Here's the other idea of mine that is based on the prototype chapter of the Seven Deadly Sins, enjoy.
A blizzard roared through the dead of night as a lone figure marched through the snow, heading towards a town of some sorts.
"Have you heard…the rumor of the wandering ghost? On stormy knights like this, the ghost of the Seven Deadly Sins visits the towns nearby, looking for its six other members." A woman explained whilst eating her meal.
"The ghost of the Seven Deadly Siiiins?!" A slightly drunk man exclaimed as he slammed his drink onto the table.
"Shh! Keep your voice down! You can't let the lord of the holy knights hear you!" Another customer said in a hushed whisper.
"Se…seriously." The woman muttered, glancing over her shoulder towards a table where three men wearing chain-mail sat.
"I love scary stories like that! Tell me more about it." A voice said, causing the three customers to turn their heads towards the direction of the voice to a young man with ash-white hair and green eyes. He's wearing a white shirt underneath a black vest and matching trousers. In one hand he's carrying numerous beers whilst in the other is a plate of spaghetti.
"S-sorry, Asta. It's just a rumor that I heard from people nearby." The woman explained as the now known Asta place the plate of spaghetti on the table.
"Bummer." Asta said just the sound of the bar door opened.
"Oh welco-" Asta began to say but stop when he and the other customers saw who it is, a figure wrapped in rags. Glowing eyes peered from the shadowy gap of the rags.
"Seven…..Deadly…Sins…." The figure said as snow started to flow into the bar.
"EEEEEEEEEK! It's…it's here!" A customer exclaimed as everyone backed away from the newcomer.
"The gh-ghost of the Seven Deadly Sins….?" A customer asked, remembering the rumors.
"N-no way." Another customer said, sweating slightly.
"A-Asta. Do something …..you love scary stories, right?" The female customer asked in a scared tone of voice as she stand behind Asta.
"I can't…..handle the real thing! No matter what, definitely, even if I die…..I can't!" Asta replied, his entire body shaking with fear.
It was at that moment that the wrapped-up figure took a step forward…but ended up tripping over the end of the long rag, effectively rolling across the ground before crashing into a table.
Customers screamed as they back away.
"Wha….what is going on?" Asta asked himself as he slowly approached the broken table.
At this point, the long rag that was wrapped around the figure has falling away, revealing a young woman with long wavy vermilion, which seemed close to a light brown, coloured hair which is in a messy state, the same can be said to her skin. Her clothes are extremely dirty and slightly ripped.
Asta started to hear and a strange sound, making him slightly more scared, before realizing that the girl is eating the food that he prepared earlier.
"Muhu! So good!" The vermilion hair girl exclaimed in a happy tone of voice as she continued to consume the spaghetti.
When she finished, the girl let out a burp.
"Ahhhhh. My first good meal in a long time….." The vermilion hair girl said, feeling relaxed.
"A…..human?" A customer asked in a perplexed tone of voice.
"The ghost of the Seven Deadly Sins…is this little girl?" Another customer asked the person next to him.
"No way." The person replied in a nervous tone of voice.
It was then that the girl stood up and opened her eyes, revealing them to be yellow.
"I'm looking for the Seven Deadly Sins. Does anyone know about them?" The vermilion hair girl asked, shocking everyone.
"Hey, knock that off! What the hell are you shouting about…is that girl stupid?" A customer asked in hushed tone of voice.
"Doesn't she know that's a taboo subject….." Another customer said in a fearful tone of voice just as the knights focused their attention on what has just been said.
"Hey!" Asta exclaimed as he march towards the girl.
"Hwhat?" The asked in confuse tone of voice.
"Don't "Hwhat" me! Look at what you done!" Asta said as he jab a finger towards the girl's face, making her lean backwards slightly.
"You better pay for this…..and the food." Asta said as he point towards the broken table.
"Huu-uuh." The vermilion hair girl simply said, tilting her head to the side slightly.
"….Then in exchange, I'll give you the most important thing to girls, okay?" The vermilion hair girl explained whilst fidgeting slightly.
"Wha…..?" Asta asked in a confuse tone of voice, an eyebrow raised.
