Avengers: Don't Get in My Way
Chapter 13
"Charles, Clarice, I thank you both for coming and lending your assistance. It was much needed, and gave truth to those that couldn't see it," Thor said to the two visitors after Wanda had left the room with Shuri.
The others had all broken up into groups and were talking among themselves. For the first time in weeks, they were able to simply enjoy the company of the others, instead of having to deal with the problems they'd been battling the past few weeks. The entire room felt lighter and brighter.
"You're all quite welcome, my friend," Charles said as he adjusted his position in his chair. The journey into Wanda's mind had been taxing, and signs of it were beginning to show in the older man's face and eyes. "I was pleased that it helped, not only the others in this room, but Wanda herself. None can imagine the true pain that the poor girl bears. However, I believe that pain is going to start healing now. I do so enjoy pleasant conclusions."
All three looked up as movement caught their attention. Nick walked over to join their conversation, and gave a nod of greeting to them all. "Charles, my friend, I'm glad you stopped by. This would probably have been a lot messier if you hadn't," he said as he shook Charles' hand. "Half of them were ready to run interference for her and help her get it done, and the other half…well, let's just say that there were easier jobs they could have chosen. Jobs that would have hurt less."
"Indeed," Charles said thoughtfully. "Wanda's power and potential are both so astronomically strong that it's going to be increasingly difficult to stop her if the need were to ever arise, which I am fairly certain that it won't. Her emotional state affects her abilities greatly. That is something to keep in mind when she is distressed or angry, distraught, or full of the feelings that she was experiencing when I was with her. She wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone, I know that as certainly as I know my own name. I just advise to keep in mind the level of raw potential she has if there is a situation where she could possibly be compromised. She's a good girl, Nick. Treat her as such, and you'll benefit greatly from it, I assure you."
"Sorry, but I couldn't help but overhear you guys there," said Carol as she sauntered up with a soda in her hand. "I can tell you all about her power and potential. If she's in the wrong place in her head, she's fucking scary. I'm not even trying to make a joke here."
"Carol speaks truly," Thor chimed in as the conversation grew larger. "Her power is enough that I doubt there are few that could truly harm her if she was in the proper mind or they angered her. She is family, and she will always be treated as such by me and the others I'm sure. That doesn't mean that she is not a force to be reckoned with."
Nick didn't say anything. He chose to hold his hands up and back up a step, indicating he wasn't going to comment. From the look on his face, Charles knew that the gesture meant that Carol and Thor could tell him what they meant far better than he could.
"Is there something specific the both of you are referring to?" Charles asked. They had piqued his interest to say the least. "I'm sure I'm only scratching the surface of what she's actually capable of, but I'm getting the feeling that there's something that you can share that would probably put all this into perspective."
Thor and Carol looked at each other a moment and then Thor elaborated, "Of all of us, she managed to actually hurt Thanos, even with him having all the Stones."
That was where Carol picked up. "By most standards, I'm considered kind of a powerhouse, I guess. They often refer to me as the 'big guns,' right along with Point Break here…"
"Ah, by my father's beard, you've been talking to Stark, haven't you? I am starting to believe that is never going to cease being a source of amusement for all of you." Thor slapped his hand over his eyes and shook his head.
Carol gave him an exaggerated smart assed grin, and continued, "I fought Thanos by her side. I got in some really good hits, but they didn't seem to do much more than stagger him for a bit. It took everything I had to wrestle him back and keep him distracted from using that damned gauntlet."
Thor nodded in agreement and the look on his face was very solemn and serious again. Carol pressed on, "But Wanda? Wanda actually hurt him. I mean she actually caused some damage there. But after that? She started squeezing that cheesy armor of his around him like crushing a soda can, and stones or no stones, he couldn't do a damned thing about it. Professor, Wanda scared him.
"I don't mean like surprised him or caught him off guard. I mean she scared the shit out of him. That's when I actually showed up and went after him with her. I saw that though, and let me tell you, it scared me. I don't scare. I was damned well scared then. I didn't think she'd hurt me or anything like that. I was scared because she was able to do that to him and she barely even grunted."
Charles absorbed all that and made sure to look into the connection between her emotional state, mental state, and her powers. Knowing what that connection was and how it worked could be useful and beneficial at some point, he decided.

