From Earth to Star Wars, Part Two

Disclaimer: All characters except for Meagan, Sasha and a few minor other characters, belong to George Lucas, and we are not receiving any profit off this work of fiction.

AN: Hello, everyone! This chapter is a bit of a mix of Sasha still adjusting to Ahsoka and "introducing" a character from the Clone Wars tv show. We hope you enjoy what we do include of the Mandalore sequence. We couldn't help ourselves but to bring it in with a twist, even if the timing isn't right and it is shortened to fit into one chapter. We also see more of Sasha than before! This is a little longer but thought ya'll will like it. Thanks again to all our faithful readers, we have always appreciated you! Have a blessed weekend.

Chapter Eighty Eight

Meagan's point of view

"Arrgh." I heard Ahsoka's frustration as she and Sasha were working on their homework at the dining room table. Several weeks ago, this would have never happened but the two could be in the same room without Sasha throwing a tantrum. Granted Anakin, as well as Obi-Wan were off planet, which might have been a contributing factor.

"I still don't see why I couldn't have gone with him." Ahsoka grumbled as I sat next to her. Sasha briefly looked up from her letters and numbers before turning back to them.

"Your studies and tests are important, Anakin wants you to do well."

She snorted. "I would learn more with him than here."

I thought for a moment before speaking. "Ahsoka, the war won't last for forever and the Jedi will return to being peacekeepers. What you are studying now, will aide you in those types of missions."

The young Jedi just stared at me. "Somehow I am not sure how the blasé tree goat or fenner's rocks will ever help me."

I had to stifle a laugh as she was probably right, at least about the two animals, but certainly couldn't let her see it. "I know it seems that way." I said before changing the conversation, wanting to distract her and they had been studying for a while. "Why don't we take a break? Are you two hungry?"

They both agreed and the three of us spent some time together. Amazingly enough.

The peace was somewhat short lived as when Anakin returned, Sasha became a bit possessive. Then when he and Ahsoka were going over her studies and not with her, I had to remind Sasha to be nice. I was a little relieved when Anakin and Ahsoka were sent on a mission together about the time Obi-Wan returned.

"I see the Temple is still standing." Obi-Wan joked as I updated him to the events of late.

"Yes." I agreed with him before adding. "Sasha is okay with her, especially if Anakin is not around."

Obi-Wan shook his head. "She is overall doing better right?"

"For the most part." I propped my head on my elbow, turning to gaze at my husband. "How long are you here for?"

"I am not sure." He sighed before pulling me against him. "There are many battles and places I could be sent to."

That thought was not very comforting but true to the life we were forced into due to the war. We talked a little more about things until he gently kissed me goodnight and we soon feel asleep in each other's arms, never knowing when we would be away from each other.

A few days later I was working on a presentation I was going to make to get more funds for the relief efforts when Obi-Wan found me. My stomach nearly dropped at the look on his face. He was leaving.

"Where are you going?" I asked as we stepped into a small meditation room for privacy.

"Mandalore." He pushed a few curls away from my face as he spoke quietly. "The planet has taken a neutral stance but recently their leader, a duchess, has been accused of aiding the Separatists. We heard rumors of some sort of minor incidents. I am going there to determine the truth of the events."

"You think Dooku is behind this?" I asked stepping closer to him.

"At this point, I am not sure." He pulled me into his arms, kissing me sweetly. "Hopefully I will return soon but it could take longer than anticipated."

Even in non war times, missions could turn out with completely unexpected results or take longer than originally planned. I reached up, tracing a pattern on his cheek. "Be safe."

He smiled slightly. "I always am." With that no words were spoken for several long minutes before Obi-Wan escorted me back and soon took his leave.

The next several days passed by quickly. Anakin and Ahsoka returned, their mission apparently was Anakin's usual version of success. Also, the raising of relief efforts was going well. I was able to make contact with people, who where more than willing to help the innocents in ways they could. One morning, Jema and I met with a Senate committee and after it was over, she had other duties to attend, so I decided to see if Padme was in her office. I hoped she was there as I thought to update her on the latest, as she always wanted to know about the relief efforts and helped anyway she could. Once I arrived, catching her assistant in the outer office, I asked. "Is the Senator here?"