"Take this!" The vermilion hair girl said, holding up the rags that she was wrapped in.
"I don't want your dirty wrapping rag!" Asta exclaimed in anger.
"But it's such a precious thing for girls, since we can't let ourselves get cold." The vermilion hair girl explained, not reacting to Asta's angry outburst.
"Who was it? The foolish sheep that mouth the unforgivable words of evil!?" One of the knights, who towers over everyone else in the bar, asked as he push people out of the way.
"It smells like a fool around here. Its smells of sin of a fool that uttered the name of the villainous criminal." The giant knight explained as his two fellow knights walked next to him as all the customers backed away.
It is worth noting that all three of them seemed drunk.
"They're the knights of the kingdom….If you don't want to look suspicious, just pretend to not kno-" Asta tried to explain in a low tone of voice but stop and did an anime fall as he saw the vermilion hair girl sniffing herself.
"Little girl! It's you, isn't it?" The giant knight asked, leering down to look at the vermilion hair girl.
"Do I stink that much?" The vermilion hair girl asked in a blank tone of voice, holding up a sleeve of her dirty coat.
"Are you making fun of us!" The giant knight exclaimed, becoming angry.
"She's an idiot." Asta thought, sweat-dropping.
"You not only dare to speak the name of the Seven Deadly sins, the worst criminals in the kingdom, but you want to look for them….!?" The giant knight explained, his fists clenching.
"~This is a grave sin. We'll take you to the kingdom right away and you will be baptized~" The other two knights said in a drunk, sing-song tone of voice.
"H-hey. Isn't baptized….." One of the customers began to ask in a scared tone of voice.
"It's another word for torture!" Another customer finished the sentence, also in a scared tone of voice.
"That girl won't come back the same…" A third customer said in fearful tone of voice.
"…Nah, I pass." The vermilion hair girl said as she wave her hand in front of her face in a completely oblivious tone of voice.
This cause everyone to become shock.
"Accept it gratefully! The leaders of the kingdom, the Holy knights….will cleanse you of your sins!" The giant knight explained with a silly smile on his face.
"I hate the Holy knights!" The vermilion hair girl said in a confident tone of voice.
Silence descended around the bar for a few seconds until all the customers started to panic.
"I'm outta here!" A customer exclaimed as he and everyone else rushed towards the door.
"I'm not getting dragged into this!" Another escaping customer shouted in fear.
"Slander the name of the Holy knights! This is your last chance to take your words back!" The giant knight exclaimed as he and the other two knights draw their swords.
"No way!" The vermilion hair girl said, turning her head to the side, making the knights more angry before preparing to attack the vermilion hair girl.
"Just wait a minute!" Asta shouted, standing between the vermilion hair girl and the three knights and holding up his arms.
"No drunken rampages in my bar. Please pay your bills and leave right away." Asta explained to the three knights before turning his attention towards the vermilion hair girl.
"You stay here. I have a mountain-load of questions to ask." Asta said, making the vermilion hair girl tilt her head with a curious expression on her face.
"I want to eat a mountain-load of food." The vermilion hair girl said, her expression turning in a happy one.
"Are you listening to me!?" Asta exclaimed, a tick-mark appearing on his forehead.
"You, a mere bar-owner, dare to give orders to a knight of the kingdom!?" The giant shouted in anger.
"My word in law in this bar. No matter what, definitely, even if I die, I'll have you out of here." Asta explained in a confident tone of voice before kicking a bottle that was laying by hit feet.
The bottle went flying all the way to the counter where it hit a figurine of a knight. As the figurine fell backwards, it is revealed to be a lever of some kind.
Suddenly, the piece of floor that the three knights are standing on opened.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa…." The giant knight exclaimed as he and his fellow knights fell into the darkness.
"Geez, are you stupid?" Asta asked, turning his attention towards the vermilion hair girl…only to find her standing by the knight figurine, playing with it.
"HAHAHAHAHA! This is fun!" The vermilion hair girl exclaimed with a smile on her face as she open and reopen the trapdoor.
"Whoa! Don't play with it!" Asta shouted, becoming scared at how close he himself is standing by the trapdoor.
