I only had pulled it up to look at the screen for a moment before dismissing it. I just wanted to make sure I was right about how much the Hp and Ap would increase and I was which was ok. Anyway, moving on besides that I moved my eyes back to the group of people, four in total, as they stared at me back. So I just blinked at them as I wasn't sure what else to do here. I didn't put much thought into the actual talking part of this.

"Um kid?" I blinked again as I looked over at the lady who had spoke up. She was wearing mostly dark blue and were much better quality than my own clothes, to be fair the two men and the other lady all had better quality clothing as well but I looked at her first and as such noticed it on her first as well. Now then, I wonder what I should say...

"Hi" It worked the last time I had to speak so I didn't see a reason why it wouldn't work this time as well. The lady shared a look with her...Friends? Family? Acquaintances? Whatever ever they were, they all shared a look with each other as I looked upwards away from the lady's face at the words that were floating over her head.

Level: ?
Teal Arcune

A question mark isn't a number, of that's I'm certain so I wonder why it's saying that?...Maybe it's trying to indicate that it's a mystery to me? I wonder then. Looking over at the other three, I noted instantly that I could see the names of them all and there levels, ranging from forty-seven to fifty-one, which was quite high. But not the most important thing as I'm more curious about what makes her different than those three. Wait, can they also see my level? What if they have there own Game System like mine?

"Um kid. What are you doing out here. This isn't exactly peaceful territory" Oh right, talking. I just blinked again as I thought about how to best explain what I needed to convey for a few seconds before figuring it mostly out and said to her.

"I woke up in the forest like this...I'm not exactly sure where I am or who I am. Would you mind helping?" I noted that they all were looking at each other even before I had asked for help. Did I do something wrong? I don't think so, I mean I answered her question. Though I did also ask for assisstance as well but I don't believe there is any harm in asking.

"You...don't know who you are?" The male on the far left was the one to ask. Turning to look at him, I noted his name down as Gray Allso while also noting that he was level forty-nine though that was mostly because they were right next to each other above his head. Still I answered his question all the same.

"I know my name but that's it. I can't seem to recall anything from before I woke up" Gray just leaned back a bit while his face did this strange thing where it squished up a bit with his nostrils flaring. I knew it was called a facial expression but I had no idea what it meant. Thinking back on it, I don't recall using any kind of facial expression so far, it just didn't occur to me. Was I suppose to do so? I'm not sure.

"Well then, what's your name?" Gray's face seemed to relax a bit as I turned away from him to look at the other woman, Garnet Exume. The names were things I found of interest, they all had links to colors, I wonder why that is? Wait, Ash is a color as well isn't it. Huh. Speaking of Ash I should use that as an answer.

"My name is Ash Kay" She nodded at that before looking at the three of her, whatever they were, before they all seemed to come to some kind of silent agreement, as they all gave each other a nod before Teal turned back to look at me and said.

"Well, it's late and while I doubt the night would be much of a problem for your seeing, I think it would be best if you stayed with us tonight. You never know when a Grimm could attack after all" Grimm? I have no idea what that is or could mean but judging by the context I'm pretty sure it isn't something good. More than likely the danger my last quest had warned me about.

"What's a Grimm? I'm unfamiliar with the term" I was and that was interesting, this is the first time a word has failed to come up with a proper context that makes sense, even the term semblance had a definition that I knew made sort of since. But the definition of Grimm came up with terms that didn't match a danger or threat, only an emotional state. Teal's eyes widen a bit in what I think might be shock as she said quite quickly.

"You don't know what Grimm are?" I thought about saying no but instead decided to try my best at this whole body language thing and just shook my head. I had tilted it before which I think I might prefer to the wobbling that came from shaking my head to imply no. Really I still find blinking to be the most enjoyable out of the things I've done to express an emotion from my facial features. Anyway, Teal leaned back in what might be shock at that while the others seemed to mimic her actions. After a moment she sat back up straighter and said in a tone that I believe means she was very serious.

