I Don't Own RWBY

I don't hum, at least not often, but if I did I feel like this would be a good time to do so, as I looked at myself in the body mirror that the clothing store I was in had. I have to say, I didn't look half bad. On my shoulders was an open overcoat that went about half way to my knees that was a deep brown mix with a burgundy like color. For a shirt I had a plain light grey shirt that worked well enough. While for pants it was a similar color to my coat expect it wasn't as red, more closer to dark brown. The boots I was wearing though were the exact same shade as the coat.

I've been told by the nice woman that helped be that the colors worked well with my hazel colored eyes. Oh yeah, I have hazel colored eyes, really this is the first time I've even seen my face really so that was an interesting experience to have in the middle of trying on a few different sets of clothes. Still, anyway, I had what I wanted and this stuff was even combat built. Yeah, that's a thing, there are a number of clothing stores that are built to make closes designed to not be torn apart in the middle of a fight while also having the cloth it's made out of being much more flexible than it probably should be so it doesn't get in the way and restrict movement.

So I got about five sets of this outfit. Why only this outfit? Not sure, just seemed like something that made some sense. I liked what I was wearing and having to many different clothes would just be hard to keep a track on what pieces goes to what outfit. I seem to like fashion but I don't see a reason to make it all that much more complex. So with that I walked up to the counter and set the clothes down while I adjusted my collar a small bit. Just because I quite like my new look doesn't mean I'm use to the feeling of it yet.

I'm just glad I'm basically temperature blind because of Gamer's Body, besides it's the middle of Summer at the moment I believe and I'm wearing a dark overcoat. One doesn't have to be a genius to know that isn't a particularly good combination for having a person's body's temperature properly regulated. But I can't feel heat to an extreme really, I can be aware that it's warm out but until it's hot enough to damage me, it's all the same, and in the reverse as well of course with the cold.

"That's four hundred Lien" I blinked to myself at that as I looked down at one of the outfits, and just to make sure used observe to check the prices of them again. One fully set costs a little under seventy, times that by five and that's about three hundred and forty, which is a good bit under the price the man at the register just told me. Hmm. Unfortunate, should I say something? Sixty Lien isn't exactly much but-

"Did you here me? I said four hundred, if you don't have it then get out" Oh, he's rude, now I don't feel as bad...No wait, I wouldn't have felt bad either way, it's just this way I'm more justified to say something about it.

"The told cost of these items is three hundred and forty Lien, I do not understand why you are saying four hundred" His face had changed, it was now a more angry looking expression, I believe it is a glare.

"And why would you think that" I just looked at the man for a moment, wondering why he was asking me something as dumb as that. Still, all that same, I just lifted my hand and pointed at one of the many price tags that was on the clothing items. The man's face turned a bit red at that and it looked like he was about to shout at me when that nice lady that helped me from before walked up and said.

"Is there any trouble here Cor?" I lifted my eyes up to the top of the man's head and noted that was in fact his name. Cor, instead of reacting with the same indifference that I was, he seemed to suddenly turn a bit pale before gritting out.

"None at all, I was just telling this customer that his total was three hundred and forty. Right kid?" I am confused, turning to look at the nice woman, who I've decided to learn the name of now, it was Flora by the way, and shook my head. Flora clicked her tongue and looked at the man who suddenly seemed turn go back to red in the face. I am unsure what is happening but if I had to guess it is more than likely something to do with my ears as that seems to be a reoccurring theme of my life.

"You have to stop this Cor! I swear this is the fourth time this month alone that you've done this! I swear, I'm done with you treating our customer like shi-" Her loud rant was interrupted as Cor's face seemed to snap a bit as I looked at one of the many veins I could see from around the crown of his head twitch a bit before he let out a loud growl before leaping across the counter, and grabbed Flora and looked like he was about to try and hit her. I intervened.

