A Very Morgan Christmas-Ch 5
When Derek and Penelope walked through the front door at casa Rossi the adults were up drinking coffee and enjoying some fresh donuts that Fran had made. Penelope looked around and said, "where are the boys, I figured they would have been up by now".
JJ smiled and said, "nope they're still sleeping but don't worry they'll be awake soon and then it's onnnnn", Emily looked at the newlyweds and said, "I'm surprised that the two of you are up this early". Derek said, "we never went to sleep".
Sarah grinned and said, "so the two of you were too busy knocking boots to sleep, am I right"?, Fran said, "Sarah Denise Morgan" and Sarah laughed and said, "well am I wrong baby brother"?, Derek wrapped his arms around his wife and said, "you are 100% correct big sister".
Penelope blushed and buried her head in Dereks chest and Fran said, "don't pay any attention to those two heathens Penelope" as she pulled her away from her son and over to the couch to sit with her. Derek said, "heyyyyyyyy, why are you taking her away, I thought you wanted those beautiful grandbabies".
Reid laughed and said, "she does want them but we don't want to watch as they are created", Hotch laughed and said, "Reid does have a point". Derek opened his mouth to say something but that stopped when the boys they had been waiting on came running down the stairs yelling that Santa had come".
Everybody gathered around in the living room as Dave started handing out the presents, Derek plopped down beside his wife and leaned in and kissed her lips gently and whispered, "Merry Christmas Mrs. Morgan", she smiled at him and said, "Merry Christmas Mr. Morgan" as she laid her head down on his shoulder.
Almost 2 hours later all of the gifts were unwrapped and the mess was cleaned up, Penelope looked over her shoulder to see Jack and Henry playing together with the trucks they got from Santa. She stood up and walked into the kitchen to join the others.
Derek smiled as he glanced over at her, he still couldn't believe that he had married her, that he had married his baby girl, she was finally, finally his. Fran looked at her daughter-in-law and said, "how are you doing honey, was Santa good to you this year"?, Penelope said, "oh yes, he gave me the best gift in the world, my handsome, handsome husband".
Desi leaned in and whispered, "thank you", Penelope said, "forrrrrrr"? and Desi said, "for loving my brother", Penelope said, "your brother is an amazing man and I love him more and more with each passing day", Desi hugged her and said, "he loves you just as much" causing the two women to smile as they then started carrying the plates, glasses and silverware out to start setting the table.
It wasn't long before everybody was gathered around the dining room tables, Fran said, "since Derek and Penelope got married at midnight last night we didn't get to have a good reception, I don't count sandwiches, champagne and cake a reception, sooooooooo we are counting our family Christmas dinner as your real reception"
Derek intertwined fingers with his bride as Fran said, "welcome to the family Penelope, we are all honored to have you", Penelope grinned and said, "thank you so much, i love you all so much", Dave said, "and we all love you too kitten".
For the next 90 minutes or so the family laughed, ate and talked as they celebrated the holiday together, the first holiday for Derek and Penelope as a married couple. After enjoying a delicious meal Derek pulled his bride into his arms and whispered, "care to dance"?, she said, "uhhhhh hotstuff their is no music".
Derek kissed her lips and said, "we don't need music, all we need is each other", Penelope smiled and said, "in that case handsome, I'd love to dance with you". Everybody stood by smiling at the happy couple as they danced their way across the living room".
Reid leaned in to JJ and said, "don't they know they don't have any music"?, Emily laughed and said, "yeah Reid I think they realized that but look at them it doesn't matter to them that their is no music, the only thing that matters to them is that they have each other".
Seconds later the other couples found themselves dancing with the happy couple as the celebrating continued