Thankfully, the vermilion hair complied and the two of them are sitting by the counter.
"Let me ask you again. ARE YOU STUPID!? picking a fight with the kingdom's knight is a one-way ticket to prison! You might even get executed. Because of you, the rest of the customers ran away two! I lost so much money." Asta explained in a angry tone of voice.
"How much can I get if I sell that ticket?" The vermilion hair girl asked innocently, making Asta bash his head onto the table.
"UUUUG! My luck with customers today is horrible!" Asta exclaimed before looking up to see the vermilion hair girl with a slight sad expression on her face.
"….Sorry, I was harsh on you." Asta said, gaining a guilty expression on his face.
However, a rumbling sound is heard.
"I'm so hungry." The vermilion hair girl said, making Asta gain a tick mark.
"Why you….." Asta grumbled slightly before sighing and headed towards the kitchen, making the vermilion hair girl gain a curious expression on her face.
After a few minutes, Asta returned with a plate of food in his hands.
"Wooow! Thanks…..um. What's your name?" The vermilion hair girl asked as she stared at the food with a happy expression on her face.
"I'm Asta. The master of this bar, Avallo. And you are?" Asta asked, leaning on the counter.
I'm just an ordinary Mimosa that you can find anyway. Thanks for the food." The now known Mimosa introduce herself.
"…I'm not sure if "Mimosa" is a common name. Its a name for a plant for starters." Asta thought, gaining a confuse expression on his face.
"You don't seem like a girl from the towns or villages around here…Just take your time and eat, and tell me wha-!" Asta began to say but stop when he saw that the food has completely vanished.
"That was good." Mimosa said in satisfied tone of voice.
"So fast!" Asta exclaimed in a shock tone of voice.
"A-anyway, can you tell me more about the Seven Deadly Sins like you were talking about earli-" Asta began to ask but stop when he saw that Mimosa has fallen asleep.
"So fast! Your are unpredictable…" Asta commented with a stunned expression on his face before picking Mimosa up and carrying her up the stairs.
"I should just throw you out into the blizzard. But I have so many things I want to ask you….." Asta said to the sleeping form of Mimosa, remembering the first words that Mimosa said when she entered Avallo.
It was at that moment that Mimosa decided to chop down on Asta's hair.
"Hey!" Asta exclaimed in a shock tone of voice.
When Asta reached a spare room, he flung Mimosa onto the bed.
"Geez, what a happy face." Asta said as he place a blanket over the sleeping Mimosa.
"Well, she does have nerves of steel. And a ridiculous appetite." Asta said to himself whilst scratching the back of his head.
Sighing, Asta turned around and headed towards the door.
"No clues today either…." Asta muttered as he began to close the door.
"Seven….Deadly…..Sins….." A voice spoke, making Asta stop and turned his head towards Mimosa.
"I'll….find them…..for sure…." Mimosa mumbled in her sleep with tears in her eyes, causing Asta's face to soften slightly.
"Please, stop it!" A man shouted whilst on his knees.
"You should feel honored. Your sister was chosen to be my companion for the evening." A man wearing armor explained in a calm tone of voice whilst having a women in a tight grip.
"L-Lord Alioni! I will bring my grains before the deadline! So don't take my-" The man began to say but was cut off as the now known Alioni swing his sword at the man.
"Sister…." The man said before falling onto the ground with a massive wound on his body.
"I baptize this pitiful soul. I am a Holy knight, no one who crosses me will be forgiven." Lord Alioni said as he licked the female's cheek.
"Throw that body out, it's an eyesore." Alioni said, causing some times to nod their head before taking the dead man's body out of the room.
"You three…..what is a Holy knight? " Alioni asked, turning his attention towards the three knights that were at Avallo earlier, now in a sober state.
"Yes sir! A Holy knight is a god-of-war-like a entity which reigns supreme over the kingdom and it's knights. Surpassing human limits through regiments of harsh training, it is a knight of unparalleled strength!" All three knights explained at the same time.
"Correct, which means, a Holy knight's subordinates must be equals, unparalleled as well. And you're telling me that you ran from two brats with your tails tucked between your legs? You've embarrassed me." Alioni said with a angry, yet emotionless, expression on his face, making the three knights scared.