I wasn't sure why, in in a moment I had been watching without much interest but in the next I felt something strange, it took the span of the second that I shot my hand into my inventory and pulled out Slate's Memento to realize what the feeling was. I was angry. Pointing the barrel of the gun right to the side of Cor's face, I said to him with my usual bland and monotone voice.

"Let go of her now" He had froze, looking at the barrel of the gun that was aimed right at his temple for a long moment before slowly letting go of Flora's shirt. I continued to stare at him as he backed up, as my mind pondered the idea of just shooting him. I didn't have any problems with killing it would seem if my willingness to pull the trigger was anything to go by. Interesting.

Oh ok, not really the best time I feel for a box to appear in front of me, but the information is neat enough that I don't mind. So with that I dismissed it and noted that the man was still looking at me in what I believe to be fear. Right then, level? Only seven, so no real threat there. Alright then, I'm not really sure what to do now. So I believe the best bet to do in this situation is to pass it on to someone else. With that I spoke out loud to Flora.

"Could you call the police?" I got a faint sound of what I hope was agreement as i noted the sound of a scroll being activated before she started to talk to someone that wasn't actually here. Well then, since it would seem that I have time to wait until the police arrive, I should finish up my shopping. So with that I placed my gun down onto the counter and dropped off the required Lien before pushing all the clothing into my inventory.

"Is that safe?" I blinked at the random words as I picked my gun back up and turned to face Flora. She seemed to gather my none moving face meant I was wonder what she meant.

"To just look away or put your gun down?" Is it? The magazine in Memento only hold twelve rounds. If it's going by base damage the man behind me will only be able to do six hundred damage at best if he's lucky enough to both empty the mag and hit all his shots, and even then, that's not enough to kill me as I would be able to react at least after the first two shots to use my Aura Shield. It could be considered risky but he wasn't anything I felt the need to be worried about. Not to mention he still is sitting on the ground and I would notice if he made a sudden leap at either me or my gun. Though of course that was a bit wordy, so I just said instead.

"My gun was in sight at all times and if he tried to attack me now, I would just shoot him" She nodded at that slowly while Cor made a weird sound behind me. I chose to ignore it as I reached up with my left hand and adjusted my overcoat a bit to try and get it to rest a bit more comfortably. Now then, time to keep on waiting. At least that was the plan before the door was kicked up as a teenager rushed in, looked around, saw me, and screamed out.

"I will thwart you robber!" I was very confused. Said confusion didn't decrease any as the teen jumped at me, before bouncing on one foot and twisted his body into a spin kick. It was a bit slow however, so I just took a step back and let it go past me. Looking at the teen for a moment as he landed on the ground I noted his level at a mild fifteen. He isn't the fastest though, so more than likely his main strength is in his, well, strength.

"I believe you have the wrong idea here" The teen, whose name was Meral, didn't even bother to listen to me as he continued to try and take my head off. So I just continued to not get hit while wondering briefly if shooting him would be a good idea. I mean he has more than enough health for it and it would probably get his attention at the very least. Well at least it would seem I've gotten another point in DEX from this.

"Meral. Could you stop causing this racket?" I blinked to myself as the outline of a wall appeared in front of me as Meral smashed his fist into it, causing him to yell out in pain as he jumped back and shook his hand around in pain. Looking over in the direction that the voice had come from, I noted that another teenager was there. The name above her was Terra, and she was level sixteen. Huh.

"But Terra! I'm trying to stop this robber! Look he has a gun and everything!" I blinked as I looked down the gun in my hand for a moment before wondering why my luck can be so high and yet still act so low. Well, whatever, so with that I did my best to come up with something to say while the two teenagers in front of me looked like they were about to start fighting themselves.

"This guy attacked that lady over there. If you want to know what happened you could just ask her" They both swiveled their eyes onto me, then to the guy that was still on the floor then to Flora. I really wish I didn't have to stay here, actually, I don't really need to be here, I've already paid and Flora can give a statement if it's really needed and now that these two are here I don't have to stay to make sure Cor doesn't do something. I'm just going to head out then.

