATK is still higher! Counterattack! Whirlwind Helldive Slasher!" Yuya shouted as the dragon was enveloped in a green aura once more as it charged at the opposing Synchro monster.

"Your moves are impressive...but I won't give up fighting! Quick Play Spell, Cyberse Pride activate! When my Cyberse monster battles, it cannot be destroyed by battles this turn! And since my monster's ATK is lower, by paying life points equal to the difference of ATK between our monsters, my monsters gains that ATK!" Playmaker shouted.

"That means...!" Yuya said as he realized what the outcome of the battle would be.

"By paying 500 life points...!" Playmaker began as he knelt down in pain while his life points dropped into the red.

"...Cyberse Quantum Dragon gains 500 ATK!" Playmaker exclaimed as his dragon roared while powering up.

"Go, Quantum Encryption!" Playmaker commanded as his dragon shot a blast of black and purple energy directly at Clear Wing, consuming it. This caused a beautiful show of green, purple, and black light that ended in Clear Wing getting overpowered and destroyed.

"Ghh..." Yuya grunted as he was hit by a powerful shockwave.

"Due to Cynet Backdoor's effect, the monster banished and summoned through this card's effect can attack directly this turn!" Playmaker shouted while pointing directly at Yuya.

"E-Eh?!" Yuya gasped in shock.

"Cyberse Clock Dragon, Direct Attack! Pulse Pressure!" Playmaker commanded as his dragon shot a blast of electrifying purple energy directly at Yuya.

"GAAAAH!" Yuya shouted as he was consumed by the blast, causing a huge explosion that knocked him backwards.

"I set one card facedown, Turn End." Playmaker concluded.

"Damn it...now if he uses another direct attack, I'm finished...hehehe!" Yuya said before laughing.

"What? Why are you laughing?" Playmaker asked.

"Because this duel has been a lot of fun, Playmaker!" Yuya said with a excited tone.

"Fun?" Playmaker repeated. Even though Yuya was in a bad situation, he didn't even seem worried. Did he have a plan to counterattack?

"Alright! My turn, Draw!" Yuya shoutedas he drew.He thenlooked at his dragon and smiled. "Monkeyboard's Pendulum Effect! I add a level 4 or lower Entermate to my hand! Alright, Odd Eyes! Let's finish this duel! Battle! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Cyberse Clock Dragon and end this duel! Spiral Strike Burst!"

His dragon jumped high in the air before shooting a powerful fiery red blast directly at the Fusion dragon.

"Quick Play Spell, Security Block! By targeting one Cyberse monster on my field, the target can't be destroyed and the damage is reduced to 0!" Playmaker countered as the attack hit a barrier that formed around the dragon.

"I knew you wouldn't let this duel end so easily. I switch Drago Remora to defense mode."

"I set one card facedown, Turn End." Yuya concluded.

"I'm ending this! My turn! Battle! Cyber Quantum Dragon, attack Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! At this moment, Cyberse Quantum Dragon's effect activates! Driveback Shot!" Playmaker yelled as his dragon sent Odd Eyes back to the hand. "And due to Cyberse Quantum Dragon's effect, it can attack in a row! Attack Drago Remora! Quantum Encryption!"

"Tch..." Yuya clicked his tongue has his yellow dragon was engulfed by the purple and black blast.

"This is the end! Cyberse Clock Dragon, Direct Attack! Pulse Pressure!" Playmaker yelled as his dragon fired another purple blast directly at Yuya.

"I won't lose that easily! Trap Activate! Entermate Call! The direct attack is negated! Then, I add 2 Entermates from my deck to my hand with combined DEFs that are equal to the ATK of Clock Dragon!" Yuya shouted as 2 cards popped out of his duel disk while a barrier protected him.

"Damn...I set one card facedown, turn end." Playmaker concluded.

"Let's go! The fun has just begun! My turn!" Yuya shouted with a wide smile as he drew. "Alright! I activate the Spell Card, Entermate Cast Change! By shuffling Entermates monsters in my hand back into my deck, I can draw the same amount plus 1! I shuffle the 4 of the Entermates I just added to my hand earlier...to draw 5 cards!"

"A 5 card draw..."

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with level 4 through 7! Swing Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! From my extra deck, Entermate U-Golem! And from my hand, Entermate Uni! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as he pointed to the sky while 3 lights shot out of the portal. The coin dragon appeared in the Extra Monster zone while his ace dragon appeared in his center Main Monster zone due to being summoned from the hand this time.

A new female Entermate appeared in his center right Main Monster zone below Drago Remora. The monster was a girl with blonde hair and pink bangs. She had white clothing outlined in green and had bright blue eyes. She also had a horn on the top of her hand.

"Yuto!" Yuya turned to the spirit of his Xyz counterpart.

"I understand! Let's go, Yuya!" Yuto encouragingly shouted.

"Thanks. Now, let the show begin! I overlay the level 4 Entermate Uni and Entermate Drago Remora!" Yuya shouted as his two Entermates turned into energy that flew high in the air before flying into the overlay network. Then, a burst of electricity shot out. "Fangs of pitch-black darkness! Rise up against the foolish oppression! Descend now! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

Out of the lightning that shot out of the overlay network, a new menacing dragon appeared. The dragon's skin was purple with hints of turquoise throughout it's body. The dragon had pitch-black armor on it's body and wings and had a red chest plate. The dragon also had a long purple neck that had a turquoise streak at the bottom. It had silver claws and a silver blade at the end of it's long purple tail. It had black mechanical wings that had purple orbs on it's armor and silver horns on it's head with a black fang hanging from it's chin. The dragon also had piercing golden eyes. It flew in the air before landing in the Extra Monster Zone.

"Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's effect activates! By using an overlay unit, I can target a level 5 or higher monster on your field and it loses halfof it's ATK while Dark Rebellion gains ATK equal to the lost amount!"Yuya shouted

"What?!" Playmaker shouted in shock.

"I target Quantum Dragon! Do it, Dark Rebellion! Treason Discharge!" Yuya shouted as the purple overlayunit was consumed by the dragon. The purple orbs on the dragon's wings beganto glow as the mechanical wings began to extend outwards. Purple electricity shot out of both wings that flew through the air and wrapped around the Cyberse Synchro dragon.

"Battle! Let's go! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Cyberse Quantum Dragon! Spiral Strike Burst!" Yuya commanded as his dragon jumped up into the air and shot a powerful red blast directly at Quantum Dragon.

"Cyberse Quantum Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, when this card battles, the opposing monster is sent back to the hand! Driveback Shot!" Playmaker countered as his Drago appeared through the red blast and charged through the dragon mid air, causing it to disperse into particles.

"But that effect can't be activated again! Therefore, Dark Rebellion's attack won't be stopped! End this, Dark Rebellion! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Yuyashouted as his dragon's wings were enveloped in a blue and purple glow while the dragonfang glowed brightly purple. The dragon then flew forward at great speeds, driving it's fang upward towards the opposing dragon.

"Trap Activate! Cure Conversion! When a monster on my field is attacked, by releasing the attacked monster, the battle phase is forced to end!" Playmaker shouted as his dragon dispersed into particles, causing the attack to miss.

"What?!" Yuya shouted.

"Then, I can draw a card! And if it's a monster card, I gain life points equal to the monster's ATK! Draw!" Playmaker shouted as he drew and then immediately looked at his card.

"Did he get it?!" Yugo asked with a nervous tone.

"The card was the monster card, Parrallel eXceed! Since this monster has 2000 ATK, I gain 2000 life points!" Playmaker shouted as his body glowed green while he was healed.

"Just our luck..." Yuri sighed.

"He's evened out our life point difference..." Yuya said as he looked down, causing darkness to cover his eyes.

"Have you finally given up?" Playmaker asked Yuya.

"...HAHAHAHAHA!" Yuya looked up and bursted into laughter.

"Why the hell are you laughing?" Playmaker asked with an annoyed tone.

"This duel is so much fun! I can't help it! Your keep challenging me and you keep pushing me further more and more! Haven't you ever felt this way while dueling." Yuya asked Playmaker.

Playmaker froze for a second and though to himself. Ever since the lost incident, he hasn't really truly enjoyed dueling. It was just a way for him to accomplish his goals, nothing more. The last time he remembers cracking a smile during a duel was his last match agains Revolver when he was evil. But back then, he had Ai. Now...he is alone.

"To answer your question...not in a long time." Playmaker spoke.

"Then it's my job to help you have fun and smile during this duel!" Yuya exclaimed.

"Why?" Playmaker asked.

"As an entertainment duelist, it's my goal to help everyone learn to smile and have fun while dueling!" Yuya explained.

"...But none of that matters! Take your turn!" Playmaker shouted at Yuya.

"I set one card facedown, turn end." Yuya concluded.

"You still haven't gotten to him yet." Yuto said.

"I know, but I will!" Yuya said with a determined look before continuing his turn. "I set one card facedown, turn end! At this moment, Dark Rebellion's ATK returns to normal."

"Your dueling skills are quite admirable, but I'm going to finish this duel! My turn, draw!" Playmaker shouted with a determined tone as he drew. "From my hand, I summon ROM Cloudia!"

"ROM Cloudia's effect activates! When this card is normal summoned, I can add a Cyberse monster from my graveyard to my hand! I add Latency back to my hand which was sent to the graveyard by the effect of Cyberse Clock Dragon! Next, Latency's effect activates in my hand! When this card is added back to my hand, I can special summon it!" Playmaker shouted as a pink robot carrying an hourglass appeared.

Playmaker yelled as a warrior in golden armor that was carrying a sword and a shield appeared. The warrior's armor had a large green X on it while his shield also had a green X emblem on it.

"Parallel eXceed's effect in my hand activates! When I successfully Link Summon, I can special summon this card from my hand!" Playmaker shouted as a small white and black dragon with a long body and two wings appeared. The dragon had a blue X emblem on it's head.

"With these two level 4 Parallel eXceeds, I build the overlay network!" Playmaker shouted as he waved his arms before a spark of blue electricity shot out of his duel disk and into the air. The spark exploded and turned into a blue X in the sky. The two dragons turned into blue particles that flew into the X causing it to glow vibrantly.

"Xyz too?!" Yuya shouted.

The blue X shot beams or light from each of it's four corners causing a blue cybernetic overlay network to appear. The particles of the two monsters inside the overlay network merged together causing a new dragon to manifest.

"The wall of power that annihilates everything! Manifest as the dragon's fang! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! Firewall eXceed Dragon!" Playmaker shouted as a new dragon manifested out of the overlay network. The cybernetic dragon was white with dark blue armor around it's body. The dragon had spiky shoulder and knee armor that had pink energy stripes. It had blue hands and feet with red claws and had a long blue tail. The dragon had four blades protruding from it's back armor that were shaped in an X which were it's wings. It had a blue X on the tops of it's head and red eyes. Two orange overlay units flew around the dragon as it flew through the air and appeared in the zone Exslayer's bottom link pointed to which was next to Clock Dragon.

"Woah...!" Yuya uttered in amazement at the sight of the dragon's summon.

