Eve and the Black Knight Saga Episode 6: Eve the Hedgehog, Knight of the Wind
Time has gone by, and Eve along with Caliburn and Jazz arrive at an area called the Molten Mine. What interests them to see that the village here has a river of lava and train tracks and cars around the area.
"Wow! This place sure looks rather hot," Eve says.
"Indeed. The Molten mines even have a river of lava," Caliburn says.
"We better search around and stop the Knights of the Underworld that might be around here," Eve says.
"Indeed, Caliburn says.
Then says, "And remember to keep your eyes out for Sir Percival. There might be a possibility that you'll meet up with her."
"I'll keep that in mind," Eve says.
Eve begins to use her speed to go around town. Of course, it doesn't take long for Eve to find the Knights of the Underworld, or perhaps they're the ones who found her. Eve takes action and uses Caliburn to help attack the monstrous knights. Once Eve is able to defeat them, they all disappear in a puff of smoke.
"Of course, they decide to send a welcome party for us," Eve says with a grin.
"Chao Chao," Jazz says with glee.
"Do save the jokes until later?" Caliburn questions.
"Yeah yeah. Let's continue traveling across this lava town," Eve says.
Eve then continues with her travels across the Molten Mine town. They also had to fight the evil Knights of the Underworld and rescue any people who have been attacked. Eve continues to fight and rescue people who are in trouble. Eve slashes and cuts her sword through the Knights of the Underworld and they disappear in a puff of smoke. They continue to travel across town and soon reach the area that is close to a volcanic area. Down the cliffs is a giant river of lava.
"Well, it looks like this place is a massive hot spot," Eve says.
"Is this really the time for a little humor?" Caliburn asks.
"I'm not joking. This place has a lot of volcanoes around, and there is a giant lava that looks like a river full, or maybe a large lake," Eve says.
"I suppose you're right. But we must keep our guard up. The Knights of the Underworld of the Knights of the Round Table could be around here," Caliburn says.
Eve looks ahead and says, "Don't look down, but I think we just found the last Knight of the Round Table."
The three look forward to seeing someone standing on a rock and appear to have been waiting for them. From the appearance, this being is a knight and must be the Knight of the Round Table. The knight is a familiar lavender, violet, and white feline with gold eyes. She is wearing a golden hair tie, gray and purple metal forehead visor with sky blue gem, gray coat-like torso armor with golden hemline, violet shirt, gray gauntlets, white tights, gray lower leg armor, gray high heeled metal shoes with dark pink toe cap.
She is also holding a sword that looks like a rapier. It has a long, thin double-edged silver blade, a golden cup hilt decorated with lines and a golden knuckle bow extending from the rim of the cup hilt to the sword's golden and pointy pummel, and it has a white and straight grip.
Eve thinks, "Wow! The one that Percival resembles, she looks like Blaze. I haven't seen her in a long time. Not since she came to Mobius because she was searching for the Sol Emeralds."
Suddenly, Eve hears Percival says, "I am Percival, Knight of the Round Table, servant of King Arthur. State your name and your master!"
"I'm Eve! Eve the Hedgehog! I have no master except the wind that blows free!" Eve says.
"Very well, Eve, Knight of the Wind! Prepare... for battle!" Percival says, and points her sword towards her.
Eve brings out her sword and is in a fighting position, "Bring it on!"
Eve and Percival prepare to battle against each other.
"Now I shall test your skill, Sir Knight," Percival says.
"Oh, I'm going to show you my skills. Just wait what I can do," Eve says.
Eve and Percival charge towards each other and they both begin by clashing their swords at one another. They both gently left their swords as their blades touched one another. Soon, both of the knights begin their fight. Percival is able to push Eve back, but Eve jumps back and slides on the ground a bit. Percival charges and tries to attack, but Eve uses Caliburn to repel the attack and fights back.
Percival comments, "Impressive, O Knight of the Wind."
"You're not bad yourself," Eve says.
"Indeed, but sword skills aren't my only skills," Percival says.
She spins into a tornado to create powerful fire around her, much to Eve's surprise.
Eve thinks, "So she can use the power of fire like Blaze. If she can use it with her flames, then I can use my Chaos Control."
Eve then brings out her other sword and activates its power. Eve charges and is able to attack Percival. Percival also does good with using her sword and her flames to help repel the attack, but Eve's power has proven to be strong. Soon, they both have their swords collide with one another.