So that's what I did, I turned and walked out of the store while the two teenagers walked up to Flora to try and gt the story out of her. Honestly, I just wanted to get a new set of clothes...I wonder if it's just my life that's this random.

"Hey, your back already huh? Nice new digs, it suits you" I just nodded at Brock's words, something I've begun to find these head movements were quicker and less forceful than speaking. With that the man began to pull out a few boxes of ammunition. As he did that I spoke out for him to know how many I would be getting.

"Twenty boxes of those, I also need a wrist band to hold a few magazines on" He looked at me for that decision for a moment before shrugging and moved under his counter to find the item I had requested. I had given it some thought and had come to the conclusion that reaching into my inventory to pull out another loaded mag took a while and could be used in a better capacity.

"Would this work?" Brock handed over a long leather band with some loops at the top and bottom to hold the mags in place. I pulled out one of my fifteen count magazines and slide it in, with bottom being the one that was resting on my wrist so when I went to grab it, I could get a grip on the lip of the mag to pull it out. Sure, for most this would be a bit hard to use, but no matter the position, my gun mastery skill allows me to reload much faster than normal, and since I would otherwise have to quickly pull it out of my inventory, the speed should be about the same until I'm more use to this.

"Yes" he nodded at that before getting back to pulling out the boxes of ammo. I wonder if he just doesn't care what a teenager is doing buying over three hundred bullets, a blade, ten magazines and a wrist mount in two days, or if he's just use to people coming in with large requests. Could honestly be either with how many hunters are probably in this city. Especially since I believe a hunter academy is also in this city like the one that Teal and Slate went to.

"Alright then, let's see. Since your still buying a lot, I'll take some more off, and call the cost at three hundred fifty Lien" I nodded at that as I pulled out the requested funds and handed it over while dragging the boxes towards me before dropping them into my inventory while also sliding the wrist band onto my right arm. I spent a moment getting use to the feeling, before pulling out five magazines and slipped them into all five of the available slots. Which meant, I had seventy-five rounds on my wrist, with twelve in my gun. That's a lot of ammo in a small area.

"So what are you doing with so many bullets? Not that I mind of course, it's good business, especially since everyone always uses those fancy dust rounds nowadays, no one cares for the classics anymore I swear" He shook his head good naturally at that so I thought about how to answer his question for a moment before saying.

"I like to be prepared" He nodded at that which was nice, since I didn't really have much else for an answer. It was the only thing that made sense to me, it was in fact the reason why I was doing this. I liked having it available to use. Even if I would more than likely be using my blade if I can help it as it's of unlimited use rather than the limited number of shots a gun can have. What I'm getting at is I like to have extra of things and being prepared. Interesting.

"Completely understandable, especially with what the world can't be like. Well, I'll see you whenever you run out or you need something else" I gave him a nod before turning around and walking out of his shop while idly rotating my wrist as I got use to the feeling of the item located there underneath my coat.

I was in front of a dust shop at the moment, well, more accurately, I was walking right into a dust shop at the moment. Looking around for a moment, I took the time to look around to notice all the different types of dust around the shop. Some were crystals, which I found made the name dust to be a bit inaccurate, while in the back there were dispensers for what looked like powdered dust. I continued to look around for a moment as I walked further into the shop before asking the old man behind the counter.

"Can you give me a fire dust crystal?" He just huffed at that before opening up the glass counter from the back and pulled out the item I had asked for. He held it up to the light before passing it over to me. I just held it in my hand for only a moment when suddenly a number of boxes popped up in front of my eyes.

Interesting, I was expecting something like the second one but the first, that was a new one. Dismissing the windows, I ignored the slowly becoming worried expression the shop owner was giving me as I looked down at the red dust crystal in my hand for a moment before Observing it.

