The Solaris Saga Episode 7: The Reborn of Solaris
After the tragic incident, everyone gathers inside the Blue Typhoon where Tails is examining Sonic's body. His body is laying down on an examination bed as the machine scans Sonic for any life within him. Sally and the others wait patiently for the results. On the computer it shows the results on the screen. Seeing the results, Tails is stunned.
Tails turns to the others and says knowing the worse, "Sonic's heart… is no longer beeping… He's…. He's gone."
Sally falls on her knees, "It's… it's not true… he can't be…"
Sally then hurries inside the examination room with Amy, Sonia, and Manic not far behind.
Sally calls out, "Sonic… Sonic!"
Suddenly, Blaze's voice says, "His soul's been taken."
Sally and the three hedgehogs turn to see Silver and Blaze stepping into the room. Hearing the statement, makes Sally and the other hedgehogs remember what happened. How Mephiles pulls a white orb that is really Eve's soul out of her body and takes him along with Blaze's statement of what has become of Sonic.
Stunned Amy asks, "You mean… Mephiles… he killed Sonic and Eve."
"I'm afraid he did," Blaze says.
"This is all because of Solaris," Rouge says as she and the rest of the team step into the room.
The rest of the Freedom Fighters enter the room as well.
"I am afraid Iblis will be revived and with this Mephiles will become Solaris once more, and it's all due to his manipulation," Antoine adds.
Shadow clutches his hands in anger, "And he is planning to use my sister to become Iblis."
Suddenly, Silver slams his fist to the wall as he angrily says, "Mephiles has played me for a fool. He played us all from the start. His plan all along was to take Sonic and Eve's souls and use Eve as a Vessel for Iblis."
"It's not your fault Silver. Mephiles lied to you and Blaze to do this," Cosmo says.
"That is why he wanted you to kill Sonic and separate him from Eve, so that he can take Eve's soul and her lifeless body," Blaze says to Silver.
"And use her to create a new Iblis so he and her will become Solaris. If we don't stop him, Eve will become Solaris as well," Rotor says.
"We have to do something!" Cream says, distressed.
"But how? We don't even know where Mephiles has taken Eve to. He could be anywhere," Fiona says.
"But we have to do something! I don't know what, but there has to be a way to save both Sonic and Eve!" Molly says.
Silver then speaks up, "There might be a way to save them and stop Mephiles. We need to find out where Mephiles is hidden to revive Iblis. If we can figure that and stop him before completing it, we might be able to recover Sonic and Eve's souls and put them back in their bodies."
"And then Sonic and Eve will do their thing and kick Mephiles' butt," Manic adds.
"Mephiles might be too strong for them to handle, now that he has a Chaos Emerald in his possession," Blaze says.
"But Shadow and I still have our own Chaos Emerald. It might be able to help," Silver says.
"But we still need four more, and one of them is well, in a secured place to say," Bunnie says, uneasy.
"And we don't know where the other three are," Nic says.
Sally then remembers, "Wait, I think I might know where Mephiles has taken Eve."
"You do?" Galaxina asks.
Sally turns to Tails and Rotor, "Tails. Rotor. You both remember that you found a keypad that is new and a sealed door in the old palace?"
"Yes," The two respond.
"What if that were Mephiles had taken Eve. And judging by the location, it's actually the lav where the Solaris Project was created when the explosion happened and where Iblis and Mephiles split up," Sally says.
"You think that's where he could be at?" Leon asks,
"It's possible and it will be where he has Eve and plans to recreate Iblis," Sally says.
"Then we don't have time to lose. The more time we stay here is the closer Mephiles will fulfill his objective," Molly says.
Amy says, "I'll stay here with Sonic. Someone has to."
"Cosmo and I will stay here with Amy and help keep an eye on Sonic. And Shun," Galaxina says.
"Then the rest of us will start heading over to the old palace to see if Mephiles is there," Sonia says.
Shadow then turns to Rouge, "Rouge, I need you and Leon to access G.U.N's database. Specifically, find out what materials the Scepter of Darkness was made from. With the scepter, we might be able to imprison Mephiles in the Scepter."
"Sure," Rouge says.
"We'll do the best we can," Leon says.
