Mandy and Randy hadn't seen each other in a month but talked and text every day. Tomorrow Mandy was driving for an hour to Athens, to see Randy perform live at a house show for the first time. Mandy had just pulled into her parents driveway for dinner. She was finally going to tell them she was dating Randy. She walked in the house. Her dad Frank was in the living room.

Hi dad. Mandy signed.

Hi Mandy. Frank signed back. They hugged.

Is mom in the kitchen?

Yes.

Mandy went into the kitchen. Her mom Janey turned around saw her and smiled.

Hi. Janey signed.

Hi. Mandy signed back. They hugged. Do you need any help?

You can set the table.

They were sitting at the table eating.

Anything new going on with you Mandy? Frank signed.

Actually yes. Mandy signed. I've been seeing someone.

For how long?

Well we've known each other for two, but a month.

What's his name? Janey signed.

Randy Orton.

Why haven't you brought him by?

He travels a lot for work.

What does he do?

He's a professional wrestler.

A professional wrestler? Frank signed annoyed. That's not a real job.

Yes it is. Mandy signed. Randy's rich. He's a good man. He's a father to a two year old girl.

He's divorced? Janey signed.

Yes.

How can a deaf man be a professional wrestler? Frank signed.

He's not deaf.

What?! Janey signed with a shocked look on her face. You're dating a hearing man?

Yes.

Does he know how to sign?

He's trying to learn.

In other words no. You know it never works out with hearing men.

Hearing men only want one thing. Frank signed. They think getting it from a hearing impaired will be easier.

You guys don't even know him. Mandy signed.

I know all I need to. Janey signed. He's horny and wants to use you.

No. She stood up.

Where are you going?

Home. I'm not going to sit here and let the two of you insult my boyfriend. She left.

The next day Mandy was driving to the arena. She'd talked to Randy earlier but luckily he hadn't asked her about dinner with her parents. When she got to the arena she found his locker room and knocked on the door. He answered and smiled.

"Hi." He said.

Hi." She went inside. They kissed. She hugged him.

"What?" He asked sensing something was wrong.

"Nothing." "I'm glad I'm finally here."

"Me to." "I have a confession to make." "I'm having difficulty with my sign language."

"That's ok." "It's hard for people that aren't used to it." "You'll get it eventually." "I know you don't get to practice a lot."

"Want to see a new picture of Alanna I got today?"

"Yes." He showed it to her. "She is so cute." "Can you send this to my phone?"

"Sure."

Mandy and Randy were in catering.

"John come here." Randy said. He came over. "This is my girlfriend Mandy."

"It's nice to meet you." "I've heard a lot about you."

"It's nice to meet you to." Mandy said. She looked at her phone then at Randy. "I better get to my seat." They kissed. She left.

Randy turned to John.

"Isn't she great?" He said.

"Do you see things getting serious"

"I'm hoping so."

After the show Mandy agreed to back to Randy's hotel room with him for a little while. They were sitting on the couch.

"I had a blast tonight." Mandy said.

"I'm glad." "Oh, I forgot to ask earlier, how was dinner with your parents?"

"Terrible "

"Is that what's wrong?"

"Yeah."

"What happened?"

"I told them about us and it was a disaster." "First, my dad said what you do for a living isn't a real job." "Then when I told them you were hearing, they both said you were just using me for sex." "I got up and left."

"You know I'm not using you for sex right?"

"Of course."

"I'm sorry that happened." They kissed. It slowly became more passionate. Randy laid back on the couch pulling her on top of him. After a few minutes he slowly glided his hands to her ass. She moaned into his mouth. After a few more minutes she broke it. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah." "I don't want to but I should go."

"Are you sure?"

"I have school in the morning."

"Right." They got up. Randy walked her to the door. "Text me when you get home."

"I will." They kissed. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight." She left.