"Grimm...Grimm are creatures, no, monsters of destruction. They're horrible beasts that attack anything that isn't also Grimm. They're also attracted to negative emotions like fear and panic so when one attacks, the emotions of the survives just bring more to them...It's been a struggle for most, which is why us hunters and huntresses are here. To fight off the Grimm" Hunter? Huntress? I can assume to know from context clues but it would be better to ask.

"You say us, is that the reason why you all are so strong? Because you're hunters that fight these Grimm creatures?" I can only guess that Hunters and the other label are people that hunt down these Grimm...More than likely they are trained to do so as otherwise I feel like that would be quite dangerous and not good for anyone if untrained people fought these monsters as that would more than likely lead to even more negative emotions which would defeat the purpose of them in the first place.

"Yeah, that's right. In fact my team and I are returning from a mission to clear out a few Boarbatusks and Beowolves that had been attacking a near by village" I had no idea what those two names she said meant but I can assume that they are types of Grimm which mean there are different kinds of these monsters. Interesting. At least I now know a bit more about the threat I was told about. it also puts in context about how weak I am.

"You all are around level fifty. Is that needed to be that strong to able to defeat those Grimm?" I wanted to know if it would be more optimal to just run from Grimm as if I have to be on their level to stand a chance I don't believe such a thing will be happening for a long while. Though Teal seemed a bit confused about my question however, though I wasn't fully sure why.

"What do you mean level?" I just blinked before slowly bringing up my hand and pointing up at the space a bit above her head and said simply.

"It says right there that your name is Teal Arcune and that you're level is fifty-three" I didn't know why I lied, maybe it was because if I said it was in fact a question mark she would just look at me funny but it wasn't my fault that her level was weird while her..team's? Level were able to be seen. Though I was distracted from all they're suddenly shocked faces as a new box popped up in front of my eyes.

I just blinked to myself as I read over the words before dismissing the screen and focused my attention back on the four. They all didn't seem to know what to say, which gives me a feeling that this is something that only I have access to then. Interesting. After a moment Teal just asked me another question.

"And what's my friends' names?" She gestured to her group as she said that. I blinked before looking at the three tags above their heads, making sure I had all there names in the right order before listing them all off while pointing to the one that had the corresponding name as I said it. Teal looked shocked again, I'm getting better at recognizing that emotion it seems. Maybe I could help them out a bit.

"I'm not exactly sure what the word means but I believe it has something to do with my semblance" That seemed to make them calm down a bit, I wasn't sure why considering I still wasn't exactly sure what a semblance is but I can ask that in a moment so I don't see it as something that is needed to be stressed on at the moment.

"Oh, um, yeah I guess I can see that. Semblances can be a bit weird like that, though you knowing our names is a bit weird, not to mention whatever you mean by levels...Um anyway, no actually, those Grimm we fought aren't anything special, we could have done that back when we were in school, in fact we did back at Shade Academy " Oh, so there is a hunting school, that's neat, though the name of the academy did spark something in the back of my mind but nothing came from it. I feel like Gamer's Mind isn't as prefect as it says it is to be honest.

"Oh, ok" From there the conversation stopped as I continued to look at the four while waiting on one of them to say something as I wasn't really sure if I should say anymore or what I would say even if I did have something to add to this. After a few long moments which felt a bit like minutes Teal finally coughed a bit and said.

"Come on, grab a sit and sit with us, no need for you to tire yourself out by standing" I thought about making a comment about how I don't get tired but decided against it at the last moment as I walked over and dropped myself onto the ground. It was a bit rougher than I meant for it to be but I believe it's because of the fact that this was the first time I've sat down before. Still, no one was saying anything and I feel like in some way it might have been my fault, I should do something.

"Thank you for allowing me to stay" Teal waved my thanks off and muttered something about how it was the right thing to do. Well then, that didn't seem to help any, and I'm out of ideas or things to use to get air to stop feeling so...what's the word...Awkward! That's it. This feels awkward and it's a new feeling for me and I'm not sure I like it. But I'm not exactly sure what I should do now.