Most of the others had eventually filtered into the lab, so they could see Vision for themselves. None doubted the work that Shuri had done, but as Steve has said weeks ago, for them it was like losing a brother in a sense. They knew that very soon, he would be back among them. Right now, it was like waiting for a loved one to wake up after the anesthesia wore off after a surgery.
Wanda was touched that they all wanted to see him and even be there when he awoke. It said a lot about how they thought about him, and how they felt. Vision had told her once that though he knew that they accepted him, he never felt as if they fully embraced him as they did each other. She knew that wasn't out of dislike or not feeling he was an equal, or that it was because he was synthetic. Rather it was because they didn't know him as well as she did as a person. Their interaction with him had been considerably less as just friends speaking or hanging out.
Then again, Vision is sort of the private sort. I think they haven't connected with him better than they have is simply because they aren't sure how to approach him. Usually when he speaks in their presence, it has to do with something technical or something serious. They never got to see him being silly, or laughing, or any of those things. I doubt they even know that he's capable of them. Maybe that will change after this experience. Viz, if you're there, and you're listening to my thoughts, please make at least a little effort to interact with them when nothing is happening. You might be surprised.
Finally, the time came. The sooner she finished it, the sooner he could be back with her, back where he was supposed to be. She had no idea how long it would take to figure out how to get Nat back without there being some sort of trouble or deal that had to be made. Clint had described to her what had happened while they were there and told her as many details as he could remember. That was a starting point, at least.
"I need to go, everyone. Every second I delay is a second I lose with him, and that everything stays as it is. Before I go, of course, I'm going to set everything back to its proper fate. I would stand back if I were you. I don't know what sort of effect this is going to have when I do this," she said as she moved to a section of the lab where there was very little that could be harmed, depending on how large the effect was.
Tony helped her guide people out of the way. "This is about it when Bruce did it, and when I did it," he said after they reached the proper distance. "Okay, Wanda, breathe. Remember the model. You want to follow the blueprint, okay? You used the Mind Stone to make sure you keep it up there in the old noggin, right? Great. Okay, here we go people. The Snap 4.0. The Little Big Bang. When you're ready, Wanda, let's do it to it. Get it in your head and….go!"
Wanda took deep breaths as Tony talked to her, reminding her and coaching her to be sure she didn't lose her nerve or her concentration. Finally, she had herself in the right place, she thought. When he said go, she raised her hand with the stones whirling about her wrist, and there was a sharp crack as she snapped her fingers.
A sound like a very close by lightning strike boomed around them and a sudden gust of hot wind that lasted only a second or so rolled over them. The air grew suddenly still, almost as if it were frozen in time. Just as suddenly, the air and everything else seemed normal again.
Scott broke the silence, "Did it work? Is everything back like it's supposed to be? Wow, that wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I was expecting more thunder and lightning, a burning bush maybe, or something like that. Any kind of weird Biblical type event."
"Let's find out, Scott Rod," quipped Tony as he removed his phone from his pocket. After a couple of swipes, the sound of a news report filled the room. Everyone held their breath and waited.
It was a live report with "Breaking News" scrolling across the top of the screen. There were tones of confusion and excitement in the reporters' voices. They were detailing things that just suddenly were back like they had been five years earlier. These were things that the Avengers hadn't been able to return when they'd enacted their own Snaps. Dead trees were alive once more, cars that had rusted and sat unused were now back in the shape they were in before the Snap. They described things that ranged from barely noticeable to incredible. They detailed things ranging from completely inconsequential to major returns, citing it as a true debt that could never be truly paid.
Loud noises of victory filled the room. There were lots of raised voices, a cacophony of sounds, as well as some of the others jumping up and down, and others with stunned smiles. Apparently, her Snap had done exactly what she had intended it to do.
As the others celebrated, Wanda prepared herself to go. She had no idea how she was going to convince the guardian of the stone to exchange Nat's soul for the return of the stone. That's a problem I'll have to deal with when I get there. I just hope I can make a case that will change whoever makes the decision's mind.
Bruce came to her side and looked down at her with a wistful expression. "Wanda, please, let me go with you. I'd like to be there when she comes back. I have to be. I hope you understand." His expression was one of wistfulness blended with hope and anxiety.
She nodded. "I understand, I understand all too well," she answered as she laid a gentle hand on the enormous green bicep closest to her. "That's assuming I can even get her back. I have to try, and I know you have to be there. Of course you can come with me. Together, I'm hoping we can convince whoever to agree to the exchange."