Dorme smiled as she looked up from her terminal. "You may go in my lady, she will be pleased to see you."

"Thank you." Smiling in return, I turned and entered the inner office.

Padme stood by the window, talking with another woman, who looked like another Senator. As the door slid shut behind me, they both turned.

"I'm sorry Senator, but your assistant did not say you had company."

"That's alight." Padme only smiled, but I felt the other women's scrutiny. "I guess introductions are in order."

"I do not believe it is necessary. " The taller blond stepped towards me. "Obi-Wan talked about you."

I blinked in surprise. I had no idea who this woman was and yet she called him by his first name. There were very few, only in relaxed company, referred to my husband without his titles. "I am afraid my lady, you have me at a loss. "

She came forward, her stance of confidence spoke that she was a great leader. "I am Satine Kryze, Duchess of Mandalore."

Obi-Wan briefed me about his mission but neglected to tell me they were already acquainted with one another. "It is a pleasure to meet you Duchess, despite the circumstances."

"Yes, I am hoping to have them resolved presently." She inclined her head towards Padme. "Thank you for your assistance Senator. I will see you at the session tonight."

"I will be there." I watched as the Duchess left the room. Then Padme spoke. "You didn't know Obi-Wan was helping her?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "He told me he was investigating a claim that some of the neutral systems were supporting the Separatists." I paused for a long moment, wondering why he didn't tell me more. "He never mentioned that he knew her. He only returned yesterday."

I could tell Padme was a bit surprised but didn't question it as we went on to discuss relief efforts and the results of the committee meeting. Though the Duchess was never far from my mind, but it was not until later that night, after Sasha was in bed, I was able to ask Obi-Wan about it.

"I met an old friend of yours today."

He didn't look up from what he was working on, asking rather absent mindedly. "Who was that?"

"Duchess Satine Kryze." His head jerked up. "I met her in Padme's office."

"Yes, she is here to plead her neutral stance with the Senate. I believe I told you I was going to Mandalore."

"Yes, you did, but neglected to mention you knew her before." I hoped my tone didn't make him think I was accusing him of something but I really wanted to know.

He set down his data pad. "I guess I did forget."

"I think I would remember you mentioning her."

Obi-Wan got up and came to sit next to me. "Qui-Gon and I were on an extensive mission to her planet when there was a civil war." He paused before sighing. "We lived hand to mouth, not sure if we would live from one day to the next. Once the planet was peaceful again, we were recalled back the Temple and she to the rebuilding of her people."

"When was this?" I asked, not remembering either Jedi mentioning this mission.

"About six months after you went back to Earth for the first time."

I let that sink in for a moment before venturing quietly. "What happened between you?"

He was quiet for long moments before speaking. "We became close, obviously one cannot be to survive what we did. We were friends, but at times it felt like something more, yet it was not quite like we had fallen in love." He paused for some long moments, I didn't speak knowing he needed time to gather his thoughts together. "I am not sure if I was unconsciously transferring some of the feelings I hadn't repressed for you to her. Or maybe I was trying to have feelings for her to help me get over you, even if I didn't realize I was doing it."

I sat quietly for a moment or two before asking. "How did she feel about you?"

Obi-Wan gave it some thought before answering. "I think she did have some feelings for me, similar to mine, something in between without being one or the other."

It was a bit of relief knowing she, at least to his knowledge, was not deeply in love with him. Though I realized I really wanted to know something. "Were you two intimate?"

"No." I knew he was telling the truth. "We shared a few kisses but nothing more."

"What will happen to her?"

He startled for a moment at my change of subject but answered. "Satine is trying to persuade the Senate not to have Republic troops take over Mandalore with the uprising of Death Watch." He went on to tell me of what happened since he left for Mandalore as we had not time to do so.