"I'm ending this duel this turn! Firewall eXceed Dragon's effect activates! This card gains 500 ATK times the Link Ratings of Link Monsters that point to this card! Since the Link 2 Exslayer's bottom arrow point to this card, Firewall eXceed Dragon gains 1000 ATK!" Playmaker exclaimed as his dragon powered up.

"It's stronger than Dark Rebellion..." Yuya grunted.

"Battle! Let's go, Firewall eXceed Dragon! Attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Playmaker commanded. His dragon's blade wings began to glow and giant shinning blue wings made out of energy appeared on the dragon's back in the shape of an X.

"If he destroys Dark Rebelliion, he can attack directly and you'll lose!" Yugo panicked.

"Go, Rising Krypt Limit!" Playmaker roared as his dragon fired an X-Shaped blue blast directly at the black and purple dragon.

"Entermate Uni's effect activates in my graveyard! By banishing along with Entermate Gatlinghoul in my graveyard, I can reduce the damage to 0!" Yuya countered as the spirits of his two Entermates blocked him from being hit from the shockwave while his dragon was decimated by the blast.

"But you have nothing protected you now! Cyberse Clock Dragon, Direct Attack! Pulse Pressure!" Playmaker yelled as his dragon shot a powerful purple blast directly at Yuya once more.

"Very good, Playmaker! But as an entertainer, I still have a trick up my sleeve! Continuous Trap, Entermate Punch Helper! When I am attacked directly, I can negate the attack and special summon an Entermate monster from my deck with 800 ATK or lower! Come, Entermate Corn!" Yuya shouted as a barrier formed around him, blocking the attack. Then, a girl similar to Uni appeared but with purple clothing and blue hair.

"Tch...Exslayer won't be able to destroy her since they have the same attack. Turn End." Playmaker concluded.

"That was close, Yuya." Yuto said with a sigh of relief.

"He's proven to be quite the challenge." Yuri said with an intrigued tone.

"You can say that again." Yugo agreed.

"Playmaker, you've managed to best all of my dragons so far, which not many have been able to do.The duel truly has been a blast!" Yuya shouted.

"Do you have no other moves?" Playmaker asked.

"Oh, I never said that! After all, the fun has just begun!" Yuya shouted.

"How many more times will he say that..." Playmaker sighed.

"My turn! With the set scale, Pendulum Summon! Come forth, my monsters! From my extra deck, Entermate Pendulum Magician! And from my hand, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his red magician appeared in his Extra Monster zone while his dragon appeared in his center Main Monster zone due to the effect of Quantum Dragon returning it to the hand.

"Now, I release Entermate Pendulum Magician and Entermate Uni in order to Advance Summon!" Yuya yelled as he raised a in the air while his two Entermates dispersed into light.

"An Advance Summon?"

"Come, my joyful comrade that can make anyone smile! Level 8! Entermate Laugh Maker!" Yuya shouted. In a flash of bright light, a magician appeared in front of Yuya. The magician had a yellow suit, gloves, and hat with purple clothes underneath. The man twirled a purple rod with blue crystals on each end. The magician's hat covered his eyes, but a smile on his face could be seen.

"It's time for the show to begin! I'll show you how to smile! I activate the Spell Card, Smile World!" Yuya shouted. Suddenly, the field was covered in colorful smiley faces.

"The hell...?" Playmaker uttered in annoyance.

"This spell increases the ATKs of all monsters on the field by 100 for each monster on the field! All our monsters gain 500 ATK!" Yuya smiledas the monsters powered up.

"Exslayer's effect activates! While this card points to a monster, it can't be targeted for attacks! And due to Clock Dragon's effect, while I control a Link monster, you can only attack this monster!" Playmaker exclaimed.

"In that case, Odd Eyes attacks Cyberse Clock Dragon! Spiral Strike Burst!" Yuya shouted as his dragon jumped into the air and shot a red blast at the Fusion monster.

"Mutual destruction...Go, Clock Dragon! Pulse Pressure!" Playmaker exclaimed as his dragon fired a purple blast that collided with the red blast, causing a colorful explosion that destroyed both dragons.

"Now's your time, Laugh Maker! Attack Firewall eXceed Dragon!" Yuya commanded as his magician jumped high in the air.

"What?! But Firewall eXceed has 3500 ATK!" Playmaker shouted.

"Laugh Maker's effect activates! During the turn, where this card and other cards on my opponents field have higher ATK then their original, this card gains 1000 ATK for each of those cards until the end of this turn's Battle Phase! Since Laugh Maker, Firewall, and Exslayer have higher ATK, Laugh Maker gains 3000 ATK!" Yuya yelled as his magician twirled his rod while being covered in yellow energy.

"If this attacks hits...Playmaker will take 2500 damage..." Yuto said.

"And Playmaker has 2500 life points left..." Yuri continued.

"So his life points will drop to 0!" Yugo shouted.

"Let's put on a brilliant climax, Laugh Maker!" Yuya yelled as his magician jumped high in the air. "Go, Laughing Spark!"

The magician spun his rod before firing a beautiful and bright purple lightning-like blast at the Xyz monsterfrom the crystals on the rod.

"Exslayer's effect! Once per turn, when a monster this card points to is attacked, I can reduce one instance of battle damage to 0!" Playmaker shouted as a semi-transparent barrier formed around him. The dragon was destroyed by the attack causing a powerful shockwave that knocked him backwards.

"Not bad..." Yuya smirked at his opponent's ability to survive.

"To think even without his dragons, he still would be able to put me in such a position..." Playmaker grunted as he got up.

"My move isn't over just yet! With the Scale 2 Entermate Gong Cat, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted as an orange cat with a blue gong for a body with a star in the middle appeared in the blue column.

"My turn is over. At this moment, Smile World and Laugh Maker's effects end." Yuya explained as both Exslayer and Laugh Maker's ATK reverted to normal.

Playmaker looked at his empty hand and clenched his fist. He would not lose like this. No matter the circumstances, he felt like he couldn't afford to lose. He put his hand on his deck and glared at Yuya. "No matter the situation, I won't lose! I'll definitely win this duel with my dueling! My turn! From my hand, I summon Swap Priest!"

A mechanical blue priest in a purple cloak holding a gold and blue rod appeared.

Playmaker yelled as a women in a black and white cloak with pink hair and a pinkish-red cape appeared. The women was holding a staff with a green orb at the top.

"I can special summon a level 4 or lower Cyberse monster from my graveyard and equip it with this card! Come, Flick Clown!" Playmaker yelled as a four armed magician with cyan and purple clothing that carried a blue rod with a yellow hand at the top appeared in his center Main Monster zone that Cyberse Witch's Bottom Left arrow pointed to.

"When a monster is special summoned to the zone Cyberse Witch points to, her effect activates! By banishing a Cynet Spell in the graveyard such as Cynet Fusion, I can add Cynet Ritual and a Cyberse Ritual Monster from my deck to the hand!" Playmaker yelled as two cards popped out of his deck.

"Ritual?" Yuya repeated in shock.

"Next, I activate the Ritual Spell, Cynet Ritual! I release monsters from my hand or field whose total levels are at least equal to the Ritual Monster's level in order to Ritual Summon! I release the Level 7 Degrade Buster in my hand!" Playmaker shouted. A large magical light blue circle appeared with 7 blue flames on it. The monsters then turned into light blue particles that were absorbed into the flames.

"He's going to Ritual Summon?!" Yugo shouted in a surprised tone.

"The contract has been made. The sage who wields dark power inherits this one souls! Ritual Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Cyberse Magician!" Playmaker chanted as a new magician appeared in his middle left Main Monster zone below Cyberse Witch's bottom link arrow. The male magician had long green hair and and a red visor above his eyes. He wore a blue and silver outfit with green lining. He wielded a sharp silver staff that was dark blue towards the top.

"Is he going to go for mutual destruction and then attacking directly...?" Yuya wondered.

"Flick Clown's effect! Once per duel, while I have no other cards in my hand, by paying 1000 life points..." Playmaker grunted as he was shocked once more, causing him to go on one knee.

PLAYMAKER: 1250-250 LP

"...To draw a card!" Playmaker exclaimed with a determined look as he drew.

"Giving up almost all of your life points, that's quite a gamble." Yuya said, surprised that his opponent would take such a risky approach to win.

"I activate the Equip Spell, Suspend Wand!" Playmaker shouted as a white wand with a green orb at the top appeared in the magician's empty hand. "Battle! Cyberse Magician, attack Laugh Maker! Cyberse Magic!"

The magician leaped upwards and shot a powerful green blast from it's new wand at the opposing magician.

"Fight back, Laugh Maker! Laughing Spark!" Yuya shouted as his magician twirled his rod and shot a purple blast at the opposing attack. The two attacked collided causing a beautiful explosion of green and purple energy. The explosion caused a shockwave that was about to reach both magicians.

"Suspend Wand's effect! Cyberse Magician can't be destroyed by battle!" Playmaker shouted as his magician block the shockwave with it's two rods.

"What?!" Yuya's eyes widened as his magician was destroyed by the shockwave.

"Flick Clown, direct attack!" Playmaker yelled as the clown charged forward.

"Entermate Gong Cat's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, the damage I would receive from a direct attack is reduced to 0!" Yuya shouted as the cat beat it's gong-like body, causing a barrier to protect Yuya.

"Cyberse Witch, direct attack!" Playmaker yelled as the weakened witch charged forward.

"Entermate Corn's Pendulum effect! By banishing this card and Secondonkey during my opponent's battle phase, I gain 500 life points!" Yuya shouted as he was healed before getting struck by the witch.

YUYA: 2300-2800-2500 LP

"You really are a persistent one...!" Playmaker grunted.

"Hehe..." Yuya nervously laughed.

"Turn End." Playmaker concluded with an angry tone.

"Playmaker...I understand why you want to win. You want to win so you go home and process your grief." Yuya said which caused his opponent's eyes to widen.

"H-How did you...?"

"Through out my own adventure of saving my world, I learned how to communicate and understand others while dueling. I can tell that you have lost someone. Someone close-!"

"Don't talk about him!" Playmaker angrily snapped.

"I can also see that you haven't truly enjoyed dueling in a very long time ago. Something happened to you, causing you to lose your sense of joy."

Playmaker froze for a second, thinking about the lost incident and became shocked at Yuya's accuracy.

"But, it also gave you a sense of drive and motivation. You became determined to complete your goals and you wouldn't be stopped by anything. This led you to become more cold and distant, but you became stronger in the process." Yuya explained.

"...Are you saying I'm heartless?" Playmaker asked.

"No...far from it. My guess is that throughout your journey, you met others that helped you and shared your goals." Yuya said which caused Playmaker to think of his allies, Kusanagi, Takeru, Aoi, Akira, Go, Emma, Ryoken,...and Ai.

"What the hell are you getting at?" Playmaker asked while looking down.

"These people helped you understand the meaning of putting trust in others and you built irreplaceable bonds. But the most powerful bond you had was lost, wasn't it?" Yuya asked.

"...Ai..." Playmaker's entire face was completely covered in darkness as he looked down while uttering his deceased partner's name.