Fire Dust Crystal
Rank- B

A fire dust crystal that was mined and then refined into the form presented before you for easy use

Charges remaining: 75
Damage per charge: 70 Fire Damage

Cost: 700 Lien

It sounded really good until you consider what the front text had read about. Seventy-five charges, each doing seventy damage, that alone is like almost six thousand damage just form one item..but then you remember that at my low level, it wouldn't be near that good, as the crystal would only have twenty-five charges with my skill cost, and the damage per charge would only be about fourteen. Of course then the bonuses from the Dust Mastery come in but that's besides the point with how little of a bonus it gives at the moment.

"I'd like this and one of the black dust crystals as well" Why was I paying for these when I just went on a mental rant about how they weren't actually all that good compared to the dust rounds I could buy? Well because those rounds would also be effected by those skills as well making them no where near as good as they present themselves to be, and while I don't really have much experience on the matter, personally, being able to bend and manipulate what seem to be elements just seem to be plain fun.

And even if the skill starts off as bad, it doesn't mean it's going to stay that way, over time it'll become better and better, I just have to start somewhere with it. The old man seemed to become a bit more relaxed for some unknown reason as he reached under the counter and took the other crystal out while I observed it, making note that it was a dust crystal based on gravity. To be honest, I just picked that one as it was the one that caught my eye first after the red one. When he handed it over, I got it's version the of fire manipulation skill.

With that I handed over a large portion of my funds and made a note that I should make sure to pickpocket some people on the way back to my rented apartment. Did I need the money? Not really, but like with the bullets from before, I seem to like to be prepared and having a well stocked fund available to me seems like something that would work well with that idea.

Through a number of wise decisions, WIS has increased by 2

Through a number of smart decisions, INT has increased by 3

Oh? Well I guess I did do a lot of math and skill pondering while I was looking through all the dust stuff so that's something I guess. Anyway, I should get a move on, I had been planning on maybe leaving today, but it's getting a bit late for that to happen, though I should pickpocket a few on the way back before I go to sleep. Oh hey, a number of people are heading my way now, since I was only a few feet in front of the shop, I'm guessing they also wanted some dust.

And since that they all look fancy enough and from where they're heading, they probably have a decent bit of funds on them. Let's see. I glanced up and noted that none of them were all that high leveled, just a mix of fives to nines. At least before my eyes caught onto the only one wearing white, he was level forty-two. I'll just avoid him then. With that I walked forwards and slowly moved past the outer ring of men, using Pickpocket about five times as they all entered the store.

Once the men had all entered, I looked down at my full hand before tossing it into my inventory, watching as the number ticked up a bit higher than I figured it would but lower than I would have liked. Oh well, can't have anything, though I do wonder what those people were doing, going to a high grade dust store where everything is quite expensive without the money to really buy...any...thing. Oh. Those were robbers. Huh. I believe the word I'm looking for is 'ironic'.

Accept?

I looked it over for a moment before wondering what quest line it was talking about. I was quite curious about it to be honest, mostly because ti was the first time a quest has mentioned something like this as a reward, along with a new perk, which was also something new. Though I will admit, the optional objective also was another reason why I choose to accept the quest, I mean, after all, why wouldn't I get some more of that dust stuff. At the very least, it would be nice to have a full set of the colors.

Though my thoughts on the matter were quite interrupted as right after I had accepted the quest, the sound of what I believe to be glass shattering came from behind me along with a body of one of the thieves with a small girl standing on his unconscious body. The two of us just stared at each other for a moment before a male voice sounded out from behind us.

"Ok then, get them" I think we both blinked at the same time as we turned to look as a number of men in dark suits ran at us. The girl next to me smirked a small bit as she pulled something off her back while I pulled out both my gun and my blade. It felt a little under kill when the item the girl next to me expanded and morphed into a massive red scythe. I can honestly say, I wasn't expecting that.

