Eve and the Black Knight Saga Episode 1: Sucked into the world of Knights
Sleeping in her bedroom in a dark and stormy night, Eve is fast asleep, and is starting to dream, a very mysterious dream. Whatever the dream is, it's starting to make her shed tears in her sleep. She feels that someone… or something… is badly hurt.
Eve's eyes open to find herself no longer in her room. Instead, she finds herself in a strange room. She looks around to see stained glass windows that the pictures are hard to make out along with large curtains. She then noticed on the other side of the room as she follows a long red rug, she sees a throne. She then feels her cheek to feel tears coming down her face.
Eve calmly calls out, "Hello! Hey… Can you hear me?!"
Just then, a glowing blue light floats down towards Eve and stands in front of her.
Someone says, "I heard your voice. It cut through the darkness around me. All alone, I followed the sound into the bright light… and it led me straight to you."
Eve reaches her hand out and the light lands in front of it.
"I… I needed to escape from this darkness…. I needed to find help… I need help… to save my home," The voice says.
"It's okay. Please, tell me your name," Eve says.
Reluctant, the voice says, "I… I don't remember… I don't remember my name… I don't remember who I was… I don't remember where I come from."
"That's terrible. I know what it's like to not remember about your past, who you used to be," Eve says.
"You gave me something when I needed it most. A second chance. Would you mind, if I stay here with you, until I can remember," The voice says.
Eve smiles and says, "Yes. If it will make you feel better. I promise, I'll help you find your memories. I'll help you remember who you are and I'll help you get back home."
"You will?" The voice asks.
Eve happily nods her head in reply.
"Thank you," The voice says.
Then the orbs then phases through into Eve's body. Eve places her hands on her chest and feels the warm light.
Eve says in her thoughts, "I promise to protect you and to help you in any way I can."
The next morning, the sun begins to rise and the light shines into Eve's room. The light touches Eve and she begins to wake up. Eve sits herself up and begins to yawn. After waking herself up, Eve walks to the window and looks outside.
Eve sighs and says, "What a beautiful day?"
Eve then begins to think about their dream, "That dream… it happened again. The same dream… a promise that I made. I promise to help, but I'm still not sure how. I do hope I do."
After getting dressed and fixed herself up, Eve and her Chao, Jazz meet up with Sonic and the other Freedom Fighters to talk about the situation with Dr. Eggman, which is that they haven't heard much about his activity for some time.
"Alright, now that we're all here, we can discuss about the lack of Eggman sightings. Not even his robots," Sally says.
"Yeah. Eve and I checked out his secret lair, but we didn't see him or any of his annoying robots," Sonic says.
"Maybe Dr. Eggman decided to take a break or maybe retire?" Cream suggests.
"And give up his conquest to take over Mobius? No way!" Amy denies.
"Yeah. The day Dr. Eggman gives up on his conquest is the day we don't have to worry about our other enemies," Eve says.
"Which is like… close to never," Sonic says.
"Alright, but if there hadn't been any sightings of Eggman, then that means something must be up," Sally says.
"You're right Sally girl. I wouldn't put it past Dr. Eggman to be cookin' up something," Bunnie says.
"You're right about that. If Dr. Eggman hasn't made an attempt to attack us or on Mobius, it will mean that he has something planned," Eve says.
"And it must be a big one if none of us have heard a word from him," Sonic says.
"I have to wonder what he's planning to. He is always up to something," Fiona says.
"And the fact we have heard any sightings of him, indicates that something is up," Nic adds.
"And I hate to think of he could be planning," Sally says.
"It will be best for us to keep an eye out, in case he is planning something," Eve says.
"That will be for the best is to keep an eye out for him or any of his robots to make sure they won't cause any trouble or to see if he's planning anything major," Sally says.
Sometime later after the meeting, Sonic and Eve are buying chili dogs from the hot dog stand in town. Sonic as usual eat chili dogs that is about a dozen while Eve eats close to three or four.
Eve giggles, "Oh Sonic."
"Hey, Chili dogs are my favorite food and I'll eat as many as I like," Sonic says.
Eve grins, "Until you get sick."
Jazz eats the chilidog too with a smile on her face. Eve continues to eat hers, but feels a bit distracted.
Sonic notices, "Hey sis, you feeling okay?"
"I'm okay. I just had that dream again last night," Eve says.
"You mean you heard that voice again?" Sonic asks.
Eve nods her head, "I did. I remember I promised to help the voice that is in that blue light, but I'm not sure how."
"I'm sure you'll figure it out. After all, you always live up to your promises," Sonic says.
