Two days later, Mon-El and Kara walked side-by-side to the location that Kara had stated. The Daxamite had shown up at Kara's door as she was getting ready, and suggested that they make their way there together.
"I hope you and Halk Kar don't spark some kind of fight." Kara murmured, though she knew very well that Mon-El could hear her.
Mon-El growled, jealousy getting the better of him, "I'll try, Kara."
"Speaking of which, there he is!" Kara pointed, and Mon-El refused to look up.
"Do you want to introduce yourself, or shall I?" She stopped a few feet away. Mon-El squared his shoulders - an animal ready to claim his mate - and smiled at her, "I will."
To say Kara was worried was an understatement.
She was terrified of what they may do.
"Hey, at least he's not Mxy." Kara said, and Mon-El groaned, remembering how a few days prior to meeting the Thoronian, Kara had an admirer from the fifth dimension visit her, Mxyzptlk, who even went as far as embarrassing the poor guy. "Don't remind me."
"I'm just worried you two won't hit it off."
Mon-El gave her a mischievous smirk, and mouthed two words, "No promises." Then, he strode towards the man.
He waved, not directed at anyone. His face fell slightly when he saw who stood next to Kara.
"Hey, Halk Kar. This is . . . " Kara gestured for the Daxamite to take the lead. "Prince Mon-El of Daxam." Mon-El said, puffing out his chest, as if he was trying to intimidate the Thoronian into submission. Halk Kar simply stuck his hand out, "Halk Kar of Thoron. Nice to meet you."
They locked eyes, before they burst into laughter, acting as if they were long-time friends. Kara seemed pleasantly surprised, but saw the darkened look in both males' eyes. She sighed in exasperation. "Let's just go."
Behind the Kryptonian girl, Mon-El looked at Halk Kar. Two can play at that game.
~~~~~~~~
Kara sighed. She had expected this from both males.
Mon-El had openly declared his love for her, and Halk Kar was not hiding it himself.
Her heart pounded in her chest. How was there suddenly two people who liked her, when she herself couldn't figure out her own life?
She dared a look behind. As if on cue, Mon-El and Halk Kar looked at her and smiled, but Kara had seen the unspoken words that the two aliens had exchanged.
She let out a sigh. Hopefully they wouldn't kill each other before they reached Metropolis.
~~~~~~~~
They found a safe area, before they took off, flying in the direction of Metropolis.
Halk Kar was undeniably slower than Kara and Mon-El, which made Mon-El chuckle to himself. Halk Kar was weaker than him!
"Mon-El. A word, please."
The Daxamite reluctantly slowed his pace to match his rival's, giving the man an innocent smile. "Yes, Halk Kar?"
The Thoronian dropped his tone to a whisper, "You like Kara, I like Kara. May the best man win."
Mon-El gave a nod, looking back at his childhood friend. "Game on."
~~~~~~~~
They landed close to a building, and Kara dove into the nearest bush to change.
She guided the two boys toward the building, and Mon-El watched as Kara knocked on the door of a unit.
A raven-haired man answered the door, and Kara embraced him. Mon-El felt a hole in his heart as she turned to the guys. "This is my cousin. Kal-El."
Mon-El stared at him. This was Kal?
I mean, he didget stuck in the Phantom Zone, as did Kara.
"Kal, this is Mon-El and Halk Kar."
His blue eyes were fixed on Mon-El. "You're the Daxamite Kara told me about?"
"All good things, I hope."
"But of course. My cousin never did mention you prior to meeting you."
She smiled awkwardly. "You gonna let us in, or are we going to just stand here?"
"Oh! Right!"
As they walked in, a brunette approached them. "Hey, Kara."
"Hi Lois." She pulled away from the embrace. "This is Mon-El and Halk Kar."
They waved awkwardly, and Kara looked at the married couple.
"So . . . you wanted to tell us something?"
~~~~~~~~
"You . . . what?"
Kal smiled at his cousin. Kara was pleasantly surprised. "If you'd told me earlier, I would have asked Alex to come too!"
"I . . . wanted it to be a surprise." Kal grinned. Kara grinned along with him. "Alright, I'll tell her to come down sometime."