Tails then says, "It will be best if we take the X Tornado and the other ships and places we have and leave the Blue Typhoon here."
Everyone nod their heads agreeing to the idea and begin to head off to the deck. In the deck, The group then each hurrying inside a ship and ready to fly off. Once they're on the ship or other vehicle. They all make their way to the old palace to rescue their friends.
In one of the ships, Sally is inside with Maria, Cream, and the Chao.
She turns to the girls and says, "Now remember, you both need to stay close to us at all times. And the same goes for you Chaos."
"We will Sally," Cream says.
Maria nods her head, "Okay."
Then says in concern, "I hope we can save them in time."
"I hope so too, and we will," Sally answers.
The group continues to make their way to the ruins to rescue their friends and put a stop to Mephiles' scheme once and for all.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the ancient ruins of the old palace. Shows the sealed door that Tails and Rotor has seen before. Inside, it's the lab where Solaris has been split in two and become Mephiles and Iblis. Of course, Iblis has died out, but Mephiles is not going to let it last long.
In the very lab, Eve's lifeless body is laying on a metal table as her wrists and ankles are cuffed on to it. At the table close by, Mephiles has Sonic and Eve's souls placed in separate sealed up containers as he mixes the items he has collected together. Then with the Chaos Emerald, uses the power to put more of his dark powers into them, turning them into a bright small flame.
Mephiles evilly chuckles, "Yes. Everything is working perfectly. The items for Solaris will soon be completed, and then I will fuse the girl's soul with the flame and then have it placed into her."
Then he picks up one of the contained souls, "As for the blue hedgehog, his soul will become one with this form. That is when we shall become one…"
"Little Eve," Mephiles adds as he turns his head towards Eve.
Eve's body continues to remain stiff and lifeless. Mephiles continues his work with the small flame of Solaris as he makes it dark and fused with black magic. Suddenly, Mephiles stops as he senses something.
He turns his head to the exit of the door and says, "It seems that we'll soon be having unexpected guests, and it will appear that they are trying to rescue their friends."
He then holds out the Chaos Emerald in the air, "However, they will not interfere with us becoming Solaris."
With his own power and the Purple Chaos Emerald that is tainted, his shadow is spread across the floor and silhouettes of dark shadow creatures rise from the shadow. All their eyes open to reveal their glowing green eyes.
Mephiles commands, "Go my shadows, we will soon be intruded by those who plan to put a stop to my plan. Go out and destroy them."
The shadows don't say a word and fly through the walls and the door of the sealed room and head off to stop the ones who plan to stop them. Mephiles evilly chuckles to see the shadows heading off to take care of the intruders.
A few distance outside of the palace, the Freedom Fighters and Team Dark hide their vehicles on the ground and hide them in the trees and leaves.
"Now that we're here, let's go take care of this creep," Manic says and begins to walk off to the ruin.
Sonia quickly grabs his wrist, "Wait a minute Manic, Mephiles is very powerful. We won't stand a chance unless we come up with a plan."
"She's right. We don't really know Mephiles all that much and what he can do," Sally says.
"Other than the fact that he is ze powerful, evil, frightening, and not nice," Antoine says.
Bunnie turns to Sally, "Y'all have a point. Who knows what Mephiles will do if he finds out we're trying to stop him."
Suddenly, the shadow creatures begin to appear from the shadows starting some of the group.
Cream nervously asks, "Wha-what are these things?"
"They look like shadows," Nic says.
Molly then brings out her gun and friends in the shadows, but the blasts from the gun phases right through one of them.
"What?" Molly says, stunned.
She looks at her gun to see if it's something wrong with it.
Shadow quickly gets in front of Molly, "Careful, I think these things are created by Mephiles."
Nic and Bunnie bring out their own blaster and fire at the enemies, but their attack doesn't do anything to the creatures.
"What in tarnation?" Bunnie questions, stunned.
"Our blast that phases right through them," Nic says, looking at her blaster.
Then the shadows begin to fly towards them.
"Here they come!" Tails cries out.
The group quickly dodge the attack as the shadows fly over them. Fiona tries to punch and kick at the shadow, but her attacks just phases through them.
"What?" Fiona says, stunned.