Almost as one, the others seemed to remember what was supposed to be happening at that moment. Well wishes, people saying good luck, and other encouragements were given to them by their friends. If their positive hopes lent some sort of power to their request, so much the better.
Wanda looked over to make sure that Bruce was ready, and then the Space Stone glowed and a misty portal opened up that surrounded them. When the fog faded, they were gone.
X
Bruce and Wanda stepped from the fog onto a rocky mountain top path. The sky was dark and clouded over, and through it the light of a dark ringed sun shone through in patches. Directly in front of them was the "red floaty guy" that Clint had described.
The robed red faced apparition floated near a rocky formation that could serve as a bench if one were inclined to sit there. The guardian's face was solemn as it gazed at them before speaking in a thick German accent, "Bruce, son of David. Wanda, daughter of Magda. You have brought the Soul Stone back to its sanctuary. What, may I ask, is your purpose for doing so?"
Bruce and Wanda glanced at each other before looking back at the guardian. Wanda stepped forward to give her answer, "I hold all the stones. I was hoping to ask what would happen if I were to return the stone? I never sought it for power or gain, and now that I have used it to correct the horrors that Thanos visited on the universe, I wish to return it to its home, where I know it will be safe."
The guardian seemed puzzled by the question. He looked between the two visitors and opened his mouth once and closed it before he was able to reply, "No one has ever given the stone back willingly. Normally, once the stones have been scattered, the Soul Stone returns here, but as I said, no one has ever relinquished its power willingly. This is…unprecedented."
Bruce frowned, and finally interjected, "So, you're telling us that usually, the stone only returns when whoever had it loses it in some way? So you said no one has ever done this before. Does this mean that we may ask for an exchange, or whoever makes the decisions might be willing to grant us a request, perhaps?"
Once more, the guardian appeared completely puzzled. "The stone makes the decisions concerning the stone," he answered in a slow voice, as he still tried to figure out what exactly was happening. "It is who cursed me to be its guardian and caretaker. The stone decides. Since this has never happened before, I would say that you may be able to make a request. The stone has not spoken to me thus far to tell me otherwise."
"A man and woman came seeking the stone some time ago, named Clint and Natasha. In exchange for the stone, Natasha gave her life to pay the payment for the stone," he said in a soft voice. His gaze never left the guardian.
"I remember, as does the stone," answered the guardian. "Since then, Thanos, son of Elas and Gamora, daughter of Thanos came seeking the stone. Now, you come seeking to return it…"
The guardian trailed off as if it were unexpectedly listening to or speaking to someone. Wanda glanced up at Bruce, and he returned her quizzical expression. The whole situation was like entering data into a computer that it couldn't resolve.
Finally, the guardian stopped communing with the stone, presumably. He regarded the pair once more, his expression and tone still rather surprised. "The stone says you have acted selflessly and honorably with the stone and its siblings. You sought not personal power and did not use its power from a place of greed or malice. It tells me that you used the stones to give rather than to take. The stone has been wielded in the way that is right, that is how the stones should be wielded. It will hear your request, and if your request is reasonable, it will grant it."
Wanda nodded and looked up at Bruce once more. He nodded for her to give the request since she was the one that held the stones. Wanda took a deep breath and prepared herself.
Finally, she continued in a raspy voice, "When Clint and Natasha came to receive the stone, they were taking it to restore what the stone had been used to destroy. They did not argue over whether or not they should sacrifice themselves for the other, they both were ready to volunteer their soul for the other, rather than to convince the other to give theirs instead."
"This is true," replied the guardian. "I bore witness to it myself. Such a thing had never been done in all the time the stone has been sought either."
Here it is, here's where it gets iffy, thought Wanda. Afterwards, she spoke, "Since we are returning the soul stone to its home willingly and on our own volition, and since Natasha willingly gave her soul so that Clint may take the stone to correct what was put wrong, we request…we request that Natasha's soul and life be returned to her as if it had never been given. We ask this of the stone out of love for one who willingly paid the price of the stone with her own life in order to save our lives and the lives of all that live."
Silence descended on the mountain top, and the guardian's eyes closed. He appeared almost asleep. He floated perfectly still, and the very air around them grew still as well. All was quiet. It was as if the two friends stood in a limbo, devoid of everything except themselves.
After long minutes, the guardian opened his eyes once more. "The price of the stone is to sacrifice that which you love. Natasha paid the price with her love for those that she sought to save. You return the stone, craving no power, having no greed, willingly of your own mind, and make a request born of the same kind of love for which Natasha's soul was given."
