A/N: So I'm aware some heroes like Metal Bat and Tank Top Master are supposed to be here. However, they won't be appearing here, as some of these characters have important roles in the next season. Plus, there are enough characters here already…
P.S, I had a piece of really cool art commissioned for this fic, if you want to see it, you can read this chapter on Wattpad or Quotev. My username is FridayHater on Wattpad, and iHateFridays on Quotev.
Where were all the cute boys when you needed them?
Puri-Puri Prisoner kept asking himself that question. Of course, there had been that simple but cute school boy with the black hair, but he had mysteriously vanished. As for the other S Class heroes… he was concerned about Child Emperor and Flashy Flash. He had not heard anything from them. He hoped they were still alive.
"Angel Crawl!" he yelled, shoving through the walls of the underground passage that was known as the Monster Association's base. It was incredibly deep and complex; he had to wonder how long the monsters had been planning to rise…
Then, he saw a humanoid figure ahead slumped on the ground. Was it a cute boy? He got a bit closer.
Yes, it was a cute boy! It was the same boy from before! The boy that had been so hopeless and lost.
"Don't worry, cutie, I'm coming!" Puri-Puri Prisoner shouted.
The boy turned around. His face was panic-stricken. His grey eyes were bloodshot.
"No!" he cried. "Stay away!"
Puri-Puri Prisoner giggled. "Don't worry, cutie, I'll protect you!"
But then he realised the boy wasn't looking at him. He was looking at…
Puri Puri Prisoner cried out, feeling a sword go straight through his back.
What the…
He glanced over his shoulder, seeing a girl. A familiar schoolgirl. The A Class hero Yan-chan.
"You…?" he asked. "Why have you…"
But it was too late. His vision clouded out, blood forming around his large corpse. And he was gone, just as quick as he came.
Ayano cackled, falling to her knees. Her eyes were as soulless as ever.
"Finally," she giggled. She turned to Taro. "Now, the monsters are next."
Fubuki realised she was face to face with none other than the Hero Hunter. But he was different from before. There was something awfully… twisted and warped about him. Something inhuman.
This is him, Fubuki realised. The center of all that's happened.
She sent a barrage of stones flying towards him. To her horror, he knocked them all down with ease.
"Heh… I feel… different," Garou admitted. "Hey, little one down there, you in the rags… what do I look like?"
Fubuki gasped. She fell to her knees.
"A monster…" she uttered.
Atomic Samurai muttered a curse under his breath. While he was glad his disciples were safe, he and his fellow S Class heroes had another problem to worry about. Another monster had appeared, and it was proving difficult to defeat.
He scowled, gripping his sword. Child Emperor was missing, most likely deceased, and the same went for Flashy Flash. Puri-Puri Prisoner had disappeared underground somewhere.
"You boys are hopeless," Tatsumaki scoffed. Using her powers, she sent debris flying. The monster was easily dragged away in the wind.
Pig God breathed out in relief, muttering something about how he wouldn't have to use his 'ultimate move'. Atomic Samurai side-glanced at him.
What's he talking about? he thought.
Black Sperm decided to make a reappearance, glaring at Tatsumaki. It was his turn to fight.
"You won't be able to beat ten thousand of me!" he boomed. His clones merged together, creating a large, towering figure.
Tatsumaki scoffed, flicking her fingers. "Yeah right. Ten thousand of you can't even last a minute against me."
Black Sperm cried out, feeling his body fall apart like a mound of bricks. He scowled.
It's not over yet, he thought. I've still got one last back-up plan…
He reached out, sensing a human child. Tareo, the hostage. He grabbed the boy's arm, holding him in place. Tareo screamed.
"I've got your precious hostage!" he taunted the heroes. "Aren't you going to come and get him?"
Homeless Emperor groaned, sitting up. His body creaked in pain. Zombieman was too tough. Much tougher than he'd thought. He pushed debris out of his way, looking left and right. He had to regenerate himself, get stronger-
And then he saw her, standing above him.
The girl that God had been talking about. God's secret weapon. She was holding a chainsaw. She raised it above the monster's neck, expression blank and empty. Just like a doll's.
"No…" Homeless Emperor croaked. "Wait, just listen to me for a second…"
Ayano stared at him, blankly, uninterested. Red strings were surrounding her body. She was more of a monster than even Psykos.
"We have the same master," Homeless Emperor said, reaching out with desperation. "We can be a team… you and me. Let's destroy humanity together…"
Ayano raised her chainsaw again.
"No, please!" Homeless Emperor pleaded. "I don't want to die here… give me another chance! God, please…" he whimpered. "God, have mercy on me..."
Then he saw God's face through the girl. Its disformed figure, its glowing eyes. It was just like her.
Failure, God hissed. Worthless.
