Author Note: Part of the Christmas Explosion. Merry Christmas!
I do not own Camp Camp.
Enjoy!
"One, two! One, Two!"
That was the sound of Camp Alien going for their morning jog around the island.
But this time they had watchers, they really shined on sports day.
A certain moron was thinking about having his campers run at ungodly hours of the morning.
However, two were kids from Camp Campbell, they waited for the camp to finish behind a bush and then headed there, it really was easy to sneak away during the chaos of the morning.
They walked to the woods and saw them lifting.
"An island run and now their lifting?" Said Neil.
Why though?
Both he and Nikki watched, Nikki was mostly here so that she can steal their food.
They watched Camp Alien get messaged by the camp counsellor and then get told by them.
"Alright, kids you can now eat," said Daniel.
The doors of food delight opened and both of them almost got knocked down.
Nikki identified what she was inside immediately by a sniff as she said. "I smell bacon, sausage, muffins and cake!"
And she was off, Neil couldn't stop her, everybody stared as the two ran into the camp and entered the food building.
However, when they got there, Neil was shocked.
"Padded seats." He began. "A nice carpet. No food on the floor, space-themed wallpaper and decorations! Heating. And is that, a robot!?"
He was not expected to hear. "Indeed" from behind him and he turned around to find Daniel.
"All our food, is prepared by the state of the art technology," said Daniel walking to the robot and saying. "Do you kids want anything?"
"Give me pancakes," said Nikki, as the kids came inside.
The robot obeyed and freshly made pancakes we're prepared before their eyes and put on a plate.
"Woah," said Neil as Nikki took them and sat down.
"Sit down and enjoy some breakfast. No child deserves to go hungry" said Jen.
"Oh, thanks," said Neil before he said his order and sat down with Nikki who wished she had some syrup.
"So can we ask, why your here?" Said, Daniel.
This is the second time, these kids had entered their camp chasing food.
Were they not being fed back at Camp Campbell?
"Oh, well. We want to see if, you were really a-" Nikki began only for Neil to stop her.
"She means to say is" interrupted, Neil. "We wanted to see Campgrounds. You guys were so impressive on sports day, that we wanted to see how you guys do it. I've always wanted to learn about space and let's just say, Camp Campbell, is Camp Campbell"
"They feed us something made from our creepy groundskeeper," said Nikki.
"I see," said Jen. "But if you want to look around, you should have waited for next year. We don't take transfers and just anybody. We look for a certain type of adult to send their kids here"
And there was a certain way, she said the last sentence that made them both nervous.
Daniel injected lightly and said. "Right. Going to this camp is very expensive. We promised each and every one of these kids that they would have a great time at Camp Alien. We only have a certain number of spots so that we can share the maximum number of resources equally. So please leave after you've done."
And then Jen dropped a bomb and said. "Yes, please. Us and the campers are about to head out to the nearby town for an exciting field trip"
That got noise.
A few minutes later, David came to collect his two compers and both of them left while seeing Max clear whisper, 'come back' at night.
"Alright, Campers." Said, Daniel. "Time to get on the bus and head to a town, that is nicer than the place I grew up in but is considered awful by Earth standards."
They all got to the bus, where WiFi was and drove to Town.
When they got out, Max's heart sank as did many others.
It was a hick town, hardly anybody was here.
It smelled awful.
"This right here, could use more fire and death but other than that, it smells like my home," said Daniel. "So let us go on a tour and hopeful go back to a much cleaner place, in an hour and eat lunch"
They began walking and boredom soon seeped in because everything was so old, It was so empty, there was basically nothing to do.
There was not even an old timely arcade.
"This town, blows," said one kid.
"Yes, we know," said Jen. "That's why our camp doesn't get any of our supplies from here like Camp Campbell."
"Yes, your parents paid a lot of money. The least we can do is not shop here" said Daniel, just then a local walked out.
Completely two-faced Daniel said. "Amazing town by the way. Inspirational"
He then turned to Jen, with a bored look and said. "Let's go before mosquitoes start sticking to my white pants"
"Alright, back to the bus!" said Jen.
The kids couldn't have moved fast enough back to the bus and then they drove back.
They got to the camp and had food, they went back to learning and Max was horrified to see Jen sniff one of them midway.
Jen looked at Daniel and Daniel smile widened.
Max got the feeling, soon somebody was coming for that kid.
He had to get out right now.
However it seemed Fate was on his side because who to enter, was none other than the Flower scouts leader Penelope Priss.
"Ooooh, Daniel! I didn't expect you had company" said the woman, in a sickly sweet tone. "I was wondering if I can speak to you privately about the future of our two camps"
"Well, I would be delighted too," said the alien getting up and saying. "Jen, take it from here"
"Alright, kids. Off to bed" said Jen.
They all groaned but complied, Daniel went off with Penelope and Mark took the barrier lifting as a chance to run off.
Daniel followed the woman deep into the woods and said. "So, do you want to set up a day with the kid-"
Suddenly she put her finger on his lips and shooed him.
His eyes went a bit wide.
"Don't speak, just listen" she said. "I find you very attractive and I was wondering if you would like to be my side man?"
"Excuse me, what?" He said.
"You know. A man, my man doesn't need to know about" said the woman. "A little hug. A little kiss. A little flirting. A little skin here and there so I can admire that naked cute butt of yours" before she whispered. "Or you can look at mine"
His eyes went wide.
"How do these look?" She said, opening her shirt and revealing how small her bra was around her breasts.
Daniel's eyes moved to something else.
