Hello and how the heck are we almost at Christmas?! I'm not kidding, I actually think that time is flying by. Is it just me or is everything going by so fast this year? (It could be COVID's fault. It's always COVID's fault). Anyways, I wrote a little more Fierrochase today because you seriously CANNOT go wrong with these two. I hope you enjoy!

Christmas Countdown: Today is December 22, which means only 3 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!

I'm sitting in my living room, enjoying a nice fire and cup of cocoa, when I hear the dreaded sound. I sigh and get up from the couch, making my way over to the window. Through the frost, I can see the blonde headed demon himself. Magnus Chase. He's caroling at the house two doors down.

Every year, he goes around our neighborhood, caroling. And every year, he makes it his personal goal to carol at my house. He's never been successful, obviously. I would never let him, and I never will. He's constantly bugging me. Whether it be at the local grocery store, around the neighborhood, or personally visiting me, he seems to always be around. And he often times puts up a obviously fake facade, pretending to be all macho and tough. He's a big pain in my-

I jump, almost spilling my hot chocolate, when I see he's already at the next door neighbor's house. I have approximately three minutes before he arrives at my house.

I quickly set down my mug on the coffee table. I run to the kitchen, filling up a cup of water. I rush back to the living room, putting out the fire. Then I flip off all the light switches.

"Phew." I collapse on the couch. "Hopefully he'll think I'm not home or asleep."

I finish my cocoa, then go to the window to spy on him. He's making his way to my house. I hold my breath, watching him as he comes up to my lawn. "Please go away, please go away, please go away!" I chant, hoping he'll go away.

He doesn't. He takes one look at my house, then comes right up to the front door, ringing the bell. I don't move. I wait and watch him, hoping he'll take the hint and leave.

He doesn't. He just rings the doorbell again.

And again.

Then a loud knock.

Then...

"Alex Fierro, I know you're in there, open up!"

I still wait and watch by my window.

Magnus knocks and rings the bell once more, then walks back out to the lawn. I silently pray that he's leaving.

Of course, he doesn't. He just scoops up some snow, packs it into a ball, and chucks it at my house. It hits the outside with a loud WHACK.

"AAAAALEX FIEEEEEROOO!" He screams at my house, probably waking up everyone in the neighborhood.

I roll my eyes. I open the window, "SHUT THE F UP!" I scream back.

He laughs, doing a little dance as he comes up to the window. "I knew you were home. You can't trick a Chase."

"Uh, yeah, you can." I flick his nose, making him flinch backwards. "I tricked you on April Fools day. You honest to god thought that it was a real bug under the lampshade. It was a freaking piece of paper!"

"Okay, in my defense..." he starts to say, then drops his head. "Yeah, I got nothing."

"Go away." I shut the window. Magnus still stares back at me. He knocks on the glass.

"Let me in." He whines. "Please!"

"Nope, now go away." I close the curtains. I turn away from the window, crossing my arms. I hear a thump. I resist the urge to turn back around.

A slow tapping from the window. I still don't budge. Insistent tapping. Tap... tap... tap... tap... tap...

"OH MY GOD JUST STOP!" I yell, flinging back the curtains, opening the window. I stick the top half of me outside and shove Magnus away from my house. "I don't know what it will take to get it through your insanely thick skull, but you're a pest and need to-"

Magnus kisses me.

He pulls away, staring at me. I just stare back, practically in shock. "Uh, I'm sorry I was just-I, uh, you see-

I punch him. Square in the face. I'm pretty sure I felt his nose crack. "Get out. Leave. Go away." I shove him.

He looks hurt, emotionally and physically. His nose isn't bleeding, which makes me mad knowing I didn't break it. He sighs, getting up and leaving.

"I'm sorry," he says softly as he walks away from my house.

I close the window and curtains, shaking. My brain is still catching up on everything that happened in those few moments.

I go upstairs, and climb into bed. As I lay under the covers, I shiver. With fear, cold and a weird, unpleasant feeling. Magnus Chase kissed me. The annoying little creep who likes to follow me around like a lost puppy. I shiver again. Then I punched him, yelling at him to go away. I'll admit, replaying that scene in my head makes me look cruel. I shudder. But what really makes me feel weird is that kiss. His lips were warm. It caught me by surprise. I couldn't shake the feeling that something about tonight was off. But something felt oddly familiar and right. I shake and shiver and shudder, not being able to get rid of this sickening feeling.

I'm lying awake, trying to get rid of this feeling, even though I know perfectly well what it is.

"No," I murmur to myself. "No this isn't happening." I try and convince myself and for a second it works. The feeling goes away, but then it comes back.

I shiver once more, then close my eyes and try to sleep. Of all the things I'll admit, dreaming of a certain Chase that night is not one of them.