"Now, you feel like you lost yourself. Despite doing the right thing, you feel as if the world is falling apart when it isn't. Due to everything horrible that has happened, you feel as if losing is unacceptable, no matter the circumstances. You feel as if you lose, you are letting everyone down."

"That's because it's the truth. In almost every one of my duels, I'm fighting for the safety of myself and everyone else...! If I don't win, everyone is in danger." Playmaker said in a sad tone.

"But not every duel is like that." Yuya said causing Playmaker to look up in anger.

"What the hell would you know about any of this?" Playmaker shouted.

"Oh, you have no idea." Yuya said with a piercing looking in his eye that caused Playmaker to flinch. "I was consumed by dueling with anger and revenge in my heart. In order to win when the stakes were high, I let my anger seep through and gain control, that led to many bad things that keep me up at night."

Yuya looked down as he thought of the countless times he entered his berserk state. He thought of when he brutally duel against Kachidoki, the Obelisk Force, DC 227, Crow, Ruri, Serena, the Professor, and Yuri. He thought of the demonic red eyed version of himself with his hair sticking up and dark energy consuming him.

"I was never able to save the love of my life after countless attempts. No matter how many times I caught her, she was always taken away from me and I was too powerless to stop it." Yuya said as the thoughts Yuzu raced through his head.

He thought about not being able to save Yuzu during the battle royale, not being able to stop Yuzu from being sucked into a dimensional whole, getting tricked and losing Yuzu after reuniting, and seeing her in the capsule in the ARC-V machine, resulting in her being almost permanently deceased.

"This all lead to me losing all sense of control. I battled and savagely defeated many of my friends and became the one thing I swore to fight against." Yuya saddened as he thought about when he absorbed Yuri and Yugo and became Zarc.

A being of pure chaos that wiped out anyone who tried to oppose him. Yuya was shaken by the thought of the glowing yellow eyes and dragonic grey body. His saddened expression then turned back to seriousness.

"But I managed to regain my true smile after everything that happened due to the help of all of my friend's efforts." Yuya smiled as he thought about Sora, Edo, Shun, Kaito, Jack, Gongenzaka, Sawatari, Crow, Reiji, and Reira/Ray (Yuzu, Serena, Rin, Ruri), who were his brave friends that fought to free him from Zarc.

"Regained...your true smile?" Playmaker repeated in confusion.

"If I can regain my smile and enjoyment after what happened to me, I sure as hell won't give up on you!" Yuya shouted with a determined smirk.

"If that's the case, then face me! Don't hold back your strength! Because no what, I won't lose!" Playmaker yelled as he looked up.

"Let's do this together! My turn..."

"...DRAW!" Yuya, Yuto, Yugo, and Yuri shouted images of the spiritual counterparts drawing next to Yuya appeared.

"What?" Playmaker said, swearing he had just seen 3 other people next to Yuya.

"It's here!" Yuto shouted.

"Alright!" Yugo cheered.

"Lets show him our true power, Yuya!" Yuri told his standard counterpart.

"Let's do this together, Yuri! The fun has just begun! Quick Play Spell, Odd Eyes Fusion Gate activate!" Yuya shouted as he slammed the card onto the duel disk. "This card revives Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon from the extra deck and Starve Venom from the graveyard!"

The red dragon appeared in the Extra Monster zone while the purple dragon appeared in the center Main Monster zone.

"Then, my spell let's me fuse my dragons together!" Yuya shouted as the dragon rose into the fusion vortex.

"Fusion them together?!" Playmaker shouted with a worried tone.

"Dragon with dual colored eyes! Become one with the poisonous dragon! Be the power that leads to supremacy! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 10! The shining dragon with sympathetic eyes! The Supreme King Violet Dragon - Odd-Eyes Venom Dragon!" Yuya exclaimed as a large Fusion Pendulum dragon appeared in Yuya's Extra Monster zone. The new dragon's body structure was extremely similar to Starve Venom, since it has a thin body and a tail extended out from it's lower body. The dragon was mostly colored violet with white pieces of armor throughout it's body. The dragon had green and red orbs through out it's body. The dragon had purple and white wings that had white blades protruding outwards and large yellow orbs on the ends. The dragon had white spikes across it's back and white blade at the end of it's tail. The dragon also retained the red and green eyes from it's Pendulum Fusion Material. The dragon let out a loud yet serene roar.

Odd Eyes Venom Dragon (3300/2500) LVL: 10

"This isn't good...!" Playmaker grunted.

"Odd Eyes Fusion Gate also stays on the field as long as Odd Eyes Venom is on the field. I could just attack now, but there is no fun in that!" Yuya smirked.

"Let's have some fun!" Yuri said with an evil grin.

"Now, watch as my beautiful dragon reveals it's true power! Odd Eyes Venom Dragon's effect activates! Since it was summoned with Fusion Materials on the field, my dragon gains ATK equal to the ATKs of all monsters my opponent controls!" Yuya shouted as his dragon's orbs on it's body began to glow brightly. As the yellow orbs on it's wings shined, violet energy shot out of the dragon's wings, causing a beautiful spectacle of light.

Odd Eyes Venom (3300/2500)-(7900/2500)

"Battle! Odd Eyes Venom Dragon, attack Cyberse Magician and end this duel! Purifying Venom - Strike Flare!" Yuya commanded. The dragon shot a spiraling pink blast of energy from it's mouth that were supported by smaller pink blasts from the dragon's orbs, creating a large pink stream of energy.

"With no set cards, he can't defend against the attack!" Yugo shouted.

"Could this be the end?" Yuto asked.

"...Transaction Roleback's effect in my graveyard activates!" Playmaker shouted.

"A Trap from the graveyard?!" Yugo yelled.

"By banishing this card and paying half of my life points...!" Playmaker grunted as he was shocked.

PLAYMAKER: 250-125

"...I can activate the effect of a Normal Trap in my graveyard! I choose to activate...Cure Conversion!" Playmaker exclaimed.

"T-That card?!" Yuya yelled in disbelief.

"By releasing Cyber Magician, the battle phase is forced to end!" Playmaker shouted as the magician dissolved into participles, causing the attack to miss.

"So close...!" Yuya said under his breathe.

"Then, I get to draw a card!" Playmaker shouted as he gripped the top card of his deck. "Draw! Hmph...the card I drew was the monster card, Dual Assembwurm! And due to Cure Conversion's effect, I gain life points equal to it's ATK! Assembwurm has 2000 ATK!"

PLAYMAKER: 125-2125 LP

"What the hell?! He evened out our life point difference again?!" Yugo shouted in shock.

"But when did that card get sent to the graveyard?" Yuya asked.

"Cyberse Clock Dragon's effect." Playmaker answered.

"I see. That was clever, Playmaker. Now, since my Battle Phase is over, I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reborn! Revive, Entermate Drago Remora!" Yuya yelled as the yellow dragon appeared in the center Main Monster zone.

"Drago Remora's effect! All dragon-types on my field gain 500 ATK! Also, dragon-type monster's can't be destroyed by card effects!" Yuya shouted as his dragons powered up.

"That troubling effect...!" Playmaker grunted.

"Now, if you truly think you are right, that dueling is a tool for conflict and nothing more...then prove that by defeating me! You still have 1 last card in your extra deck, right?" Yuya asked.

"So you've been keeping track..." Playmaker said with a distressed tone.

"I'm willing to bet that card is the key to your victory. If that's the case, then show me that final hope!" Yuya encouragingly shouted. "I set one card facedown, turn end!"

Odd Eyes Venom (8400/2500)-(3800/2500)

Playmaker looked at his deck as sweat formed on the side of his head. He was going to prove that he was right. He was going to prove that duels were meant to be serious and there is no room for fun when almost every duel is life or death. In this situation, there was no room for error. He gripped his chest before glaring as his opponent.

"I will win this duel! My turn!" Playmaker shouted as he drew and whipped his arm through the air, causing a slight burst of wind. He looked at his card and his eyes widened. "I see...I'm going to have to risk it all to win...but that won't stop me! I activate the Spell Card, Drastic Draw! While I control at least 2 monsters...by banishing all monsters on my field...I draw 3 cards!"

"He's banishing all of his monsters?!" Yuto said with a surprised tone as Cyberse Witch and Flick Clown dissapeared.

"This draw will decide the outcome of this duel...let's go! DRAW!" Playmaker shouted as his draw created a powerful force of wind that even made Yuya flinch a bit.

"He has a four card hand...not good." Yuto worried.

"Does he really think he can beat our most powerful dragon? What an idiot." Yuri scoffed.

"Excuse me?! Odd Eyes Wing is the strongest-"

"Guys. Not the time." Yuya interrupted his two bickering counterparts.

"This is it...I summon RAM Clouder!" Playmaker shouted as a green ram monster appeared.

"And by banishing 2 Cyberse monsters in my graveyard, I can special summon Dual Assembwurm from my hand but it's ATK is halved!" Playmaker shouted as a large red and blue monster appeared.

"RAM Clouder's effect activates! By releasing a monster on my field, I can revive a Cyberse monster from my graveyard! I release RAM Clouder! Revive, Transcode Talker!" Playmaker shouted as the orange Code Talker appeared.

"Transcode Talker's effect activates! Come back, Linkuriboh!" Yuya shouted as the Link 1 appeared next to the Link 3's right arrow.

Playmaker looked at the top of his duel disk for a brief moment where Ai use to be before being set free. The teen's eyes closed for a brief moment, before opening with a look of pure determination and resolve.

"Let's go! Appear, the circuit that leads to the future!" Playmaker shouted as he extended his hand out and caused a blue spark to burst in the air, creating the link circuit. "Arrowheads confirmed! I set Dual Assembwurm, the Link 1 Linkuriboh, and the Link 3 Transcode Talker!"

The former two monsters turned into single hurricanes of energy while Transcode turned into 3 hurricanes of energy that flew into the link markers.

"A L-Link 5?!" Yuya shouted in disbelief.

"The mysterious power filling the universe! Rain down on the miracle star and create infinite life! LINK SUMMON! Come forth! Link 5! Firewall Dragon Darkfluid!" Playmaker shouted as a new dragon materialized in the Extra Monster zone in a bright flash of rainbow light. The dragon had a black body that had thin green lines running through it. The dragon also had a large purple and black circle/funnel that went directly upwards protruding from it's back with 6 blue armored wings attached. The dragon also had blue armor near it's chest and legs while have red armor near it's shoulder blades and knee caps. It had yellow orbs above it's shoulders on the funnel as well. It had a large white and black tail and sharp yellow claws. It had a black and green open ring protruding from it's forehead and glowing red eyes. The dragon roared as causing the ground beneath them to shake.

"Amazing...totally amazing! That dragon is so awesome! This duel has gotten even better!" Yuya cheerfully shouted.

"I honestly didn't think you would come close to pushing me this far. Honestly, I've only had to use this monster twice." Playmaker said thinking back to his duels with Bohman and...Ai. "Yuya, you've challenged me greatly throughout this duel. Though I don't understand your philosophy, you are a great duelist. But this duel is over! When Darkfluid is Link Summoned,if there are Cyberse Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz monster on my graveyard...Darkfluid gains 4 counters!"

