Enerjak Reborn Saga Episode 2: Power of Enerjak Restored
Not long ago, Knuckles has been transformed into Enerjak and is bent on destroying the world so that it will be reborn, because of Finitevus' manipulation of the Master Emerald and the Dark Legion to do his work. Before he can do the same on Eve, she along with Fiona and Nic have fallen through a Warp Ring. Finitevus knows who has saved the girls.
Meanwhile, Nic and Fiona fall to the soft grass, and the fox still has Eve in her arms who is still emitting strange green and black Chaos Energy around her.
Nic rubs her head, "Ow! That was a rough landing!"
"Yeah. But I'm really worried about Eve," Fiona says, concerned.
Nic sees that Eve is still unconscious and has the strange dark energy still being exposed around her body.
"We need to do something. Even if Finievus didn't place whatever Hex he has in mind for her, I think whatever he did on the Master Emerald might have some effect on her," Fiona says.
"I agree, but we're not Chaos Energy experts, Fi. so we should find out who is. At first, we need to find out who pulled us here," Nic says.
Just then, three figures step forward as one of them says, "That would be me."
Nic and Fiona turn their heads and become shocked.
Fiona says, surprised, "It can't be…"
Back in New Mobotropolis, Sonic and Tails are on the Tornado and on their way to Angel Island.
Sonic turns to Tails, "Step on it, Tails. WE need to get to Angel Island and find Knuckles and the girls…"
"Before Enerjak does," Tails says.
Just then, Nicole speaks through the headset Sonic is wearing, "Sonic? Tails This is Nicole in New Mobotropolis. I'll be monitoring you two from here, and I sent more cameras to find Knuckles and the girls."
In Freedom HQ, Nicole is talking with the boys while Cream, Amy, Cosmo, and Maria are helping Sally contact the other Freedom Fighters. Julie-Su is walking around in concern and Dimitri is simply watching the event.
Amy turns her head back, "I hope you find Eve, Fiona, and Nic, Sonic. So that I can pound some sense into them."
"I can't believe that Eve would do something this dangerous," Cosmo says worried.
"We should have known she would do something so reckless. Who does she think she is?" Cream asks, panicking.
"Chao!" Cheese and Jazz reply.
"I wish you luck guys," Nicole says.
Sally tries to comunitate, "Downunda Freedom Fighters, do you copy?"
"Wolf Pack Freedom Fighters, do you read?" Cream asks.
"Monkey Khan! Shijn Warriors?" Sally adds.
Then Amy asks, "Rob… Mercia Freedom Fighters!"
"Something is scrambling everything we sent out," Sally says worried.
Dimitri says in anger, "It has to be Enerjak! Did you not notice that Angel Island is floating right towards us? If you'd only acted as soon as I…"
"We will be well prepared for him, Dimitri. The probes I sent to Angel Island have arrived," Nicole says.
Then says, "Beginning live feed now. Julie-Su can you tell us what we're seeing?
Julie-Su looks at the screen and notices the area, "That's Cavem canys, the Dingo City… They're doomed."
On Angel Island outside of the Dingo City, the probe of spying on what is happening from behind the bushes. What it's seeing is Enerjak is passing judgement on the Dingoes.
"Your crimes against the Echidnas have been many…" Enerjak says.
The Dingoes are frightened to see the powerful Echidna god in front of them.
Enerjak raises his hand and says, "And Enerjak finds you… GUILTY!"
All the Dingoes are hit with powerful energy. Their weapons and cybergenetics are gone and the Dingoes are defenseless.
"I've taken your weapons, your possessions, and now your pride. Learn humility as you wander the desert with your former leader," Enerjak says, as he uses his power to send the Dingoes away.
However, one Dingo still stands, General Kage Von Stryker.
He says in rage, "You think you scare me, Echidna? So what if you tossed my father? I rallied them once! I'll rally them again!"
Enerjak simply glares at him.
"I've crushed more Echidnas under my boot than I can remember! You'll be no different! Come on, then! Face me!" General Kage angrily says.
Before he can attack, Enerjak traps him in some Chaos Energy and he is not able to move.
"No, General Kage Von Stryker. You are beneath me. Your fate…"
With a wave of his hand, General Kage has his robotic body changed into organic. At the same time, it causes the Dingo City to disappear into thin air.
"Is to live the same fate as your father, as your wretched city vanishes," Enerjak says.
Meanwhile, The Tornado lands on the ground around some construction area. They hop off and begin to make their way to the forest.
Sonic says, "Yo Nicole! We just put down at the launch base. How are we doin'?"
"Poorly, Enerjak just ousted the Dingo Regime and is moving to confront the Frost and Flame Legion," Nicole says.
