A Very Morgan Christmas-Ch 6
The next week flew by and New Years quickly approached, the team got called away on a case on the 28th and it was looking less and less like they would make it home before the year ended. Penelope had been in hopes that her and Derek would be able to spend the night together since it was their first as a married couple.
Fran had planned a little celebration for the family but since the team was away she cancelled it, she just didn't want to celebrate the New Year with the majority of her family away. Penelope sighed as she walked through the front door.
She toed off her shoes and wiggled her toes as she shut and locked the door behind her before she made her way to the barking Clooney. She dropped down on her knees in front of the pooch and rubbed his head and said, "I know buddy, I wanted to spend tonight with him too".
Penelope stood up and said, "come on let mommy feed her boy some treats" and Clooney trotted right along beside her wagging his tail. She stopped and put some food and water in his bowls and then grabbed the treat bag and quickly gave him a treat.
He ate it and followed her upstairs, she sighed and decided that she would take a quick bath and then head to bed, if she couldn't spend New Years with Derek and the rest of her family she would just go to bed and hope for the best tomorrow.
She soaked in a tub of bubble bath for a few minutes before getting out and putting on her nightgown, she then cleaned up her mess in the bathroom before heading toward her bedroom. Penelope smiled down as she saw Clooney now peacefully sleeping.
As she walked by him she said, "good night buddy, Happy New Year", she then headed on down the hall toward the room that she shared with her hotstuff. A huge smile came to her face when she opened the door and saw Derek laying on the bed waiting on her.
She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him and said, "you're here, you're here", he kissed her lips gently and said, "of course I am, I couldn't miss New Years Eve, especially since it's our first one together since we got married".
Penelope laid down beside him on the bed and he said, "I love you baby girl", she said, "I love you too" and then his lips descended down on hers in a slow, passionate kiss. One kiss led to two and two to four and soon they were making passionate love.
As the clock struck midnight they laid wrapped in each others arms, Derek kissed the top of her head and said, "Happy New Year sweetness". She looked up at him and said, "Happy New Year handsome, Happy New Year" and it was only a few minutes later before they both drifted off to sleep
