Kara didn't know if she was excited or scared.

How much would have changed since she had left.

She wasn't sure how to respond to the changes.

She grabbed her luggage and brought them to the D.E.O., ensuring that no one saw her fly across the city.

"You sure you aren't coming, Alex?"

"I have to stay here to protect Earth, but I hope to be able to visit Krypton one day."

"Yeah, maybe one day." She gave her sister a hug. "Seeya, sis."

And with that, they climbed aboard the ship that lay in the D.E.O., flying off into the sunset.

~~~~~~~~
As the trio disembarked from the ship, they looked around.
Kara couldn't help but notice the sights that she hadn't seen in years. She hadn't set foot on Krypton since she'd left.
She looked up. There was some form of a barrier that prevented them from entering the zone that clearly had many houses.
It was so different from the Krypton back then.
Suddenly, a child looked their way and saw them with the ship behind them.
He screamed, pointing in their direction.
Guards began to pour out of the house closest to them, and Kara stood before the boys, reaching out both arms to prevent them from entering.
"We have no powers here, okay? Just . . . stay calm. I'll do the talking."
The woman that walked out had the Kryptonian at a loss for words.
"Who are you, intruder? Are you here to attack us?"
The woman looked so, very familiar. She reminded Kara of . . . her Mother.
Kara held back a sob, hands rising to her mouth. Taking a deep breath, she regained her composure.
"I-I'm Kara Zor-El. I'm from Krypton, but my Mother had sent me to Earth to protect me when Krypton exploded. This is Mon-El of Daxam and Halk Kar of Thoron."
By the time Kara had finished speaking, the woman had gone pale. "K-Kara?"
Her gut was right.
"Yes, Mother?"
The force field dissipated, and Alura rushed in for a hug despite the protests of the guards.
"I thought you were gone!"
"Come, we have lots to talk about."
"Oh, by the way, that's our ship. We don't want it damaged." Kara grinned. "It belongs to a friend."
Alura smiled. "Of course." A pointed look at the guards sent them running to 'tow the ship', as Kara heard.
~~~~~~~~

As they walked into the tent, a familiar voice called out from within one of the rooms. "Alura? What happened?"

Kara's Mother just answered in a cool and calm voice, "I think you should come and see for yourself."

A figure clad in a dark silk-and-satin dress walked out. Upon seeing the guests, her eyebrows raised slightly. "We have guests?"

Mon-El recognised who it was instantly. "Mother?"

"Don't tell me - Mon-El?"

He rushed forward to embrace his Mother. "You've grown up. I didn't even get to see you."

"It's alright, Mother. I'm here now."

Kara smiled at her own Mother. "Is . . . is Dad here? Or Uncle Jor-El?"

"Kal didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"Your Father . . . he died while saving the many citizens of Krypton. Thanks to him and Jor-El, we have the structures you see now. He was, after all, the most highly respected scientist on Krypton."

"He was highly skilled." Kara looked over her shoulder, teary-eyed, at the 'new' Queen Rhea. She dropped into a curtsy. "Hello, Queen Rhea."

"You must be Mon-El's girlfriend." she looked him over, then at Alura. "The forced marriage with your daughter no longer stands. He's found himself a new lover. She isn't as beautiful as I'd hoped, but I guess she'll do."

"Mother . . . that isKara Zor-El."

She glanced back at her friend, a term Kara never thought she'd use to describe the relationship of these two women. "Oh, pardon me! You look so different! But you are just as polite and respectful as I remember, Kara."

"Thank you, Queen Rhea."

"You can just call me Rhea. Daxam no longer stands, and here I am a nobody."

They looked at their third companion. "Who's this? A friend of yours?"

Halk Kar stepped forward. "Hello . . . I am Halk Kar. I have come to accompany Kara and Mon-El to visit Argo City. I am Thoronian. Can I please ask if my parents have made it here after the chaos of that year?"

"You can check the records," Alura gestured towards the young man, "Follow me."

"Thank you. I can see where Kara gets her looks and mannerisms from . . . "

As he followed the Kryptonian leader, Kara turned to the Queen of the Daxamites. "Well, shall we?"

~~~~~~~~
"I'm so glad you both found loving families . . . even though I told you to find Kara, Mon-El."
Mon-El smiled awkwardly - and Kara gave him a pat on the back. "Fate still brought us back together."
"I suppose it did."
"You've met Kal. right? What do you think of him?"
"He is quite handsome. I can see why the girl fell for him."
Kara grinned as she heard that. "They are a very happy couple."
An awkward silence passed between them as Halk Kar and Alura walked into the room. He looked upset.
"My parents . . . " he muttered, "they never made it here."
Kara placed a hand on his shoulder, "It's alright. We're here for you."
He used his sleeve to wipe his tears away, "You're right. Thank you, Kara."
Alura cleared her throat and Kara pulled away. "How's your life on Earth?"
"My life has been pretty good! I've got a loving family. Eliza Danvers, and my Earth sister, Alexandra Danvers, but she'd prefer Alex."
The Kryptonian was glad that she had revised the languages spoken on Daxam, Krypton and even Thoron. Through calls and webchats, she had also taught Mon-El.
"They sound lovely, daughter."
"They really are, and I'd love for you to meet them one day!"
"Yeah, that sounds great."
As they sat there, they chatted about many things. Being a superhero, having extraordinary powers . . .
"We'll be staying for about a week, Mom."
~~~~~~~~

A week later, Kara wept as they boarded the ship back to Earth.

She hugged her Mother, "We'll be back soon."

"I'll visit you if you visit me."

They bid their farewells as Alura and Rhea watched, teary-eyed as the ship flew into the distance.

A/N: I know you all probably wanted more interesting things for them to do when they were on Argo, but I had already written everything I could think of. I have decided to make the dimension-hopping another book entirely - to deal with some stuff that could come next, especially since it would likely be many, many chapters long, andmay be involved with what's to come in the next few chapters. But other than that, I may have a Bizarro chapter and some others, then this story is going to come to a close.But after this story ends you can look out for the dimension-hopping story. It will likely close some gaps that may or may not be confusing and/or serve as plot points.The next chapter is a pretty long one (easily more than 2000 words), so I have two options:1; split it into two (or more) separate chapters2; write out the entire chapterI don't mind either, writing it as a whole would cause the time taken for release to be slightly longer (so it may not be next week), but shorter chapters would allow for faster releases, but may or may not contain the full experience. Ultimately, it is the readers' choices.I posted this chapter earlier that I initially intended as I do want your opinions and also to tell you that I have an amazing next chapter and to give you time to decide. Keep in mind that although I love writing, especially this story, I'm still human and despite most of my exams being over, I am still very tired. Thank you!
