A/N: We are here once again with chapter 5 of Tales from the Sayian Empire, the first "real" fight of the story I hope you enjoy!
"So these are the humans you think are capable of standing against us sayian's" Vegeta scoffed looking between the people in front of him none of them seemed any more powerful than any other on this planet, this earned the sayian prince a punch to the top of the head from his older sister.
"Yes, each group will choose three fighters to demonstrate their power in one vs one fights" the red haired man announced. "But first allow me to introduce myself, my name is Sho " he said with a bow.
"Nice to meet you Sho, my name is Zandra and the rude shorty is my younger brother Vegeta. The tall man is our body guard Bardock his mate Gine is standing to his left their son Raditz is to his right, and our companions Biri no Kari and Master Roshi" Zandra said returning the bow.
"Master Roshi eh very interesting where did you meet a man such as him I thought he disappeared to secluded island that no-one had the coordinates for" Sho responded skeptically.
"I assure you young man I am the Turtle Hermit Roshi" Roshi said while stepping forward, "and I would still be on that island but i was found by this beauty who asked me to train her" the lecherous old man said as he began to rub Biri's butt again.
Biri was about to hit the old man but she found he was already across the clearing on skidding on his face, now standing where Roshi was before was Lazuli who was pushing a stray hair behind her ear. "Uh-thanks... hehe" Biri said nervously, 'I didnt even see her move...'
"Don't mention it, I cant stand men like that" Lazuli said stoically before returning to where she was before.
"Okay where were we... oh yes I was just about to choose my three fighters" Sho said happily, he had enjoyed to whole display finding it humorous. "My choices are Rooker, Jonas, and Pawm."
"I'm fighting anyone have an issue with that" Vegeta asked while glaring at his sister.
"Not at all Veggie just don't lose, your sayian pride and all" Zandra Laughed, Vegeta simply ignored his sister and decided to glare at the human's in front of him.
"Ill also fight" Raditz announced as he walked up to stand near Vegeta.
"Guess ill fight aswell I'm here to train after all" Biri said while joining the boys.
"Very good, Kingsley you fight the fox girl she is the strongest of the three, Rooker, Pawm you two choose who it doesn't really matter there both around the same the power" Sho said with a smile.
"Ill fight first" Vegeta almost ordered stepping into the clearing away from the others.
Rooker stepped forward to face the Sayian prince, "Ill fight ya young'n" the man grunted as he cracked his neck before slipping into a wide stance holding both his hands out in a stance that resembled a bear. Vegeta scoffed at the human standing before him before charging forward intending to end the fight as quickly as possible, but when he got within Rooker's attack range he was knocked to the ground by what seemed to be an invisible force.
Looking up from the ground Vegeta saw that one of Rooker's hands had dropped, with a growl he vaulted backwards while throwing off a few energy blasts. Rooker dodged to the left and attempted to charge only to see Vegeta was on him preparing to attack, Vegeta began the encounter with a right jab aimed at his opponent's head. Rooker caught the Sayian princes attack before dragging Vegeta into a bear hug and beginning to squeeze, Vegeta grunted as he began to power up in an attempt to free himself. The attempt seemed to be in vain until Vegeta gave a yell and his power peaked, this loosened the stout man's grip enough for Vegeta bring his knees up allowing the prince to wrench his way from the grasp. Flipping away he began to charge the Galick Gun, Rooker noting he'd be done for if he would be hit with the blast from Vegeta charged forward hoping to catch the prince off guard. However Vegeta had planned for this and waited for the last second before letting his attack fizzle away, following with a full power kick to the side of the stout man's head sending Rooker flying.
"That's enough! I've seen all I need from this fight." Sho announced seemingly annoying Rooker who returned to his spot with a growl.
"I'm sure he could have continued without risk to his health why did you end the fight?" Vegeta questioned not liking winning this way.
"You have impressed me enough with your battle awareness and tactics plus I have no want to have any of my fighters injured in this test." Sho said while waving off the Sayian prince.
"I'm up next!" Raditz exclaimed happy to have the chance to impress his father.
"Guess that means it's my turn" Pawm said while quickly stretching, once young man stepped into the field he slipped into a boxing stance.