"Wow. The guy doesn't mess around," Sonic says.
The two hurry through the forest.
"We're heading for the Chaos Chamber. I figure if Knuckles is mounting a resistance, he'll be with the Master Emerald," Sonic reports.
"Understood, please hurry," Nicole says.
Sonic then jumps off the waterfall and Tails grabs his hand to fly him to where the Chamber is.
Sonic says, "C'mon, Nicole. This is me we're talking about. When do I not 'hurry'?"
"Maybe we should joke less, hurry more," Tails says.
"Erm… yeah. Let's do that," Sonic says.
The two hurry to the Chaos Chamber. Somewhere in the forest, the Dark Legion are firing at Enerjak with all their might, but to no avail. Enerjak is protecting himself with a Chaos Force field, similar to Eve's Chaos Bubble.
Remington commands, "Keep him at bay, Frost Legion! Show him the penalty for stealing my birthright!"
Enerjak pays no heed. Instead, he uses his Chaos Energy to lift Remington in the air and has him at close range.
He then says, "My dear friend, you never wanted my power. You were proud of who you once were. It is a crime that you have been reduced to this. Be whole once more, Remington!"
He then snaps his fingers and Remington begins to change. In a second, Remington is wearing his original clothes, and his body is completely. Organic. Enerjak then places Remington back on the ground. Remington is starting to regain his memories as well and feels a bit pale.
"M-my m-m-memory...m-m-my b-body…" Remington replies, stunned and places his hand on his head.
Enerjak answers, "Restored to their natural state. Just as I've levitated you from your unnatural cybernetic parts…"
He then raises a staff and swifts it as he says, "So I will liberate the rest of the Flame and Frost Legions!"
Soon, the Legion's body glows as well, and all of their cybernetic body parts have disappeared and replaced with organic ones. There are mixed feelings among the groups: Surprised, shocked, relieved, and angry, and all still have a bit of fear of Enerjak's power.
Lien-Da is the first to make it known, "You monster! Those parts enhanced us! It's not unnatural… to better yourself!"
Enerjak is not pleased with the tone, and says, "If that is how you and your idiot followers feel, then you can stay stranded here. Those thankful for my blessing shall be returned home… to Albion."
At Freedom HQ, the Freedom Fighters are not liking what they're seeing.
Dimitir angrily says, "Do something! He's brutalizing my people!"
"S-Sally?" Nicole asks, stunned.
"R-right! There's still one channel I haven't tried yet," Sally says, worried.
Dimitri then glares at Nicole, "You're the A.I that controls the city, aren't you? Construct a weapon to strike now while we have it!"
"I will not devote the Nanites or this city to weapons of any kind. Sonic and Tails are on Angel Island right now, and…" Nicole angrily says.
But Julie-Su speaks in concern, "Nicole…"
The two then turn to see Julie-Su who is very worried.
Julie-Su asks, "Have they found Knuckles, yet?"
"They… had some trouble getting into the Chaos Chamber. I should have an update on them soon. They haven't seen the girls either. I'm sure he…"
"The last time Knuckles faced Enerjak, he was planning to destroy him. This time, here aren't any ancient walkers to rescue him. So would you please tell those two to pick up the pace!" Julie-Su says in anger and tears coming down from her face.
Sally and Nicole decide to do what Julie-Su says. As the girls try to figure out what to do. Dimitri decides to leave.
He says to himself, "I should've known better than to come to these 'heroes.' At least my great granddaughter, Eve and her two friends decided to act when they had the chance. It looks like I'll have to cast my lot with the more powerful side. I can only hope there is still time and Eve can tell her friends what has happened."
Back on Angel Island, Nic and Fiona are confused to see Locke. What's more, Moritori Rex and Athair are with them.
"Locke? Moritori? And Athair? What are you doing here?" Nic asks.
"Not that we're not glad to see familiar faces, but uh…" Fiona says.
But remembers, "Please tell us, what's going on? Why is Finitevus done to Knuckles, and what happened to Eve?"
"I wouldn't be surprised about being confused. You never expected all this to happen," Locke says.
Athair walks to the girls and kneels to see Eve's condition. The Dark Chaos energy is still emitting from her body and she is showing signs of pain from the energy on her face.
"As I feared, Eve has been exposed to the Master Emerald's energy, but I can also sense a powerful Hex on it," Athair says.
"I'm not entirely sure, but something tells me she was trying to save Knuckles, but ended up getting herself hexed as well," Nic says.
"And Finitevus was planning on placing one on her, and said something about Eve having the Master Emerald sword," Fiona says.
