Mele Kalikimaka everyone! The year of 2020 is almost at its end and I hope everyone is doing good with how crazy life has been and what this year has thrown at us. It's been chaotic but I am still trying to write the story out and be sure all makes sense. As a fun little special here's a random Christmas ark for you all to enjoy ^_^

Christmas Special

Kim was decorating the stairwell with music playing loudly through the halls, singing along to her favorites with ears perked and wrapped in garland. Kasumi was also in the Christmas spirit as she decorated the tree with ornaments, looking at each decoration and laughing when she came across one's made by the host club.

"Kim, remember this one? Honey and Mori tried so hard making them but they turned out so strange." Hiding her laugh as the misshapen bunny and bear looked as though they went through an oven gone wrong, Kim laughed recalling Honey's disappointed expression.

"Who would have thought he was no good with clay." The garland she held around herself was now being strung through the poles of the stairwell and finished with a bow at the end to tie it all in place. "Perfect! Need help with the tree?"

"I got it," wrapping the tree with ribbon and finishing it off with candy canes, Kim pulled out her phone and snapped a picture. "Kim did you just-"

"Yup. Now to send this to Haruhi and her father."

She looked frantic running across the room to snatch Kim's phone but failed as Kim was quicker than her and already sent the picture. With a mischievous grin as Kim got out of reach, Kasumi sighed and laughed.

"I look terrible! My hair is probably covered in glitter and tinsel."

"And that's why it was a perfect shot."

"Well what's done is done. Go ahead and send the message out for the guys to come over anytime for the party."

Kim perked right up when she got the cue and went to send out a group message before her ears twitch to someone coming around the corner. "Grimmjow, what's wrong?"

"...what is this?" Pointing to literally everything in sight, nose scrunched and the most confused expression worn, Kim cocked her head in disbelief.

"It's Christmas. We're getting ready for the party tonight."

"Is all this strange stuff needed? What's with the fat guy in red?"

"That's Santa!" Kim shrieked as she defended her wonderful creation of Santa Claus. "You seriously have no clue about Christmas?" His look spoke for itself as he questioned everything around him, Kim took a deep breath and tried not letting this matter bother her. "Ok...how about you help Kasumi with the remaining decorations and I'm going to start cooking." Shoving him off to Kasumi to deal with, he walked reluctantly over to the tree and watched as Kasumi tried her best reaching the top with a star in hand.

"...need help?" Amused by her trying to reach the top, she pouted and puffed her cheeks.

"If I had my step ladder I could reach it..."

"Well I don't see a step ladder...you want help or not?"

"...yes..." admitting her defeat as she went to hand him the star he didn't go for it and instead picked her up instead. "Holy shi-Grimmjow what are you doing?!"

"Helping you reach the top?"

"...you could have done it yourself..." embarrassed to be picked up so suddenly, he didn't seem to understand so she ignored it and placed the star on top. "Perfect! Now to set up the table and-!" Grimmjow lost his balance avoiding the box to place her down and the two of them went tumbling down to the ground fast. With quick reflex Grimmjow held onto Kasumi and was sure she was alright, he himself landing on the ground with a loud thud brought Kim straight from the kitchen in a panic.

"What happened?!"
She saw them both on the ground, clearly seeing what went wrong and saw they were ok.
"Alright you two, try not to give yourself a concussion today." Jokingly as to lighten the mood, Kasumi and Grimmjow both raised a hand while containing their own laughter to such a blundering fall.

"I thought you'd be more graceful," Kasumi joked. Staring at Grimmjow as she got off him and helped him up.

"Can't say I was prepared," wincing a bit as he felt something small on his back that was broken. Reaching for whatever it was and managing to get it, a small ornament was broken and he cringed when handing it to Kasumi. "Sorry, whatever it is, it's broke."

She took it gingerly, her eyes a little sad as the ornament was an old one with her parents picture in it when they were an actual family together. Not mad in the slightest and taking the broken pieces and putting it off to the side, she checked his back for any cuts and found none. Grimmjow went to speak but Kasumi excused herself quietly while cleaning the mess.
Grimmjow quietly entered the kitchen, not sure what exactly happened and explained it to Kim to find the answers. Kim happily explained.

"She'll be alright. It's a small thing to worry about, so don't take it seriously."

