Hello and get ready for some undeniably amazing Solangelo! We have Ruth to thank for this, seeing as she is the author of today's story. We are not Rick Riordan so we don't own these beloved characters. Today is December 7th, which means 18 days til Christmas! I hope you enjoy!

"Neeks!" Will shouts. "Come here!"

Nico walks out from the kitchen of their apartment with some cookies for them.

"I'm right here," Nico tells his boyfriend. Will makes grabby hands for him.

Nico rolls his eyes, walking across their living room. He sets the cookies on the coffee table before climbing into Will's waiting arms. Will props himself up against the armrest, so he's in a somewhat sitting position. Nico rest his head on Will's chest. He sighs contently.

The lights in the apartment are off, the only source of light being the Christmas tree they set up. Soft instrumental music plays from the TV set up while the gas fireplace is running.

Will runs his fingers through Nico's hair as Nico nibbles on one of the cookies.

"You know, my Mom always used to hold me like this and sing 'Silent Night' to me," Will says quietly, though their the only ones in the apartment. It just feels right to whisper.

Nico hums. "That's a nice tradition."

"Yeah. Every single Christmas." Will says. He stares at the tree. "I would just sit there and listen to her play her guitar, singing. I miss it."

Nico looks up at him. Will smiles.

"But it's all good if I got you." Will tells him.

"That's so cheesy, William." Nico tells him.

"I'm only cheesy for you, Sunshine," Will tells him, earning an eye roll.

Nico goes back to eating his cookie, resting his head on Will's chest.

'Silent Night' comes on with no one singing. On other days, Will would be freaked out about that because he was just thinking about the song. But not today.

Will starts singing the song, continuing to run his fingers through Nico's hair. Nico just listens to the voice of his boyfriend. Will thinks about his mother in Nashville. This is his first Christmas without her. Even with all the demigod things, he always went back to Nashville for Christmas. Always. No exception.

When the song is over, Will places a kiss on Nico's head.

"That was beautiful," Nico says, looking up at Will. Will gives a soft smile.

"Thanks, Nico."

Nico cuddles back up into Will, having his boyfriend wrap a blanket around both of them. The music continues. They don't speak, just lay there in comfortable silence. The house is silent besides the music.

Nico ends up falling asleep. Will moves hair from his boyfriend's face. He waits some more to make sure Nico is fully asleep before gently picking him up and carrying him to their bed.

Will climbs into bed, pulling Nico close to him. He falls asleep, holding Nico tight, just like his mother used to hold him.