Eve smiles and says, "Thanks."
Eve stands up and says, "I should get back home. I promised my parents I help take care of the kids today."
"Sure. I'll see you later," Sonic says.
"See you later," Eve says, and walks away.
Jazz lands on Eve's head as she walks away from her brother and plans to head back home. Eve gives Jazz another chili dog while she takes one for herself. Soon, they both begin to eat the chili dogs.
"After we get home, let's read the kids a story," Eve says.
"Chao Chao," Jazz happily says
Eve and Jazz continue to walk along the city to head back home. Suddenly, a strange glowing circle begin to surround them catching them by surprise.
"Wha-what's happening?" Eve asks, shocked.
"Chao Chao," Jazz replies, shocked.
Just then, a flash of light causes Eve and Jazz to disappear along with their lunch.
Moments ago, in a dark land, there is a young woman that is holding a golden staff with a blue orb and is running away in fear. She is wearing a tiara with a red jewel, a purple cloak with dark pink markings, a blue dress with golden markings,a brown belt, and armored high-heeled boots. She has long purple braided hair with gold accessories, peach skin, and blue eyes that show fear.
The girl turns her head around to see a dark and gold dressed knight chasing her while riding on a black horse with the same armor. The young woman continues to run in fear as she tries to escape him. The Black Knight then brings out a dark sword and slashes it across the sky. Just then, dark creatures arrive out of the rift and land in front of the girl. The girl turns around to see the dark knight behind her.
She knows there is one chance to stop this. She stabs her staff on the ground and blue magic begins to appear around her.
The girl chants, "Ifaras zaras yezaras... Ifaris zaris yezarik... O brave knight, swift as the wind! Heed my call!"
Then the magic rises through the dark clouds and opens a portal. That is when Eve and Jazz fall out of the sky and are going to hit the ground. Eve quickly acts and creates a Chaos Bubble around herself and Jazz. Soon, Eve lands gently on the ground as Jazz. Once on the ground, Eve uses her powers to place her chilidogs in a box.
Eve turns to Jazz and asks, "Are you okay, Jazz?"
"Chao," Jazz answers with a nod.
Eve looks around and asks, "Where are we?"
The girl hurries to Eve and says, "Being from a distant world!"
Then removes her hood to reveal her face, "Forgive my abrupt summons!"
Eve turns around to see the black knight in front of her along with the strange creatures. Eve removes her backpack and places the box of chili dogs inside. Then places it on the ground.
"Oh, I get it. No problem! I'm used to stuff like this!" Eve says.
Then uses her super speed to knock the dark creatures off her feet and swept them away by the wind she has created. Eve soon stops in front of the girl, much to her surprise to see the creatures have been taken care of easily. Eve turns to see the dark knight in front of her.
Eve sternly says, "And it looks like I have one more to deal with."
Eve then reaches to the scabbard and pulls out her sword.
Before Eve can do anything, the girl quickly grabs her shoulder, "No, you mustn't!"
"Huh? Why not? I can take care of this guy," Eve asks.
"I'm afraid it is not simple. You must come with me, and I'll explain," The young girl says.
The girl then creates a twister around them, covering them in a strong cloud of dust. When the dust disappears, the black knight can see Eve, Jazz, and the young girl are gone. The black knight then puts the sword back in the scabbard and flies to the cliff to see three knights but with familiar faces under the armor. The familiar faces are Shadow the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echinda, and Blaze the Cat. When the Black Knight arrives, the three knights kneel down to him.
The Black Knight commands, "I shall give chase. Spread out and go after them. Slay them on sight."
The knights nod their heads in reply. Then the Black Knight flies off and the three knights stand.
The knight with Blaze appearance says, "Let's go."
"Must we? She is the Royal Wizard after all!" The knight resembles Knuckles asks.
"The King's orders are absolute, Gawain," The knight resembles Shadow says.
The knight with Knuckles appearance, called Gawain says in concern, "Yes, but...!"
"Without loyalty to the King, we are nothing," The knight with Blaze appearance says.
The Knight with Shadow's appearance nods his head and leaves the area.
The knight of Blaze's appearance turns her head, "Still, the King... He has changed. And this kingdom…"
Soon, the other two follow and plan on hunting the young girl along with Eve and Jazz down.
Meanwhile, Eve and Jazz find themselves in a foggy forest with the young girl.
Eve shakes her head, "That was weird."
Chao Chao," Jazz says, landing on Eve's head.
Eve turns her head to see the girl who is walking towards her.