Suddenly, the shadow grabs Fiona by her ankle and throws her at Bunnie and Sonia, causing them to fall to the ground.
Fiona groans as she sits up, "I can't attack them physically either."
Omega then fires his multiple firearms at the shadows, but against the attacks doesn't hurt the shadows at all and go right through them. Sally even brings out her ring blaze as they come close to Cream and Maria. She then uses her ring blazes to slash at the shadows seeing them split into pieces. However, the shadows pull themselves together to become whole.
Maria takes a deep breath and uses her Chaos ability, "Cha-Chaos spear!"
Maria creates a Chaos spear in her hand and throws it at the shadow. However, this time the Chaos Spear stabbed the shadow and it disappeared into thin air, dissolved.
"Huh?" Maria says, confused.
Suddenly, Maria senses something behind her. She quickly turns around to see one of the shadow creatures.
She panics and screams, "Chaos Spear!"
Then throws a Chaos Spear at the shadow. The shadow is stroked by the spear and dissolves. Sally soon notices something after seeing Maria attacking the shadow with her power.
"Maria, are you okay?" Sally asks.
"I-I'm okay," Maria nervously says.
Shadow reaches to Maria, "Are you sure you're okay?"
"I'm okay Shadow, but um, I think our Chaos Energy is what destroyed the shadow thing," Maria says.
Sally says, "I saw it too. The Chaos Control that you did was able to stop those shadows."
Shadow says, "So that means…"
Shadow then uses his Chaos Energy and shouts, "Chaos Spear!"
Shadow then creates multiple Chaos Spears that strike at the many shadows in the area. The shadows are stroked and they all disappear in the matter of seconds. The group move out of the way as the Chaos Spears strike with the Chaos Energy. Soon, all the shadows are destroyed.
Bunnie sighs, "Phew, that was too close. You really got us out of a jam sugarhog."
Shadow walks to Maria as he says, "First off, don't call me that. And second, it seems that Mephiles must have created these shadows in order to stall us."
"Like he is buying time," Silver says.
"Exactly. He got to reach the ancient castle before Mephiles completes his insane plan," Shadow says.
Then speeds off as Sally shouts, "Shadow, wait!"
"Wait for us!" Tails shouts.
Sally, Silver, and the others hurry after Shadow to find Eve and hopefully save her before Mephiles' plan can take place.
Still in the old lab of the ancient castle, Mephiles has finished getting the items mixed together and uses the power of the Chaos Emerald to create a powerful flame inside a container. Mephiles then takes Eve's soul outside of a container and walks over to the Flames. Mephiles then presses the soul inside the container and it fuses with the Flames.
Mephiles evilly chuckles, "Yes. The Flames of Solaris are fusing with the girl's soul nicely. Once that is done. I will have her soul placed back in her body and she will become Iblis."
Then picks up the small container that has Sonic's soul, "While Sonic's soul will become a part of me. It won't be long now."
As Mephiles is getting ready to finish the process of his plan, Shadow is soon able to reach the front of the castle.
Shadow grits his teeth, "So this is where Mephiles is hiding. With the shadows attacking us, it proves that he is there."
He then clutches his fist in pure anger and remembers what Mephiles has done to Eve and has taken her soul and lifeless body.
"He'll pay for what he did. I'll be sure of it," Shadow thinks.
Shadow is about to go inside, but hears someone calling out, "Shadow!"
He turns around to see Sally, Maria, and the others hurrying over to catch up with him. Blaze and Silver have their own way of getting around.
Sally sighs and says, "Shadow, you need to wait for us."
"Yeah. We're trying to rescue Eve and Sonic too," Fiona says, crossing her arms.
Shadow sighs, "Sorry, but I plan on getting my sister back, even if I'm going to have to tear Mephiles apart."
"Wait Shadow, we need to find a way to get to Eve and return her soul and get Sonic's away from Mephiles," Blaze says.
"She's right. If Mephiles did send those shadows, then he must have sensed that we're coming over to rescue Sonic and Eve," Silver says.
"And he will do whatever it takes to stop us," Nic adds.
Omega then holds out his robotic arm, "Then let us destroy him and foil his plans. And I will destroy his lab."
