Hey, look what keeps coming back! 's still being a little shit, but there is one kind of work-around for it not showing newest chapters updated beyond the alert email. The solution?

Just post two chapters, then people can see the 'not-newest' chapter. God I hope they fix it soon. But because I am a fair and gracious GodDMMadman Author, I will simply be pumping out two chapters of whatever story I'm working on in the meanwhile to be released in short bursts. They'd better fucking fixed that soon though.

Anywho, story time filled with magical shenanigan's, the majority of which are just beginning.

Chapter 5: Bold Beginnings Part 5

Jack would have liked to describe being moved through a place both utterly void of color while still being awash with feelings beyond comprehension, but instead, beyond the searing flash of gold and the odd pulling sensation that lasted for about ten seconds, there was really nothing much to it. Barely any actual movement, just *poof*, all of reality was a lie. Which was admittedly trippy in its own right, for many reasons, but most of Jack's attention was focused on more...pressing, concerns.

Namely, who, in the span of 3 to five second, CHANGED HIM INTO A GOD-DAMN LEOTARD AND ICESKATES!?

Granted, they were very NICE, examples of both, but that just made it kind of worse. The shirt covered his chest and arms closely, before flaring out at the bottom in a wavy, almost kilt-esce fashion, all in various shades of black with red and purple highlights, leading into pure bronze looking skates. It fit like a dream, would have cost a fortune to have custom-made, and was making Jack all kinds of twitchy because, as he'd like to hammer in again, he wasn't wearing these a few seconds ago.

While he felt around for a zipper, or the mysterious grabby hands that had changed him though, even this was set aside by the sight of Ki going through what looked like the exact same reaction he had been, which was...a sight to behold for many reasons.

Ki had in fact been changed as well, and keeping in with the apparent transformation Jack had, Ki's was certainly dramatic. Similar to the robe and tights she had been wearing before, now there was a tight, almost swimsuit-esce suit with a suede overcoat around her shoulders, resting like a cape and looking utterly adorable, even as she alternated between harshly bending around looking for a zipper and shooting death glares where her friends were suddenly located, in a sort of see through 'box', above them. Oh, hey, there they were, most looking just as awed as Jack'd probably be if he wasn't suddenly stripped.

Then Dojo started talking like he had a megaphone to his face, drawing everyone's attention to the wizard-lizard.

"Alright guys and gal! Welcome to the main way a Shen Gong Wu decided who it goes with! A Xiaolin Showdown! Normally you'd both be wagering Wu of your own to help supplement the magic this is using, but that's obviously not always possible! This is where that little shout of 'Anything Goes!' comes in! Thanks to those two little words, the only thing at stake is the singular Wu to be won! On the other hand though, this means it's all on both of you to pull off your best and reach that goal! Which in this case...seems to be impressing the judges with your skating? These don't usually get this technical so early..." Dojo spoke confidently before trailing off to the side, using Texan's hand to point off to the side, making Jack and Ki turn their heads to see some figures they probably should have noticed a fair bit ago.

They were pretty distinct.

Sitting at a table that hopefully wasn't there this entire time, were three figures of what looked like pure light held together by swanky suits and dresses, and pairs of spectacles being the only thing to allow them to maintain a headshape. They essentially looked like photo-flashed judges and it was hella intimidating for reasons beyond the innate inhumanity.

It also seemed like Ki looked down for the first time and realized she was on skates, and something that seemed like ice but looked more like liquid with how it rippled, because she wasted no time squawking in panic before falling to her knees. Jack winced at the sight, but she recovered a bit before he could even think to swoop over and help.

The two spent a moment just looking at each other, embaressment threatening to shine through, but, after a moment, both nodded and decided to get this over with.

"Uhh, so, how do we start this thing? Do we just go, or..." Until Jack voiced out a reasonably question regarding the rules to a magic fueled competition.

They couldn't see it, but they could definitely hear the smile in Dojo's voice.

"You just keep asking the right questions, Kid. Say the words 'Gong Yi Tenpai' and everything'll begin."

Jack gulped as the words felt like they were etched into his brain for a second, before visibly bolstering himself up.

In sync with Ki in a way they had not at all practiced, they both shouted the new word.

""GONG YI TENPAI!""

The world flashed again, but that was simply from the spotlights suddenly on their forms, Ki miles away in an instant, and the judges practically covering the sky with massive, towering forms.

The battle had begun.