"Counters?" Yuya repeated.

"BATTLE! Firewall Dragon Darkfluid, attack Odd Eyes Venom Dragon!" Playmaker commanded as his dragon flew high in the air. The Link 5 monster roared as six purple blades shot out from it's wings. The green lines on it's body then changed to red.

"Your dragon has less ATK than mine!" Yuya yelled.

"You think so?"

"What?!"

"At this moment, Darkfluid's effect activates! This card gains 2500 ATK for each counter it had! It has 4 so...Darkfluid gains 10000!" Playmaker exclaimed as his dragon was covered in red aura while roaring loudly.

"1-13000 ATK?! That's insane!" Yuya shouted in disbelief.

"No way!" Yugo shouted.

"Go, Firewall Darkfluid Dragon! Attack Odd Eyes Venom Dragon! Neo Tempest Flame!" Playmaker shouted. His dragon tilted it's head back before firing an extremely powerful blast of fire from it's mouth at the Fusion Pendulum Dragon.

"You need to dodge that attack!" Yuto said with a distressed tone.

"Entermate Balloon Barrier Tapir's effect in my hand activates! By discarding it, the damage I would take is reduced to 0-!"

"Useless! Firewall Dragon Darkfluid's effect activates! When an opponent's monster effect activates, by removing a counter from this card, the activation of that effect is negated! Karma Gear!" Playmaker countered as the dragon released a wave of purple energy that hit Yuya's card in his hand, causing it's effect not to activate.

"What?!" Yuya shouted in shock.

"N-No way...!" Yuya's eyes widened in horror.

"It was a good duel...but this is the end!" Playmaker shouted as his powerful blast of flames incinerated the violet and white dragon, causing a huge explosion.

Yuya then extended out his hands, seemingly excepting his fate.

"Well done, Playmaker...But this duel isn't over yet! Trap Activate! Entermate Big Support! By sending an Entermate with 1000 ATK from my hand to the graveyard, a monster on my field gains ATK equal to double the ATK of the discarded monster! I send the 1000 ATK Entermate Balloon Barrier Tapir from my hand to the graveyard, and Odd Eyes Venom Dragon gains 2000 ATK!" Yuya yelled as he discarded the monster whose effect was negated earlier but wasn't destroyed, meaning it remained in the hand.

Odd Eyes Venom (3800/2500)-(5800/2500)

"But you will still take 4700 points of damage and lose! It's over!" Playmaker shouted.

The powerful blast of surging flames incinerated the violet and white hybrid dragon, causing a powerful explosion that headed directly at Yuya.

"I activate the other effect the Continuous Trap, Entermate Pinch Helper! While this card is face up on the field, by sending to the graveyard when two monsters battle, the damage is halved!" Yuya shouted causing a semi-transparent barrier to form around him.

The barrier managed to block the flames for a moment, but they were too strong and broke through. Yuya was sent flying through the air and landed on his back.

"GAAAAAHH!"

"No way...he survived Darkfluid's attack..." Playmaker eye's widened in amazement.

"When Odd Eyes Venom Dragon is destroyed, it's final effect activates! I can special summon a card from my Pendulum Zone and then set this card into an empty Pendulum Zone! Then, all monsters on your field are destroyed and you take damage equal to their ATKs! Overwhelming Force-!"

"Firewall Dragon Darkfluid's effect activates! When an opponent's monster effect activates, by removing a counter from this card, the activation of that effect is negated! Karma Gear!" Playmaker countered once more.

"When Odd Eyes Venom is destroyed, Odd Eyes Fusion Gate is sent to the graveyard. Then, I can add the Quick Play Spell, Odd Eyes Synchro Gate from my deck to my hand! I told you...I'm not giving up on you, Playmaker!" Yuya shouted.

"The battle isn't over yet! Darkfluid's effect allows it to attack in a row when a counter is used during battle!Playmaker shouted.

"What?!" Yuya shouted as he rembered that Darkfluid negated Balloon Barrier Tapir during battle, meaning it gained another attack.

"Darkfluid, attack Entermate Drago Remora! Neo Tempest Aqua!" Playmaker yelled. The dragon cupped it's hands together, creating a sphere of bright blue water. The dragon fired a stream of water directly at the coin dragon, destroying it.

"Looks like I survived..." Yuya said with a relieved smirk.

"Barely." Yuri added.

Playmaker was awe struck. He was amazed and shocked that Yuya managed to survive that near death situation. He was in shock that he still couldn't manage to win, even with Darkfluid. How could this teen be so strong? Yuya wasn't even dueling with the same rules as he was used to and he was still on par with him.

"How's that, Playmaker! I told you, I'm not giving up!" Yuya shouted, unfazed by the disadvantage in their fields and life points.

"It's our turn to counterattack! Lets do it!" Yugo shouted as he pumped his fist into the air.

"Let's go all out, Yugo. My turn, draw!" Yuya confidently shouted as he drew. "Quick Play Spell, Odd Eyes Synchro Gate activate! This card lets me special summon Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon from my Extra Deck and Clear Wing Synchro Dragon from my graveyard!"

The red dragon apppeared in the Main Monster zone that Darkfluid's Top Arrow pointed to while the white dragon appeared in Yuya's center Main Monster zone, next to Odd Eyes.

"I tune my level Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragom to my level 7 Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his ace jumped into the air, turning into a green ring that flew around Clear Wing. "Dragon with dual colored eyes! Gain the shining wings of light! Soar to the summit of supremacy! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Dragon with piercing eyes of breakthrough! Supreme King White Dragon - Odd-Eyes Wing Dragon!"

In a flash of shinning light, a large majestic dragon flew through the air and landed in the Main Monster zone Darkfluid pointed to. The red and green eyed dragon was clad in sharp white and black armor. The dragon also had a large white and black armored tail. Throughout it's armor were beautiful and sharp blue crystals and the dragon had pure blue crystal wings protruding from it's back. The dragon also had a small green gem on it's chest and one on it's torso area.

"A Synchro Pendulum monster...!"

"Odd Eyes Wing Dragon's effect activates! Once per turn, a monster on my opponent's field has it's effects negated as long as this card is on the field! Go, Shinning Supremacy!" Yuya shouted as he pointed up in the air at his dragon. The dragon flew forward and shot a powerful blue binding light from it's crystal's on it's body.

"I won't let you! Firewall Dragon Darkfluid's effect activates! When an opponent's monster effect activates, by removing a counter from this card, the activation of that effect is negated!" Playmaker countered as the dragon released a wave of purple energy that collided with the blue light.

"At this moment, Odd Eyes Wing Dragon's other effect activates! Once per turn, I can target a monster on my opponent's field and all monsters on my opponent's field are destroyed! And then, Odd Eyes Wing Dragon gains ATK equal to the destroyed target's ATK! I target Darkfluid! Dichroic Destruction!" Yuya exclaimed. The dragon shot a powerful white hurricane of energy from it's wings at Darkfluid.

"Trap Activate! Cyberse Shatter! When a card effect is activated that would change the ATK of a single monster on your field while I control a Cyberse monster, that effect is negated! Then, I draw a card!" Playmaker countered as a cyan colored barrier formed around Darkfluid, protecting it from destruction.

"Darkfluid still has a counter which means it's ATK will be 5500..." Yuto realized.

"So our dragon won't be enough...damn..." Yugo grunted.

"I set one card facedown, turn end." Yuya concluded with a facedown.

'He managed to get Darkfluid down to 1 counter...I need to end this now!' Playmaker thought tohimself before starting his turn. "My turn! Battle! Firewall Dragon Darkfluid,attack Odd Eyes Wing Dragon! At this moment, Darkfluid gains 2500 ATK during battle since it has 1 counter!"

The dragon flew up in the air as it's green lines turned red and extended it's purple energy wings while it powered up.

Darkfluid (3000)-(5500)

"End this! Neo Tempest Earth!" Playmaker yelled. The dragon flew forward with it's tail pointed at the Synchro Pendulum dragon. The tail began to spin, turning into a brown energy drill.

"Quick Play Spell, Super Hippo Carnival activate! It's time for my hippos to make an encore appearance! This card lets me Special Summon Entermate Discover Hippo directly from my deck! Then, I can special summon as many Hippo Tokens as possible!" Yuya explained his Pink hippo appeared in his center Main Monster zone while the tokens appeared in the other 4 empty zones. The hippos dancing caused the Link monster's attack to stop, saving Odd Eyes Wing Dragon.

"And you must destroy my Hippo Tokens before attacking any other monster!" Yuya smiled.

"Just like last time...in that case, Firewall Darkfluid Dragon attacks one of your Hippo Tokens! Neo Tempest Windy!" Playmaker commanded. The dragon shot forward spinning black blades from it's body at the token which were surrounded by green energy. The blades ripped through the Token with ease and the dragon returned to the ground and reverted back to it's primary green color.

Darkfluid (5500)-(3000)

"I...set a card facedown, turn end." Playmaker concluded.

"Let's go! My turn!" Yuya determinedly shouted as he drew.

"Trap Activate! Parallel Plot Armor! By equipping this card to Darkfluid, it can't be destroyed by battle or be targeted by card effects!"

"Trying to prevent your dragon from needing to use it's counters? That's a good move. But I'll break through it! While I control an Entermate monster like Discover Hippo, I can special summon Entermate Card Bird!" Yuya shouted as a bird with wings made from cards appeared.

"I activate the Spell Card, Catastrophe Draw! By destroying 5 cards on my field, I draw 2 cards!" Yuya shouted as Odd Eyes Wing, Card Bird, and the 3 Tokens dispersed while he drew.

'He's getting rid of his defenses...' Playmaker thought with a confused tone. 'But why keep the Hippo and not the dragon?'

"When Odd Eyes Wing Dragon is destroyed, Odd Eyes Synchro Gate leaves the field! Then, I can add the Quick Play Spell, Odd Eyes Xyz Gate from my deck to my hand! Next, I activate the Spell Card, Shuffle Reborn! While I control no monsters, I can special summon a monsters from my graveyard! Revive, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the dark dragon returned.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (2500/2000) RNK: 4

"Then, Shuffle Reborn's other effect activates! By shuffling Gong Cat back to my deck, I draw a card!" Yuya shouted as he returned the card to his deck drew.

"Now you can't deflect direct attacks with that card's Pendulum effect!" Playmaker told the Pendulum user.

"I won't need to! Discover Hippo can be treated as 2 monsters when release for an Advance Summon! I release Discover Hippo! Come forth, the dazzling light of salvation that penetrates the darkness of despair! Odd Eyes Saber Dragon!" Yuya shouted. Out of the bright light, a new Odd Eyes dragon appeared. The dragon was red and had a blue orb in it's stomach similar to Odd Eyes Dragon. The dragon was covered in white and yellow armor that had multiple blue and purple gems on it. The dragon had white and yellow blades protruding from it's armor and also had a blade attached to the end of it's tail.

"Another evolution of your dragon...!" Playmaker said with a surprised tone.

"Yuya, I can understand what you are trying to do...are you sure this is a good idea?" Yuto asked.