"Wait. Is that one of my campers?" He said, seeing Max run with two children.
He shoved her aside and run after them.
It was either that, or he would snap this woman neck and send a robot in her place.
Max turned around only to see Daniel quickly coming towards them.
"Holy shit! It's Daniel!" Yelled Max. "Run faster!"
The other two looked behind them and their faces went completely white as Daniel hoped.
Dani crawled onto trees like a spider and moved unnaturally.
He was enjoying the look of pure fear on their faces.
"Holy, shit there is no way, that's human!" Yelled Neil.
It was clear Daniel was doing this for fun, which made it that much more terrifying, he was allowing them to run even though he could catch up so easily with his long legs.
They went to Camp Campbell and entered a building with kids, then they began to board the door up like nobody business.
"What's going on?" Said Gwen.
"Isn't that a camper from Camp Alien?" Said one of the kids.
"Don't just stand there." Said Max. "Somebody call the police! My counsellor wants to turn me into a slave for a war criminal!"
Huh?
That's when they heard footsteps, it was loud, like in a horror movie, they didn't know which direction it was coming from but it was there.
And then they heard whispered in a low voice. "Max...won't you come out and play with me? Max, won't you come out and play?" Followed by the sound of a neck cracking.
Even David, the moron's face was like WTF?
As it repeated itself, over and over again, they didn't know where it was coming from.
The kids were terrified.
They heard a window being opened, followed by footsteps above them.
"Oh, my god. He's inside" said Nikki.
"Everybody calm down," said David. "I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation for this"
"Or, I can just crank out the gun," said Gwen. "Its pitch black outside. I'm not taking any chances"
"I'll call the..." Began somebody, but Max felt his body go cold when he felt something suddenly tower behind him.
Everybody was wide-eyed.
"He's standing right behind me, isn't he?" Said Max.
And that's when Daniel tackled him to the ground and Max screamed and kicked as his life demanded on it, but Daniel pined everything down and was far too large for him.
Suddenly they all heard. "And simulation over. Your dead"
Silence.
What?
Daniel got off him, while Max sat up looking shocked and he wasn't the only one.
"Simulat-what now?" Said Gwen.
"Simulation, over," said Daniel, going on to explain. "Each of my campers get to experience what it's like to be in an alien predator move. It was advertised in the brochure."
He gave David the fake brochure.
"We give your kids, the full alien hunted down experience," said Daniel.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, Max. And other kids" said, Daniel. "But I wanted this to be as realistic as possible so I didn't tell Max. Sure I dirted my clothes but I achieved the best result. Now Max can tell his parents that he experienced what it's like to be in that kind of movie. Didn't you have fun?"
Max and the kids stared at him.
"But we saw you scale up a tree like a spider and move your body like your a puppet!" said Neil.
"I put some small sharp clip ones on my nails and shoes to climb," said Daniel. "As for my body, I used to be a contortionist. I can pack myself into a really small suitcase. So dislocating my limbs isn't really that new for me"
He strangely dislocated his arm and it dangled and then he popped it back in like it was nothing.
"Ooh," said the camp kids.
"Not ooh," said Max. "What about the footsteps, the creepy voice. The cracking?"
"Oh, that," he said. "I placed small audios around the hall. The darkness was the perfect cover so nobody can see them. I pre-recorded everything beforehand."
"You have got to be fucking joking!" said Max. "His eyes. He doesn't blink!"
"Of course I do, Max," said Daniel, ready for it. "But I've wear special contacts over my eyes. So while I blink, what you see is a half-closed stare. Of course, I have to take them out every 3 hours to rinse but it's worth it. It's all in the brochure, Max. Well, it looks like somebody didn't read it when you came to the Camp."
He then said to everybody, while putting an arm on Max.
"My camp tries to give the campers, the full space experience," said Daniel, "One day, we could be learning about the inner workings of a rocket to repair it. The next. We could be pretending to be aliens for the day. Of course, we would never harm our campers. It's all in good fun. Every day is designed to be new and exciting"
"That's the spirit, Daniel!" said David and Max automatically didn't like this optimistic moron "That's what camp should be, fresh and exciting"
"Now if you excuse me," said Daniel, clenching Max arm tightly. "I got to take my prisoner back to my mother ship"
He said it without emotion, and then he suddenly burst out laughing seeing their uncomfortable faces.
"Acting for 8 years," he said.
"Wow, your amazing," said one kid.
"Seriously. We thought you were a creep for a split second" said Gwen.
"I'm good aren't I?" Said Daniel, picking Max up and tucking him under his arm. "Well, bye"
He walked out and everybody waved back, they walked back to Camp.
"I can't believe this!" said Max. "You just got away with showing your creepy true self."
"Of course I did, Max," said Daniel. "And it was fun." Before he said, darkly. "Keep trying to get away from me, Max. I'm having a blast but it's useless in the end. Being like me is going to be fun for you, I can tell. Just a nice stab through the heart and you're human emotional will melt away like a dream. Nobody is coming to save you. The humans are too stupid to figure it out-"
He saw the phone in Max's hand.
He heard the click of a shotgun behind him.
"Checkmate," said Max. "You just confessed to being an alien through a call, I made to Neil inside that hall." Before adding. "Did I mention it was on a speakerphone"
He turned to see Gwen holding that shotgun and pointing the gun at him, meanwhile David looked crushed behind him.
"Drop the child, now!" She yelled.
Max, looked smug but Daniel kept the smile.
"Oh, well played, boy," he said.
And scene.