Back at the Avallo, Mimosa is slowly waking up.
"…..One more bucket of food…..ehehe….." Mimosa mumbled before blinking her eyes, becoming awake. One of her hands touched paper, causing the vermilion hair girl to become confuse before picking up the piece of paper and sat up.
"When you wake up, take a bath. You stink way too much." Mimosa read from the piece of paper.
Within the bar area, Asta stretched his arms.
"Its almost dawn…..cleaning took way to long." Asta said in a slightly tired tone of voice before jolting awake when a loud bang is suddenly heard.
The ash-white hair teen turned his head towards the source of the noise to see the front door wide open.
"T-that scared me! I didn't close it all the way…."Asta muttered to himself before walking over to the door and shutting it properly.
"Hahahah. What I'm getting scared about. There's no such things as ghosts." Asta said to himself, smiling slightly.
However, it was then that a dripping sound is heard.
"GYAAAAAA! Its here!" Asta exclaimed in fear.
"Hahahaha. Asta, you are so easily scared. You're so weird." A familiar voice said, making Asta relaxed.
"Oh. Its just you, Mimosa-!" Asta said as he turned around…..only to see Mimosa completely naked and dripping wet.
"You're the weird one!" Asta exclaimed as he jerked his head to the side, blushing furiously.
With some difficulty, Asta managed to get Mimosa back into the bath.
"Can't you take a bath by yourself!? Don't walk around naked!" Asta exclaimed as he pulled the curtain.
"~But I never took a bath by myself before~" Mimosa said in a carefree tone of voice as she got back into the bath.
"Just who are you?" Asta asked just as Mimoisa turned around to look at the ash-white hair teen and notice something.
"Your trousers are bulging." Mimosa commented, not embarrassed at all.
"Leave me alone!" Asta shouted in a shock tone of voice.
Before long, Mimosa has finished taking her shower and is in new clothes which include a cream-coloured shirt, along with a matching skirt and a blue corset. There is also a dagger attached to a belt.
"Wow, thanks! Is this the uniform for this bar?" Mimosa asked as she examine herself before noticing something.
"Its a little tight on the chest, though….." Mimosa commented as she look down at the almost bursting shirt.
"So, what's your reason? Why are you looking for the Seven Deadly Sins despite the danger?" Asta asked, causing Mimosa to become quiet as she sat down opposite the ash-white hair teen.
"I want them…to save the kingdom from the tyranny of the Holy knights. The cries of the people oppressed by the Holy knights never cease in the kingdom….Of course, there were people that resisted as well. But in the end, no one could stand up against the Holy knights…" Mimosa explained, causing Asta to stare at her for a few seconds before starting to laugh.
"So you're looking for the poisonous snakes to take care of the rat infestation! This is classic!" Asta exclaimed as he slapped the table with his hand.
"Do you even know what kind of people the Seven Deadly Sins are?" Asta asked as he stop laughing before sounding slightly seriously.
Mimosa closed her eyes before speaking.
"I don't know from personal experience…..But when I was little, my papa would always tell me, the Seven Deadly Sins was the strongest and cruelest order of knights, formed by seven brutal villains. And as a sign of their identity, they carved symbols of seven beasts onto their bodies." Mimosa explained, making Asta nod his head slightly.
"But ten years ago, they were accused of plotting to overthrow the kingdom, and were executed after all the Holy knights launched a full offense against them…..But I heard a rumor that they actually survived and are in hiding somewhere." Mimosa finished explaining.
"If you know all that, then why are you looking for terrible criminals to help you?" Asta asked, leaning his head on his arm.
"The ones that are actually holding the people are the Holy knights! The only ones that can stand up against them are the Seven Deadly Sins!" Mimosa replied in a determined tone of voice.
"….." Asta didn't say anything as he stare Mimosa right in the eyes.
"My papa….tried to stop the Holy knights too, but he was thrown in prison….. I don't have anyone else to rely on…." Mimosa said, her hands clenching slightly.
"What about your resolve?" Asta asked in a serious tone of voice.