"Don't worry, Yuto. We'll be ok." Yuya reassured his counter part.

"Alright. I trust you, Yuya. Let's go!" Yuto shouted.

"Right! I activate the Spell Card, Phantom Knights Possession! I can target an Xyz monster on my field and it gains level equal to another monster on my field! Dark Rebellion gains Odd Eyes Saber Dragon's level of 7!"

"Now I overlay Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the two dragons turned into purple energy that flew into the overlay network. A blast of red energy that erupted from the overlay network causing nervous sweat to form on Playmaker's forehead. "Dragon with dual-colored eyes! Resurrect from the deep darkness and incinerate everything on the earth with the flames of rage! XYZ SUMMON! Come forth, Rank 7! The blazing dragon called by calamity, Supreme King Violent Dragon – Odd Eyes Raging Dragon!"

Out of a burst of raging flames, the Xyz Pendulum Dragon appeared in the Extra Monster zone. The dragon had piercing red and green eyes. It had crimson red and black armored scales with black wings that had 10 orange flames protruding out of them. The dragon had grey claws and a single red and green orbs on it's wings. It had a blue orb in the middle of it's body. The dragon roared ferociously causing Playmaker to gain a nervous feeling.

Odd Eyes Raging Dragon (3000/2500) RNK: 7 OVU:2

"Odd Eyes Raging Dragon's effect activates! By using both overlay units, all other cardson the field are destroyed! And Odd Eyes Raging Dragon gains 200 ATK points for each card!" Yuya shouted. The dragon roared ferociously as the flames on it's wings bursted outwards.

"Damn it...Darkfluid's effect activates! By removing a counter, the monster effect is negated! Karma Gear!" Playmaker countered as his dragon release a purple wave of energy that countered the raging flames.

I can special summon Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon from my graveyard and Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon from my extra deck!" Yuya shouted as his dark dragon appeared in his center Main Monster zone while his ace returned to the Extra Monster zone.

A blast of lightning then shot out of the portal as Yuya chanted. "I overlay my level 7 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Dragon with dual colored eyes! Eradicate all enemies that opose you with your black scale of wrath! XYZ SUMMON! Come forth! Rank 7! Dragon with Eyes of Rage! Supreme King Black Dragon - Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon!" Yuya shouted as his Xyz Pendulum dragon with red and green eyes appeared with a loud and threatening roar in the Main Monster zone Darkfluid's Top arrow pointed to. The dragon had purple and pitch black armor with red energy running through it. The dragon had mechanical black wings with purple orbs on them. The dragon had a purple tail and two tusks on it's chin.

Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon (3000/2500) RNK:7 OVU: 2

"Two Xyz Pendulum Dragons...!" Playmaker uttered in a worried tone.

"Odd Eyes Xyz Gate's effect activates! By banishing this card along with Odd Eyes Synchro Gate and Odd Eyes Fusion Gate, Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon can attack twice and gains 1000 ATK!" Yuya exclaimed as his dragon powered up.

Odd Eyes Rebellion (3000/2500)-(4000/2500)

"What?!" Playmaker's eyes widened.

"And since Darkfluid doesn't have anymore Counters, it's ATK won't increase! Let's go! Battle! Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon, attack Firewall Dragon Darkfluid!" Yuya commanded. The dragon roared as it's mechanized wings shot out 6 blades of electrical purple energy. The dragon's two fangs glowed bright purple as the dragon flew close to ground. As the dragon flew, the glowing fangs ripped through the ground creating a trail of destruction. "Go! Rebellious Wrath - Strike Disobey!"

"Due to Parallel Plot Armor, Firewall won't be destroyed!" Playmaker yelled.

"But you still take the damage!" Yuya smirked. The hybrid dragon's fangs collided with the Link 5 Dragon causing a powerful shockwave to knock Playmaker backwards.

PLAYMAKER: 2125-1125 LP

"Ghh...!" Playmaker grunted.

"Go, Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon! Attack once more!" Yuya commanded as his dragon flew upwards. The dragon's purple blades protruding from it's wings glowed even brighter, causing gigantic purple wings to form on the dragon. "Go, Rebellious Thunder - Lightning Strike!"

As the black dragon's eyes glowed the dragon roared loudly as it charged powerful electricity in it's mouth. The dragon fired a gigantic purple blast of electric energy that consumed the link 5 dragon.

"Darkfluid isn't destroyed...GAAAAHHH!" Playmaker yelled as a portion of the blast got passed the dragon and hit Playmaker head on, causing him to get knocked through the air.

PLAYMAKER: 1125-125 LP

"Gah!" Playmaker gasped as he landed on his stomach.

"Maybe I overdid that..." Yuya nervously said.

"I'm not...done fighting...!" Playmaker grunted as he drove his fist into the ground, forcing himself up.

"Playmaker...hmph. I set a card facedown turn." Yuya concluded.

"...Using these dragons, how do they bring smiles when they cause destruction?" Playmaker asked.

"..." Yuya was silent for a moment but then smiled. "A while back, I was consumed by rage and used these dragons to destroy my opponents. I told myself that if I just smiled through the pain, it would be ok. But, that wasn't true."

"Are you contradicting yourself?" Playmaker asked.

"Not at all. Yes, dueling should make people happy and smile, but at the same time, those smiles must be genuine, not forced. In the end, you'll just end up building all of the pain up...and then bad things will happen..."

Yuya thought about how all of his pain was released when he mentally broke after losing his Smile World card given to him by his father during his duel with Yuri...which lead to him becoming Zarc and almost destroying the four dimensions.

"The same thing goes with closing yourself off from others. If you only express one of your emotions such as happiness or coldness, other emotions like hatred and anger build up into they consume you. That's why you must deal with all of your emotions...happiness, sadness, anger...that's why I don't neglect any of my dragons. They each represent a different part of me." Yuya explained as he gripped his Pendulum while his counterparts smiled at him.

"I see...so your goal is to bring out my true emotions..." Playmaker said.

"That's right! Just like how I learned how to not cover up my emotions with smiles, you need to not cover up your emotions by closing yourself off! I'll bring out your true smile by pushing you to your limits!" Yuya shouted as he pointed at Playmaker.

"You're an interesting guy, you know that?" Playmaker said.

"Hehehe...Turn end!" Yuya concluded.

Odd Eyes Rebellion (4000/2500)-(3000/2500)

"And during the end phase Card Bird was destroyed, I can draw a card!"

"You have pushed me farther than many have before. You truly are a worthy opponent. That's why...I'll pour everything I have into defeating you! My turn!" Playmaker shouted as he drew and glared at the card he drew. "This is it...I activate the Equip Spell, Cyberse Annihilation! And I'll equip this card to Firewall Dragon Darkfluid! And now, when Darkfluid battles a monster, it's ATK becomes equal to the opposing monster's ATK!"

"But all the monsters on the field have 3000 ATK...?" Yuya said.

"Battle! Firewall Dragon Darkfluid, attack Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon!" Playmaker commanded as his dragon turned red and purple blades shot out of it's wings. "Due to Parrellel Port Armor, Darkfluid can't be destroyed by battle! And due to Cyberse Annihilation's effect, when the equipped monster destroys a monster, it inflicts damage equal to the destroyed monster's ATK my opponent!"

"W-What?!" Yuya yelled in disbelief.

"Let's end this, Darkfluid! NEO...TEMPEST...END!" Playmaker roared. The dragon shot forward a colorful blast of energy that completely obliterated the black dragon and flew towards Yuya.

"No way!" Yugo shouted.

"We can't lose like this!" Yuri angrily said.

"Yuya!" Yuto yelled in concern.

"Playmaker...I...haven't lost just yet!"

"What?!"

"Entermate Rain Goat's effect in my hand activates! By sending this card to the graveyard, I can reduce the effect damage to 0!" Yuya shouted as the blue entermate hovered around him, saving him from the blast.

"You managed to even survive that...!" Playmaker uttered in shock.

"Damn it...Odd Eyes Rebellion can't use it's effect since there are no cards in my Pendulum Zone..." Yuya grunted.

"Turn End..." Playmaker concluded.

"My turn...Draw!" Yuya shouted as he drew. He looked at the card he drew and smiled. "I set one card facedown, turn end."

"That's all? My turn! Battle! Firewall Dragon Darkfluid, attack Odd Eyes Raging Dragon! And due to Cyberse Annihilation and Parallel Port Armor's effect, Darkfluid won't be destroyed and you'll take damage equal to Raging Dragon's ATK! This is the end! Neo Tempest!" Playmaker shouted. This time, the dragon charged a sphere of colorful energy and launched it towards the burning dragon.

"Hehehe...let's go! Quick Play Spell, Smile Universe!" Yuya shouted as he activated his facedown. Suddenly, a storm of colorful smiley faces flew up into the air causing the dark voice to be filled with colorful lights.

"Smile...Universe?!"

"This card lets me special summon as many Pendulum Monsters from my extra deck as possible! Revive, Supreme King White Dragon - Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!" Yuya exclaimed as the blue and white hybrid dragon appeared in the zone that Darkfluid's top arrow pointed to.

"Then, my opponent gains life points equal to the summoned monster's ATK." Yuya explained as Playmaker was enveloped in a green aura.

PLAYMAKER: 125-3125 LP

"...What was the point in that?" Playmaker asked.

"Due to Smile Universe's effect, monster's can't be summoned for the rest of the turn and monster's can't declare attacks! Meaning, Darkfluid's attack won't go through!" Yuya exclaimed as the colorful sphere dissipated.

"So in exchange for me gaining life, you survived the turn and summoned one of your dragons back...!" Playmaker uttered.

"I told you I'm haven't lost yet!" Yuya smirked.

"I set one card facedown, turn end." Playmaker concluded.

"Let's go! My turn, draw! I activate another copy of the Spell Card, Pendulum Halt! Since there are 3 Pendulum monsters in the Extra Deck...I draw two cards! Alright! With the Scale 6 Entermate Guitartle, and the Scale 6 Entermate Lizardraw, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya shouted as the blue turtle with a guitar body and a orange lizard in a suit appeared in the zones.

"Guitartle's Pendulum effect activates! When a card is places in the other Pendulum Zone, I draw a card! Next, Lizardraw's Pendulum effect activates! By shuffling this card into the deck, I draw a card!" Yuya shouted as he drew.

"Using the Pendulum effects to draw..." Playmaker said.

"It's here! I activate the Spell Card, Pendulum Storm! By destroying all cards in my Pendulum Zones, I can destroy a Spell or Trap on your field! I'll destroy Parallel Port Armor!" Yuya exclaimed as a green storm destroyed Guitartle and the trap.

"No way!" Playmaker shouted.

"Let's go! Battle! Odd Eyes Wing Dragon, attack Firewall Dragon Darkfluid! Storming Attack - STRIKE SLASHER!" Yuya yelled. The dragon's crystal began glowing brightly causing the dragon to be surrounded by a bright blue energy. The dragon whirled as it flew up in the air and then dove down at even higher speeds at the Link 5 dragon.