Homeless Emperor screamed one last time, before his head rolled off. His death had been so quick. So empty. It was like he had meant nothing to God in the end.
He saw the girl chasing after another monster. The S Class hero Silverfang was fighting a monster as well, alongside his brother and Demon Cyborg.
Secret weapon… Homeless Emperor thought. She'll wipe this world clean…
His eyes went shut. Well, I've got one last secret weapon too...
And then he exploded, knocking out Demon Cyborg, Silverfang, and his brother.
Black Sperm was bewildered. What was King trying to achieve?
After muttering what the monster believed to be a curse, he had run away. Almost in a cowardly fashion. Although, knowing King, it was probably part of some master plan.
Black Sperm scowled to himself, grip tightening on Tareo. "Maybe I should break the boy's legs, just in case of an emergency."
And then he felt an entirely new presence. A dangerously strong presence.
"Your case of emergency has just happened." a voice growled. A familiar voice. Black Sperm could've recognised that bratty tone anywhere.
Black Sperm glowered, turning around. "Hey hey hey, how is Garou still a-"
And then a fist went through his face, knocking it back.
"Who the Hell is that?!" the S Class heroes questioned, staring at the new monster. His hair resembled horns, and tape swirled around his body, almost like Ayano's strings. His features were monstrous, but hard to describe. He was somewhat like a shadow.
"Listen closely, shitty brat," Garou addressed Tareo. "Tonight, those who tried to kill you, and those who tried to save you… none will survive. I am going to crush your outlook on life. I'll show you the truth about those heroes."
"Garou, ugh…" Black Sperm got up, shaking with rage. "What are you?!"
"I was just a human," Garou said simply.
"Don't get cocky, you only surprised us," Black Sperm taunted, forming a huge fist. "You fool! You can't even abandon your human-"
"My human self…" Garou said, raising a deadly hand, "is dead."
Black Sperm was defeated with one simple slash. His clones disappeared, leaving only one remaining organism. The small creature sat on the debris, rubbing a hand against his pale forehead.
What was that blow?! he thought. He totally took me out… I've got no remaining cells.
A shadow approach from behind. Sweat crawled down his back.
He looked up. A girl was looming above him, her smile more horrifying than Orochi himself. God's secret weapon.
"Oh hell no," Black Sperm said, backing up. "You crazy bitch, you stay the hell away from-"
But it was too late. The girl stuck a knife right through his body.
Black Sperm cursed himself, his small body going slack.
Dammit… he thought. All this to get killed by some little girl…
Garou's grin was dark and twisted, warped and inhuman. His body reformed itself, bones cracking. His horns grew longer, and his skin became thick. A dark aura surrounded him.
Fureddo stood back, clenching his fists.
Itachi glowered, standing nearby Fureddo. "What the Hell is that thing?!"
Ayano glanced at Garou. Finally… the S Class heroes will be taken out.
Garou approached the group of heroes. "You're all so pathetic… it didn't take much to knock you all down, did it? I guess that's because you can't do anything without Goddess' help."
The heroes bared their teeth.
"Aw, c'mon," Garou laughed. "You know it's true. Look at you, Atomic Samurai. You're nothing without your precious sword. Pig God, you eat twice as much as any human for your 'hero duties', and all you do is produce twice the amount of shit. And Zombieman? You're nothing but a hypocrite. You're a monster too, aren't you?"
Zombieman gritted his teeth. "Shut up, you…"
"Genos," Garou addressed Genos. "How light you are! You should've killed me a few days ago. Now you're nothing but a piece of scrap metal."
Genos frowned. His blood, hair, and textile features have all mixed together in this deformed way… does that mean his wish to become a monster came true?
"And of course we have these two weaklings," Garou said, gesturing to Itachi and Fureddo. "Don't even get me started on you two."
Itachi narrowed his eyes. "Who are you calling 'weakling', doofus?!"
"You guys are the heroes," Garou declared, pointing at the heroes, "and I'm the monster. Is that clear enough for you?"
Suddenly, a huge boulder went flying towards Garou. He easily sliced the boulder into pieces.
"So this is the power of the Tornado of Terror," he growled. "To my current state… It's nothing special. Not much better than your sister."
Tatsumaki's face shadowed over. "You…" rocks flew around her form, her power crackling. "What have you done to Fubuki?!"
"Her dead body's over there," Garou said, gesturing behind his shoulder.
Tatsumaki let out a battle cry. She sent everything she had at Garou, but he simply avoided the attacks. Her rocks were sliced down faster than the eye could see.
"He's punching them down at hyper-speed…" Atomic Samurai gasped, eyes widening.
Itachi balled his fists. "I'm sick of this doofus. Let me have a go at him!"
"Itachi!" Fureddo cried, but Itachi ignored him. Itachi raced towards the fight, gritting his teeth.
