The Solaris Saga Episode 1: Trip to Soleanna
Sometime Ago:
In the strange abandoned building in Soleanna, Mephiles has finished with all the preparations that are needed. He has an evil plan and knows that he needs two more things, a pair of souls and a vessel to contain Iblis. Mephiles looks at the table to see a Purple Chaos Emerald and a Cyan Blue Chaos Emerald. Next to it are two photos, one of them is of Sonic and the other is Eve.
He grabs the photos and the emeralds and is ready to follow the next phase of his plan.
"Now then. It has been some time since I used my new powers to travel in time, but… I know exactly where I need to go." Mephiles says.
He holds the emeralds in the air and shouts, "Chaos Control!"
With that, both of the emeralds glow and then a portal appears in front of Mephiles.
He looks satisfied and says, "Excellent! Now that I know a specific location where I need to go, I'll be able to get what I need."
He then holds out the photos of Sonic and Eve as he says, "Now, I just need to find a way to acquire these two souls. I had a run in with the girl before… Eve."
Mephiles remembers Eve and her face. Sometime ago, Eve has to help Shadow and his team stop Dr. Eggman from taking the object known as the Scepter of Darkness. However, thanks to Eggman, the scepter shatters and Mephiles is set free.
Mephiles holds the photo of Eve and says, "I said I'll be back for you since our last encounter, and I will. You will be perfect for my master plan."
Mephiles then walks through the portal that the Chaos Emeralds created and soon closes behind him.
Present Day:
In New Mobotropolis, the two hedgehog heroes Sonic and Eve are going to take a relaxing vacation with the rest of the Freedom Fighters. Because of their battles with Dr. Eggman, they can use a break. After having their things ready, the gang is taking the Blue Typhoon for their trip, and make sure the Van, the X Tornado, and the Tornado are in the launch base.
Sonic walks to the deck with his suitcase, "I think it's a great time to have a vacation. After fighting Eggman, we could use one."
"That may be true Sonic, but Dr. Eggman is still out there and can cause trouble at any time," Sally says, walking over with her suitcase.
"Come on Sal, don't be such a worry wart. It's nice to get some fun after what we've been through," Sonic says.
"That's true, it will be nice that the Freedom Fighters get to have a vacation. I plan on working on my gadgets during this trip," Tails says.
"Or having a date with Cosmo," Sonic says with a smirk.
Sally giggles as Tails begins to blush.
Eve, Sonia, Manic, and Bunnie put their things in their room. Sonia places her few bags down and is looking tired.
Sonia sighs, "I hope I didn't forget anything."
"Sis, I think it's possible you packed your entire room. Next thing, you'll back up the actual room," Manic says, from his room.
Sonia crosses her arms with a stern expression, "Very funny."
"Come on guys, I think having a vacation is what we need. I'm actually happy that I'm going to Soleanna again. If the festival will be coming up around this time, then you guys can see it, Eve says as she tucks little Shun to bed to have his nap.
"That's true sugar, but you got to see the festival with your date. A certain Babylon Rogue leader," Bunnie says.
Eve begins to blush a little, "I suppose that's true. Jet and I had a great time there. I wish you all could have seen the ceremony. It was amazing, and I saw the princess there as well."
"I think it's sweet," Cosmo says, walking into the room.
"Hey Cosmo, are you ready for our trip?" Eve asks.
"Yes. Galaxina and I can't wait to go to Soleanna. It's going to be a lot of fun," Cosmo says.
"It sure will," Eve says.
Jazz flies over with a small bag and happily says, "Chao Chao."
"I agree with Jazz on this one. It's nice to have a relaxing break after dealing with Eggman," Fiona says as she and Nic walk into the room.
"I have to agree. It's nice to have a break," Nic says.
"Yeah. We're going to have a lot of fun during this trip, and best of all… we won't have to do any saving the day or battling evil and such," Eve says.
"You can say that again," The girls reply.
In the control area of the bridge, Rotor and Nicole are checking the maintenance of the engine, the security, and their brand new engine.
