Chapter 3

.

October 28th was a Wednesday, a school day. Some parents had already heard about what happenned to Mary, and were a little hesitant to send their kids to school. But since nobody had been killed, most sent them to school like any other day. At lunchtime at the local highschool most students were talking about it. One group in particular, where everyone seemed to have their own theory. This group included Greg, Amanda, Amy, and Kalil. Amy has a noticeable scar on her cheek.

.

Greg: Way I see it, it was a lesbian lover's quarrel. That goth girl, Christina, she had the hots for Mary, didn't like how she was into Jill, so she scares her.

Kalil: Maybe it was just some homophobe.

Amanda: Or she just faked it for attention. Like that guy from the Olympic bombing in Atlanta. What was his name?

Amy: It was Richard Jewell, and he was innocent. The media just needed a scapegoat because the FBI didn't know who the real bomber was.

Amanda: I still say he did it for attention.

Kalil: I heard that sheriff Riley called in his old friend, Sydney Prescott, to help.

Greg: Even though noone's dead yet?

Amy: Guess he doesn't want to take stupid chances. I read her book, it was pretty good.

Greg: I heard she's a drug-addict.

Amy: Well she had to deal with PTSD, I guess she self-medicated. Can't say I blame her.

Amanda: Guess you'd know.

.

Amanda said this with deliberate cruelty, Greg started laughing at Amy's scar. Amy started to walk away, Kalil followed her to make sure she was okay.

.

Kalil: You okay?

Amy: I'll be fine. You think I'd be used to their teasing.

Kalil: It's not cool to make fun of that kind of trauma.

Amy: It's really not. What that man did to me in Chicago, I live with it every day. Sydney Prescott's book, it probably saved my life.

Kalil: She's in town now, maybe you can meet her.

Amy: I doubt she'd want to see me, she'd probably think I was a stalker or something.

Kalil: But you've been through similar hell together, let her know she's done some good.

Amy: Yeah, maybe.