"I must admit, you are very skillful, but do you truly think you can match my swordsmanship?" Percival says.
"I don't think, I know,"Eve says.
Eve then fights with both of her swords as Jazz watches while sitting on Eve's backpack. Both Eve and the Knight of the Grail continue to battle it out. Percival is fast, but Eve is just as fast so they are able to match one another. They both slash their swords against one another as they use their speed and power to give them the advantage.
Eve says to herself, "She's fast, I'll give her that!"
Percival then turns into a flaming tornado and spins towards Eve. Eve quickly uses her sword to prevent the attack. Eve refuses to allow Percival to push her down and her chest begins to glow a blue color again. Eve then uses Caliburn to attack Percival. Then uses her Master Emerald sword to attack back. Soon, Eve is able to defeat Percival, much to her surprise, but is able to accept it.
"Well done, Sir Eve," Percival says as she backs away towards the edge of the cliff.
Suddenly, the cliff begins to crumble under Percival's feet and begins to fall towards the lava."
Eve gasps, "Percival!"
Eve acts quick and jumps off the cliff then pierce Caliburn to the rocky wall and grabs Percival by her hand. Percival looks down to see the lava lake distance down. Then looks up to see Eve grabbing on to her with one hand as she has the sword in the other.
Eve sighs in relief, "Whew... That was close."
Confused, Percival asks, "Why... Why did you…"
"I guess you could say that whim is my other master. Mainly, it's what I do, even though you act like I'm your enemy," Eve says.
"Save the hugs and kisses for later," Caliburn says.
Percival blushes a little to hear the comment.
"What?" Eve asks.
"For now, we must focus on getting us back on to the ground floor," Caliburn says.
"You're right about that. We don't want to be hanging here all day," Eve says.
"Yes. And we must be careful," Percival says.
Eve says, "I actually have an idea."
Then turns to Percival, "I'll swing you up and you stab the sword to the wall. Then I'll remove my sword and you'll be the same thing with me."
"That sounds like the idea is worth a try," Percival says.
"Then let's do it. I don't want to know if this lava rises up to spout up like a volcano," Eve says.
"Yes. So let's start right away," Eve says.
Eve swings Percival up and she stabs her sword to the wall. Eve then removes Caliburn and Percival swings her up. She then stabs Caliburn to the wall. The two then continue to swing at each other and stab their swords to the wall. As they perform their climbing technique, they begin to climb higher and higher up the cliff. After their rough climb, all three are able to reach the top of the cliff and climb up back.
Eve sighs, "Finally, we made it back up."
"Chao Chao," Jazz happily says, and hugs Eve as she rubs Eve's cheek with her own.
Eve giggles and pets Jazz on the head, "It's okay Jazz. I'm okay."
Percival looks at Eve as she sees her smiling and hugging the little Chao. She can't help, but shows a calm smile on her face.
Eve turns to Percival, "Are you okay?"
"I'll be fine," Percival says.
Then says, "I cannot thank you enough for saving me, and I owe you and your sword my life."
Then kneels and bows to Eve, "If there is anything I can do to repay you, I swore to honor that promise."
Eve takes Percival's hand and has her standing up.
She smiles and says, "Oh, you don't need to do anything for me. But um… if you don't mind… you don't mind if I could borrow your sword. I promise I'll give it back when I'm done."
"My sword, Laevatein? Mind if I ask why?" Percival asks.
Eve takes a deep breath and explains, "I know that you're one of the Knights of the Round Table, and I know that you are loyal to King Arthur, but as of now, he's really the one who needs help. You see, Nimue gave him the scabbard that was supposed to have an evil spirit imprisoned inside and supposed to be kept locked up. However, the spirit took over your ruler and Merlina had to find a way to save him. That is why she summoned me and said to see Nimue, since she was the one who gave him the scabbard."
"I see. That does explain why the king has changed and so does the kingdom," Sir Percival says.
"I'm afraid so. The reason why I need your sword was because with the three sacred swords, you, Lancelot, and Gawain possessed and with Caliburn, they'll be powerful enough to blunt the immortality that protects him. Then I can defeat him and save King Arthur, but after that, we must find a way to destroy the scabbard," Eve says.
"I see. That explains why I heard you collected the swords of the knights you've defeated," Percival says.