~~~~~~~~
Kal-El, the Man of Steel, the Last Son of Krypton . . . had two healthy baby boys.
Half-Kryptonian, half-human.
Jonathan Kent, named after his human Father, and Lara Lane-Kent . . . or Jon-El and Lar-El.
She stroked the foreheads of the two sleeping baby boys.
She smiled. "But how did you . . . you know?"
Kal smiled. "Oh! We went to Argo City. The children are also unable to use their powers there."
Kara stared at him. "Did you say . . . Argo City?"
Kal nodded.
Her home was still there. All this time, she thought it had been destroyed.
"We went to find the possibility of a planet that contains some form of energy that would not hurt humans and temporarily take away the powers of a Kryptonian."
"A-Argo City is still there?"
"What do you mean, 'still'?"
"Argo City was one of the biggest cities on Krypton, Kal. That's my home. Ourhome." Kara blinked back the tears that were forming in her eyes.
"No wonder they were all gawking at the logo."
Kara sniffled, "Was . . . was my Mother there?"
"Sorry, Kara. I'm not familiar with anyone."
Kara gave her cousin a hug. "I have to see it for myself. I'm glad you got to see what our home was like."
Kara turned to the babies. "They're so adorable."
Just then, the Kryptonians heard a loud crash. They turned, and found that Mon-El had punched Halk Kar, who had flown and crashed into a wall.
Kara looked at Kal awkwardly. "I'm so sorry about them. I'll pay for the damages."
"There's . . . no need. This happens a lot when I accidentally move too fast."
Kara looked him over. "I insist."
"Alright then."
~~~~~~~~
Mon-El couldn't believe his ears.
The Thoronian had the audacity to say that he was the one who would accompany Kara to Argo City, just moments after they had found out the information.
"I know that place better than you, and Iknew Kara longer than you. Better than you."
"I think that this is Kara's decision, and we'd have to agree to whatever she decides. I would love to accompany Kara and see Krypton with my own eyes."
Mon-El felt . . . rage. Rage and jealousy. No, he wasn't jealous, he told himself. Then, he swung his arm.
He couldn't focus as his fist connected with Halk Kar's chest.
"Boys!"
The sound of babies crying filled their ears and he saw Kara shoot a 'sorry' look at Lois Lane. Then, she grabbed them both and hauled them out of the room.
Well, at least now he knows that Halk Kar was weaker than him.
~~~~~~~~
"Mind telling me what happened back there?"
The two lowered their heads, not wanting to embarrass themselves in front of the girl that they had a crush on. At least, it seemedlike Halk Kar also had a crush on her.
"We . . . got into a fight deciding who to accompany you to Argo City." Halk Kar hung his head lower. "I started it."
"Sorry, Kara." Both boys chorused.
"I don't see why you two had to fight about it. You're both coming with me."
The boys looked at each other, shocked.
"So pack your stuff. We leave next week."
~~~~~~~~
As Alex helped Kara pack a small suitcase with necessities, the Kryptonian heaved a sigh.
She wanted to bring Mon-El as he was her very first friend. One she deeply cared for.
But she also wanted to bring Halk Kar. Give him the chance to at least set foot on her homeworld. He'd wanted to visit Krypton, after all.
She had heard the conversation. She didhave super-hearing. She released a sigh as she thought back on how Halk Kar was only expressing his opinion.
Mon-El had overreacted.
Or perhaps, he misunderstood.
Kara knelt by her suitcase and prayed that there wouldn't be another similar situation.
Much less on Krypton.

A/N: As of this chapter being released I only have five more papers till the end of the examinations! So, I may have another idea. How would any of you feel about a few dimension-hopping chapters? If I do choose to do this, should I include Barry? This story takes place in my own world, so it is possible to visit Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis situations, in comics, in cartoons, in movies or even in live action. Plus, in my story, Kara never met other versions of Superman, so what do you think? Or should this be in another book?
Or perhaps, a Bizzaro chapter or two? I don't like this option as much as the previous one, but I have a few ideas for both. I'm open to suggestions!