Rotor types on the computer as he says, "Everything is all checked out and the brand new engine I installed is working perfectly."
"Yes. The engine is fully ready. Once everyone is aboard, we can get going," Nicole says.
Amy, Cream, and Cheese walk into the bridge with a few baskets. They plan to have a picnic on their voyage.
"It's a great idea to have a picnic, right Cream?" Amy replies.
"Yes. I think it will be nice to look at the bright sky as we travel over the sea," Cream says.
"Chao Chao," Cheese happily says.
Sonic, Eve, Tails, and Sally walk in to see the girls.
"Hey guys," Eve says.
"Hi Sonic. Hi Eve," Amy says.
"Hello Tails, and Princess Sally," Cream says.
Sally giggles, "It's okay Cream, we're friends there's no need to be so formal."
"Are you excited for our trip?" Sonic asks.
"We sure are. I can't wait to go to Soleanna. We're going to have a lot of fun," Amy says.
"We're all ready to go, right Cheese?" Cream says.
Cheese happily says, "Chao Chao."
Bunnie walks into the bridge and says, "Alright, everyone is all packed and we're ready to go."
"Alright!" Amy cheers.
"Then let's get this vacation started!" Sonic says, raising his first in the air.
After having all their gear ready, the Freedom Fighters at the bridge of the ship while Tails, Sally, Sonia, Nic, and Rotor are at the controls.
Tails says, "Alright Blue Typhoon, here we go!"
Tails uses the main controls to fly the Blue Typhoon into the air and is starting to fly over the sea. Eve, Maria, Amy, Cream, Cheese, and Jazz look out the window to see the view. They can see the ocean blue from above and it's sparkles like diamonds. They see a few dolphins jumping in the air. Eve turns to see Maria extra excited and she knows why. Maria has already dreamed of seeing what Mobius has to offer. Eve is happy to see Maria happy because she is able to see Mobius' wonders up close.
Sometime later, everyone is having lunch on the bridge. Cosmo and the others pass lunch to Tails and the others who are at the controls. Eve is also feeding some baby food while Cosmo watches them.
"These are yummy sandwiches," Amy says.
Fiona turns to Eve and asks, "So why isn't your other brother and the others joining us?"
"Shadow and the others are on a G.U.N assignment so they're too busy to come," Eve says.
"Aww, your brother overworks himself. He needs to relax," Sonic says.
"Well maybe he just couldn't find some time. I think Shadow might also need some time to let off some steam considering what happened with Mogul," Eve says.
"Don't remind me," Sonic replies.
"We all could use a break after that happened," Sally says.
"I agree Sally girl. We all could use a break after that fiasco," Tails says.
Amy then says, "Forget it, let's focus on getting to Soleanna."
"Yeah. We're going to have a lot of fun," Eve says.
Tails types on the control panels, "Yeah. We'll be at Soleanna in no time."
"Well it's about time. I was getting bored in just sitting around," Sonic says, and eats a chilli dog.
"I agree. It's nice to finally have a fun vacation without anything going wrong," Eve says.
"I agree. Things are actually running smoothly. No robots. No Dr. Eggman. No other bad guys. No giant monsters. For now, our vacation is going to stay a vacation," Sonic says.
The Blue Typhoon continues to travel over the ocean and the City of Soleanna is soon in their sights. They plan to have an exciting vacation without having to worry about something going wrong.
Future: 200 Years
Meanwhile, somewhere in a devastating town that is full of buildings that are torn apart and burned with ashes. The air is covered in dark smoke and dark clouds and no hope for any sunlight. Flying over the city, is a light gray hedgehog with white fur on the chest surrounding his neck with gold color eyes and tan skin. He has large spines on the back of his head and multiple distinct spines on the front of his head. He wears white gloves with cyan circles with lines sticking out of the bottom with two gold bracelets. The top of the shoes are the same designs as the gloves, and the rest are navy blue, white and cyan color.
He looks around to see the world has been completely destroyed. He soon sees the flames rise up, but uses some psychic abilities to prevent the flames.
Suddenly, he hears someone calling out, "Silver."
