Chapter 24

.

November 2nd

.

It had been almost 24 hours since Sydney Prescott's body was found in the woods, and the news was still focused on that. They were also reporting on Amy's dissapearence. Whether or not she was a suspect, or possible victim, that the news didn't seem to know. Amy was watching this in a diner, while eating breakfast. She had changed her hair color, was wearing a cap supporting a local sports team, noone noticed her. Still she had her real driver's lisence in case she was questioned. As Amy ate her breakfast a man came and sat next to her. This man was her mentor, her friend, Brandon James.

.

Brandon: Is it over?

Amy: Hanson's dead, Johnny's heading for Death Row, and David's lost his job and his family rejected him. Amanda and Greg are dead, I'd say my work is done.

Brandon: And Sydney?

Amy: She wanted to die.

Brandon: I believe you. I hope you covered your tracks well.

Amy: I did. And what of you, did you have the nerve to see your beloved yet?

Brandon: No. Maggie has enough to deal with. I had hoped we could at least mourn our daughter together. But her daughter was killed by her other daughter. I can't complicate her life further. I had hoped I could train Piper, help her to control her psychopathic instincts better than I did. But it just got her and many others killed. And then, I just returned to old habits. Kiernan had it coming, but that guard was just in my way. You've done better at managing your revenge than any of us.

Amy: Thanks, and I'm done. My work is complete, hopefully I can avoid the police from now on.

Brandon: Take care Amy.

Amy: You too Brandon.