Raditz thinking this would be easy charged forward without thinking, however Pawm was no longer standing where he was and Raditz could not see him. Looking around Raditz caught a glimpse of his human opponent's fist which hit him squarely in the jaw sending him to the ground and making him skid across it leaving a crater in his wake. Crawling out of the crater Raditz once again caught sight of the attack coming his way this time he instinctively turned and headbutted the incoming punch sending his attacker reeling, Raditz could feel a sharp pain in his head but he ignored it. He charged forward pushing the advantage he had bought. The long haired Sayian started his onslaught with a full power kick to the leg sending Pawm to the ground, following with a punch to the right shoulder to inhibit movement causing Pawm's next attack to barely miss. Raditz jumped backward intending to end the fight with a blast, this unfortunately gave Pawm just enough time to recover and he began to charge his own attack his right hand glowing with Ki. As Raditz unleashed the blast he had been charging Pawm charged forward to launch his attack, Raditz' blast met with Pawm's charged fist and to Raditz' dismay his attack flew harmlessly into the distance.
"That's that" Sho said with a shrug, "Its 1/1 now." Raditz slinked back to his parents with his head hung low. "I guess that brings us to the grand finale" Sho chuckled.
With the end of his leader's statement Kingsley stepped forward, Biri matched her opponent despite the size difference. "I wont hold back on you girly, you best give up now." Kingsley commented as he rolled his shoulders, Biri simply shrugged and slipped into a very low stance while revealing her sharp claws.
Kingsley however did not enter his own fighting stance he simply stood his ground with his arms crossed, this confused the Nokari but Biri did not let that impede her next movement. Biri charged forward readying her claws to attack she feinted a high attack to go for the knees of her large opponent, however as she attempted to cut the ligaments of Kingsley's knees she felt a sharp pain in her index and middle finger. Looking down the young Nokari saw her claws on her aforementioned fingers had been ripped off, Biri could feel rage boiling inside her at the sight. "You are lucky those grow back or id have to kill you" Biri commented coldly.
Kingsley despite himself felt a chill run down his spine at the aliens words, within moments the fight began again.
"That human is quite formidable, to be able to take the slash of a Nokari with no damage and to rip said claws off simply by taking the attack I dont believe I could even pull off such a feat" Bardock commented offhandedly while not removing his eyes from the fight, Biri hand switched to using punches and Kingsley had begun to take a more offensive approach though none of his attacks had hit yet.
Raditz was surprised by his fathers words, "What do you mean? He cant be stronger than you!"
Bardock removed his eyes from the fight for a moment to look at his son, "I'm not saying he is he is simply a different type of fighter, he focuses solely on defence letting his tanky body do the damage to his opponent." When Bardock's eyes travelled back to the fight it was reaching its conclusion, Biri was standing about twenty feet away from Kingsley breathing heavily while Kingsley was again standing still with small bits of blood dotting his body his breaths steady and calm.
Biri growled knowing she was fighting a losing battle, "Fine I'm done messing around! Now you will feel the might of the Noble Nokari line!" Biri shouted as her hands began to glow, Kingsley noting this attack was far beyond anything this girl had used so far slipped into a defensive stance for the first time with his hands in front of himself at the eleven and four o'clock positions. "Nokari Style Dancing Phoenix Flam..." before she could finish the incantation Bardock appeared before her grasping both her arms.
"That's enough you lost Biri that technique will do you no good" Bardock scolded.
"What! I can still beat him!" she argued.
"Really look at his stance for a moment" Bardock said while releasing her arms and moving so she could get a good look at his stance. At first glance Biri saw nothing wrong but after a moment she saw what she had been missing his stance was one of redirection. "He was just going to redirect the attack else where but he would have most likely sent it back at you to cause the least damage to his planet."
Biri slinked back to the group contemplating her mistake that could have been quite dire if it were not for Bardock, she sat on a rock with her head in her hands ignoring the looks and comment of reassurance from Gine.
Sho clapped a few times as he walked up, "That was quite impressive" he said with a chuckle. "It seems you guys are the real deal not just power with no brain."
"Watch yourself human you may be strong but only you and that Kingsley guy would even come close to the power of an elite Sayian, we are a race of warriors dont doubt us again." Bardock growled as he was growing tired of this farce.
