Kara sat by his bed.

"What is your name? Your real name. You don't have to tell me your alias living on Earth."

"My . . . birth name?"

Kara nodded, "I'll introduce myself first. I'm Kara Zor-El, daughter of Alura In-Ze and Zor-El. She was the Judge of Krypton. Its Leader. She loved her people, as did I. I was sent to Earth to live as the last Daughter of Krypton, along with my cousin, Kal-El, the Man of Steel, Superman, the last Son of Krypton."

She heard his breathing stop. Why?

"Now, it's your turn," Kara gestured towards him.

"Oh, uhm, can you give me a moment?"

Kara just gave him a subtle nod and walked out of the room.

"I'll be back in fifteen minutes."

She spotted Alex coming her way and fell into step beside her, "How's it going with, uh, Valor?"

Kara simply shrugged, "I'm waiting for an answer. For now. though, he knows my birth name. He seemed really shocked at hearing it. I'm not quite sure why."

"Maybe you were well-known on Daxam, or at least, your name was."

"Maybe, but I highly doubt it," Kara slowed to a halt, "He also seemed to recognise my family's coat-of-arms."

"Like I said, maybe your family's name and sigil could've been quite well-known on Daxam. I mean, the two planets do have a feud. Maybe they took your family name to drag it through the mud. Or you could always ask him about it," Alex said, giving Kara as comforting of a smile she could muster.

"Right. Speaking of which, how long's it been since we started this conversation?"

"It's been . . . " Alex glanced at her watch, "fifteen minutes."

"Oh. I'm supposed to be back there now," Kara embraced her sister, "Thanks, sis!"

As she zoomed back to the room, Valor looked up, "Hey, you'relate."

She shot him a look, "Seriously?"

His eyes flashed with what seemed to be vague recognition. As if he'd seen that face before, seen herbefore.

But that was impossible. She'd only just met him, right?

"So, Daxam, huh?"

He gave a nod.

"Don't you hate me? Hate my planet?"

Valor just gave a smile, "There was a time when I wouldhave hated Kryptonians, any sort. Young, old, male, female, I had just grown up in that way. I did hate some Kryptonians that had left Krypton to live on my home planet, but now, I sorta regret that."

"Sorta?"

"Well, when I was about 13, my King and Queen had met with the Kryptonian Leaders, to put an end to the feud. Both planets have had enough, and they decided it was better to become friends with them. So they did. The planets lived together, harmoniously, in peace, until the destruction of Krypton and the damage done to Daxam."

She seemed confused. She could remember no such thing. When had her parents agreed to that?

"I had fallen for a Kryptonian girl, who was the same age as me, but I haven't seen her since. For years I've been wondering where she had gone to, worrying that she may have perished, but not anymore," Valor stared into her eyes. His cool gaze met with her own fiery one.

"What is your name?"

"That's for me to know, and you to find out," he winked at her, much to her annoyance.

"Well, if you're not going to tell me," Kara said, walking out, "then goodbye."

"Aren't you guys going to let me out?"

"You'll have to stay here to heal for a period of time. Don't expect me to come until you tell me who you are."

To say she felt bad was an understatement, but now, she had just given away her identity to her rival. A rival that wouldn't reveal his.

She groaned in frustration as she collapsed on her bed.

Her mind swam with a thousand questions. Who was he? Did she know him? Had she even met him before?

She turned over, sighing into her pillow.

Just then, she heard the door open.

Kara hurriedly sat up, grabbing her glasses in case. Alex walked in, two pizza boxes clutched in her hand, "Chill. I thought you seemed upset, so I bought some pizza for the both of us."

She rushed to help her sister. Gosh, Alex always knew how to cheer her up. That's why she loved her.

They sat down, Kara beginning to gorge on the pizza.

"Wow, what's going on?"

Kara gulped, and said, with her mouth still half-filled with pizza, "I thought that by sharing my identity with Valor would make him feel more at ease. But now, he knows that Kal is Superman and that I, Kara Zor-El, am Supergirl."

She looked over at the television, which Alex had flicked on, "Sources say that National City's Man of Steel, Valor, has been spotted working with Supergirl. We can safely say that we, and no doubt the Girl of Steel herself, are glad that Supergirl has gotten herself a save at last."

Suddenly, the image of Kara's boss appeared on screen, "Well, I have been and will always be rooting for Supergirl. After all, she isNational City's first and original superhero, though others such as the Martian Manhunter, Guardian and Dreamer have been coming along as well."

Kara beamed, "See! Even Cat's happy for me."

"Of course, she's a part of the Superfriends Team now, isn't she? Plus, even if she isn't, she'd still choose Supergirl."

"True. Anyway, speaking of which, I need to ask you, should I finally tell Lena my identity?"

"I can't tell you what to do. But, do approach carefully if you choose to. You know how Lena can get when she is angry at someone. She can hold a grudge for a long while."

2 days later . . .

"Hey, Lena," Kara said from the balcony.

"Kara," Lena stuttered, rising from her seat, "What brings youhere? Wait, how'd you even get there?"

She gestured for her best friend to sit, "I have to tell you something. But please don't be mad."

"Why would I?"

She sat on the other side of the desk. "Just . . . promise me."

Lena gave her a perplexed look, "Okay. I won't be mad. Now, what did you want to tell me?"

Kara sighed, "I'm the Girl of Steel. I am Supergirl."

"Supergirl?" Lena choked on her glass of water, "How can you be - "

"Let me explain, Lena."

She unbuttoned her shirt slowly, revealing the suit that she wore underneath. She removed her glasses and looked at Lena, a worried expression written on her face.

"Wha - but you - "

"I know, it looks bad. But I'm gonna tell you."

"I feel bad hiding my identity from you. But I did it for your safety. If a villain finds out, they may hunt you down to get to me. You, or anyone that knows. Perhaps everyone!"

"Wait, everyone?"

Kara swallowed.

"How many, Kara? How many?"

"Almost everyone I know," Kara winced at Lena's tone, letting out a huge sigh, "some I never even told."

"So, I'm the last to find out that Kara Danvers is Supergirl. That my own best friend is National City's hero?"

Her eyes began filling with tears. Kara just sat there, "A-are you angry at me?"

"Of course I am!" Lena took in a deep breath and wiped her tears off, "But I promised not to be."

Kara didn't know whether to be glad or to be worried.

"Why wouldn't I be angry that the two people that I liked are the same person? That they are one in the same?"

In that instant, upon hearing those words, Kara's heart sank.

[A/N: Don't worry, this isa Karamel story, and I am NOT a SuperCorp shipper. But I won't ruin their beautiful friendship. I promise that Kara will find out soon and the actual Karamel scenes would start soon. And I want to say that for the next few weeks, I am really busy with school, especially exams. Once I finish my exams, I will try to update this story!]
