And he slammed it down with a bang... but it wasn't on either of the sheets. "Um... Did you miss?" Deku asked.
"I did not miss, I want to know why should I hire the two of you. Both of you have failed to prove why I should hire you, this agency runs smoothly with one pro hero, two sidekicks, and one work study. Why would I want to hire two more inexperienced students, regardless of where they placed on their entrance exam and the sports festival." He slammed the stamp over and over into the table. "What sets you apart? What makes you so great that I should hire you on the spot. I was simply curious about the fact that there is a person able to defeat Mirio."
"Tsk... You want to know why we are worth your time then? Fine. We'll show you." I stood up and powered up, the air kicked up, throwing sheets of paper around, Nighteye calmly placed paperweights on the contracts. The walls around began to crack from the pressure and the door was blown open and shut slamming over and over.
"Fuma!" Deku stood up as well. "You can't..."
"You'll show me? Very well, Mirio, Bubble girl, please. Wait outside, This will take three minutes. If either of you can take this stamp from me, I'll take you on." He held it up between his fingers as he stood up and stepped outside from his desk.
"You sure? That seems like a bit much." Bubble girl said as she and Mirio stepped out side.
"I know what I am doing." He said as the door closed with the click of a door locking. "Now then. Show me what you got."
Chapter 86: Proving
"So you are the one that All Might handed his quirk down to, Midoriya." He said. "What a mistaACK!" I slammed my fist into his stomach and made a grab for the stamp but he kept it out of reach. "You... attacked me..." He caught his breath.
"It was no mistake for Deku to get the quirk. All Might had every right and reason to chose him as his successor." I glared at him. "He earned the power with honor."
Deku stood next to me, "Fuma, you don't have to stand up for me."
"You would have made a better successor then him." Nighteye said to us making Deku look down. "When All Might told me he was giving his power to a quirkless middle schooler I had my doubts. I had found him the perfect successor, and now that I have seen him, he's nothing special."
"You are wrong. He has risked his life time and time again. How dare you say that! HE SAVED MY LIFE!" What Nighteye had said had angered me, my power rose higher and higher. I heard glass shattering and metal creaking as the building was torn apart by my aura. I rushed him but he easily dodged me.
"FUMA! You are losing control!" Deku leapt in front of me, powering up to hold me back. "Take a deep breath."
"Temperamental... you clearly aren't worthy of the power either then. And he believes that you two will be the future number one heroes. Symbols of peace? Is this some sort of sick joke. I have done everything I can to mould Mirio into the perfect candidate. He's strong, he mastered his quirk and he has a natural talent for the life of a hero." He taunted as the walls cracked open.
"So you want Deku to just hand it over, to give up on his dream!" I gritted my teeth. "You don't know him. You want a another All Might?"
"if you want to put it that way, yes. The world needs the symbol of peace." Nighteye said. "You have two minutes."
"My father said that the next generation should be a evolution of the last one, not a repeat." And I vanished moving so fast around the room that I was leaving after images. "Deku. Don't let him say that you aren't worthy, that you were lucky to get the power. You earned it." I charged Him from behind but I wasn't going for the stamp, I kicked his legs out from under him. He landed on one hand and spun around back onto his feet as I turned around and glared at him in the eyes. "You wrote everything you know about him in your notebooks. His quirk is foresight, allowing him to see into the future."
Deku lunged for the stamp but Nighteye was just able to keep it out of his reach. "We don't know how it works." He said as he leaped from wall to wall and the ceiling all over the room, leaving foot prints on all the surfaces.
"Notebooks?" Nighteye asked himself.
I smirked. "Deku, long before he ever had a hope to become a hero had the most in depth notes on hero, villain, and general quirks I had ever seen. He knows how every single student in the class fights with their quirks, how all the top heroes perform. And some of the most dangerous villains that we have encountered. Deku is more then he seems." I rushed the man, but as I closed on him I stopped short letting the air pressure from the speed I was going knock him off balance, the Deku came in from behind. "HUNTERS LOCK!" The silver ki flowed over Nighteye locking him in place as Deku grabbed the stamp from him as the door swung open.
Deku rolled on the floor as he held the stamp looking up at Bubble girl and Mirio. "You... changed the... outcome... that isn't possible." Nighteye said as I released him.
Bubble girl looked around the room, "Well... we need to call in a construction company now. Her aura shook the whole city. We had to explain to the police what was happening."
"Well... I'm sorry, my power is hard to control." I rubbed the back of my head as Nighteye stood up and sat down at his desk, the papers having been kept down by the paperweights.
"You did get the stamp, welcome to Nighteye Hero Agency." We sat down as he turned the sheets towards us. Deku stamped his, and I stamped mine.
"We can't wait to work with you." We both said, determined looks on our faces.
Deep in space a small crew ship flew through the empty expanse, inside were four occupants. Two sat back on chairs and tossed food at each other, twins by the look of them, black hair tied back and purple and white suits on with a black logo made of a sideways lightning bolt and a black dot. A third sat at the controls, green skin with antenna hanging from his forehead, and the last one was soldier tied up and gagged. His battle armor marked with a horned skull. "This idiot better be right about the Lunar Hunters." The girl said as she caught a piece of fruit in her mouth.
"Right, drop this bastard off and get those traitors. I'm surprised they are still alive." Her brother said as she cut off a piece of her fruit with a knife and tossed it him sticking to his forehead. "Very funny Kalna."
"Of course I am. I'm the greatest comedian in the universe." She said. "Isn't that right Harp?"
The Namekian ignored her.
"See he agrees with me." She said as she caught another piece. Her tail unwrapped from her waist. Her brother didn't have one. "Hey Nakono… how you feeling?" She asked.
"Tsk... bastard got me good with that hot knife of his. I don't think it will grow back this time." He rubbed where there still was a hole for the missing appendage. "Once Uncle is dealt with, we are one step closer to the Baron."
"I can't wait to deal with Romne, bitch has had it a long time coming." She laughed as she spun her blade over her knuckles.
"What of Astero? He is a member but there is no warrant for his arrest at this moment?" Harp cut in.
"Well, we'll deal with the runt in time." Kalna said.
Hey, tell me what did you think of this chapter?
