Prologue: We seek a change

One thousand years ago

Superstition and the sword ruled

It was a time of darkness. It was a world of fear. It was the age... of gargoyles

Stone by day...warriors by night

We were betrayed by the humans we had sworn to protect. Frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years.

Now here in Manhatten….the spell is broken! AND WE LIVE AGAIN!

A blue/grey skinned winged creature with red hair walked out of a dust cloud, eyes flaring red as she looked down at her fallen enemy. "It would seem that this is the end of you, Goliath."

Goliath's eyes flared white as he looked up at Demona "that has yet to be seen." jumping to his feet he lunged at her aiming to finish this fight

Demona flared her wings as she readied her talons to slash at him

Mere feet away, they both froze in place as the world around them gained a blue sparkling mist

From what seemed to be beyond the ist three women walked up to them before they began to walk around in a perfect circle of the two gargoyles. Each woman looked identical to the others with the difference being that one had hair the color of the yellow sun, one with hair as white as the purest snow, and the last with hair as dark as the deep abyss.

"Many times have we seen these events."

"And not one differs from the others."

"The traitorous actions of one.."

"...Effects the others…"

"...and leads them…."

"...to a fate…."

"...that could be avoided…."

"To save the lives of many…."

"...we must find one…."

"That defies fate."

Naruto Uzumaki was making his way through the forest, on his way to a location given to him by Tsunade as he was tasked in taking out a group of bandits that had camped themselves where they could ambush travelers. "You would think after the war, people would be able to live in peace."

"Quit whining. It's thanks to these that you at least have something to do. If it weren't for these you would be sitting at home eating ramen all day."

"I would not!"

"Oh really? Then what would you be doing?"

"...training?" Naruto did not receive a response but he just knew that Kurama was rolling his eyes at his response. Since the war had ended, he had basically become one of the strongest humans in the world. He looked down at his left hand to see the crescent moon shape he got from Hagaromo on his palm. When he had lost his right arm from his fight with Sasuke, he thought that he had lost the power but it seemed the mark of Hagaromo had merely shifted from his dominant hand to his non-dominant one. This meant that he had all the power that was bestowed to him though he still had to get used to the arm Tsunade had made for him. Though speaking of the woman, he could not help but think that something was odd with her. Not anything major but the way she seemed adamant that he be the one to take this mission alone just seemed…..off. But he was sure that there was no genjutsu put on her since the Anbu in the room were all there and Shizune told him that she was with her the whole time.

He was brought out of his thoughts when he saw that he was approaching where the bandits were said to be. He landed on a branch and looked down at the spot, only to see that it was just an open field. He shifted his gaze over the field and saw that there were no signs of anyone there. He pulsed his chakra to see if there was a genjutsu on the area but nothing. He jumped down and walked into the field while looking around. "Is this the right place?" he pulled out the mission scroll and looked it over to see that he was indeed at the right spot but the only thing around him were grass and flowers. Well, those and a large tree in the center of the field. He walked closer to the tree while keeping his guard up. 'Kurama, I have a bad feeling about this.'

"Same here. Be careful."

Suddenly an odd mist moved around him and he immediately pulled out a kunai, ready to take out whoever was using the mist jutsu. But instead of a sudden attack coming from it, three women casually walked out of it "who are you?" he did not get a straight answer from them, instead, they seemed to speak as if he wasn't there

"One who defies Fate…"

"...and turned the tides of war…."

"...You are the one…"

"We seek."

Naruto watched as the three women grew closer to him but instead of attacking, they formed a circle around him while clasping each other hands. 'What are they doing?'

"Be ready for anything. They are up to something."

"A fate defied in this world's cast…"

"...yet another must change in our world's past."

"Shed the skin of human born…"

"And take on the shape of enemies form."

"Trials and hardships you will face…"

"But accomplish much at your pace…"

"Though power held at such a peak.."

"Your self and strength shall for now sleep."

"Allow yourself a new clean slate and become the one to change their fate"

Naruto did not know what they were doing but as they finished this odd chant, he was enveloped in a bright light that caused him to feel his strength leave him 'Kurama! What the hell…..' he lost consciousness as his body began to shrink and change

"Naruto!" Kurama tried to wake his friend up but whatever it was that the three women did was causing him to lose consciousness as well 'damn it'

Naruto was then encased in an oval-shaped ball of light before it disappeared from sight

"He shall bring great change to our world."

"Yes. but what changes we have yet to see."

"Come sisters. We have stayed here long enough."

The three then disappeared into the very mist they came out of

This is what happens when I go to Disney plus and watch the series after so long. New story ideas. They just keep coming

I had to put that bit at the beginning because the opening to the show Gargoyles is just too epic not to use

The weird sisters' dialogue should give a hint to what will happen to Naruto

Anyways hope you liked this prologue

If it was not made clear, this is Post-war Naruto and he still has the power Hagaromo gave him. Not sure how to really implement it into the story but I'll think of something