For having a discuss in which you convince a group to let you stay with them for the night while also gaining valuable information about this worlds threat: CHR and INT have increased by two points

Oh. Well that doesn't actually help me any at the moment now does it. Whatever, it's not like I was talking much before this so all this means is I'm still just with my thoughts. Which is something I'll be able to do thing, after all, that increase just reminded me about something. I have no real idea about what Aura is for in this world. I mean really, I haven't been doing anything with it at the moment but it seems a bit important. I wonder what it all can d-

"Hey kid" I didn't react for a long second before realizing that they had referred to me as that before I said my name, so I looked up to see who had said it and noted that Grey was looking at me at the moment before tossing me a random question.

"What are you feeling at the moment?" I blinked at that as I had to think about the question for a long moment, mostly because I was trying to figure it out myself. I'm calm but that's not a feeling, it's more like my natural state of being, so I don't think it really counts. After some more thought on the matter I answered with.

"Slightly awkward and a bit curious" Grey laughed a small bit at that though I wasn't really sure why before sighing to himself. Is he having mood swings? After a second he shook his head before saying to me.

"You don't feel scared any? I haven't met many with amnesia but I'd figure waking up in the woods with no memory and only your name would be quite scary" I blinked to myself at that. As I wasn't really sure why I should be scared about all this. Maybe it's because I have yet to feel the emotion but I don't think it would line up properly to what is happening to me. I wonder how I can explain that to him?

"I don't believe I've felt fear yet. I haven't felt many emotions yet, it's mostly been interest because I've found relearning and experiencing everything to be a bit interesting. I think the most I've come to fear is being a bit distressed at this all but it wasn't anything to make much note of" Grey's face turned into another expression at that which I wasn't fully sure what it meant, but I doubt it was meant to be a good thing. I wonder-

Oh. He's wincing. I don't know why he's doing that but at least I can recognize what it is now. Thankfully, Slate, Slate Natune the other male, was quick to pick up when Grey stopped talking all together as he leaned forwards a bit and said.

"So then, what all have you been doing since you've woken up?" I couldn't tell if it was the skill, but I figured it was, that let me know that he didn't actually seem all that interested, but still, I didn't have much experience in talking so I might as well get as much as I can while I'm in this nice safe area. So with that I thought about how to respond and said.

"It's mostly been a lot of walking, thinking, and recalling unimportant information" He nodded at that as he leaned back like he was really interested. I didn't find his falseness all that endearing to be honest, though I did note that my newest skill leveled up from me noticing him putting on this show for me. Still, it would seem I would rather have no conversation if one is just going to act in this way. I believe in terms of words. He's acting like I'm a five year old idiot. Thankfully, and much more fully, this time Teal spoke up and saved me from the conversation.

"Alright, it's getting late, come on everyone. Let's get to sleep. And here...Ash, you can use this to sleep on. He don't have any other sleeping bags however" I just nodded and took the blanket and looked at it for a long moment, before placing it behind me as I laid down on it for a long moment. Not really uncomfortable any, more like the rough ground didn't really register for me. I suppose that should be weird. Instead of considering it, I just closed my eyes and figure I should get some sleep n-

My eyes fluttered up to the day light only to blink again to myself making sure I was seeing this right. I had just laid down only a second go and it's already gone through the night? That's interesting, so I can go to sleep whenever I chose to. Like a video game character. Neat. So with that I sat up and noticed that a box had appeared in front of my eyes. I just blinked again before reading through it.

Hp and Ap are 50% recovered as you slept semi comfortably on the ground
All psychical conditions are fully removed you slept semi comfortably on the ground

Oh? Neat, I'm guessing the second one is always that while the first one's bonus probably increases up to one hundred percent based on the type of sleeping condition you have when you fall asleep. It doesn't change anything for me to be honest, as those two bars were full already and I didn't have any conditions that needed to be cured.