Bruce and Wanda held their breath. They weren't sure what to make of the explanation that the guardian was receiving from the stone, but they couldn't say for sure what it meant, exactly. They could only hope.
Another pause came and the guardian directed its gaze into the eyes of them both. "The stone has decided, and has delivered its answer to me. The stone has considered all the facts, and what it has observed itself. The actions and intentions have been weighed, and the stone has determined that what you ask is a reasonable request, made for the right reason, delivered the proper way. You did not come demanding an exchange. You did not attempt to impose conditions. You did not seek to receive the request out of expectation of a reward for a calculated action. The request has been granted."
The pair released their breaths together and felt almost as if all the air had been released and they were left like empty balloons. Laughter pealed from their mouths and after a few moments finally got their wits back.
"Soul Stone, possessed of a singular wisdom among your siblings and your kind, we thank you for granting our request. We will not speak of your home to any others, and I will ask the Mind Stone to help me remove knowledge of it from any who possess it, even ourselves. Thank you," said Wanda with an exhausted but happy smile.
The guardian gestured towards the precipice over which one sacrificed what they loved. It billowed in a thick blue gray fog that rolled from the edge towards them. After a moment, a figure's silhouette was visible at the fog's heart. The fog parted and Natasha stepped from it, unchanged from the day she came to seek the stone.
She seemed confused and disoriented but perfectly healthy otherwise. Upon seeing them she called out, "Bruce? Wanda? But I'm…I'm dead. I gave myself, and the stone was given to Clint."
Bruce shook his head with a broad smile and a wash of relief passed over his face. "No, Nat, you were dead. We returned the stone, and the stone agreed to allow you to return. We're here to take you home," he said with obvious joy in his voice.
Nat blinked several times as if she were processing what Bruce had just said. Suddenly, she sprinted towards them and leaped high into the air, to land in Bruce's arms. Immediately, she grabbed him by the back of the head and pulled him into a deep, emotional, soulful kiss. Long seconds passed as their lips gave no indication of parting anytime soon.
Wanda stood by patiently, understanding the feeling very well. Suddenly, their lips did part and Nat rolled, but still in Bruce's arms, and grabbed her in a fierce hug, then kissed her cheek.
"Thank you! Thank you both! And thank you, floaty guy, and Soul Stone and whoever else had a part to play in this," exclaimed Nat with a freedom in her voice that they hadn't heard in a very long time even before they came to claim the stone.
Nat hugged them both again and then she stabbed a finger into Bruce's chest. "Okay, enough of the playing tag and dancing around the mulberry bush," she said with a stern expression. "I'll tell you this, just so you can't say you didn't know. No more games, no more avoidance and no more dodging. There is absolutely nothing you can say to me that's going to change how I feel, or what I want.
"I don't care whether or not you can have children. I don't give a damn if you think we have no chance at a life. The Hulk situation? It's handled, in case you haven't seen a mirror lately. No more excuses, Bruce Banner. I didn't get the chance to tell you before, but I've been given a second chance and I'm damned well not going to waste it."
She grabbed his cheeks in her hands and made him look her in the eye. "I love you, Bruce. I want you in my life, I need you. There, it's been said. I can't take it back and you can't pretend you didn't hear it. I believe, with all my heart that you feel similarly for me. I'm hoping with all my heart that you do. So, straight to the point, no bullshit. How do you feel?"
Bruce was stunned and taken totally off guard, and he glanced at Wanda with an expression that said he was desperate for help. She shook her head and smiled lightly. "You're on your own, Big Guy."
He turned his gaze back to Nat's face, and he touched her cheek with a huge hand. Finally, he nodded, "I love you too, Nat. I'm not going to pretend I didn't hear you and I don't want you to take it back."
Wanda felt her face stretch with the smile she felt appear on her face once more. With a flex of her fist, the three of them billowed out of the mountain top plateau in a blaze of fog and were gone.

The green stone floated slowly across the divide between Wanda and Strange. It reached the Sorcerer's golden amulet, and the mystic artifact closed. "That's two down," Wanda said, feeling better and better already.
Strange closed the amulet completely and gave Wanda a once over glance. "Thank you, Miss Maximoff. The Time Stone is back where it belongs, and things seem to be returning to something resembling normal."
"You're welcome, Doctor," she replied as she looked down at the remaining stones. "The sooner I can get rid of these things and put them back where they belong, the happier I'll be."