"What can we do to help the Duchess?" I asked.

"I am not sure, it is in the hands of the Senate." Obi-Wan rose before picking up his data pad, his brows furrowing together.

"If she needs help, go." I could tell something had happened, something that upset him.

He nodded as he quickly got ready before turning back to me. "Do not wait up, I may be late." He leaned down and kissed me thoroughly leaving me no doubt were his current feelings laid.

"Very well." I spoke a bit breathlessly from his kiss.

He kissed me again, briefly, before leaving.

Obi-Wan did come home late but in the morning he told me the Senate was going to send troops to Mandalore with Satine still fighting it. He said her so called accident apparently convinced the Senate intervention was necessary. He was going to try to help her find the real recording that may convince the Senate to change the vote.

During the day, we went about our separate duties. About halfway through the day, we received word some of the relief centers on planets near Coruscant were being nearly overrun. Gathering some things together, I prepared to leave planet. I stopped by to say goodbye to Sasha and sent a message to Obi-Wan telling him I was leaving, hopefully returning in a few days. I sighed as I gazed out the window of the ship, under Cody's command, wanting more than anything for this war to end.

Sasha's Point of View

I was sad to see mummy leave but knew she was helping people, so that made it better. Later, Daddy came and picked me up. We ate dinner in the cafeteria with Uncle Anakin and Ahsoka. Daddy even let me have a cookie, I think cause I was nice to Ahsoka or maybe since I ate all my green vegetables.

We returned to our quarters and I colored while Daddy worked, until he looked up. "Sasha it's getting close to your bedtime, go wash your face and brush your teeth."

"Do I have to?" I asked. "I like coloring."

"I know you do, but you also need your sleep. Off you go."

I slowly set down my crayon before putting them in their box one by one. I inched along to the basket where my toys were kept. Sitting down by it, I tucked the books in the back and moving around some of the toys, so I could have the crayons…

"Uh-um…" Daddy cleared his throat and when I looked up he was watching me. "Go on now."

Knowing he meant it, I did as I was told. I tried to put off going to bed, but after two stories, he turned off the lights and left the room, telling me to go to sleep. I lay awake for a bit before getting up. I always wondered what mummy and daddy did after I went to bed. I was just getting to the living room when I was caught.

"Hi daddy." I smiled sweetly. Maybe I wouldn't get into trouble.

"Sasha, what are you doing?" The smile dropped.

"May I have a glass of water?" Was the first thing I thought.

"One glass and you are going back to bed." He got me a cup of water before taking me back to bed. "Goodnight, little one." He kissed my head before tucking the covers around me.

"Goodnight Daddy." Holding Mr. Teddy, I watched him leave the room, still not tired. I lay there for a while. Should I get up? Daddy wouldn't like it if he found me out of bed again. But I suddenly was really thirsty. I could feel Daddy was in his room, meditating. Putting Mr. Teddy down, I slipped out of bed and tiptoed to the door. Opening the door was easy, so I peeked around it, just to make sure before sneaking down the hall. Still sensing Daddy in his room, I quietly made my way to the kitchen.

The cup Daddy used was still sitting on the counter. Using the Force, I filled the cup with water before calling it to me. After draining the cup, I put it back. Being quiet, I started for my room when my eyes caught something blinking. I stared at it as it started beeping. I looked to see if Daddy was coming but didn't sense or see him. I knew I should get him but would get into trouble about being out of bed again. The comlink was still blinking. What if it was mummy?

I quickly scrambled onto the chair and paused for a moment before hitting the button. Suddenly a very pretty lady stood in front of me who looked surprised to see me.

"May I speak with Master Kenobi?" She spoke. I stared at her, not sure who she was as she was not a Jedi I knew. It definitely was not mummy. "Is he there?"

I nodded. "But I am not supposed to be out of bed."

She let out a long breath before speaking again. "I must speak with him, I need his help."

"I can….." I could not finish before I felt Daddy behind me.

"What are you doing out of bed again?" He did not sound happy at all. "Who are you talking to?"