Sho had to suppress a shudder at the small flex of power that Bardock let out, "Okay friend I didnt mean any offence i was simply surprised as all its not to common around here." This statement didnt seem to help as Bardock growled again making Gine slap him on the arm and quietly scold him, "Well you guys definitely proved your ability's why dont we sit down for a feast and discuss this alliance you are proposing." Sho continued quickly hoping to diffuse the situation, it worked well as all the Sayian's began to smile at the mention of a feast.
"That sounds great!" Gine exclaimed excited she would not have to cook, Bardock simply nodded in response. Sho smiled and with a wave led the group inside.
Later that night while mostly everyone was sleeping Biri was wandering the compound while thinking about her fight earlier, her mind raced through events. She had let her emotions get the best of her and it could have cost her, her life and possibly the lives of anyone behind her. Looking down at her bandaged fingers she felt angry again but this time it was at herself, and she couldn't help but remember what her mother had told her about the claws of the Nokari.
A young Biri sat in a field of bright blue flowers looking up to her mother the queen of the Nokari people, Bari her mother was sitting on a stump holding a chunk of Nokaruim the hardest metal Planet Nokari. "Biri do you know why the Nokari people have such pride in our claws?" Biri shook her head no making the older Nokari smile, "Because it was our claws that led our ancestor Bakr Nokari and his army's to take our planet back from the tyrannical clutches of our ancient enemy. The Sykari a race of snake people that enslaved our people many thousands of years ago. Our claws are also what brings every Nokari together as every Nokari is born with the same claws noble or not our claws have the same strength." she punctuated her statement by ripping the metal apart.
Biri was brought out of her thoughts by someone talking to her, "Being out at night around here isnt the safest thing in the world, I know you are strong but we are still at war and day dreaming on the ramparts is a good way to get yourself killed" Lazuli said as she walked into view.
Biri had no memory of walking out onto the ramparts of the compound, the surprise turned to anger towards Lazuli. "I wasn't daydreaming!"
"Whatever you say princess" Lazuli snarked as she leaned against the wall.
Before Biri could respond a large explosion from the other side of the compound rocked the area, "What the hell!" Biri yelled as she covered her ears.
"Red Ribbon!" Lazuli growled as she took to the air, Biri followed after her hoping to find some assholes to take her anger out on. Getting her wish the girls quickly ran into a squadron of Red Ribbon Soldiers, "Don't take them lightly they have been enhanced and they can deal fatal damage if you let your guard down." Lazuli announced as she rushed into combat.
Biri followed the blonde into battle grabbing the first soldier by the head and slamming him face first into the ground, another unfortunate soldier who came to help his comrade had his arm severed by Biri's claws making him scream.
After dealing with the squad Lazuli and Biri attempted to regroup with the rest of the army which was fighting at the front of the compound, as they rounded the front they could see everyone fighting off wave after wave of mechanically enhanced soldiers. Landing in the middle of the group they were met with a chorus "Where were you" echoed around the group.
"We were on the other side of the compound, we also got slowed down by a group of soldiers" Lazuli responded dryly before she and Biri joined the fight.
After taking out another soldier Vegeta spoke, "Enough with this lets just end them all." Jumping back the young Sayian began to charge energy in both his hands before throwing them forward taking out a large number of the soldiers in front of him causing a chain reaction taking most of the other enhanced. "Why didn't we do that before" he said with a smirk admiring his work.
"So we would cause as little damage as possible" Sho growled as he pointed to the destruction that was now scattered around the area including crops and supplies, Vegeta growled in embarrassment before turning away.
After clearing up the remaining Red Ribbon soldiers a voice echoed through the area, "My, my you took out my enhanced like they were nothing Impressive" an elderly male voice announced. The fighters looked towards the voice to see an old man surrounded by six beings standing around him, a large red headed man in a green outfit. A red haired woman wearing a lab coat and checkered dress with a pair of glasses on her nose, the next was a tall man with white hair wearing a hat green vest and blue jeans. Along side the white haired main stood a tall white skinned man with a long braid, and a short purple man wearing a weird hat and yellow coat. The final bystanders was a clown looking man wearing an orange outfit, and a tall green bug like creature "But you will find my cyborgs much more of a contest, especially if my two great creations 17 and 18 rejoin the fold."
"We will never join you Gero" Lapis yelled while firing a powerful blast at the Doctor, however the blast was absorbed by the clown looking cyborg.
"Oh I'm sure this will change your mind" Gero smirked as he pulled out a remote.