"Huh?" Mimosa said in a confuse tone of voice.
"The Seven Deadly Sins are terrible criminals. If they're still alive, and if you were able to find them, do you really think they'd just jump right on board? Hypothetically, if I knew them personally, I would put in a good word with them. How much resolve could you show me?" Asta explained in a serious tone of voice.
Mimosa became quiet for a few seconds before taking out her dagger and plunging it straight towards her free hand that she place on the table…only for it to strike Asta's hand instead.
"Asta!? Why!?" Mimosa exclaimed in a shock tone of voice before falling backwards.
"I'm sorry! Does it hurt…?" Mimosa asked in a nervous tone of voice as she picked herself up off the ground.
"Yeah…..it's a good pain and resolve." Asta replied with a smile on his face as he examine the wound before suddenly looking up.
"Huh?" Mimosa said, becoming confuse at Asta's action.
"….Looks like a customer who can't wait for opening time." Asta muttered with a serious expression on his face.
Suddenly, one of the walls burst inwards, making dust rise into the air.
"So this is the revolting bar that operates without a license…It must be destroyed right away." Alioni said as the dust settled.
The Holy knight then notice Asta and Mimosa.
"Two brats. Could it really be that you're the owner?" Alioni asked Asta in a calm tone of voice.
"If you're just here to waste my time, leave." Asta replied, not intimidated by the arrival of Alioni and the group of knights behind him.
"That pitch-black armor…A Holy knight!" Mimosa said, gaining a worried expression on her face.
"You were defeated by mere brats like them?" Alioni asked to the three knights behind him that were at the bar the previous night.
"P-please spare us!" The three knights exclaimed at the same time.
However, Alioni ignored them as he notice Mimosa.
"Oh! My, my….the wanted fugitive and former princess, Lady Mimosa." Alioni said, causing Mimosa to gulp slightly.
"Mimosa is a princess!?" Asta shouted in his head in a shock.
"Let my papa go!" Mimosa shouted at Alioni.
"I'm afraid I can't do that. The times are changing, Lady Mimosa. In place of the incompetent royal family, we, the powerful Holy knights, will build a new age." Alioni explained before starting to smirk.
"However, you and your father, the king, have the support of the people, and are, to be frank, quite a nuisance. This is a convenient. Please disappear, along with that brat. Do it!" Alioni ordered the knights, causing them to charge forwards, swords at the ready.
"Asta, run away!" Mimosa shouted in fear. However, Asta stated in the same spot and when one of the knights came close to him, the ash-white hair teen punched him, sending him flying, straight over Alioni's shoulder and into the snow.
The other knights froze and what just happened.
"I won't lay a single finger on Mimosa." Asta said as Mimosa stood next to him with a open mouth.
"You been quiet this whole time but who the hell do you think you are?" One of the knights asked as he attempted to strike Asta.
However, the ash-white hair teen swing his fist, knocking the knight onto the ground.
"Oho? Not bad for a brat….." Alioni commented in a intrigued tone of voice.
"A knight is a powerful being that rules over the powerless. And the one standing at the top is me, a Holy knight." Alioni explained just as Asta notice the three knights.
"Are you the one that did that to them? Aren't they your subordinates?" Asta asked, seeing how beaten up they are.
"Who cares? It doesn't matter. Just hurry up and take care of them." Alioni ordered the other knights, causing them to charge towards Asta again.
"…..A knight protect the comrades! The people! The promises! The principles! They are the guardians!" Asta exclaimed as he beat every single knight that came close to him.
However, it was at that moment that Alioni swing his sword, sending out a wave of energy, completely destroying the place.
"I heard that there used to be a time when knighthood was a joke like that. Back when the Seven Deadly Sins or some antique knights were around." Alioni said with a wide grin on his face whilst the other knights stared in awe at the power of the Holy knight.
Alioni notice something, making him confuse.
"What….a table-leg wasn't destroyed?" Alioni asked himself as he look at the table-leg that is black in colour.
"That's right. We protected, protected, and protected some more. From when the kingdom was tiny fledgling to when it was a massive kingdom. We zealously protected and completely crushed our enemies. Because that was our pride!" Asta said as he grab the black table-leg.