"I believe we can answer all your questions, but you must come with us. We can't let Enerjak know of Eve's whereabouts," Locke says.
Fiona and Nic follow the three echidnas as Fiona has Eve in her arms. Luckily, they are able to arrive into the secret base right away.
Locke turns to the girls, "Have Eve placed there."
Fiona walks to a bed and places Eve on it, and Nic covers most of her with a sheet, only her head and a part of her upper body is exposed. The Dark Chaos Energy continues to be emitting from under the sheet.
"Alright Eve is rested and all that, can you please tell us what's going on?" Fiona asks
"Yeah. I'm not sure if you know, but Knuckles and Eve's lives are at stake, not to mention everyone else's. Especially from what Finitevus is blabbering about back in the chamber," Nic says.
"It's a rather long story, but in short. Finitevus had this treacherous plan to release Enerjak and have him destroy the world so that a new one can take its place. Knuckles was the perfect Guardian to become Enerjak's vessel. During the time, Finitevus has all of the Brotherhood Guardians imprisoned and performs various experiments," Moritori says.
"Experiments? So you were one of them?" Nic asks, shocked.
"Yes. Most of them were thrown into the Twilight Cage Zone when they're not powerful enough. Athair, the only other guardian who wasn't imprisoned was able to save me. And yet he continues to find the Guardian for his plan," Moritori says.
"Eve was right that something is very wrong with that guy, but we never expected this," Fiona says.
Then Nic asks, "But what happened to Eve, whatever Finitevus did to the Master Emerald is hurting her."
"I'm afraid it's more than that," Locke says.
"What do you mean?" Fiona asks.
"The Hex that Finitevus placed on the Master Emerald is a very powerful one. When Knuckles comes in contact with it, the Hex is placed in him with full force. I suspected Eve was trying to grab hold of Knuckles and the Hex ended up traveling into her. I fear if we don't remove the hex, she will end up suffering the same fate as Knuckles," Athair says.
Fiona becomes shocked, "Are you saying that Eve might have transformed into Enerjak, too?"
"That is what we suspect, which is why we need to find a way to prevent it. Only then we can find out how to cure Knuckles," Locke says.
"But can't any of you use the Master Emerald? Maybe that can help," Fiona says.
"I'm afraid it is not possible at this point," Locke says.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Nic asks.
"The Hex that Finitevus placed is powerful enough to block me, Locke, and Moirtori out. It's like he locked our access to the Master Emerald," Athair says.
"So then our hands are tied," Fiona says.
"There might be a way, but I'm not sure. Until then, we need to find a way to help Sonic and the others before things can get any worse," Locke says.
Nic and Fiona feel they need to figure something out to get Sonic and the others to know what's going on. As the group talks, Eve is still laying down in bed. Unknown to them and Eve, her sword, the Master Emerald Sword is beginning to show a small dim glow. The glow is a bright green color, different than the one Eve is surrounded by. Then the glow begins to slowly counteract with the hex and the Dark Chaos Energy.
Back in Freedom HQ, Sally continues to try and make contact.
Sally calls, "G.U.N Headquarters. This is Princess Sally Acorn! Please Respond!"
Just then, they manage to get through, Rouge appears on the screen that fuzzy."
"Speak up, sweetheart! I can barely understand you," Rouge says.
"Rouge?!" Sally replies.
Nicole who is using her nanites to pick up the signal, "Keep talking, Sally. I'll do what I can to strengthen the signal.
Sally explains, "We are being threatened by something worse than Dr. Eggman. We're cut off from all other allies, and we need any support you can send us! What's more, Eve, Fiona, and Nic went to Angel Island alone and we haven't heard back from any of them, and Sonic and Tails went to the island to look for them!"
"Hold on the fort, Princess. Our best agent is in the area. I'll send him yo…" Rouge says, but the signal is cut off.
Sally rubs her head in frustration, "We've lost contact. That was our last option."
"At least we got through to somebody. If our luck holds out, the boys will find…" Nicole says.
Suddenly, Sonic speaks through the speaker, "Yo, Nicole! Sonic here!"
Sonic and Tails are in the Chaos Chamber to see the Master Emerald.
Nicole answers, "I copy. Did you find Knuckles or the girls?"
"No, the dork isn't here! What's more Eve and the girls aren't here either! There's just no way of keeping that hedgehog out of trouble. She's almost like me in a way. Then again, I should have known better. We're going to head to Echindaopolis. See if any of the villagers know anything."
"Understood. We're almost out of time," Nicole says.
"I know. I know! We'd be gone already if Mr. Paranoid hadn't hidden this place so well…" Sonic says.