The crowd of friends had thinned out considerably when Wanda, Bruce and Nat had emerged from the fog of the portal Wanda used to return them. Being greeted with the sight of Nat wrapped securely in Bruce's arms and a veritable storm of kisses passing between them, they figured that they should just move and not bother them until they came up for air, which could be quite some time from the look of things.
Clint walked over to her and wrapped her in a warm brotherly hug. "You did it, kiddo. You actually did it, and without a fight, no less," he said as laughter laced his words. "I don't know how you did it, and I honestly really don't give a shit how you did it. I only care that you did it. I'm proud of you."
She nodded as she returned the hug, squeezing him back tightly. "Thanks," she said, still trying to decide if this was all a dream or not. "There are just a couple more things that I have to do."
Clint smiled slowly and nodded. "Well, you'd better get on it. Go scatter those damned things from one end of the universe to the other, pop Vision's stone in and wake him up. After you both get over the reunion…I'm guessing a day or two at least, for both you and Vision, and for Bruce and Nat…Laura and the kids expect the four of you out to the house for dinner. No excuses. So don't make me have to wrap you guys in a net and drag you, okay?" he joked playfully with her.
Wanda laughed and nodded. "We'll be there."

Wanda stood on the topmost balcony of the Wakandan palace, staring at the sky. It was beautiful, brightly dotted with stars on a sea of black velvet. She loved looking at the stars when the sky was like this.
With a wave of her hand, she drew the Space Stone, Reality Stone, and Power Stone from her wrist. That left the Mind Stone still swirling about it. She held the three stones suspended in the air between her hands and watched them for a moment. Finally, she curled her fingers into fists and then made a motion as if throwing the stones upwards.
"Vanish from here, and scatter yourselves far and wide across the universe, safe from seekers and those that would abuse your power. Hide yourselves in the darkness, in plain sight of the light, or wherever you choose to go. You are free now. No one should find you for a very, very long time."
The stones vanished, except for the Mind Stone, and she watched in sparkle a moment with a very slight lifting of the corners of her lips, and then reentered the palace.
X
A dark figure sat in shadow, contemplating the sight before it on the view screen. It steepled its fingers and tapped the tips against each other slowly. It didn't speak or move other than the tapping of the fingers. All was quiet.
The hiss of a door and light spilled into the dark figure's location. The light was far from it, but where there had been only darkness there was now the ghost of light in the room. Despite the entrance, the figure neither moved nor spoke.
Another figure entered the chamber and stopped to the right of the figure some distance away. "Your Lord Eminence," the second figure said with a nervous twitter in its voice. "She has returned without the Soul Stone and the Time Stone. She is casting the others away into the void, except for the Mind Stone. Should we attack now, and retrieve them?"
Long moments of silence lingered between the two figures and finally the first spoke, but never moved. "No, Cardinal. Not yet. Energy of such magnitude should be child's play to trace. Let her think they have been scattered and lost. There's no need to make them aware of our presence just yet. I want them to revel in their 'victory' and enjoy themselves for a while, before we crush them, I take the stones, and they…well, I'm sure you know what happens to them," the figure stated.
"As you command, Your Lord Eminence," the second figure answered swiftly, and then exited the room just as swiftly, leaving the first figure to their own thoughts.

Wanda stood over Vision's body on the table and just stared at him for a short while. Shuri maintained a respectful distance, but her curiosity made it impossible for her to concentrate on anything else at that moment.
A few of the others were present nearby, but all of them were giving her space. Bruce and Natasha hadn't been seen since they arrived. Wanda smiled lightly at that thought. She thought they'd both earned it, and deserved it.
It was time. Wanda moved her fingers in intricate patterns and red swirling energy surrounded the Mind Stone and plucked it from its place around her wrist. With great care, she guided the glowing jewel downward, towards Vision's forehead. The light seemed to brighten as it got so very close to its most recent home.
Ever so carefully and gently, she lowered the stone into the niche that Shuri had created for it. Once it was in place, the backing connected, and activated all the connections that existed between the stone and Vision.
The stone grew brighter and brighter, and finally dimmed back down to normal. Vision's eyelids fluttered and he gasped, staring straight ahead and croaked out, "Wanda, I love you." Afterwards, his body relaxed some and he seemed to be trying to get his bearings.