"Go, Firewall Dragon Darkfluid! Neo Tempest Rush!" Playmaker yelled. This time, the dragon was surrounded in colorful energy as it flew forward. The two dragons collided causing a powerful explosion that caused both duelists to brace themselves.

"Odd Eyes Wing Dragon's effect activates! When an Odd Eyes monster would be destroyed, I can place this card in the Pendulum Zone instead!" Yuya shouted as the white and blue dragon appeared in the blue column.

"Let's end this duel! Raging Dragon can attack twice per turn!" Yuya shouted with a smirk.

"Twice?!" Playmaker yelled.

"This the finale! Odd Eyes Raging Dragon, Direct Attack! Use both of your attacks to finish this duel! Destruction Burst of Fury!" Yuya shouted as he pointed at the Cyberse user. The dragon's flames shined brightly as the orbs on it's body glowed. The dragon shot a powerful orange and blue blast of raging fire at Playmaker.

"...Trap Activate! Return Risk Reservoir! During my opponent's Battle Phase, I can target 1 level 1 monster in my graveyard and special summon it! Revive, Proton!" Playmaker yelled as the small blue monster appeared.

Protron (100/100) LVL: 1

"Linkuriboh's effect activates! By releasing a level 1 monster, I can special summon this card! I release Protron to bring back Linkuriboh!" Playmaker yelled as the cybernetic Kuriboh appeared.

Linkuriboh (300) LR: 1 Arrows: Bottom

"And due to Return Risk Reservoir's effect, since Protron left the field, I draw a card! Linkuriboh's effect activates! By releasing this card, the attack is negated and the attacking monster's ATK becomes 0!" Playmaker countered. The Kuriboh charged itself in blue energy as it flew through the flames and slammed into the dragon, causing it to weaken.

Odd Eyes Raging (3000/2500)-(0/2500)

"What a counter..." Yuya said in awe.

"You aren't the only one who is persistent!" Playmaker said.

"As expected...I set one card facedown, turn end!" Yuya concluded.

Odd Eyes Raging (0/2500)-(3000/2500)

"What will you do now, Playmaker? With no cards in your Extra Deck, how will you continue?" Yuya asked with a smirk.

"You're about to find out! My turn!" Playmaker shouted with determination as he drew. "Recoded Alive's effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing this card while I control no monsters in the Extra Monster Zone, I can special summon a Code Talker that is banished!" Playmaker exclaimed.

"What?! Summoning a monster that is banished?!" Yuya shouted in shock.

"Be reborn, Decode Talker!" Playmaker shouted as the blue and purple Code Talker jumped up out of a digital portal. The Link 3 monster spun it's blade before striking a fighting pose in Playmaker's Main Monster zone that was below the Extra Monster zone Odd Eyes Raging Dragon was in.

Decode Talker (2300) LR: 3 Arrows: Top, Left, Right

"Decode Talker's effect activates! This card gains 500 ATK for every monster it's arrows points to! Since Decode Talker points at Odd Eyes Raging Dragon, it gains 500 ATK!" Playmaker shouted as the Code Talker powered up.

Decode (2300)-(2800)

"Odd Eyes Raging Dragon is still stronger!" Yuya shouted.

"Not for long!"

"What?!"

"Equip Spell, Grid Rod activate! By equipping this card to Decode Talker, it gains 300 ATK! Also, Decode Talker can't be destroyed by battle once per turn and is unaffected by card effects!" Playmaker shouted as a silver rod appeared in the Code Talker's left hand.

Decode Talker (2800)-(3100)

"What?!" Yuya shouted.

"Battle! Decode Talker, attack Odd Eyes Raging Dragon!" Playmaker commanded as his monster put the rod on it's back and gripped it's glowing purple sword with both hands. "Go! Decode End!"

The purple and blue swordsman jumped high in the air and slashed down on the fiery dragon with it's purple blade, causing a huge explosion that knocked Yuya back.

"Raging Dragon...grrraaa!" Yuya grunted as he struggled to keep his footing.

YUYA: 150-50 LP

"Raging Dragon's effect activates! When this card is destroyed, by destroying all cards in my Pendulum Zones, I can place this card in the Pendulum Zone!" Yuya shouted as flames consumed Odd Eyes Wing Dragon while Odd Eyes Raging Dragon appeared in the blue column.

"That was an amazing move, Playmaker...but on my next turn-!"

"I'm not done!"

"Eh?!"

"Parallel Port Armor's effect in the graveyard activates! By banishing this card and 2 Link monsters in my graveyard, Decode Talker can attack once more!" Playmaker yelled as he banished Transcode Talker and Exslayer.

"W-WHAT?!" Yuya shouted in disbelief.

"Let's go! Decode Talker, Direct Attack! DECODE END!" Playmaker yelled as the Code Talker raised it's blade high in the air before slashing down at Yuya.

"I...can't lose yet!" Yuya shouted with a determined look in his eyes. "Trap Activate! Pendulum Reborn! I can revive a Pendulum Monster from my graveyard or extra deck! Revive, Supreme King Violet Dragon - Odd Eyes Venom Dragon!"

The white and violet dragon appeared in front of Yuya, saving him from being hit by the Link Monster's attack.

"...I set a card facedown...Turn end." Playmaker concluded.

"I've come this far...I won't give up! After all, the fun has just begun!" Yuya shouted as he serious looked turned to excitement.

"..." Playmaker looked at his opponent. He didn't believe there was a way to try and have fun dueling while still dueling seriously. But, Yuya had been dueling to have fun and he has pushed him extremely far. But even though he was being pushed to his limits, his motivation felt like it changed. It felt different from his duels with Bohman and Ai. At first, he wanted to win to leave. Then, he wanted to win to prove he was right. And now...he wasn't quite sure. He was feeling something that he hadn't felt in a long time.

"My turn, draw!" Yuya shouted as his eyes widened at the sight of the card he had drawn. "This is my final gamble! I activate the Spell Card, Pot of Riches! I shuffle, Entermate Odd Eyes Synchron, Entermate Silver Claw, Entermate Drago Remora, Entermate Laugh Maker, and Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon into my deck...to draw 2 cards!"

"Shuffling your Pendulum monsters back into the deck...!" Playmaker uttered.

"Let's go! Odd Eyes Raging Dragon's Pendulum effect activates! Once per turn, I can place a Pendulum Monster from my deck into my empty Pendulum Zone! I set the Scale 6 Entermate Lizardraw!" Yuya shouted as the humanoid lizard appeared in the Pendulum Zone once more.

"With this, I can Pendulum Summon monsters with levels 2 through 5! Pendulum Summon! From my hand, Entermate Ignition Eagle!" Yuya shouted as a single light shot out of the portal. A brown eagle in a blue outfit with a top hat appeared that had a silver rocket attached to it's back.

"Lizardraw's Pendulum effect! By shuffling this card into my deck, I draw a card!" Yuya shouted as he drew.

"That effect again...!" Playmaker said.

"Let's do this! Odd Eyes Venom Dragon, attack Decode Talker!" Yuya shouted as the dragon's orbs began to shine bright.

"Decode Talker won't be destroyed by this battle! And I have more than enough life points to survive this attack!" Playmaker shouted.

"That's where you are wrong! Entermate Ignition Eagle's effect activates! When one of my monsters attack, I can special summon a monster from my Pendulum Zone! Come on out, Odd Eyes Raging Dragon!" Yuya shouted as the burning red dragon bursted out of the Pendulum Zone and onto the field. "Also, I can place this card into an empty Pendulum Zone!"

"Then, the attacking monster gains ATK equal to the summoned monster's ATK! Odd Eyes Venom Dragon gains 3000 ATK!" Yuya shouted as fiery energy shot out of the Xyz dragon and into the Fusion dragon.

"This will be 3700 points of damage!" Yugo cheerfully shouted.

"No way...!" Playmaker uttered in disbelief.

"Let's go! Show your true smile, Playmaker! Purifying Venom - STRIKE FLARE!" Yuya roared. The dragon shot a spiraling pink blast of energy from it's mouth that were supported by smaller pink blasts from the dragon's orbs, creating a large pink stream of energy.

"Damn it...Trap Activate! Three Strike Barrier! Since my opponent controls 3 cards, I can activate one of 3 effects! I chose the second effect! I take no damage this turn!" Playmaker yelled as a barrier protected him. The Code Talker grabbed the rod on it's back and used it to tank the attack.

"Amazing...but I'll at least destroy your monster! Odd Eyes Raging Dragon, attack Decode Talker! Destruction Burst of Fury!" Yuya shouted as the dragon shot a powerful burst of orange and blue raging flames at the Link Monster, incinerating it.

"Decode Talker..." Playmaker said with a saddened tone.

"I really thought I had you...I set a card facedown, Turn End." Yuya concluded with a facedown. "Playmaker, you've been the greatest challenge I've ever faced, and that's really saying something. Your determination and will is truly admirable. And I can tell that deep down, you feel like something has changed inside you during this duel."

Playmaker gripped his chest as he listened to the Pendulum user's words. He was still taking this duel seriously and was determined to win, but he felt a rush of excitement. Was this what Yuya was talking about?

"...Though at first, I didn't think you were right...I know now that I was acting like a fool. I should have never closed myself off like I did. Through out my journey, I had learned to trust others and to accept help from allies, but even then, I still kept me distance. And when things got tough, I closed myself off from them completely... which was wrong." Playmaker said looking down.

Images of Takeru (as Soulburner), Aoi (as Blue Maiden), Emma (as Ghost Girl), Go, Kusanagi, and Akira appeared in his head. He saw an image of the humanoid version of Ai turning his back from him and walking away caused a tear to fall from his eye. That's when it hit him.

"...Ai wouldn't have wanted me to be like this..." Playmaker realized. He looked at his duel disk where Ai use to be and thought about the times they had together. "...I understand...though Ai made mistakes, he never wanted me to suffer. And he wouldn't have wanted me to suffer now even after what happened. That's why...I can't consume myself with grief. I won't let my friends down any longer! I won't let Ai down!"

Yuya smiled seeing Playmaker understanding his issues. He knew his job was done. No matter what the outcome of this duel ends up being, he would be happy.

"I'll win this duel! I'll surpass my limits once more in order to win! My...TURN!" Playmaker shouted as he drew. His powerful swing of his arm caused a strong wind to hit Yuya, giving him a nervous chill. "I activate the Field Spell, Cynet Universe! With this Spell, all Link Monsters on my field gain 300 ATK!"

"But you don't have any Link Monsters on your field!" Yuya shouted.

"Cynet Ritual's effect in my graveyard activates! By banishing this card and Cyberse Magician while I have no monster on my field, I can special summon 2 Cyberse Tokens!" Playmaker yelled as two tokens appeared in his center Main Monster zone and far left Main Monster zone.

"Dual Assembwurm's effect activates in my graveyard activates! By banishing 2 Cyberse monsters in my graveyard, I can summon this cardwith it's ATK halved!" Playmaker shouted as the red and blue monster flew out of the purple portal.

"But he doesn't have any ExtraDeck monsters left...what is he trying to set up?" Yuri said with a puzzled tone.