"...it didn't look small."

"That picture was never hung on the tree again since her parents death. All these years she brings it out to look at it but never places it on any branches. It's fixable, I assure you."

"...this Christmas you guys do...the things on the tree, you make 'em?" Kim's ears perked as a sly smile played her lips.

"Why yes...are you interested?"
He didn't say it directly, but Kim knew the small gesture of guilt that plagued him and got out a small batch of quick and easy ornament making dough and started it for Grimmjow.

He was clumsy in the kitchen. Making the biggest mess for merely mixing a small batch of dough as he didn't understand the concept of flour and how airy it is. They laughed at the mess, Kim tired making the effort to help and clean but just let it be as he finally got the dough and just needed to knead and shape what he wanted out of it. As she continued her cooking while keeping tabs on him like a mother would to a toddler playing with play-doh, Grimmjow had several odd shapes made out and tried putting them together to make something out of it.

"What are you going for?" Seeing his odd figurine, he scratched his head all confused why it didn't come out the way he wanted it too.

"I wanted to make a large cat. My form before I turned into an Arrancar." She still didn't understand his terminology but didn't want to give Kasumi an alien object. "This is more difficult than I thought..." he grumbled.

"Not if you take your time and imagine what it is you want from it." She aided him and got the description from him of what he was trying to make and she began shaping the dough to be more feline structured and started working on the finer details.

"Damn, you can do that with me saying what I look like?" Amazed, taking a good look at her handiwork and admiring the skill, Kim boasted it was her skill in play at its finest. "So it's done right?"

"Not even close." Slipping in the final touches and applying the coat to harden the dough while setting the oven to where it was needed, he watched with fierce admiration of all she was doing right down to closing the door for the ornament to bake. "Now then, help me clean this up and set the table. The guys will be here soon and I want everything to be done."

"Alright."

Everyone was gathered around the living room, admiring the decorations and the tree while also having several assistants bring in the gifts they bought for one another. Haruhi and her father came as well bearing small gifts and baked goods that they could afford to make. The entire host club nearly fell faint to the confectionaries of the poor class and wanted to eat them first before the meal. With Kim taking reins on the boys and all dessert items put away, Kasumi cleared her throat as to get everyone's attention.

"Everyone, the year is ending and I just want to say my thanks." Tamaki was ready to join in when brought down to sit by Haruhi pulling on his jacket. The twins leisurely sat beside Kim and Kouya sat close to where Kasumi was at. "I know we've been through the strangest year possible and had our bumps in the road to get to this point, but hey, we made it somehow!" Everyone laughed. The atmosphere bright as each person spoke softly of their own dilemmas. "May everyone's year be bright and filled with all sorts of excitement from this point on!" Raising a glass and hearing 'cheers' all around, they started the festivities with opening presents first.

Starting with Honey and watching the excitement on his face grow while he handed everyone a present, he waited anxiously for their expressions as Haruhi was the first to gasp and unveil her giant plush of Usa-chan. Tamaki got a gold-plated cuffs which he adorned immediately to flaunt and showcase in his own fashion. Mori received a large coupon book of favors from Honey that he seemed delighted to get as he noted several being about sweet restrictions. The twins got matching silk scarfs from across the seas. Kim was given a sweets recipe book full of pop up stars for Honey's favorite treats as incentive which to make while Kasumi opened hers and got a large stuffed penguin as her gift.
Enjoying the merriment as each opened another gift to enjoy, being lavish or simple, sharing stories of their time together and marking their time in their lives. As Grimmjow entered the room and got several stares his way, Kasumi brought him over and placed a Santa hat on his head while laughing hysterically to the way it looked on him. Her expression "a thug Santa" rang loud and clear as others laughed to the spectacle. Though Grimmjow didn't understand anything that was happening, once the food was served he went along with the charade of human festivities and quietly enjoyed the strange merriment.

"OH Kim~" Tamaki waltzed his way over to her, grabbing her hand as he spun her around sporadically to the music playing. Kim was about to be spun to death before the twins caught her and also danced alongside her merrily.
The cheerful banter, making up games and enjoying themselves as any person could, wishing the day to never end, they each gave thanks as the curtains were drawn to a close and they spent the rest of their day being merry...and bright.

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New year!