The hedgehog turns his head to see the purple feline princess, Blaze the Cat. A friend that Eve knows. The hedgehog lands on the ground and walks towards Blaze.
"Hey Blaze, you doing okay?" The hedgehog, Silver asks.
"Yes. I think we're able to stop the flames for now," Blaze says.
"But they'll just rise up along with that monster from the ashes," Silver says.
Soon he becomes frustrated and slams his fist to the wall, "What's the point of all this it'll never end!"
"Calm down, Silver," Blaze says.
"Then tell me what we should do. How can we completely destroy Iblis?" Silver asks.
Blaze turns away with her arms crossed as she doesn't know the answer either.
Suddenly, someone says, "By knowing the truth, of course."
The two hear the voice and turn their heads to see someone on top of the debris.
The being says, "Just as a flower comes from a seed, everything has an origin. You need to find the being originally responsible for this catastrophe."
"Is that the answer to our problem?" Silver questions.
Then asks, "Tell me, do you know who it is?"
The being looks down on the silver hedgehog and the being is revealed to be Mephelis. He looks at Silver to see that he wants to know the answer, and he plans on giving it to him.
Present Day:
Meanwhile, Sonic, Eve and the others arrive just outside the city on the Blue Typhoon. The Typhoon is on the ground in the woods and is well protected from any intruders.
Sonic stretches his legs as he says, "That was a long trip, but it will be well worth it if we can have a vacation."
"I agree. So what should we do first? How about we go walk around the beach?" Amy suggests.
"Or we can go explore the city," Cream replies.
Fiona says, "I'm up for a little sightseeing."
"Me too. I heard great things about Soleanna. I heard that it's known as the City of Water," Nic says.
"Why is it called that?" Cosmo asks.
"Well Soleanna is mostly inhabited by humans and they called it the City of the Water because the streets are covered in water and they use boats instead of cars and other vehicles. There are roads for us to walk around, but if we want to get to other places, we will need to take boats called Gondolas," Sally says.
"That sounds like fun," Cosmo happily says
Sonic then groans, "You can forget trying to get me into another boat."
"Don't worry Sonic, you and I don't need a boat to get around," Eve says.
"That's true. We can just use our speed," Sonic says.
"And you forget the rest of us can't," Sally says, rolling her eyes.
Maria giggles and says, "It sounds like so much fun. Can we go now?"
Eve then places Shun in the baby carriage and Jazz sits next to him.
"We're going. And Maria, remember to stay close so you won't get lost," Eve says.
Maria happily nods her head, "Okay."
"Cream, Cheese, Cosmo, that goes the same for you three as well," Galaxina says.
"Yes Galaxina," Cosmo says.
"Okay then. Let's go have some fun," Tails says.
Everyone agrees to the idea. Once they agree, they head off to Soleanna to have some fun. They soon walk around the streets of the city to see so many different buildings that are either houses, stores, or food places. They soon come across a shopping district with restaurants, stores, and other places to do some shopping.
"Wow! This place has a lot of stores. It's a great place for bargain hunting, so I'm going to shop until I drop," Amy says.
"Try not to go do too much bargain hunting," Nic says.
Fiona, Nic, and Bunnie see a lot of clothes, jewelry, shoes, and other kinds of clothes.
"Window shopping sure has some perks," Fiona says.
Eve turns to Jazz, "Jazz, what would you like?"
"Chao," Jazz happily replies.
Baby Shun looks around with curiosity to see the area. What's more, he is seeing human beings for the first time. He continues to make noises as if he's trying to talk and moves around as he tries to reach something with his arms.
Manic looks to see Shun and chuckles, "Looks like the little guy is a curious one."
"He sure is, but you do need to remember that he is still a baby," Eve says.
Sonia says, "Well, I'm hoping to buy some nice outfits while we're here. And maybe we can get Shun a toy as well."
Manic reaches his hand out to Shun and the baby spider grabs his fingers.
Manic smiles and says, "I'm sure you can have a brand new toy. I think his own drum set will do good."