Still, it was information that was good to know so I just closed the windows and stood up, gathering the blankets up and thought about what I was suppose to do with them when a pair of arms flashed in my eye line for a moment and suddenly my arms were empty. I just blinked to myself, wondering what had happened before looking up to see the blanket in Slate's hand. He gave me a grin before moving away as he stuffed it into his backpack. I can only assume that they don't have an inventory either then.

I was about to move my hands back when Slate tossed something towards me. Turning my head in the direction of the item, I reached out and grabbed the package. Uncurling my fingers, I looked down at the item in my hand for a moment before blinking to myself as I looked at the food bar in my hand. I guess is my breakfast, I wonder if I even need to eat, I mean I don't feel hungry and I haven't gotten any kind of message saying otherwise. Oh well, I wouldn't mind trying out eating.

So with that I twisted the wrapper around and brought my hands up to the top and opened it up. Pulling out the bar, I looked at the slightly bland looking bar of nutrients for a moment before taking a bite out of it. Chewing was an interesting experience and it took a moment for me to come up with a proper word to describe the first thing I've ever eaten. It was a bit chalky.

Still, I finished the bar up, I mean I might not need it but it doesn't hurt and it was given to me so I see no reason why I shouldn't accept their niceness. So with that I looked at the empty wrapper in my hand for a moment before tossing it into my inventory, just because I haven't been able to use that system yet. Looking at the icon for the item for a moment I then dismissed the window and noted that the wrapper was gone from existence. Neat.

"So kid, what's your plan?" I blinked as I looked over at Garnet, I don't believe we've talked yet so I'm curious as to why she's starting now, or why they all are ignoring the fact that they know my name. Her face was unfortunately unreadable at the moment. I'll have to train Body Langues at some point, if only because being unable to understand people seems to be a constant detriment of mine. Anyway, onto her question. To be honest I didn't really have much of a plan at the moment.

"I'm not fully sure. I was wondering if you could tell me the direction of the village you mentioned last night" It was more than likely closer than any other settlement near by at the moment so it was the best place to go for a while and try to maybe find some way to make some Lien so I wouldn't have to worry about something like a Grimm attack. Though Garnet's face suddenly turned closer to a grimace for some reason. Though I didn't mind to much since I knew that expression decently well at this point.

"Ah. I don't think you going there would be a good idea kid. They aren't exactly nice to... people like you" People like me? I'm not sure what that means. So I'm unaware of why I still shouldn't go to this place, if I explain that hopefully she's fill me more in on the details.

"People like me?" She winced again, I wonder why so many people, out of the four I've met, do that when I ask questions. Maybe it's considered impolite? If that is the case they should tell me this so I can be more prepared about such an event happening in the future.

"Well, you know, faunus" I blinked for a moment before remembering that I have fox ears, and that they are quite noticeable from their position on top of my head. After a moment on thinking about those ears, I noted that I could feel them and noted that I had made one of them, the right one, twitch a bit. Still, I'm unsure why such a thing matters at all.

"I do not understand why my race matters" Oh her face changed again, now it's one I have no experience in, though I couldn't examine it much more as her downcast eyes looked away from me as if she didn't want to look at me. I do not understand what the problem is still, I hope she will fill me in before I have to ask again because I'm still not all that use to using my voice. As if she knew this, though I doubted it, she looked back at me and said.

"It shouldn't matter, but, well, a lot of humans look down on faunus for one stupid reason or another and that isn't something you should have to deal with at the moment" I blinked at this information when a word was triggered in the back of my mind. Racism. That is quite the problem that I feel I'll be having to deal with now...Well, at least I'm aware of it now so I'll have more likely a chance of avoiding such situations.

"I see. Could you tell me the directions anyway" Garnet was looking at me, I wasn't sure why. I did see what she was talking about and while it was quite unfortunate, I still needed to get somewhere safe as it would appear that wandering around monster infested forests isn't a good thing to do when I value my continued existence. So while the people, more than likely humans, will look down at me or some other trivial matter, it would be more optimal than for me to be attacked.