"Cynet Universe's effect activates! Once per turn, I can shuffle amonster in my graveyard back into my deck! I choose Decode Talker!" Playmaker shouted.

"Recycling your monster?!" Yuya yelled in shock.

"Appear, the circuit that leads to the future!" Playmaker shouted as a spark flew out of his hand and created the link circuit. "I set Dual Assembwurm and the Link 2 Cyberse Witchinto the Link Markers! Circuit Combine!LINK SUMMON! Come forth! Link 3! Decode Talker!"

The blue and purple Code Talker with a purple blade appeared in the Extra Monster zone.

"Decode Talker gains 300 ATK due to Cynet Universe's effect!"

"But Decode Talker's ATK is weaker than both of my monsters!" Yuya said.

"Have you forgotten? Decode Talker's effect! This card gains 500 ATK for every monster it points to! Since it points to both of my Cyberse Tokens, Decode Talker gains 1000 ATK! POWER INTEGRATION!" Playmaker roared as his powered up.

Decode (2600)-(3600)

"It's like he's been planning this...!" Yuto uttered.

"With all my strength and power, using the first monster brought to me by the power of the bond between my partner and I...I WILL DEFEAT YOU, YUYA SAKAKI!" Playmaker roared as he clenched his fist and pointed it at Yuya, making the boy nervously sweat.

"Come, Playmaker! Show me your resolve!" Yuya shouted back at Playmaker.

"BATTLE! Decode Talker...attack Odd Eyes Raging Dragon!" Playmaker shouted. The Code Talker held it's blade high in the air. The blade ignited in a burst of golden energy that shot high into the air.

"Hehehehe..." Yuya laughed as he extended his arms outwards and closed his eyes.

"DECODE...END!" Playmaker thrusted his fist forward as he roared.

The Code Talker swung it's blade downwards causing the large golden energy blade to swing downward at the burning dragon and Yuya.

As the attack connected, a huge explosion occurred which enveloped the entire voidin smoke.

Playmaker breathed in and out due to exhaustion from the duel. It was finally over. He had won.

"I'm not done just yet!"

Playmaker's eyes widened hearing those words. As the smoke dissipated, Decode Talker's golden energy blade was hovering over the burning dragon.

"What the hell?!" Playmaker shouted in disbelief. How did his attack stop?! He looked over to Yuya's field and there was a...stop light?!

"Hehehe...this is the final trick up my sleeve! It's the Trap Card, Entermate Signal! When an attack is declared, I can draw 1 card and it's sent to the graveyard. And if the draw card is a monster, the attack is negated!" Yuya explained with a smile.

"So you're betting your fate on the top card of your deck?" Playmaker asked.

"That's right. This is my final gamble!" Yuya shouted as he put his hand on the top card of his deck. "I'm putting it all on the line...DRAW!"

Yuya's shout echoed throughout the entire void. His dramatic draw created an arc of light for a split second.

Yuya held the card out for a second, creating suspense, which is what all entertainers do.

Before even looking at the card he'd drawn...Yuya smirked which caused Playmaker's eyes to widen.

Yuya then glanced at the card and showed it to Playmaker. The card was...

"Monster Card, Entermate Springoose!" Yuya declared with a grin.

"N-No way...!" Playmaker said in disbelief.

"And by sending this card to the graveyard...the attack is negated!" Yuya shouted as the stop light turned red causing the attack to dissolve into beautiful golden particles.

"You knew what the card was before he looked at it, didn't you?" Playmaker asked.

"Hehehe, an entertainer never reveals his secrets." Yuya smiled.

"You really do have a strong connection to your deck. You truly are a worthy opponent, Yuya." Playmaker acknowledged.

"Playmaker..." Yuya uttered in a surprised tone.

"But I still have a chance with this! I activate the Continuous Spell, Link Processing Failure! By targeting Decode Talker, all Link monsters with lower link ratings then the target and monsters that aren't Link monsters cannot attack while the target is still on the field! Meaning, since you don't own any Link Monsters, you can't attack!" Playmaker shouted.

"WHAT?!" Yuya shouted in disbelief.

"Turn end." Playmaker concluded.

Yuya looked at his deck with as sweat dropped from his face.

"Yuya, this is no time to be getting nervous." Yuri told the Pendulum counterpart.

"Yeah! We've gotten this far!" Yugo added.

"We believe in you, Yuya." Yuto said with a confident tone.

"...That's right...I'm not alone...as long as I have the power of the bonds between my friends, hope isn't lost yet! My turn..."

Yuya closed his eyes and grasped the top card of his deck. He then opened his eyes with a determined expression as his blue pendulum pendant began to shine.

"...DRAW!"

Yuya swung his arm out as he drew, creating an arc of light with his arm motion. The card faintly glowed red as Yuya looked at it and smiled. "This is it! I'm going to win this duel! With the Scale 4 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, I set the Pendulum Scale!"

Odd Eyes 4 - 10 Ignition Eagle

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters with levels 5 through 9! Swing Pendulum! Draw an arc of light across the ether! PENDULUM SUMMON! Come forth from my Extra Deck, Supreme King White Dragon - Odd Eyes Wing Dragon!" Yuya shouted as a single light shot out of the portal revealing the white and blue dragon in the Main Monster zone Decode's top arrow pointed to.

Odd Eyes Wing Dragon (3000/2500) LVL: 8

"Decode Talker gains 500 more ATK since it now points to your monster! POWER INTEGRATION!" Playmaker shouted as his monster powered up even further.

Decode (3600)-(4100)

"Continuous Trap, Code Hack activate! As long as this card is on the field, Code Talkers on my field can't be destroyed by card effects! Now Decode won't be destroyed by your dragon's effect! YOU'VE LOST!"

"You think so?"

"What?!"

"Entermate Springoose's effect activates! By banishing this card in the graveyard, I can return 2 cards on my field back into my hand! I return Ignition Eagle and Odd Eyes in my Pendulum Zones back into my hand!" Yuya shouted as the two cards returned to his hand.

"What are you planning?" Playmaker asked.

Yuya looked at one of the cards in his hand. He closed his eyes and took a deep breathe. His eyes opened and he smiled while extending his arms out in the air.

"THE FUN...HAS JUST BEGUN!" Yuya shouted his catchphrase as if he was performing for an audience.

Playmaker grunted, knowing the boy had something planned.

"Let's go! I'll show you my all!" Yuya shouted as he held a single card upwards in his hand that had a golden light. "By releasing a Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz monsters on my field, I can summon this card in my hand!"

"Releasing your dragons?!" Playmaker shouted.

"I release the Fusion monster, Odd Eyes Venom Dragon! The Synchro monster, Odd Eyes Wing Dragon! And the Xyz monster, Odd Eyes Raging Dragon!" Yuya shouted. The 3 dragons dispersed into violet, blue, and red particles of energy. The particles began to merge together in the center of Yuya's field causing them to turn into a golden color.

"What is this...?!" Playmaker uttered.

"Transcended dragon with dual colored eyes! Use the power of the four dimensions to shine a ray of hope across all reality! Become the apex of evolution and destroy the darkness! Come forth! Level 12! Celestial dragon powered by hope! ODD EYES REVOLUTION DRAGON!" Yuya roared as the golden light enveloped the entire field. As the light dispersed, the shape of a large and powerful dragon appeared.

The dragon had sharp green and red eyes that glowed bright with a blue orb in the center of it's body, similar to Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon. The dragon's entire body was covered in silver armor with orange armor on the dragon's shoulders and legs along with golden claws on it's feet and hands. It had a large dark grey tail with golden edges at the end of it. It had silver armor along it's neck with golden armor on it's head that had green and red orbs on the sides and a blue orb in the middle. The dragon had 3 silver circular blades protruding form it's back with silver wings with golden lining begin then. The dragon's godly roar echoed throughout the void causing Playmaker to become worried.

Odd Eyes Revolution Dragon (?/?) LVL: 12

"That dragon...this pressure it's giving off...!"Playmaker uttered before shaking his head. "Since Decode Talker no longer points to your monster, it loses 500 ATK."

Decode(4100)-(3600)

"Hooray! We managed to bring it out!" Yugo cheered.

"Nice job, Yuya!" Yuto smiled.

"Let's finish this!" Yuri shouted.

"Odd Eyes Revolution's ATK and DEF become equal to half of my opponent's life points! Since you have 3125 life points, my dragon's ATK becomes 1563!" Yuya shouted. The dragon's eyes glowed as it roared while powering up.

Odd Eyes Revolution (?/?)-(1563/1563)

"But Decode Talker has much more ATK! And you won't be able to attack since your monster isn't a Link Monster due to my spell!" Playmaker shouted while pointing at the dragon.

"Then I'll just have to get rid of your cards!" Yuya shouted with a smirk.

"WHAT?!"

"Odd Eyes Revolution's effect activates! By paying half of my life points...!"

YUYA: 50-25 LP

"...All cards other cards on both of our fields and graveyards...ARE SHUFFLED BACK INTO OUR DECKS!" Yuya yelled as he extended his hand outwards toward his dragon.

"N-NO WAY!" Playmaker shouted in disbelief.

"Let's go! TRANSCENDED FORCE!" Yuya cried out. The dragon wrapped itself in golden aura as it flew high in the air. The dragon released it a golden wave of energy that engulfed Decode Talker, Link Processing Failure, Code Hack, and the two Cyberse token. The cards all turned into golden particles that flew back into Playmaker's deck. The graveyard of both players also was sent back into their decks.

"...But...I'll survive the turn!" Playmaker yelled.

"This has been the best duel ever, Playmaker. I'm glad I was able to help you. But...this is the finale!" Yuya declared with a grin. "I activate the Spell Card, Odd Eyes Accel! This card lets me normal summon an Odd Eyes monster from my hand without releasing!"

"WHAT?!" Playmaker shouted.

"Come forth! Wondrous and beautiful dragon with dichromatic eyes! ODD EYES PENDULUM DRAGON!" Yuya shouted as his ace dragon was summoned next to it's evolved form.

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2000) LVL: 7

"..." Playmaker's eyes widened at the sight of the two dragons. He felt like his whole body was shaking. He clenched his shaking fist and closed his eyes.

"BATTLE! Odd Eyes Revolution Dragons, attack Playmaker directly! Celestial Impact - SPIRAL ULTIMA BURST!" Yuya yelled. The dragon flew high in the sky as it was surrounded by golden light. Each of the circular pieces of armor on the dragon's back charged purple, cyan, and red energy respectively as the dragon charged golden energy in it's mouth. The dragon fired the four blasts, creating a colorful stream of energy that collided with Playmaker. The blast sent him flying far through the air.

"GAAAAAAAAHH!"

PLAYMAKER: 3125-1562 LP

Playmaker landed hard on his stomach, letting out a grunt of pain. He drove his shaking fist into the groundand forced himself onto hisfeet. He was now looking down causing the top of his face to be covered in darkness.

Many memories raced through Playmaker's head all at once. Memories of his friends being killed due to being defeated in their duels. The memories of him being nearly being electrocuted to death as a child almost overwhelmed.

