Suddenly, instead of being in the cave the two were in the middle of a strange planet. "What?! What type of trick is this, Frieza?!" Vegeta enquired as he took a glance at his surroundings. This was definitely not Earth, though for some reason this unknown planet felt familiar, like he'd been there before.
"Shut up and watch the scene" Frieza simply told him.
"Watch what?" Vegeta questioned. Frieza simply pointed upwards and looked at the sky. Vegeta turned his head and followed with his eyes until he spotted something floating amongst the clouds, not just one but two points in the sky. Upon glancing closely, he gasped in surprise, seeing himself (although fifty years younger) next to Nappa, like in the old days when they worked conquering planets for the Frieza Force.
Then, Vegeta realized where they were standing. "This is Jiljksei, right? But it's impossible! I destroyed this planet like fifty years ago!" he exclaimed in disbelief.
"Just wait and see" the white-and-purple alien told him once more.
Then the Vegeta and Nappa from the vision started to attack a village full of blue small-round aliens, who were previously eating a banquet, as if they were celebrating something. The two Saiyans quickly turned every house into ashes with their Ki blasts, completely destroying the village.
"Hey Nappa, weren't these guys celebrating something?" the young Vegeta asked.
"Yeah, Raditz told me they celebrated that their god let them be together tonight or something like that" Nappa answered.
"Well, they can keep celebrating all together in Hell!" the Vegeta from the vision exclaimed before bursting into laughter, with Nappa soon following.
The present Vegeta actually had to keep himself from laughing at his younger-self's joke. Even with all the time passed, there was still something there that seemed funny. Perhaps it was the memories from simpler days, when all he cared about was conquering.
However, his smirk soon turned into a frown when he heard the figure next to him laugh. That laugh still brought so many bad memories to Vegeta's mind. "Oh my, Vegeta! I have to say, you had quite the potential in you. It's such a shame that you decided to settle down with that family of yours, rather than building your own empire like I did" Frieza said with a smug smile as he watched the young Vegeta and Nappa causing wreckage and destruction.
"Shut up" Vegeta responded with a grunt. "Why did you bring me to watch this anyways? I know what happens, I was there already."
"That's the point. You see, Vegeta, we're taking a look at what you have done in pasts Christmas" Frieza explained.
"I've done a lot of things…" Vegeta muttered.
"And all of them bad" Frieza retorted.
"You're one to talk! Need I remind you I slaughtered these people so you could sell their planet?" Vegeta pointed a thumb at the blue aliens' fate.
"Technically correct, but I still have the moral obligation to point out how bad your actions were" the galactic emperor smirked, clearly pleased with himself. "But wait, there's more!" he exclaimed as suddenly, they teleported once again, traveling through some sort of multicolored tunnel with many clocks spinning backwards around it.
"What's this?!" Vegeta exclaimed as they went through the tunnel. Finally, they came out of the tunnel and Vegeta found himself in a more familiar place, his house at Capsule Corp. There, he saw another younger version of himself, still wearing his Saiyan armor from before the android days, arguing with Bulma over, you guessed it, Christmas.
"I'm just saying, you've been on Earth for two years and you still haven't come around to celebrate it" the Bulma from the vision told this version of Vegeta.
"So what?" the younger Saiyan questioned.
"You've been wasting two years already…" the blue-haired woman said.
"Too bad!" the young Vegeta exclaimed before leaving the room.
"Too bad indeed, Vegeta" Frieza told the present day Saiyan. "You know, I'm quite surprised that you actually managed to form a family, you're not the family type at all" the tyrant smirked once again.
"Go to hell!" Vegeta replied with anger.
"I will in just a minute, but first there's something more I want to show you" Frieza said as they reentered the clock tunnel, before appearing on what seemed to be the middle of outer space.
"Where are we? In space? How can I even breathe here?" the Saiyan wondered.
"Because this is all an illusion. Now quiet, you don't want to miss this" the alien ghost told him, trying to hide the excitement in his voice but failing at doing so.
Vegeta then saw an image in front of him which he thought he never would again. "I-Is that Planet Vegeta?!" he exclaimed as he saw his namesake home planet in front of him. Next to it, Frieza's former ship floated around its orbit, with many of the former emperor's soldiers battling a lone, hurt Saiyan, who immediately reminded Vegeta of someone. "Is that Kakarot?" the Saiyan Prince wondered as he looked at this warrior, who was in fact the living image of his rival, though something in him was different, more savage and less happy-go-lucky than the Kakarot he knew. This guy was more akin to the Saiyans that Vegeta knew so well.
"Hardly…" Frieza smirked as the Kakarot lookalike shot a blast of energy towards the past self of the galactic emperor, who retaliated with a huge Death Ball that completely engulfed the Saiyan's blast, before taking him along with some soldiers and finally crashing into Planet Vegeta, which blew up after a few seconds. The younger version of Frieza laughed hysterically at this, soon joined by the ghost version too.
Vegeta growled in anger as he watched the destruction of his own planet and the dismissal of his entire race. A part of his minded wondered if that was how those blue aliens had felt when he and Nappa had destroyed them, and if this was in fact what this ghostly version of Frieza wanted him to understand. "What does this have to do with Christmas?" the Saiyan asked, wanting to be sure if he was right on those thoughts.
"Oh, nothing at all! I just wanted to show you how I destroyed your planet along with your filthy race!" the ghost tyrant laughed at him.
That was enough to infuriate Vegeta past the point of dialogue. "THAT'S IT! BIG BANG ATTACK!" the Prince roared as he shoot his powerful attack at the ghost of Frieza, completely engulfing him in the attack. It didn't matter to him whether he could hurt this apparition or not, but he was not going to take his insults anymore.
After the lights of the attack died down, Vegeta found himself inside the cave once again, with no trace of Frieza, Nappa or any ghosts whatsoever. In fact, one could have sworn that nothing happened in the cave at all. Vegeta looked around frantically just in case, trying to spot any presence that could be there with him.
"Hey Vegeta!" Goku happily saluted.