"Asta, is that a bruise?" Mimosa asked, noticing something on his right shoulder that was hidden by a sleeve.
However, when the vermilion hair girl took a closer look, she notice that the bruise is a tattoo in the shape of a dragon eating it's tail.
"The symbol of the beast…..the Dragon Of Wrath!?" Mimosa thought just as the gears in her head started to turn.
"But because we were too perfect, the kingdom perceived us as a threat!" Asta said before removing the table-leg from the ground.
"Asta! Are you….." Mimosa began to ask as things started to click in her head.
"Asta? There….was someone with that name in their group…..A kid like this a member of the Seven Deadly Sins!? That's impossible!" Alioni exclaimed as his eyes widened at what he's seeing in front of him.
"Correct, but you're just a little off. The order of the great evil knights, the Seven Deadly Sins. I'm the captain, Asta!" The ash-white hair teen introduce himself as he wield a giant sword with a black blade, with the "table-leg" being the handle of the sword.
"That legendary, villainous Seven Deadly Sins' captain!?" The knights exclaimed in shock.
"T-then that means we're goners." A knight said, sounding scared.
"No way! No way! No way! No way! Then how old does that make you!" Alioni shouted before lunging towards Asta.
"KYEEEEEEEEE!" Alioni exclaimed as he throw multiple magical slashes towards the ash-white hair teen.
Mimosa hid behind Asta and closed her eyes, fearing the worst.
However, non of Alioni's attacks reached Asta…even though it seem he just stood still and did nothing.
"What? He parried every single one of my attacks! I couldn't even see what he did!" Alioni thought, starting to sweat.
"if you don't want to die, hold your sword up to your chest." Asta instructed with a serious expression on his face before suddenly thrusting his giant sword at Alioni.
Fortunately, Alioni did managed to place his sword over his chest….but he was sent flying at a fast speed.
"The repair fees are on you." Asta commented, even though Alioni couldn't hear him.
Mimosa watched as the rest of the knights ran away.
"All right! I'll take on your request." Asta said as he "sheathed" his giant sword back into the ground.
"Wha….? Really!?" Mimosa asked with a shock expression on her face.
However, her expression turned into a sad one.
"But….I'm the daughter of the king that condemned you for the sins that you didn't commit…." Mimosa pointed out in a sad tone of voice.
"I saw your resolve and determination. That's enough for me. Whether you're just an ordinary Mimosa or Princess Mimosa….I swear it on the names of the Seven Deadly Sins. No matter what, definitely, even if I die, I'll rebuild the kingdom." Asta explained with a smile on his face.
"Asta!" Mimosa exclaimed with a wide smile on her own face.
"Well first, we have to find the other members….." Asta began to explain as walked over to the serving area and took out a beer-bottle from underneath the counter.
The ash-white hair teen then place the beer-bottle in a slot on the shelf behind him.
"If we want to protect the kingdom, we'll need all of their strength." Asta said just as the section of the wall in front of the ash-white hair teen opened, revealing the outside world.
"Huh?" Mimosa said in confuse tone of voice before a rumbling can be felt.
"For the past ten years, I've been traveling with this bar, gathering information on my other comrades." Asta explained just as the plot of land where Allavo stood burst upwards, now standing on four spider-like legs.
"Let's go!" Asta exclaimed and Avallo started to move, starting on it's journey that would shake the entire world.
"Hey, hey! Let me control it too!" Mimosa said before attempting to take control of Avallo.
"Stop that!" Asta exclaimed, trying to stop Mimosa from taken over the controls.
This resulted in Avallo crashing into a mountain wall.
"…Whoops" Mimosa said with a sheepish smile on her face.
"...This is going to be a long journey." Asta muttered before sighing deeply.
And there we have it. As you can see, I decided to swap Mimosa with Noelle in this version because I can't see Noelle acting like the prototype-Elizabeth. You can also say that the other characters will be shuffling roles in this version as well. By the way, if the creator of the "Seven Deadly Sins" decided to use the concept of the prototype-chapter as the official version, how much of the story will be changed, such as character personalities.