"Um...Well, instead of doing that you could come with us for a while. We're heading to Vale at the moment, we were planning on taking a ship from there back to Vacuo from there but until then we could head to Vale and see if we can find somewhere for you to stay. What do you think about it?" Kingdoms. I wasn't sure why that those words triggered those other words for me. Still, that didn't really answer her question so I, after a moment of reflection, just said.

"Ok" She nodded at that and moved away, more than likely to tell Teal about what she had told me as she seemed to be the leader of these four. With that in mind I was about to bring up my skill menu because I wanted to look over my new ones as I only gave them a glance over when I received them. But before I could do that another box popped up before my eyes and read the following.

Quest Created!

-Don't lose any of your protectors
-Don't die

Rewards:
-750 Exp
-Random Skill Book
-Safety from Grimm in a large kingdom
-New Title

Accept?

I read it all over for a long moment before accepting the quest. Mostly for the same reason as before, I was already doing it anyway so why not. Not to mention I was getting a whole lot more exp from this quest than my last one so why not. Plus I'm curious as to what a 'Skill Book' is as well, while the safety was just a given from getting there and I didn't really have much to add about a title, as I wasn't really sure what the point of them were at the moment.

Dismissing the menu away from my eyes, I turned to look at the four humans and noted that everything was already being finished being packed away. They are quite fast it would seem. So with that I walked up to them and looked around the empty space for a long moment before tuning and noting that Slate was waving on for me to follow them as we began to walk on towards wherever this Vale was located.

Though constant observation and cold reading Body Language has leveled up

I dismissed the message, it had been about two days now and in that time I had done my best to learn what expression meant what. It wasn't easy as I was starting from scratch but my skill helped me out a lot and now that it was level twelve I could almost recognize every facial expression meant and while I still wasn't the best at the other parts of the body I could tell that my new...Friends? That's what they've called me at least, well anyway, they were tense at the moment. I could tell from their shoulders and I wasn't sure why.

"What's wrong?" Grey jumped a bit at my voice and suddenly all four pairs of eyes were trained on me. I wasn't sure why so I just continued to look back, waiting on my question to be addressed. After a long second Teal moved closer to me while looking around the area for some reason and said quietly.

"Something's wrong, stay next to me ok? And if we're attacked, then you run. Do you understand?" I don't get it, but her face was looking quite serious for all the nothing that was happening so I just nodded as I looked around for a long moment, wondering what she was talking about when a box appeared in front of my eyes. I only skimmed over it for a second before understanding what was happening.

I now know exactly what they were talking about and that's only because my mind suddenly screamed at me louder than I've ever been to move. Like the name suggested, it was near instinctive as I jumped to the side, landing and rolling onto my back as a big black figure shot out of a near by bush and pounced on the space I had just been occupying. I just sat up and blinked as I noted the faint trace of what I assume is pain from my rough landing before it was suddenly gone. Huh. With that to no longer focus on, I moved my eyes at the black beast and blinked to myself at the name over it's head.

Level: 26
Beowolf

Interesting, so this is an example of a Grimm. I thought about asking it a question when suddenly a sword was jabbed into the creature's head and just like that the Grimm was gone, breaking apart in front of my eyes as it turned into black smoke. Before I could think more on the matter I was suddenly grabbed by I believe Garnet as I was patted down for some strange reason while Teal called out from somewhere behind me.

"There's more here! Get ready Team Tagsing!" Tagsing? That's a weird name for a team. I didn't get anymore time to think about it as from the bushes came what looked like over a dozen more Grimm. Huh. Well this will be interesting I guess.

Ash isn't good with emotions or people but he's new to it all and is learning quickly so give him something of a break. Anyway, here's a fun fact, I've always been quite bad at names, mostly trying to remember them, but I also have a hell of a time trying to make them for characters as well, and Tagsing is a prime example of me having no idea how I was suppose to translate Team TGSG into an actual word. Anyway, See ya.