"Follow me, we have much to do," The girl says.
"Um, okay," Eve says.
Soon, Eve and Jazz begin to follow the girl.
Eve then introduces herself, "We didn't get a chance to introduce ourselves. My name is Eve, and this is my Chao friend, Jazz."
"Chao Chao," Jazz happily says.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. I apologize for not introducing myself earlier. My name is Merlina," The girl says.
"Merlina, huh. That's a nice name," Eve says.
"Thank you," Merlian says with a smile.
Eve then asks, "By the way, why'd you stop me? I could've taken him down, no problem!"
"You do not understand. He cannot be wounded," Merlina says.
Eve becomes confused, "He cannot be wounded? How can that be?"
"He bears the scabbard of Excalibur," Merlina answers.
Hearing the name Eve asks, "Wait, Excalibur. As in the sword great sword Excalibur. The one that was wielded by King Arthur."
"That is correct," Merlina says.
Soon, Eve reliazes, "Wait a minute, are you saying that the Black Knight we just saw is…"
"Yes. And this land is ruled by King Arthur," Merlina says.
"He really is… but he… he seemed way different in the stories. I even named an attack I used based on Excalibur in the stories."
Merlina puts on her hood and says, "Let us go. We can talk along the way."
"Okay. I like to know what's going on," Eve says.
Eve, Jazz, and Merlina continue to walk down the trail and hopefully Eve can understand the situation they are in.
Meanwhile, the three knights continue to search for the Eve, Jazz, and Merlina.
The knight resembles Shadow and says, "We'll have more progress if we split up. If you see them. Slay them on eight."
The other two nod their heads and head off in different directions.
The knight resembles Shadow and remembers seeing Eve and Jazz with Merlain.
"That girl… she resembles my face, but why would Merlina summon her? It doesn't matter, the king wants me to slay them when they're in my sight," The knight resembles Shadow says and speeds off.
Meanwhile, Merlina, Eve, and Jazz reach a place called Misty Lake, where Merlina explains to Eve and Jazz about the situation.
Merlina explains, "He was once a wise and just ruler. He was blessed with noble knights and praised by all. However…"
"Let me guess, either King Arthur got a little sidetracked, or an evil monster is planning on shrouding the kingdom in darkness and capturing your king," Eve suspects.
Merlina sadly sighs, "In a way."
"Something happened, huh?" Eve asks.
"Yes. I am actually the Royal Wizard of King Arthur, like my grandfather, Merlin before me," Merlina says.
"Your grandfather was the Merlin the Wizard?" Eve asks, surprised.
"Chao?" Jazz replies.
"Yes. However, I was forced to flee when a terrible beast attacked the throne room that existed inside the scabbard and has the king trapped in that frightening form," Merlina says.
"The scabbard did that?" Eve asks.
"Correct. Nimue, the Lady of the Lake, gave King Arthur Excalibur along with the Scabbard. However, the Scabbard also carries a terrible beast inside. According to Nimue, a spirit of an evil knight has been imprisoned for his misdeeds. She gave him the scabbard to keep it locked up. Even though it possesses the power of immortality, it will end up corrupt whoever wields it. Luckily, King Arthur made sure it was sealed… but…" Merlina says, but soon becomes silent.
"But what?" Eve asks.
Merlina is concerned to say, but knows she must answer, "The spirit that was in the scabbard begins to act like it has a mind of its own. It confronted the king and I while we were in the throne room. We tried to fight back, but the dark spirit became too much and broke free from it's prison. Then, the spirit tried to possess the king and blacken his soul. I then tried to use my magic on the fiend, but it was too late. I was forced to flee and knew that I needed to find a way to save the king and stop this destruction."
"Don't worry Merlina, I'll find a way to help you. But… to take down King Arthur, what about the immortality thing?" Eve answers.
"Beyond this misty lake sleeps a sacred sword," Merlina says.
"A sacred sword?" Eve asks.
"Yes. It will be our only chance to help you on your quest," Merlina says.
"I see. I'll take in no time at all," Eve says.
Eve uses her powers to create a bubble to places Merlina inside.
"Let's go!" Eve says.
With the super speed, Eve is making her way across the lake. Merlina is surprised to be carried in some enchanted bubble and Eve is running with top speed. Jazz continues to sit on Eve's head as they travel around the lake.
Merlian says surprise, "Oh my. I have never seen enchantment like this before."
"Don't worry, you'll get used to it. I do all this kinds of stuff when I'm battling evil, Eve says.
"I see, so you usually fight villains and save kingdoms?" Merlina asks.