His words were the last words she'd heard him say before the Mind Stone exploded and ripped him to pieces in the process. It was a terrible sight to behold, and even worse to know it was by her hand that it happened. Then she was forced to watch it reverse, and Thanos unceremoniously dig it out of his head and throw his body away as if it were less than nothing.
No one should have to endure such a thing. Even so, you lost, bastard. The stones have been returned to their rightful places, Vision is even now waking up and coming to his senses, and you? You're a pile of ashes on some forsaken barren landscape, your mind and soul condemned to the same oblivion that you consigned so many others to.
"Wanda?" called Vision groggily. He seemed to be still trying to orient himself as she returned her attention to him.
"Yes, darling, what is it?"
"Where are…are we in Wakanda?" he asked in confusion. "The last thing I remember is being outside and imploring you to destroy the Mind Stone. I told you…you could never hurt me, I just feel you. Then I started to say that I loved you and felt a searing heat and pain. Then I was face to face with Thanos, and he was attempting to dig the stone from my forehead."
She gently placed her hand over his mouth and smiled. "Shh," she whispered. "Don't think about that now. It's not important. What's important is that you're here, with me, and I'm never ever letting go of you again. Ever."
She replaced her hand with her lips suddenly, and kissed him with tenderness but pent up love and passion as well. He'd told her once that it was amazing how humans could communicate so many things at once with simple touch without saying a word. She hoped he knew she was communicating right then.
Tears fell from her eyes and onto his skin, and he opened his mouth to ask her why she was crying but she cut him off. "I'm crying because I had lost you, but you're not lost anymore. You're here, with me, and I love you, I love you more than anything. I'm crying because I'm relieved, because I'm happy, and I can't stop. Just go with it, okay?"
He opened his mouth to speak twice more, but no sound came out as he rethought his words, it seemed. "I have no choice but to go with it, as you put it. I love you too, and we are one, we pull in the same direction, so wherever you go, I am going with you. Now, forever, and always."
Wanda gave Shuri a wave and a smile even as she wiped her cheeks with her sleeve. The young Princess smiled widely and returned the wave. She turned her attention back towards Vision and held out her hand. "Do you think you can stand and walk yet?"
Slowly, Vision swung his legs around to sit up on the bed. He never released her hand. "If it means that I must in order to be by your side, I can stand, walk, run, fly, phase, whatever is necessary. Whatever you require of me, wish of me or ask of me, I shall do so. I promise to not disappoint you," he declared in a voice more resembling his own in terms of strength and steadiness.
Wanda smiled and grabbed his hand. Once his feet hit the floor, she tugged him along as she started walking very fast. "The only way you can disappoint me right now is if you don't hurry your ass up and go with me to the room T'Challa and Shuri have prepared for us. I have missed you so much, Viz. The others can damned well wait to talk with you. You're mine, as I am yours, and right now, you're on my time. I plan on wrapping myself up around you and in your arms and staying right there for as long as I can."
Vision paused for the millionth of a second it took to take her in his arms, and his feet lifted from the floor as he flew along the passageway until they reached the room she directed him to. Once there, they entered the room together and immediately Wanda leaped into his arms, holding onto him as if she were drowning.
Her lips found his again and again, and her hands roamed over his face, the sides of his head, up and down his arms, and along his sides as they shifted and twisted, their direction taking them towards the bed. She kissed him once more and nestled against his chest. "I love you, Viz. I can't tell you enough that I love you. We missed so much time together. I never said it often enough before, but you may get sick of hearing it now."
Vision chuckled softly, a pleasant roll of mid timbre tone, and held her face in his hands so he could meet her eyes. "I love you too, and I always shall as I always have. I fear I must correct your calculations. You told me you loved me quite often. You didn't have to vocalize it for me to see it in your eyes, to hear it in your voice, to feel it in your touch, or to taste it when we kissed. But I won't discourage you if you choose to vocalize it. Coming from your lips, it is the sweetest music I could ever hope to hear."
She giggled and playfully bopped him in the head with a pillow. "Have you been reading poetry again Viz?" She turned to put her back against his chest and literally yanked his arms around her as she turned her head back over her shoulder to kiss him softly once more.
Vision returned her kiss as he laughed at the playful bop and snuggled her against him. He was home, finally. Wanda was his home, his sanctuary, his temple to his very soul. After so long, she was finally in his arms once more, and everything else melted away. "I haven't lately, no. But you are all the poetry I require. When I'm with you, I feel nothing else. I just feel you."