"Manic, Shun is too little to play with an instrument," Sonia says.
"Besides, with so many hands, he can play a drum set and a guitar," Sonic remarks.
"Very funny," Eve says, rolling her eyes.
Maria looks around and is amazed to see so many different people around. There are also some Mobians walking around besides themselves. Maria then turns her head and becomes surprised to see something. She then leaves the other with curiosity.
Galaxina turns her head to see Maria heading off, "Wait Maria, don't travel too far away."
"What's that?" Cosmo asks, noticing something.
Cosmo then follows Maria, Cream, Cheese, and Amy do the same.
Eve turns her head to notice the others leaving, "Hey guys, where are you going?"
Eve and the others follow the group that runs off. Maria, Cream and Cheese, and Cosmo stop at the edge that has a fence to notice a boat sailing on the river road. Inside the boat are a few people rowing the boat, a few female maids, and a young woman with short brown hair, blue eyes, and wears a nice white dress and outfit with some feathers. The girls are amazed to see the young woman waving as the citizens wave back and cheer for her.
"Wow! She's really pretty," Cream says.
"She's very beautiful," Maria says.
"I wonder who she is," Cosmo says.
Eve meets the others and says, "That's Princess Elise the Third of Soleanna."
"Really? She's a real princess?" Cream asks, amazed.
"Yes. I remember seeing her when I was with Jet. That was when he took me to see the Festival of the Sun," Eve says.
"What's the Festival of the Sun?" Maria asks.
"The Festival of the Sun is a big celebration for the citizens of Soleanna to give their thanks to the Sun by honoring their Sun God, Solaris. When Jet and I went, there was a big festival and later in the night, Princess Elise rode on a boat with dancers and her attendants. When they reached the center of town, she prayed to the god and lit up the Altar of Light with the flame and Fireworks flew into the sky," Eve says.
The group is amazed to hear this.
"That sounds really amazing," Cream says.
"Chao," Cheese adds.
"I wish we could have gone," Amy adds.
"Maybe we can go there next year," Cosmo says.
"I don't see why not. It sounds fun," Galaxina says.
"I agree," Cream happily says.
"Chao Chao," Cheese replies.
"Chao," Jazz happily says.
Sonic's stomach begins to growl and says, "Come on, I like to get some dinner or something."
"Oh Sonic," Eve says.
Then everyone begins laughing with smiles on their faces.
Meanwhile in the future, Mephiles has taken Blaze and Silver to an old database. The hedgehog and feline look around so see the place looks like it hasn't been used in a long time.
"To fix this present timeline, you need to change the past," Mephiles says.
"But, that's impossible," Silver says, disbelief.
"With my help, you can, because I have the power to travel through time!" Mephiles says.
Silver says in surprise, "No way!"
"In order to change the past, you must eliminate two individuals who have awakened Iblis. The Iblis Trigger," Mephiles says.
Silver and Blaze begin to think and ponder about the idea of eliminating someone from the past.
Silver then asks, "If I eliminate that guy, will our world be saved?"
Mephiles nods his head and says, "The Day of Disaster... Here are my records of this event. This was when Iblis was freed and his flames were released into the world."
Mephiles turns on the computer that shows Soleanna and other kinds of articles and information.
"And you have these two people to blame," Mephiles says and takes out the purple Chaos Emerald.
He then uses it to show Silver who takes it and gazes upon it. The vision shows Sonic and Eve along with them being surrounded by flames.
Silver quickly says, "I see it! So, that blue hedgehog and Black hedgehog are the Iblis Triggers?
Blaze gazes at the emerald and calmly says, "Blue and black hedgehog...
Then Silver gives Mephiles the emerald.
"I'll send us back in time to the point when the Iblis Triggers were alive. However, you must separate them and take care of the blue hedgehog first, while I worry about the black hedgehog," Mephiles says.
He then uses the Power of the Chaos Emerald and his own ability to engulf himself, Blaze, and Silver to send them back in time. Mephiles' plan is just beginning and whatever the plan is, he wants Silver to get rid of Sonic and Eve for some kind of purpose.