Sonic and Tails leave the Chaos Chamber and are unaware that Finitevus has remained hidden until they leave the area. Outside in the forest, Sonic and Tails begin to head to Echindaopolis.
Tails asks, "What if Knuckles' family hasn't seen him? Won't they be upset?"
"Knuckles came back hours ago. I know he would've stopped in at least one. They must have seen him recently," Sonic says.
Back in Echidnaopolis, the Echidnas are already being cornered by Enerjak.
Lara-Le says, frightened, "Oh aurora, no… not again…"
Enerjak announces, "Do not fear the return of Enerjak. I've come to end the years of pain and strife. The technology you once clung to has been taken from you. You have been the prey… of the Dingo Regime. But no more!"
Sonic and Tails speed to Echindaopolis as fast as they can.
However, Enerjak surrounds all the Echidnas with his power and says, "Do not struggle. My people. I will set everything right once I return you all to Albion!"
Sonic and Tails are able to reach the outskirts of Echindapolis, but Enerjak already has them and causes them to be teleported to Albion.
Sonic screams, "No!"
Enerjak then says, "Now… with Angel Island stabilized. It's time I took care of matters aboard. I must have the hedgehog with the Master Emerald Sword and have her join our cause. But first…"
He then levitates Nicole's probe to him, "I must see to those who think it wise to spy on me. I'm very disappointed with you. You should have known better."
He then clutches his hand causing the probe to be crushed.
That causes pain to Nicole making her scream.
Sally and the others panic, "Nicole!"
"He's coming!" Nicole panics.
Back in the village Sonic tries to spin dash Enerjak, but disappears before he can strike.
"Oh, come on! Don't teleport now!" Sonic complains.
Sonic and Tails see that Enerjak and the Echidnas are gone.
"Sonic… I don't see anybody left," Tails says.
"Yeah, we were too late after all. I hate looking slow…" Sonic says, annoyed.
Suddenly, Nicole reports, "Sonic! Tails! Enerjak is just outside the city gates! Get back here!"
"On our way, Nicole!" Sonic calls out.
Sonic then picks up Tails and speeds off, "Sorry, buddy, but we need to get there as fast as possible!"
Sonic super speed across the forest as fast as mach 100 or something makes the speed the light. In no time at all, they reach the Tornado.
Tails asks, "What about Knuckles, Eve, and the others? We never found them!"
"Knux is the toughest guy we know. He'll just have to catch up or miss out on the fun. Eve and the girls are the same," Sonic says, climbing on the plane.
"But we never actually fought Enerjak before. Eve actually has faced him and the one she faced was her great great grandfather. Do you think we'll stand a chance?" Tails replies.
"An omnipotent demigod of Chaos Energy? We'll be done by dinner!" Sonic says.
Soon, Sonic and Tails fly off in the Tornado to see Angel Island is floating over New Mobotropolis. In the city, Sally is rounding up the Freedom Fighters, Chaotix, and the Royal SErvice.
Sally commands, "Freedom Fighters, Royal Service and Chaotix to the front! Royal Guard, secure the King and Queen! Everyone else take shelter!"
All the Fighters gather at the front to see if they can stop Enerjak. The Chaotix notices the depressed look Julie-Su has as tears fall down her face.
Mighty asks, "Um… Julie-Su? You okay?"
"No, Mighty. I'm not. Sonic and Tails never found Knuckles or the girls. Enerjak finished with Angel Island. You know what that means. They're gone," Julie-Su answers, showing sadness, bitterness, and broken hearted.
"Stay calm, everyone. The City's force field held off Eggman's fleet before. I just hope it will hold until Sonic and Tails are back," Nicole says.
Just then, Enerjak is able to lift part of the force field up like it's a lid, and floats inside.
Enerjak levitates himself on the ground as he says, "I come with no intent to harm any of you. I've come to make things right.
The Freedom Fighters, Chaotix, and Royal Service stand their guard.
Sally says, "We've seen all the 'good' you brought to Angel Island. If you don't want this to turn violent, then leave now!"
"It's too late for that," Julie-Su angrily says.
She then holds her blaster at Enerjak and confronts him, "I'll never forgive you for what you did to Knuckles! I don't care what you do to me, but I'll make you pay for destroying him!"
Enerjak smirks and uses his powers to take the blaster away from her.
He then says, "Destroy? Do to you?"
He then removes his helmet and says, "I would never hurt you…"
Then fully removes it to reveal his true face, "My love!"
Julie-Su gasps as she places her hands over her mouth. At the same time, all of the Freedom Fighters, Chaotix, and Royal Service are stunned to see who Enerjak really is… Knuckles.
He then says, "And I can't very well, destroy myself!"