Though my thoughts were interrupted once more as at least fifteen men charged at the two of us. So I just lifted my gun arm up, while the girl charged forwards, and activated my Aura Enhance as red hummed over my body for a moment before disappearing. With that I aimed at the closest man and pulled the trigger and watched as his head snapped back as a small window popped up underneath him

201/300

I see, so with that I pulled the trigger twice more as he crashed to the ground, not moving, though he did have three hit points left so I guess he's unconscious. As I contemplated this another ran at me with a red curved sword. With that I snapped my wrist and shot my left hand up to block the strike with my suddenly extended short blade. Pushing the man back a bit, I raised my right hand up, placed the barrel of the gun to the man's chest and shot four times, keeping an eye on his heath as I did so.

331/450
232/450
133/450
34/450

He was still standing so I retracted the blade in my left hand, spun the handle in my grip, before smacking the blunt end of the hand into the man's temple, it counted as a strong hit. So with that, I raised my gun back up and shot four rounds into one man's chest and watched him fall before ejecting the mag as I tossed my blade into the air for a brief moment as my left hand came to my right wrist, pulled another mag out, loaded it in, before shooting out and grabbing the handle of my blade before it fell.

A round was already chambered in Memento, so with that I just continued to fire, missing once but knocking out the one I had hit from before after four shots fired in total. In that time the girl from before had already taken out the rest of the lower class in the ten or so seconds I had needed to defeat four of them. She was very fast. I would have spent a moment to look at her level and name, but before I could, a voice rang out as we both turned to look at the orange haired man, that I was pretty sure was the leader from his level alone.

"Well, I believe we all can say it's been an eventful evening. And while I would love to stick around, I'm afraid this is where we should part ways" He spoke as he lifted the cane at his side up, so the end was pointed at us. I already knew with how weird the girl's weapon was, I should have expected in some way for the fireball that shot out the end of it, more than likely from use of dust.

As it raced towards us, I used my jump skill to launch off to the side while the girl went straight up, as a gun shot came from her scythe, propelling her into the air. Because it was also a gun for some reason. As I landed on my feet, I looked around for a moment, before noticing that the man had rushed off somewhere. Before I could find out where he had gone, the girl's voice rang out from besides me as she ran forwards in what I assumed was a random direction.

"Protect him!" And with that she used the sniper part of her scythe to shoot herself up onto a roof top. I can certainly say my life is quite random. Anyway, I guess this is a good enough time as any to start with my looting, with that I walked in the direction of the store while picking up my discarded twelve round mag and reloading my half empty gun, just in case, as I walked into the store.

Most of the men left the storage containers they had been using to steal the dust and since the man that had run off hadn't taken one of them, they hadn't stole anything. But I can certainly blame them for anything that goes missing. With that I looked up at the ceiling for a moment, noticing that there wasn't any cameras, which was probably why this shop was the picked spot to be robbed in the first place and then started looting.

I just walked up behind the counter and just tossed all the crystals I could find into my inventory. It wasn't hard, the owner was still outside, more than likely in shock at what had just happened to his store. In all, I took a lot of things, though it was unfortunate that this store just sold the raw item, not gun rounds or ammunition, quite unfortunate. Now then, time to leave, as I should believe that all the excitement has ended.

Walking out of the shop, I blinked at the sight in front of me. Another person had shown up, a taller woman with blonde hair was looking at me with a serious expression on her face with the red color themed girl next to her, looking a bit...sheepish. First time I've used the word but I believe it to be accurate. I just looked at the two of them for a moment, while they looked back at me, before I said the only thing that came to mind.

"Hello"

Quest Completed

I had a serious debate with myself for a while about if I should do the cannon events from the start or not. In the end, I decided why the hell not and so here we are. To be honest, I originally set out for Ash to have a year or maybe two before the whole plot thing started to happen, but then I realized I don't actually want to think up a full set up new plot line while having to juggle with keeping Ash somewhat balanced for when the plot comes knocking. So here we are. I mean, me putting in a lot of effort for a completely new plots and ideas is what Cliche is there for. Anyway, See ya.