"Well, to be honest, Lancelot left him behind. I think he did on purpose because he expected me to give him the 'final blow.' As for Gawain's… well… he thinks he's been disgraced and thinks death is the way to retain his honor. I kind of confiscated the swords from him," Eve says.
Percival smiles and says, "I see…"
Percival then gives Eve the sword and she puts it in her backpack with the other swords.
"Thank you. But, I do like to give you your sword, and I also like to give Lancelot and Gawain their swords too. Do you know where I can find you at?" Eve replies.
"I must agree. Do you have a meeting place in mind?" Caliburn says.
"Hmm, I believe the best place we shall meet is Castle Camelot. Once you also rescue the king, you can bring him there as well. I'll let Lancelot and Gawain know where we shall meet," Percival says.
"Thank you, Percival. It will save me the trouble of finding them," Eve says.
"Yes. I must say, for an apprentice knight, you are very worthy of becoming one," Percvial says.
Eve blushes, "Thank you."
Just then Caliburn says, "Actually Eve, you're not an apprentice…. Not any more."
"Hmm, what do you mean?" Eve asks, confused.
"Chao Chao," Jazz adds.
Caliburn says with a proud smile, "Eve the Hedgehog... You have mastered the code of chivalry. From this day forth, you shall be Sir Eve, Knight of the Wind."
Eve is surprised to hear Caliburn's statement.
Eve smiles and says, "Thank you, Caliburn."
"You're welcome Sir Eve," Caliburn says.
"I suppose this is where we part. I thank you again for saving my life, and I wish you luck on your quest. I believe that you might be able to rescue our king," Percival says
"Okay. I promise to meet you at the castle as soon as I can," Eve says.
With that, Eve and Percival go their separate ways to continue their missions and other tasks.
"Now that we have all the sacred swords, now we must defeat King Arthur," Caliburn says.
"Yeah. Question is, how are we going to find him?" Eve asks.
Suddenly, a familiar voice calls out, "Eve!"
Eve turns around to see a tornado appear and soon disappears. Out of the tornado is Merlina, the young wizard.
"Merlina!" Eve happily says.
"Hello Eve. I saw all that transpired in my reflecting pool. I have no words to thank you for all you have done," Merlina says.
"Yeah, but it's not over yet!" Eve says.
"Sir Eve is right. We must still defeat King Arthur, and find a way to destroy the scabbard," Caliburn says.
"The King is on an island known as Avalon."
"I remember reading that in my book once. It's in the middle of a large lake," Eve says.
"Correct. You have become a fine knight," Merlina says.
"Thank you, Merlina," Eve says.
"Good luck, Sir Eve! I'll await you at Castle Camelot," Merlina says.
Suddenly, Merlina feels a strange pain on her chest and has her hand clutching it. Eve, Caliburn, and Jazz are shocked to see Merlina feeling pain and falling to her knees.
"Merlina, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Eve asks, as she helps Merlian.
Merlina looks up to see Eve, but her appearance changes to a blue hedgehog with green eyes and peach muzzle.
He says, "Merlina, are you okay? Merlina? Merlina?"
Merlina softly mutters, "Ar-Arthur…"
Suddenly, her vision clears to see Eve instead of the boy called Arthur.
"Merlina, are you feeling alright? Do you need me to take you to the castle?" Eve asks.
Merlina takes a deep breath and says with a smile, "Not to worry, Eve. I'll be fine. My magic can help me get there."
"If you're sure. But if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask," Eve says.
"Thank you for your concern, but I'll be fine," Merlina says.
"Okay. Now. I still have King Arthur to take care of and I'll be sure to save him in no time," Eve says.
Eve takes Caliburn and Jazz to Avalon Island to find King Arthur and begin with the final battle.
Merlina sadly sighs, "Oh Arthur, why… Why did things have to turn this way? Why did our fates have to leave for this. Don't worry, I promise, I do whatever in my power to save our kingdom and help create our ideal world."
Merlina opens her eyes as tears have fallen down her face and her eyes begin to glow yellow.
"Yes. We shall have our ideal world, once Eve brings me the scabbard," Merlina says.
Eve continues to use her super speed at top speed as she has the sacred sword in her backpack, Jazz sitting on her head, and Caliburn in her hands. She continues to run at super speed, and plans to stop King Arthur and the scabbard's dark power once and for all.