"Obi-Wan, I need help." The lady spoke as Daddy quickly moved me out of the way as they talked for a moment before it turned off.

"I will deal with your behavior later. " He said looking at me. "I have to leave and taking you downstairs."

I scrambled after him as he walked down the hall. "I can help. Can I come?"

"Absolutely not." He slipped his robe around him before putting one around me.

"But Daddy….." I shut my mouth at the "look."

We left our home and hurried down the hall. We were just about to step on the lift when a voice called out.

"Obi-Wan, wait."

"Anakin?" I couldn't help but grin as the sight of my uncle coming towards us.

"You heard about the Duchess being wanted for murder?"

"For murder?" I asked but neither Daddy nor Uncle Anakin listened to me as Daddy said he did and was on his way to help her.

"Can you take Sasha?" Daddy asked when Uncle Anakin asked if he needed anything.

"I want to help." I nearly yelled to get their attention.

"No." Daddy leaned down and kissed my head. "Go back to bed and you will be there when I return. "

"I have a speeder waiting outside the side door." Uncle Anakin called as Daddy ran down the hallway.

I sighed, I never got to do anything fun.

"Come on kiddio." My uncle took my hand, leading me back home. "Your father will have both of our heads if you don't get to bed."

"Why do things happen after I'm asleep?"

"I know it seems that way, but it's really not that exciting."

I just looked at him, not believing it.

He just grinned. "We'll most of the time." When we got to the apartment, he let us back in. "Okay, little one, back to bed."

"One story?" I asked, wanting to stay up as long as possible. I wanted to hear what happened to the Duchess.

"One story." He confirmed as he sat down in the chair in my room and I eagerly climbed into his lap, cuddling against him.

As he told a story, I felt soothing gentle waves of the Force wash over me as he rocked the chair. I yawned, trying to fight staying awake but the fingers smoothing my hair was making my eyes close. I yawned again before struggling to sit up, it would keep me awake.

But Uncle Anakin would have none of it and pulled me down again, still rocking, his voice soothing. His voice was quiet as he tucked the covers around me. "Goodnight my little Jedi, I love you."

I barely heard the door shut as he left as I could no longer fight the pull of sleep.

**Obi-Wan's Point of view**

"I am assuming you will be leaving for Mandalore soon?" I asked Satine as we walked through the Senate Halls after the real recording played and the decision against Republic involvement.

"Yes, I should return, we have much work to do." She paused before smiling. "Though I would not be opposed to meeting the one who was not supposed to be out of bed." I could not help but laugh at the reference to Sasha. "She sounds like someone else I know who is always getting into trouble."

Still chuckling slightly, I nodded my agreement. "I think that can be arranged. Sasha would like that."

As I escorted her to her quarters, we continued to discuss her plans for her people, which I was impressed with as well as catching up with an old friend.

Sasha was actually a bit shy about meeting Satine when we met at Padme's for brunch two days later, the morning she was to travel back to Mandalore. Sasha clung to my hand as introductions were made though Satine didn't seem to mind as we sat down to eat.

For a few minutes not much talk was made as everyone filled their plates, making sure Sasha had some fruit, though I saw Anakin slipping her a rather large piece of a cheesy pastry. "Anakin."

"What?" He gave me a rather innocent look as Sasha eagerly bit into it.

I leveled him a look as Satine and Padme laughed.

"Oh leave him be." Satine said, sipping her tea. "Aunts and uncles have every right to spoil."

Anakin smiled at her as I shook my head. "Thank you, at least someone is on my side."

The two ladies laughed as Sasha looked from one to the other, wondering what was so funny. Wanting to forestall any questions, I poured some juice into a glass and handed it to her.

As Sasha sipped it, Padme leaned over to ask her. "So tell us what have you learned lately?"

My daughter, having become more comfortable, giggled before sharing one of her lessons before giggling again. "I can write my entire name in a straight line."

I could not help but smile as Satine smiled at her. "That is very good. You have classes every day?"