"In a way. I mean, I do live in a kingdom and am friends with a princess, actually I'm actually friends with two," Eve says.
She then sees the creatures that are knocked as the Knights of the Underworld. Eve then brings out her sword and attacks then. Soon, they all disappear in a puff of smoke.
"So then, you must be a knight as well who serves your kingdom's ruler?" Merlina asks.
"I'm not exactly a knight, but I do help my friends defend the kingdom and well, actually my home planet from a mad man," Eve says.
"Oh my," Merlina replies.
Then Merlina notices, "Eve, look out!"
Eve looks ahead to see a large green dragon with large wings with a crystal on its forehead.
"What is that thing?" Eve asks.
"That is the ruler of the Misty Lake: The Mystic Dragon," Merlina says.
"Stand back Merlina," Eve says, playing Merlina on the ground.
Eve brings out her sword and begins to fight off the dragon. Eve continues to slash the dragon on the head, even though it's only causing a small amount of damage. Seeing the crystal on its forehead, Eve jumps up and slices it off the dragon with one blow. The dragon screams in agony and flies away.
"Well, that's taken care off," Eve says, turning to Merlina.
Then asks, "Shall we continue?"
"Yes. We must hurry," Merlina says.
The two continue on their way and soon they have reached the other side of the lake. Of course, Merlina is impressed by Eve's action.
"T-that was amazing! Defeating the Mist Dragon like it was nothing, the mark of a true knight…" Merlina says.
"I do know about being a knight, but I've done stuff like this all the time. I've been practicing using my sword since I was… like around ten," Eve says.
"I see. Sounds to me that I have summoned the right knight to help in our hour of need," Merlina says.
"You have no idea," Eve says.
Soon, the three stop as Merlina looks up and points her staff forward, "We are here."
The three look to see a large rocky hill that has a giant tree on the top of it.
"The sword is up there," Merlina says.
"Okay," Eve says.
Eve then jumps up on the rocky ledges and reaches the sword stuck in the stone. The weapon in the stone is a long sword with a double-edged silvery blade and a lighter edge. His guard was a gold circle with two small gold protuberances or 'wings' on the sides of a pulled back gold spiked cross-guard with a red semi-circle at the curved bottom as a gold ornate ornamentation is under red semi-circle part of the cross-guard while the grip itself is white and thin, with a golden decorated top and a pointy sword pommel.
"So this is the sacred sword," Eve says.
She then grabs the handle of the sword with both her hands.
"Are you ready?" Merlina asks.
"Ready for what?" Eve asks.
"This will be a long journey ahead of you. You must find a way to free King Arthur from the power the scabbard possess. Once you pull the sword, there's no turning back," Merlina says.
Eve says, "I think I understand, but like you said, the king, the kingdom, and everyone who lives here is in danger. And you said I might be the only one who could do it."
Eve then begins to tug on the sword along with a gold light surrounding the sword as a blue glow comes from Eve's chest, not knowledge by her. Soon, Eve pulls the sword out of the stone, and she has a look of it.
"You know, this sword is actually kind of cool," Eve says.
"It goes by the name Caliburn," Merlina says.
"Cool name. But… I think being stuck in the stone kind of made it a little worse for wear, but I think we can still get it shaped and polished up," Eve says.
Suddenly, a face appears on the sword and says, "You are correct my dear."
Eve becomes surprised with yelp and drops the sword. She then picks it up to see that it has a face, green eyes and a mouth.
"You are the chosen one? You don't seem like a knight… but you seem to possess some skills on one," The sword, Caliburn says.
"Um thank you. My name is Eve. It's nice to meet you, Caliburn," Eve says.
Suddenly, Merlina says, "The sword has a mind of its own. It selects its bearer."
"I suppose. I never met a talking sword before. This is new, and yet kind of weird for me," Eve says.
"Well then, brace yourself, for I shall train you until you are worthy!" Caliburn says.
Eve nods her head, "Sure. But such as you know, I'm a fast learner."
"Hmm, I see," Caliburn says, but looks at Eve with curiosity.
Suddenly, Eve senses something and turns her head to see King Arthur who is riding on his flying horse and has the scabbard and sword.
Eve holds out Caliburn and her own sword, "Well. It looks like I'm going to have a crash course starting with battling King Arthur."
"Best not to underestimate him. I can sense great dark powers coming from him," Claiburn says.
"Yes. And it looks like he's not going to let us leave this easily," Merlina says.
Eve prepares herself to fight against King Arthur, and plans on whatever is causing him to go on a reign of terror.
