Hello! We have a Frazel story today! I love Frazel. They are one of my favorite ships. They are so underrated it's sad. Anyways, I wrote this one, so I hope you enjoy! Disclaimer: Ruth and I don't own these characters.

Christmas Countdown: Today is December 8th which means 17 days until Christmas!

PS. Sorry to all those who don't celebrate Christmas. But seeing as this is a 25 days until Christmas sort of deal, it only makes sense that I have a Christmas countdown. Sorry. /

"Frank, stop laughing!" I chide my fiancé. "It's not my fault I'm so short!" I stretch and go on my tip toes to hang an ornament on one of the higher branches of the Christmas tree.

"Sorry, sorry," he stops laughing, "but I mean, only the bottom half of the tree has any decorations. It's a funny sight."

"Well then get your tall self over here and finish the top!" I turn and face him. "Don't just stand there, help me!"

"I'm coming," he walks over from the couch. He picks up the dangling lights and finishes wrapping them around the tree.

"I'm getting hot chocolate, it's too cold in here." I announce, leaving Frank to decorate the top half of the tree.

I start making the hot chocolate in the kitchen, listening to the Christmas music playing. This is Frank and I's first Christmas together, and I'm so happy. We got engaged about a year ago. I could not imagine a more perfect person to spend Christmas with.

"Hazel, I finished the lights." Frank pops his head in the kitchen. "I can get a step stool for you if you want."

"It's okay. You finish the top. I'll be in there with the hot chocolate soon." I wave him away, whisking the hot chocolate.

"Okay." Frank rushes back to the tree. I laugh at his enthusiasm.

I pour the hot chocolate into mugs, add a few marshmallows, and head back to the living room.

"Tada!" Frank proudly shows off his part of the tree. "What do you think?"

"It's so pretty!" I hand him his mug. "Wow, this is amazing." I admire Frank's work. "The ornaments are so well placed."

I turn back to a red faced Frank. "Thanks," he takes a sip from his mug, his eyes lighting up. "Mmm, this is so good."

I smile, going over to sit on the couch. Frank follows. "This will be the best Christmas ever." I say, snuggling closer to him. "Now hand me the blanket, I'm still cold."

Frank spreads it over me, then kisses my cheek. We sit together, sipping hot chocolate and admiring the tree.

"Oh!" I sit up suddenly, startling Frank. I would've spilt my hot chocolate had the mug not been empty. "We need to put the star on top of the tree!"

"Oh, yeah, we forgot about that." Frank says, setting down his mug.

I get up from the couch, taking the mugs to the kitchen. I come back and rummage through the decoration boxes until I find the tree topper.

I stare up at the far away top of the tree. I take a deep breath, exhaling sharply. I get as close as I can without bumping into it, rise up on my tippy, tippy toes, reach up, stretch...

And I'm still 6 inches away from reaching the top.

I try again. Stretching, reaching, tippy toeing. I still can't reach.

"Ugh! Being short sucks." I try again and again, determined to reach the top-even though I know I will never be able too.

I try one last time before I'm about to give into defeat.

"Need some help?" Frank asks from behind me as he grabs my waist and lifts me up.

"Haha! Success!" I shout, placing the star on top with pride and victory.

Frank lowers me and I turn to face him. "Thank you, Frank." I say, kissing him. "Now the decorating is finished."

"Yes it is. And we did a pretty good job, if I don't say so myself." Frank agrees, looking around our living room.

"I reached the top of the tree. My day is complete." I place my hands on my hips proudly, smiling. "Thanks Frank."

Frank laughs. "That rhymes. 'Thanks'-'Frank'." He laughs to himself some more.

I chuckle. "That is funny. Now can we watch a Christmas movie?" I ask, walking over to the TV, turning it on.

"I'll get the cookies and cocoa." Frank says, going to the kitchen.

"I've got the TV, blankets, pillows and couch." I call back, snuggling into the blankets and pillows on the couch.

Frank comes back in a few minutes with our drinks and treats.

He squeezes next to me, wrapping us in a blanket like before. He hands me a mug and places a plate of cookies in between us. I press play and we sit together, enjoying the Christmas spirit.