Sasha nodded as we continued to eat. "I like it when Master Yoda lets us practice with our lightsabers. I want a real one but Daddy says I am too little."

"You'll have it one day Sasha." Anakin assured her with a grin. "I'll even help you with it."

She nodded as we finished the meal before I sent her to the fresher to clean her face and hands. While Sasha was gone and played in the living area, the adults talked about the war, that Ahsoka had a test this morning and how her apprenticeship was proceeding. Also that Sasha was finally getting along better with her. At some point, Anakin escorted Padme over to the Senate for a committee meeting while Sasha and I took Satine to her ship.

"It was a pleasure seeing you again." She said as we made our goodbye. "I do hope we can meet again, just not in such dire circumstances."

"That would be lovely." I glanced toward Sasha who was standing a few feet away watching the city around us in absolute awe.

Satine followed my gaze. "Your daughter is rather lively but articulates well for her young age."

"Thank you." I was about to continue but once Sasha started to skip away, I quickly called her back. "Sasha that's far enough."

We slowly made our way across the platform, talking quietly. "Please pass my regards onto your wife. I would have liked to have gotten to know her."

"Meagan would have liked that too." I told Satine as I took Sasha's hand before she could sprint off again.

Satine nodded as she knelt down to Sasha. "Now tell him something, do you not think your father is more handsome without the beard?"

Sasha stared at her blankly for a moment before answering. "But Daddy's always had a beard."

Satine and I laughed quietly before we said our final goodbyes. Sasha and I watched as Satine boarded her ship followed by the guards and then as it disappeared into traffic. We turned and headed back to the Temple.

"Daddy, she was nice. Are we going to see her again?"

"Yes she is and I hope so. She is a good friend." I could not help but think with the war, we could all use some good friends.

Instead of a quote, we thought we would put in "our version" of some of the conversation between Anakin and Obi-Wan aboard the Coronet from "The Voyage of Temptation" episode.

"Um….this may not be the time to ask, but does Meagan know about the Duchess?" Anakin asked as he and Obi-Wan entered the lift.

Obi-Wan paused, suddenly realizing he had never told his wife about her. "Uh, no."

Anakin smirked. "I think you are going to be in trouble my friend."

Obi-Wan frowned, giving Anakin a look.

Then a few minutes later:

"I'll take care of this Obi-Wan, you go find your girlfriend." Anakin smirked.

"Anakin." Obi-Wan, well knowing his friend was not serious, fired back. "If you remember I am married."

"Alright then." Anakin turned down the hall, jokingly called. "Your mistress."

"Anakin." Obi-Wan shook his head before heading the other direction.

Kira Shadow Wolf: We are glad you love our story. That's always good to hear! As for episode three, it will be included, but that's really all we are saying at this point as we don't want to give anything away. So please stay tuned! We hoped you enjoyed our version of the Mandalore trilogy. Thank you again!

Carminax Buranax: Writing part one was fun, where we could dive into the Star Wars world without worrying about a war and got more into the relationships and Meagan adjusting to everything. As for the attachment rule, we always felt Obi-Wan got gibed in that area and decided to change it to where he can be with someone. When we were planning the stories, Meagan and Obi-Wan's relationship was the main theme. We hope you continue to read them. Thanks again.

Ahsokanerd: You're welcome and glad you were surprised. We like doing that! Sasha, now that she is getting a little older, has been fun to put in as she is learning and growing. There will probably be more of them later. As for Meagan, her primary concern was for Sasha and I think maybe wanting to see Anakin bond with Ahsoka instead of trying to mother her. It wasn't anything intentionally done and there should be more with them as the story progresses. Thanks again for your thoughts, we always love to hear them whenever you give them.

Sue Clover: Welcome to our story and glad you found our Earth to Star Wars stories. Obi-Wan and Meagan could have gotten together soon, but sometimes you have to work thru things first. Besides, we had to create at least a little drama! We hope you continue to read the saga, there is much more to come. Thanks again.