But then he remembered enjoying dueling as a kid. He remembered Aoi and Go dueling to spread smiles to people. He remembered Takeru encouraging him during his duels. He remembered the many people of his world cheering for him. He remembered...Ai...being by his side.

He touched his chest with his hand, and then calmed his expression. "I...will no longer be afraid..."

"Playmaker..." Yuya uttered.

"...C'mon, Yuya! I won't be afraid! Don't hold back! Hit me with everything you got!" Playmaker shouted at his opponent.

"...Right! It's time for climax!" Yuya shouted as he jumped on top of his dragon's back. "Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Playmaker directly! With your dual colored eyes, lay waste to all that you see!"

The dragon ran forwards and jumped high in the air. The orbs on the dragon's body glowed brightly as the dragon charged a powerful red blast in it's mouth.

"So this is what it feels like..." Playmaker began as he watched Yuya and his dragon in the air.

"SPIRAL...STRIKE..."

"...to have..."

"...BURST!" Yuya yelled at the top of his lungs. Odd Eyes shot a large and powerful red blast that launched through the air at Playmaker.

"...Fun..." Playmaker uttered as he closed his eyes. The large blast collided with his body, sending him flying through the air.

As he flew backwards and his life points points slowly dropped, he cracked a smile.

"You really are something else, Yuya Sakaki..."

The blast dissipated with Playmaker laying on the ground with his eyes closed and a smile on his face.

It was over.

PLAYMAKER: 1562-0 LP

WINNER: YUYA!

"I won..." Yuya uttered with a relieved tone and a smile.

"WE DID IT!" Yugo shouted in excitement.

"Great job, Yuya." Yuto congratulated the pendulum counterpart.

"Thank god. I would have been majorly pissed off if we lost to that guy." Yuri admitted.

Yuya walked over to Playmaker and extended his hand outwards. Playmaker grabbed the other teen's hand and was pulled off the ground.

"That was the best duel ever, Playmaker." Yuya said with a childish grin.

"Yeah, it really was." Playmaker said with a happy tone. He then looked at his deck as he spoke. "You reminded me of the true meaning of dueling and why I began to duel long ago. For that, you have my unwavering gratitude."

"I'm glad I could help. It's my job as a Professional Entertainment Duelist after all!" Yuya said with a proud smile. "By the way, you have a nice smile. Be sure to do it more often."

"I'll try." Playmaker responded.

"And remember, don't push your friends away. If you fall into darkness, they will be the ones to pull you out. So don't lose them. Don't make that mistake." Yuya said as he remembered his friends fighting to save him while he was under Zarc's control.

"I understand. It's what Ai would've wanted." Playmaker said.

As he said this, his hand began to glow purple. Something began to materialize in Playmaker's hand, causing his eye's to widen. It was a letter with 3 words on it.

Find me, Yusaku.

A tear shed from Playmaker's eye as his heart skipped a beat. He knew exactly who this was from. He couldn't believe it.

"What is it?" Yuya asked.

"It's from my partner...Ai..." Playmaker answered.

The letter turned into purple particles that flowed into Playmaker's duel disk.

"It's as if he's leaving me a data trail...for me to find him...!" Playmaker realized.

Suddenly, a purple button appeared on both duelist's duel disk pads.

"Well then what are you waiting for? Go find your best friend!" Yuya shouted.

"...I'm happy I met you, Yuya Sakaki." Playmaker said extending his hand outwards.

"Thanks, Playmaker. You're an awesome duelist. I wish you the best of luck. And don't forget to smile every once in a while. It feels good." Yuya told Playmaker which caused him to let out a slight chuckle.

"One more thing. My name...is Yusaku Fujiki." Playmaker said to the Pendulum user.

"I see. Will we ever see each other again, Yusaku?" Yuya asked.

"I hope so. That way, I can get my rematch against you." Playmaker smirked.

"Hehehe...of course. You better get going. Don't want to leave your friend waiting, right?"

"Take care, Yusaku. I hope you find your partner." Yuya smiled.

"Thanks for everything, Yuya." Playmaker nodded. He then hit the button causing a purple portal to appear in front of him.

He then jumped into the portal and in a flash, he was gone.

Yuya took a deep breath of relief and fell to the ground out of exhaustion.

"Tired?" Yuri asked with a smirk.

"No...just resting my body..." Yuya responded while closing his eyes.

"You did good today, Yuya. You really helped him out." Yuto said in a proud tone.

"Of course he did. He can't help it. Right, Yuya? Uh, Yuya?" Yugo tried getting Yuya's attention, but it turns out he was falling asleep.

"I'm awake!" Yuya shouted as he quickly woke up.

"Heh. Let's get out of here. This place is boring." Yuri said while crossing his arms.

"Yeah. You can sleep when we get home." Yugo told the teen.

"Don't forget, if time didn't pass at all in our world, you still only have a few hours until your date with Yuzu." Yuto reminded causing the boy to freak out.

"Oh no I completely forgot about that!" Yuya shouted as he popped off the ground. He quickly hit the button causing a purple portal to appear behind him.

He smiled as he faced the empty void away from the portal. He bowed as if he just performed for an audience.

"Alright, let's go!" Yuya shouted as he jumped into the portal...

It had been 2 hours since Yuya had returned to his world. After sleeping for a while, it was time to see his girlfriend.

After saying goodbye to his parents, he set off to the park.

"Heh, it's ironic how we are meeting at this park." Yuto sighed.

"You mean the park I kicked your ass in?" Yugo smirked.

"Only because Yuya talked me out of killing you." Yuto said causing Yugo to get angry.

"Why you-" Yugo grunted.

"Shut it, Fusion." Yuri said with a smirk.

"Grrrr" Yugo growled.

"Guys, calm down. I can't have you guys talking while I try talking to Yuzu." Yuya said with a sigh.

"Yuya!" The pink haired girl called out from the bench she was sitting on.

"Good luck." Yuto said before the three disappeared.

"Hey, Yuzu." Yuya smiled as he kissed his girlfriend on her cheek before sitting down. "How's your day been going?"

"Eh, pretty normal. You?"

"Oh boy do I have a story for you..."

Yuya proceeded to tell Yuzu about the recent events that had happened to him, which left her completely speechless.

"Wow...so that guy could Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Ritual Summon? And he also could do something called Link Summon? Not only that, but you guys used a completely different dueling format that limited Pendulum? AND you still won?!" Yuzu questioned in amazement and shock.

"Of course!" Yuya said with a proud tone.

"And you are positive this wasn't a dream?" Yuzu asked.

"I swear on my life it all happened! You know I would never lie to you, Yuzu." Yuya said making the girl blush.

"Y-Yeah I know..." Yuzu responded. "To think their is another reality that's separate from the four dimensions..."

"At this point, anything is possible..." Yuya said.

"Yeah. You do know we should probably tell Reiji about this, right? If there really are other realities out there, he should be the first one to know."

"I figured that. We can tell him, but not right now. I would like to spend some time with my girlfriend." Yuya smiled.

The two shared a kiss after Yuya's words. After all the separation they had to deal with during the war, they were finally together.

They were finally happy.

Yusaku was now back in his room. He looked at his clock an no time had passed at all. He looked at his duel disk that was blinking purple.

He was going to find Ai. Then, he was going to see his friends once more.

"I'll definitely find you, Ai! I promise!" Playmaker shouted as he held up his duel disk that shined bright, wasting no time.

The following scene of VRAINS played.

Kusanagi and his brother were doing well and were working at the hot dog stand.

Aoi came to the stand and talked to Kusanagi about Yusaku's unknown whereabouts. She still remained hopeful that he would return.

Akira lad been promoted to CEO of Sol Tech and was determined to protect LINK VRAINS from havoc.

Frog and Pigeon were still searching for scoops in the new expanded LINK VRAINS while Emma (as Ghost Girl) and her brother Kengo (as Blood Sheppard) were working together.

Go had returned to professional dueling and his original outfit. He was showed being victorious in his duel with the children cheering for him.

The three Knights of Hanoi were shown watching over the expanding world of LINK VRAINS as a way of atoning for their crimes. The AI Pandor also joined them.

Takeru (as Soulburner) was showing his girlfriend LINK VRAINS for the first time. He had also remained hopeful that Playmaker would return with what he was looking for. Naoki (as Brave Max) noticed the two and became jealous, wanting to find someone for himself.

Ryoken (as Revolver) and Spectre observed LINK VRAINS. Spectre was concerned that Yusaku hadn't returned to them but Ryoken reassured him that his rival would return. He knew Yusaku would accomplish his goal. He always did.

Yusaku (as Playmaker) flew through the inner parts of LINK VRAINS as his duel disk blinked purple, signifying he was getting closer to his destination.

He flew through the inner parts of LINK VRAINS towards the core of the system. There was a large yellow and blue sphere with pieces of data orbiting around it.

He flew forward on his D-Board towards the core with a determined expression.

He was no longer afraid to face his future.

He was going to find his partner, no matter what.

"INTO THE VRAINS!"

"It worked..." A black and purple sphere of data with a large eye uttered with a happy tone as he watched Playmaker on a screen.

"Soyour plan worked, Ai? Does this mean he's coming for us?" A female voice coming from behind the sphere. There were four spheres glowing behind the black and purple sphere that were red, green, blue, and orange respectively.

"Yeah..." Ai responded before looking back to the screen. "I'm counting on you...Yusaku...!"

Holy mother of god! I can't believe I finished this. I was so worried that it wouldn't be done, but I managed to finish it! I'm really happy about how this duel turned out. I'm glad that I didn't resort to using any fanmade cards. It was so fun to make and I had a great time making it.

This is sort of like a re-write or AU of the ending of VRAINS.

In the original, the final scene is Ai waking up in a mysterious place in LINK VRAINS (presumably 3 months after he dueled Yusaku)

But in this story, that happened directly after his duel with Playmaker. This gave him enough time to set up his plans. And if you are wondering how they were able to hack a duel disk in a different world, let's just say they are in a part of the Cyberse World that connects through out different worlds or something and by using the power of all the Ignis, they were able to create some sort of pocket dimension connected to LINK VRAINS.

I also made it so the ending was much happier. I decided to have all the ignis stay alive. I guess I could say when the ignis died, they somehow rebooted into this world. And Lightning would possibly still be alive.

And before some of you start typing reviews about how this sucks since Yusaku didn't win,here me out. I had Yuya win because I kinda wanted this to be like Jaden vs Yugi with the older protag helping the younger portage find something they lost long ago. And I thought it would be more impactful for Yusaku if he lost. The duel could have gone either way in my opinion, and a draw with Yuya's Cross Damage felt anticlimactic. And I bet most of you didn't expect Revolution Dragon.

Also, I'm sorry that I didn't include Firewall Dragon in the duel, but Playmaker didn't use that card after he got Darkfluid. So maybe the Firewall card literally evolved Darkfluid? Also, they never used Firewall Dragon so forgive me if I considered Decode Talker as Yusaku's ace. I did this because on the protag box for the tcg, Decode was shown as Yusaku's ace. And please don't rage in the reviews about it.

Honestly, maybe after I get Altered Destiny to a good place, I feel like I could potentially make a series out of this. But we'll see.