"Itachi-senpai!" Miyuji yelled, standing up. Atomic Samurai grabbed her arm, helping her stand. "Stay back!"
But Itachi ignored her. He approached Garou, holding out his fists.
"Let's do this, dofus," Itachi hissed.
"You wanna die so badly, puny weakling?" Garou chuckled, almost light-heartedly. "Take this!"
He threw a large rock at Itachi. The rock was faster than anything Itachi had ever seen. It hit him in the head with a sharp crash. Itachi fell over, landing in a pool of his blood. His breaths were frail. His eyes fluttered weakly.
"Itachi!" Fureddo cried out, forcing back his tears. He ran over, grabbing Itachi's body.
"Hold on, Itachi, you'll survive this," Fureddo told him.
"That idiot deserved it," Garou grunted, rolling his eyes. "He ran straight into his own death!"
Fureddo clenched his fists, forcing himself to stay calm.
"I am the Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist!" Garou screamed, avoiding a set of rocks from Tatsumaki. "Something as unreliable as God shall be crushed by my hands as well!"
"ATOMIC SLASH!" Atomic Samurai yelled, but his move did nothing to slow down Garou. Pig God was punched back, just as useless.
"Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist has no weak spot!" Garou boomed.
Tatsumaki was glowing with green energy. "USING MY REMAINING POWER… I'LL RIP YOU TO SHREDS!"
She cried out, her power surrounding Garou. Everyone held their breath. But of course, Garou simply shrugged her power off.
"I got used to your psychic power," he chuckled.
"If my brain was unharmed, you'd only take my five seconds…" Tatsumaki spat, blood dripping down her forehead.
"Is that so?" Garou asked, walking towards the esper. "Here, let me lend you a hand with releasing you."
He flicked her forehead, and she passed out on the spot.
"King isn't here, it seems," Garou shrugged. "With that, the strike team against the Monster Association has been annihilated, I think."
Fureddo backed up, hiding behind the rubble, holding Itachi's body. He felt his eyes burn. Everyone was gone. Deceased, or knocked immobile. He had no idea where Yan-chan or Taro were, either. Which meant... Garou had won.
Dammit, he whimpered. We're done for!
"Prisoner!" Zombieman shouted, banging against the ground. "Darkshine! Stay down there! Wait, what?" His clammy skin got even paler. "Prisoner's dead…? No! We… we have to get back to HQ!"
"Hm, guess I'll pay the HQ a visit," Garou decided, casually.
"No… you won't."
Garou recognised that voice in a heartbeat. He turned around, facing Raibaru Fumetsu.
"You're still alive, Rai-chan?" he taunted.
Raibaru looked at him, her eyes blood red. Her arms were surrounded with red string.
"Have you become a monster too?" Garou asked. He laughed. "Heh heh… we're best friends to the end, aren't we, Rai-chan?"
Raibaru didn't say anything. She took a step forward, fists clenched. Her movements were strangely jagged.
"Don't worry, you'll fall just like the rest of these worthless heroes," Garou taunted. "I used to think you were better than them… but I was wrong. You're a spineless idiot just like the rest of them, aren't you, Rai-chan?"
Raibaru zoomed next to Garou, pigtails flowing behind her. She was the only one left standing. Her master had fallen unconscious. Osana and Budo were dead. And Ayano and Garou were nothing but traitors. Her love was dead.
"I have nothing but myself in this world," she uttered, voice emotionless. "Everyone else is dead to me."
"Feeling despair, huh?" Garou asked. "Too bad for you, Rai-chan."
Raibaru sliced her hand forward, cutting into Garou's shoulder. Strings wrapped around his arm.
Garou gritted his sharpened teeth. Raibaru's eyes were filled with a haunting, familiar emptiness.
"What the Hell…" he muttered. "When did you learn…"
And then he saw visions of his childhood. Bullies, mistreatment, abandonment. Monsters, heroes, justice. It all hit him at once.
Only when I started acting like a 'normal person', the bullying stopped. But inside, nothing changed. I was still empty. Society has rules, Garou. And if you don't fit in, they throw you out. That is the flaw of this world.
Screw justice and evil. I don't care about that! I just want to strike a blow for the little guy!
"You really think you can bring me down like this?!" Garou roared.
Garou nodded. "I'm going to become a monster!"
Raibaru just kept staring at him. "Why would you want to become a monster?"
"Because monsters don't get the attention they deserve!" Garou yelled. He stood up. "I'll start by taking you out!"
He lunged towards her, but once again, she knocked him back with one blow.
He glared at her from his spot on the floor. "How did you get so strong, dammit?!"
"Lots of training," she replied. She offered a hand. "I can help you get stronger, if you want. After all, Bang-sensei is okay with you staying."
Garou glowered at her hand. "You can help me… get stronger…?"