Yes Omega, we know. But first, we need to get Eve out of there and stop Mephiles," Molly says.
Shadow says, "Then let's head over there."
"Yes. Before Solaris can be completed," Silver says.
The Freedom Fighters and Team Dark hurry inside the ancient ruins to find Mephiles and stop him before he gains his full powers.
Back in the Blue Typhoon medical center, Amy has Sonic's lifeless body tucked.
Amy says, worried, "Hang in there, Sonic. I'm sure the others are doing the best they can to bring you back. And I know they're doing their best to save Eve too."
Then turns her head in concern, "I hope they hurry. I'm worried something terrible is going to happen."
In the computers of the Blue Typhoon, Rouge and Leon continue to search through G.U.N's database. They've been searching for some time now and they haven't been able to find much about the Scepter of Darkness.
Just then, Leon is able to notice something, "I found it, Rouge."
"Really now?" Rouge asks, feeling bored and tired.
"Yes. It shows about what happened with the Solaris Project and how they created it. I even found out that one of the scientists have created the Scepter of Darkness. It plans on what materials it was made and how we're able to put it together," Leon says.
He types on the computers and says, "I'm sending it to Shadow now and I'll print a copy for us too."
Leon continues to type on the computers and has a copy on how to create the Scepter of Darkness printed out and is sending a copy to the others.
Rouge takes the papers from the printer, "With this, we'll be able create a new Scepter of Darkness and put a stop to Mephiles' plans once and for all."
"Then let's see if we can construct it and bring it to the others," Rouge says.
Leon and Rouge hurry off to find the items they need in order to create a new Scepter of Darkness and stop Mephiles. In the ancient ruins, Shadow and the others hurry down the halls to rescue Eve and Sonic's lives, they hurry as fast as they can to find their way to the lab. Since Shadow and Silver have been there before, they both know which way to go.
Meanwhile in the lab, Mephiles sees that Eve's soul is fully fused with the flames in the container. He then uses his power to take it out and with the power of the Chaos Emerald, he places Eve's infused soul back in her body. Once placed in her body, Eve soon begins to feel slight movement as she is starting to feel the pain around her body.
Mephiles holds out Sonic's soul in his hand, "And now for this soul."
Mephiles uses his power to have Sonic's soul be placed inside his body. Once Sonic's soul is inside Mephiles' body, Mephiles feel strong power. Just then, Eve's eyes open to reveal fiery red eyes along with a bright yellow color. Soon, her quills begin to glow bright as fire begins to surround her body. She soon begins to lift her body up and stands on her two feet. She then turns to see Mephiles. Mephiles's power along with the Chaos Emerald and Sonic's soul cause him to change a new form.
His fur becomes blackish purple color with white, and his skin is pale white. His eyes are now green with red sclera. The hands and feet now gain claws with sharp armor.
Mephiles maniacally laughs and says, "Finally, Iblis has finally been reborn. At long last, I'll be able to join with you."
He then holds his hands out to Eve who is starting to change her appearance.
"Iblis, take my hands," Mephiles says.
Eve who is now becoming Iblis reaches her hands out to Mephiles and takes his hands. The Chaos Emerald soon begins to float between the two hedgehogs.
Mephiles then says, "Now Chaos Emerald! It's time for the final curtain call!"
The Chaos Emerald is being lifted into the air and shows a bright glow that surrounds the area. Down the hall, the group are doing their best to find Eve and Mephiles. Suddenly, the Chaos Emerald in Silver and Shadow's hand begin to glow and cause a strange reaction.
Outside, dark clouds begin to form as Mephiles and Iblis are in the sky. Suddenly, the seven Chaos Emeralds have been brought together and are beginning to fuse Mephiles and Eve together.
Outside of Soleanna, Knuckles along with Julie-Su, and the rest of the Chaotix are hurting the city, Knuckles senses something's wrong and knows that they need to head there as fast as they can. Suddenly, a bright glow appears in the center of the sky, blinding everyone and causing fear and sadness.
Still engulfed in the flames, Mephiles and Eve are being fused together to become one entity and with the power of the Chaos Emerald, it is possible now. This is one battle that is going to be hard for anyone to win.
