The four friends were very excited about Ross and Rachel's wedding. In the past few weeks, everyone was organizing what was necessary. In fact, organizing what's left, like buying the rice, since Monica - being Monica - took over almost all the chores and wasn't very open to the opinions of others. Speaking of which, it wasn't long before she tried to convince Rachel to change her wedding dress for one that she thought was more chic and beautiful. Rachel almost accepted the change but took a position (or at least tried) after getting scolded by Phoebe asking her to be less of a pushover. Phoebe, by the way, would also be a godmother along with Monica, but despite also having authority over the decisions, she thought it best to "not provoke the monster". However, deep down, the blonde really preferred to stay a little out of the preparations, not because she wasn't happy for her friend, she really was very happy and also very proud of herself for proving to the others - especially Chandler - that she was right about the lobster thing. The reason for the detachment is that her head was elsewhere, occupied by a sensation that, unfortunately, she had already felt before.

She remembers the sensation that occurred her weeks before her mother killed herself: an anguish growing in her chest, an intensification that Phoebe assumed was indicative of something bad approaching. It wasn't just coincidence, she usually felt that kind of thing, the problem is that she never knew the meaning before it actually happens so, for whatever it was, she always tried to alert her friends when she felt like this. Joey, however, was always the only one who used to believe while others used to try to calm her down by saying that her predictions weren't always necessarily bad. This is somewhat true, as was the case when she discovered that her concern was, in the end, that Monica and Chandler had hired a band for their wedding without telling her. But, despite knowing that she can exaggerate from time to time, that was not the case. Phoebe knew something strange was going on and apprehension was taking her over.

"You know what, Monica? I don't think Ross will be very happy with a 10 foot cake " Rachel says looking at the preparations and intimately wondering if it was better not to have just Phoebe as a godmother, even if it meant the risk of her having a wedding totally decorated with Christmas ornaments.

"I don't think anyone will be, except Joey," says Phoebe, a little bored of Monica's madness.

"Why not? It's beautiful and represents the great love between you two. I bet your mom will love it. Furthermore, we are your godmothers and we love you so we are doing the best for you ".

"We are?" Phoebe looks at Monica.

"Come on, Pheebs, the rice rain is also very important".

"Okay, whatever" She replies sharply.

"Are you okay, Pheebs?" Says Rachel noticing her reaction.

"Is that... I still have that bad feeling… I know something is going to happen" you can see the fear on her face.

"Oh, Phoebes, we already talked about this. Sometimes it's not even a big deal and you're there worrying for nothing "Rachel consoles her friend holding her hands.

"Exactly. Maybe it's the string on your guitar that will break on the wedding day "Monica says laughing without taking her eyes off her cake model folder.

"This is not a joke, Monica! I know what I'm feeling and I'm serious! Do you know what?" She says those last words getting up from the couch "I hope this feeling is about your damn cake breaking inside the truck!" and leaves the apartment slamming the door, leaving Rachel and Monica confused.

"I think a smaller cake is better" ends Monica looking at her friend.

After a few more minutes of arguing about the wedding, they hear a knock on the apartment door

"Are you expecting someone?" Rachel asks since the six friends don't usually receive guests.

"No!?" Monica replies and gets up towards the door

"Oh, hello Mr. Green !"

"Daddy, oh my god! Hi "Rach says going to hug him" What are you doing here? Did something happen?"

"It happened that I still haven't been able to personally see my daughter who is engaged".

"Oh, daddy. I'm very happy that you came ".

"So ..." says Leonard entering the apartment "Ross, huh?" Rachel nods awkwardly, knowing that her father never really liked Ross.

"Finally he was ashamed of himself and decided to take care of his daughter and you".

"Daddy…"

"And where is my granddaughter?" responds by interrupting Rachel

"She is at home with Ross. You wanna go there?"

"Yes, I need to have a talk with him anyway" Rachel says goodbye to Monica and goes with her father to Ross' apartment

"So, Emma, how I taught you: We were not ..."

"On a break"

"That is my princess"

"Ross?" Rachel says entering the apartment

"Hey Rach, do you know what I was thinking? What if at the weekend we… OH… Hello, Mr. Green "

"Hello, Ross" he replies dryly and addresses Emma, picking her up "Hi my love, you're so grow up"

"Yeah ... She's two and a half already" Rachel says hugging Ross trying to lighten up his mood.

At this moment Leonard puts Emma back on the floor and sits down quickly putting his hand on his head.

"Daddy, are you okay ? What happened?" she says sitting next to him

"Oh sweet, I'm fine. It was just a pressure drop. Too much work so I don't eat right, you know ... "

"Oh, Daddy, you need to take care of yourself. You had a heart attack less than a year ago! Ross, can you prepare something for him to eat? " "Sure," Ross says honestly worried

"Do you still smoke? You know you can't play with your health "

"Don't worry, my love, I'm fine. Actually, so fine that I want to take Emma to the playground that your mother and I used to take you when you were little " he says getting up again.

"Oh, daddy… you know that I don't like playgrounds"

"My granddaughter barely has hair ... everything will be fine" jokes "Besides, I never got time to play with her"

"Well, I think it's okay then ... Right, Ross?" addresses to her fiance while he returns to the living room with some sandwiches in a bowl.

Ross, who had already heard the conversation, agrees because, although he doesn't like his future father-in-law, he can't deprive him of being with his granddaughter. Besides that, if Emma has fun this can contribute to overcoming Rachel's trauma.

After some more time (pretty uncomfortable for Ross) of conversation, Ross and Rachel say goodbye to Emma and put her in Leonard's car.

"Please take care of her, dad. Watch her hair "

"Of course, sweetpie, don't worry"

"See you later, Emma. Have fun. I love you "Rachel kisses her daughter's forehead followed by Ross and so the two return to the apartment.