Raibaru nodded. Garou muttered something, then stood up, grabbing her hand.
"Quit showing me our shitty memories!" Garou yelled, falling to his knees. "What are you trying to prove?!"
"Well, once I get there, I'm thinking of starting a Martial Arts Club," Raibaru said. "Then I can teach more people to defend themselves!"
She always has other people's interests in mind, Garou thought. But what about me and her?
"So," he coughed. "We're friends, ain't we?"
"Of course we are!" Raibaru replied. "Why wouldn't we be?"
"No, I get it…" Garou looked up at her. "You…"
But she was gone.
Damn her, Garou thought, sitting by himself. So I guess she's given up on me too.
His glare hardened. She's no better than those heroes. She was nice for a while, but then she left me, just like they all do.
He stared at his fists. I don't need that dumb bitch anymore. I'm gonna get stronger alone. And then... I'll finally become a monster.
"It's you, isn't it, Ayano?" Garou asked. "You're controlling Raibaru."
Ayano emerged from the rubble, strings in hand. The same strings around Raibaru. Her expression matched Raibaru's.
Garou chuckled. "Heh… I knew you were going to try to kill me. You're too predictable, you stupid idiot. That's why… I'm gonna kill YOU first."
He zoomed towards Ayano, clashing with her dagger. Strings surrounded her form. The two slashed and slashed.
"You're a monster too, aren'tcha?" he asked. He tch-ed. "No… you're worse than that. You've broken more people than any of those damn monsters." He laughed. "You think you're real tough, don'tcha, Yan-chan?"
He shoved her back. Her broken shoulder mended itself.
"You want everyone dead," he cackled. "Ya told me you wanted to fix society, didn'tcha? That's a lie. You want to destroy it. There's no fixing anywhere. You just wanna burn it all down to ashes. You don't care about fixing anything. You only care about destruction."
Ayano stared at him.
Destroy the world… destroy the world…
"I'm not gonna let ya," Garou told her, grinning sadistically. "Y'know why? Because this monster needs a world to terrorise! I'm a threat to whatever yer plan is. That's why you're trying to take me out."
"No, we can still work together," Ayano coughed out, her form glitching. "God means good for us, Garou. It wants me to destroy society so we can build it up again. We will have a fair world. You do not understand."
"That's bull, and you know it," Garou spat. "I know what you are. You wanna become the strongest. You don't care about anything else. You're the one who doesn't understand."
"Need to become the strongest," Ayano corrected.
"Need to become the strongest," Garou agreed with a hiss, "no matter what. You were gonna kill me from the start. All of this…" he spread his arms. "Was part of yer plan. You were using me. But that's okay. Because you're gonna fail. I'm gonna kill your stupid yandere ass. I'll take down you and yer damn God."
Ayano stood up, her strings reaching for Garou. He sliced them away, getting closer to her. She backed up, as he towered above her. His form took up her entire vision.
"Y'know, you really are like those heroes," he told her. "You're worthless."
And then everything went black.
HEARTBROKEN
Ayano saw her again. The girl with deathly pale skin, white hair, and black veins. A washed out school uniform.

She faded out from sight.
God's form suddenly appeared in Ayano's vision, deforming and twisting. "Rejoin the fight… my secret weapon."
There was a flash of light. And then Ayano was living again.
She sat up. Garou was walking away, leaving her weak body behind. Before she could attack, she felt the ground rumbling beneath her. Loud noises overhead.
Something big was coming.
Garou looked at the sky. The heroes, who were barely conscious, copied him. The sky was full to the brim with helicopters, planes, and much more.
"What the Hell…" Garou muttered. Then he noticed the Saikou Corp logo on the helicopters.
The vehicles got into an oval, forming a wall. They pointed their lights at Garou.
A a helicopter flew just above Garou. Its side opened up, revealing five girls: White Tiger, Blue Dragon, Red Bird, Black Turtle, and a girl in the middle. She was fairly tall, with long, silver hair and cold silver eyes. She wore the student council uniform just like the other girls, but was surrounded by an aura of power. She wielded a powerful staff in one hand.
Zombieman breathed. "She came…"
Darkshine peeked his head through the rubble. "She's finally here!"
Tatsumaki grimaced. "Dammit, that brat…"
"'HERO-HUNTER' GAROU!" the girl boomed, her voice loud enough to shake the entire association. "I gave you a warning to heed your promise, but it appears that you were foolish enough to break it regardless. As well as that, you made a mockery of the Hero Association, and have committed countless crimes."
She pointed at him, eyes glowing. "Because of that, I, the Class S rank 2 hero Goddess, will be the one to annihilate you!"
Garou laughed, baring his sharp fangs.
Finally, he thought. The fight I've been waiting for!
"LET'S DO IT!" he roared, charging towards Goddess. And the battle finally begun.
